Vivziepop's ability to decay any women and fem-aligned characters she creates has always haunted Helluva Boss, and as a result, limits them to being one dimensional characters that fall into a "with them or against them" mentality when it comes to her male characters; they only exists to prop up other (male) characters or to serve as morally bankrupt villains.

From Verosika to Stella to Loona and Millie, this trend is clear from the beginning of the show and likely will follow it to the end. However, for this post I will discuss the recent victims of this trend: the lovely Glitz and Glam.

To be honest, I adore Glitz and Glam (to the point of writing fan fiction for them) and they have become my favorite characters in the entire show so this discussion will show some bias towards them. While some may say its too early for this call as they will be seen again, but from what I've seen on twitter from fans and even creators of their song alike, I do not have the hope this will occur.

From the beginning, Glitz and Glam are looked down on for their desire to win and for doing anything they can to get that position. When confronted with Fizz's kind words of support, they look down on him and further emphasize how they are going to win against him even gaining the title of "snatches" and "sluts" by Blitzo. From this moment forward, its clear the narrative doesn't want us to look kindly upon the sisters. After all, they are being "bitches" to Fizzarolli and competing against him in a manner that pushes him further and further into a breakdown. The fact that Fizz's relationship with Mammon and self esteem issues are not their fault is shown as irrelevant to both the audience and their creators.

This isn't made better by their song writers' commentary on twitter on how the glam sisters are perverting the true nature of clowning and that their song shows how they are simply wanting to get Mammon's attention by feeding into the financial and sexual exploitation (even saying that they want this to happen). This commentary solidifies the idea that they are not someone we should root for especially since they are allying themselves with Mammon, a horrific, abusive asshole.

While I expect this level of dismissal and honestly misogynistic writing from Helluva boss, I can't help but be extremely agitated by it and the reason why was made clear recently: the narrative acts as if the Glam sisters are doing this for out of selfish desire alone, as if they are terrorizing Fizz for no good reason. But that's simply not true, and even Vivzie's canon supports me here.

The Glam sisters are hellborn demons, only one rank higher than the imps. This means that while they may be treated better, they still are not treated as full citizens like sinners are, and in a dog eat dog world like Hell, kindness is not something they can afford.

Getting this position with Mammon is a life changing deal, something Fizz is proof of. Yes, it is as exploitative as it is lucrative for the individual, but this is Hell (as Vivzie likes to claim) and opportunities like this are something many would die and kill for.

So at the end of the day, I cannot help but be confused why the narrative punishes and looks down on Glitz and Glam for taking some crumb of control back from the system and accepting their objectification with open arms as long as they are rightly compensated for it. Why does even their (albeit catchy) song look down on them for doing whatever it takes to survive in Hell? After all, they would be exploited anyway, right? It's what Hell lives on.

In a class system like Vivzie claims to have, the glam sisters are a prime example of the kind of oppressed vs oppressed the system creates, but instead of trying to understand them or even see them as morally complex, they are simply the slutty female antagonists who are corrupting the sanctity of hell clowns simply because they don't clown for the sake of clowning. Whatever complexity they could have, even if it is beneficial to the entirety of the show, is worthless compared to their narrative propping for Vivzie's favored characters. But it doesn't surprise me. After all, what else is a women is Helluva Boss good for if not to support the main male cast.

Loona gives small spoon energy- I think she'd find being held very comforting and healing. I've mentioned before that she hasn't really had an opportunity in her life to feel safe, but being held by you absolutely makes up for that.

I think Loona would be pretty warm, considering her fur, so if you need to stay cool, keep a fan handy. and if it's winter? you're set. Because she's so warm, if y'all are cuddling, you likely won't need blankets. However, instead of using the blankets to cover you, you could make a small nest or a comfy area; perfect for cuddling.

If you need to get up at any point, you may hear some grumbling from Loona, but she always lets you get up. No way you're gonna get a UTI because she refused to let go when y'all are cuddling. She will however, protest to getting up if you have to go to work. Fuck work.

Sometimes Loona will playfully wrestle with you (and she probably wins most of the time). Her reward is obviously more cuddle time- or making you get up to get snacks and water. She loves watching movies and listening to music while you're laying down together, so you've gotta stay stocked on snacks (and substances). Loona would probably love drinking and relaxing with you on the couch after a long day of dealing with I.M.P's shenanigans.

As wary Loona is about affection and intimacy, she can't help the soft spot she has for you. Loona knows exactly how lucky she is to have you in her life; and she wants to do everything she can to make sure you're comfortable enough to stay.

So I was re-watching "Oops" grabbing some screenshots for a different rant when it occurred to me, damn, Striker really should not have been in this episode. I know it's not a hot-take, lots of ppl have said this already, but I mean even for the way the writers want the show to go, right down to tone, they really botched an opportunity. I'll let someone else talk about how Striker working with Crimson makes both antagonists so much less intimidating, right now I'm just gonna focus on the narrative so far, and unfortunately for a lot of critics of the main ship it's pushing, this will have a lot to do with Stolitz.

So when we first meet Striker, it's in "The Harvest Moon Festival". The episode starts with Stolas inviting Blitz and the gang to be his royal guests at said festival. Blitz makes him promise it's neither murder work nor a sex thing and Stolas agrees. This is (to the audience's knowledge) the first time Stolas has invited Blitz out to be seen together publicly without any strings attached. He's not being bought, he's not acting as a bodyguard, and he's not expected to bang anyone at the end of the day.

Blitz meets Striker, Striker boosts up Blitz's ego immediately, they enter the pain games together, split the win, have a general good time, and at some point off screen, Blitz offers Striker a job at I.M.P.

And then Blitz catches Striker trying to kill Stolas. He's pissed, but not as pissed as he gets when Striker almost causes him to shoot Moxxie.

Blitz bites the man and puts a hole through the wall during the fight. They really go at it, it's a pretty intense fight, and you can really feel the rage in Blitz during it.

Putting a pin in Stiker for a minute, let's skip to the next episode, "Truth Seekers" we get a peek into Blitz's headspace surrounding Stolas. He feels chained to Stolas, but through his expressions during the staircase climb, it feels like he wants it to be more than just transactional. Well, at the least, hopes it can be more. Stolas swoops in at the end of the episode and (not without belittling Blitz verbally) saves Blitz and the people he most cares about. And then Stolas asks for a "reward". This 100% highlights Blitz's torn feelings. Does he let himself believe the care is real, or is it just for sex at the end? Well...

He got his answer didn't he? Stolas doesn't stand up to Ozzie for him. He doesn't make a clear statement that Blitz is more than just a cheap lay. And that hurts.

At the end of the night Blitz can barely get the words out to set a boundary for himself.

The next time we see these two interact is in "Seeing Stars". Do we get to see the resolve of the night at Ozzie's? Nope. But something has clearly changed since then, bc not only does Blitz show genuine concern for Stolas and try to reassure him, at one point, briefly, he's even receptive to Stolas's flirting again.

Two episodes later, Striker is back. Blitz very much so has complicated feelings surrounding Stolas at this point, but he shows not just concern, but both fear and rage again at the thought of Striker harming Stolas.

One could definitely argue at this point that this is about his means to continue his business and source of income and that of his employees, but there is something to be said about him almost cancelling Loona's doctor appointment to go save the rotten owl. Loona is always Blitz's first priority, and though a single vaccine might seem small in comparison to a life, if it really took five years for an appointment, that could be his daughter's life as well, assuming "hellbies" is just rabies but it's in hell. He thought about it. He was ready to turn the car around when Millie and Moxxie stepped in.

And even though Striker got majorly character assassinated in the episode, he tore up Stolas really bad. Him and his angelic weapons do carry real stakes with them, however much they want to make him a joke character. (Again, such a waste of potential)

With the narrative we know the writers are going with, Blitz does care about Stolas. The realization he can get hurt is probably shocking and terrifying to Blitz. He'd probably both be angry with himself for not going, but getting to the original point, he'd probably be furious at Striker.

Now I know Helluva has a huge tone issue. Is it a comedy? A lot of the time, yeah. Is it a drama? There's definitely drama in it. Romance? Highly debatable. Horror? I mean, it does take place in literal hell, so. Action? It's mixed in there too.

Personally though, I would like to think that the next time Blitz saw Striker, he'd tear him to shreds. I'd think the tone would be on the more serious side. He's hurt Millie and Moxxie very badly in Harvest Moon, he's hurt Stolas to the point he was hospitalized, that's three of the four people Blitz is currently close with. Narratively speaking, Striker could easily be Blitz's main external antagonist. It works both from a more action based tone, but also if you want to push Stolitz, which we know they do. And yet...

He's just an irritation for Blitz.

He didn't need to be there, it could have just been Crimson and his sharks. Would it have felt weird having him be a stand alone villain again just 3 episodes after he was first introduced, sure. But not any weirder than Stella's personal hitman looking for work in Greed and just happening to find it with said Mafia boss.

I know this was a Blitz/Fizz episode, I get that, I'm not complaining about that, hell, it literally could have been just them figuring their shit out together. But that just makes it even more glaring that Striker shouldn't have been there. This wasn't about him, this wasn't for him.

He's cowboy themed, right? And he's given Blitz plenty of reason to beat the absolute shit out of him? After hurting Stolas like that, (narratively speaking) his next showdown with Blitz should have been some high noon duel shit. Blitz rocked the vest in Harvest Moon, just give him the duel revolvers and start counting steps.

You know, I have tons of ideas for stories between Fizz and Ozzie, but sadly I’m not a good writer. I´ve tried before to write fanfiction for other fandoms, but I always end up discarding what I’ve written (I can write in script format no problem, but prose has always been difficult for me). So I decided I’m gonna write down these ideas in here, in case I eventually make them comics, or for anyone who likes them and decides to make their own stuff based on these!

Ozzie has a fight with another Sin (probably Mammon) and comes home hurt, so Fizz takes care of his injuries. Ozzie could have win the fight, lose it, or the fight could have ended up in a tie.

A gang attacks a place where Fizz is currently in, and in the commotion, one of them manages to rip one of Fizz’s prosthetic bases (you know, the things that are attached to his torso and leg stumps that make it possible for the arms and legs to connect to his body) and Fizz gets severely hurt. Ozzie then appears to beat the shit out those guys and take Fizz to a hospital.

Fizz defends one of his younger fans from some asshole drunk adult (the adult could be berating the kid or trying to hurt them).

Fizz gets hit on by a very pushy guy, and Ozzie is NOT happy about the situation.

(This one is more of a what-if scenario after Fizz has already quit from Mammon’s contract) Fizz realizes that Mammon and Buckzo conspired to keep him and Blitz apart all those years ago. Fizz is devasted and Ozzie consoles him. (There could be a bonus scene where Fizz breaks the news to Blitz and they both have to comfort each other. Blitz could also bow to somehow get back at them.)

Ozzie and Fizz go to one of Beelzebub’s parties and they hang out with Bee and Vortex.

Ozzie is left furious after a meeting with someone and only Fizz can help him calm down.

Ozzie is about to get hurt by an angelic weapon but Fizz takes the hit for him. Fizz is severely injured but, after a lot of time, he manages to recover (there could be a bonus scene of Blitz visiting Fizz in the hospital).

Stolas feels extremely insecure about his relationship with Blitz, so Fizz appears to tell him that while, it is true that Blitz is an idiot in denial, he does care for Stolas, and not to give up on him just yet.

Ozzie decides that, to keep his grimoire safe, he’ll give it to Fizz. Fizz feels that he is not the ideal person to have such a big responsibility, but Ozzie reassures him that there is no one he trusts as much as him.

Ozzie gives Fizz an Asmodean crystal to use in case of emergency.

Fizz and Blitz get roped in to a fight while hanging out, and Fizz uses one of the spells in Ozzie´s grimoire to help Blitz fight (I’m not sure what kind of spells his grimoire could have, but maybe some fire attacks?).

Loona calls Fizz to help her with a particularly drunk Blitz after he spirals into one of his self-hatred bouts (I imagine than in this scenario, it’s kinda already established that Fizz is like Loona’s uncle).

what if alastor was in helluva boss instead Hazbin Hotel!? IMP with Stolas and rest of character hellborn or deadly sin would think of him!?

( I don’t know too much about Helluva Boss, but balloondrifloon does, so this post is heavily contributed to by her! She also edited it! :) She’s a blessing. )

IMP is located in the Pride ring, therefore Alastor and IMP could interact. Alastor would stumble upon them by accident during one of his morning strolls. He would witness their wall being destroyed by a crazy client and watch - with great amusement - as the company dealt with their problematic customer.

Blitzø would notice him and be annoyed saying something along the lines of, “Take a picture! It lasts longer, you fucking creepy-ass, smiling bitch.” This would only serve to amuse Alastor more.

Alastor would start including the IMP building as a normal part of his stroll, just to see their antics each morning. They never ceased to entertain him.

Eventually, the IMP crew would learn that he was just going to be a presence in their lives.

Alastor would probably find out about the grimoire pretty quickly. It wouldn’t take long before he’d weasel his way into the building and begin to talk to the company about it, trying to make them let their guard down so he could either take it or use it whenever he wanted. It would be difficult to gain actual access to the grimoire, as Loona - who Alastor can’t stand - is its caretaker, but IMP has terrible security and well, they aren’t going to miss it for one evening, are they?

His interest in going to the surface would rest solely on contacting living, human souls. With his charm and manipulation, he would aim to claim souls before they even made it to Hell. Making a deal with a demon from Hell guaranteed the soul would end up there, so it would be an easy win for Alastor. He could gain massive amounts of power, and a guaranteed flow of souls for the next few decades. The other overlords wouldn’t stand a chance against him.

Alastor’s interest in the crew would be purely business, no pleasure. He wouldn’t like any of them, really, but he would particularly despise Loona. She was a Hellhound. She was a dog. A Mutt. Alastor hates dogs with a passion. She would actually make him nervous when she would move out of his line of sight, but he’d never show that. He just wouldn’t let his back be turned to her.

Alastor would regularly make snide comments about Loona being a filthy mutt. His comments were almost always directed at her species.

Blitzø wouldn’t appreciate Alastor’s blatant disrespect for his daughter. He’d probably call him a racist, threaten him with his pistol, and be highly overprotective of his daughter when Alastor was around from then on out.

Alastor would take no interest in Millie or Moxxie. They were imps. Such lowly creatures. They were beneath him. Nothing interesting about them. No powers, no immortality. Just dull, Hellborn beings.

Moxxie, on the other hand, would be very fascinated with Alastor. Alastor could play music on his mind-radio and that would throw Moxxie for a loop. Being the thespian he was, Moxxie would find Alastor’s musical talents almost worth tolerating him for…. Almost.

Alastor and Millie would have a polite relationship, more like acquaintances. Due to Millie being a southern belle, Alastor would display an innate sense of civility toward her, drummed into him by his beloved mother. But that’s where Millie and Alastor’s relationship would end: It would be very superficial and Millie probably wouldn’t even notice if Alastor was there or not.

Despite Blitzø’s obvious distaste for how Alastor treated his daughter, he would still take an interest in the overlord. He’d want to know how Alastor died. He’d figure out he was shot and mauled, and then focus his curiosity on what gun was used to do the deed.

Blitzø, never being exactly great at marketing, would attempt to convince Alastor to become a customer. Most murdered sinners wanted their killers dead, after all. But this wasn’t thought through very well, because Alastor was an old being, dying nearly a century ago. He had no one left in the living world he wished to be killed.

The Ars Goetia wouldn’t care about Alastor in the slightest. Being royalty, they had no time for lowly sinners. Even the overlords gained none of their attention. They have better shit to do and their own issues to deal with.

Stolas might show a sliver of interest if Blitzø complained too much about him, though. But his interest would only really be peaked if he thought Alastor might harm Blitzø in some way. And if that were the case, he would wipe Alastor off the face of Hell, only a very few, extremely biased, questions asked.

The sins?

Satan would enjoy Alastor’s natural wrath. However, the man’s pride was a problem. Despite having such great brute strength, Alastor would let his ego control him at times, crushing his own strength in the process.

A good example being when Alastor attempted to take on Adam without any angelic weapons, only to be knocked for a loop so quickly. The man’s pride and grandiose expectations for himself, in thinking he could take on the head exorcist without the proper equipment to do, was pathetic.

Despite this, Satan would appreciate Alastor’s showmanship during combat, relishing in Alastor’s fluid, performance-style battle ability as the Radio Demon destroyed and devoured his victims.

Alastor would greatly respect Satan’s power, but he would never show this. Outwardly, he would treat the sin like anyone else: Beneath him. He is a narcissist, after all.

Alastor is an asexual, aromantic man: He’s sex repulsed and hates being touched. He is a rare breed in Hell. Asmodeus would be astounded, as there weren’t many sinners with absolutely no lust in their soul at all. Souls like Alastors were an enigma for someone like Asmodeus, as he couldn’t fathom the thought of never desiring sex or romantic connection. Though, he would accept that it just was the way some people were and respect Al for staying true to himself.

Alastor would avoid Asmodeus like the plague. Why in the seven rings of Hell would he ever need to be associated with the sin of Lust? There was no reason for it. An absolutely ridiculous notion.

Conflicted. That’s what Beelzebub would be.

Alastor is a true glutton. It’s one of his greatest sins. He had that going for him. But, he’s also a cannibal… Ew.

Beelzebub is dog-like. Alastor doesn’t like dogs. Therefore, he doesn’t like her.

Mammon doesn’t know who Alastor is. Does he make Mammon hellbucks? No. Moving on.

Alastor has no interest in clowns or tacky circus nonsense. He’d see Mammon, look him up and down, then turn around and walk away, leaving Mammon to scoff at his rudeness. Alastor doesn’t waste his time on imbeciles.

We all obviously know Alastor and Lucifer’s relationship is… strained. The only thing holding them back from clawing out each other’s throats is Charlie.

There is a mixture of respect and hatred on Alastor’s part, and simply hatred and jealousy on Lucifer’s.

Lucifer is so easy to rile up, Alastor takes full advantage of this, enjoying every second of this newfound competition. Lucifer enjoyed the bickering a lot less, finding it irritating to deal with.

Alastor’s life wouldn’t change much by knowing the IMP crew, except for having access to human souls on Earth. But he’d probably hide the power he gained from this until the right moment…
