Note: For this list, I decided not to add a symbol for shows that center queerness, because in a way all of these shows do that and at the same time almost none actually do. Queer characters and their love stories are featured in every show in this list, but most of them do not address any other queer aspects of their lives and only some address the fact that they are queer at all. This is not a critique of South Korean shows, but just an observation of their current media landscape and added as context, in case you are interested in watching.

lately i’ve been researching names that i can use for the members since i wanna try writing stories without using their real names. it’s actually hard to match names but i have an initial list of combinations. i’m just gonna drop it here for reference, in case i do use it.
brainstorming ideas: i was searching for first names which i think matches well with the members
choi seungcheol - charles auguste leon gael yoon jeonghan - julian louis hong jisoo - kylian joachim elie wen junhui - joffrey jerry kwon soonyoung - sacha cahill edward jeon wonwoo - hugo zeki eino william gabriel lee jihoon - ivan nero xu minghao - raphael louie louis kim mingyu - alexandre miguel maurice kyle lee seokmin - elouan cedric boo seungkwan - miran chwe hansol - andre lee chan - timothee
combination draft: i was testing out some combinations of the first names and see if it would fit them
choi seungcheol - charles auguste (aka gael) yoon jeonghan - julian louise (aka jules) hong jisoo - kylian joachim (aka elie) wen junhui - joffrey kwon soonyoung - sacha cahill (aka cali) jeon wonwoo - ezekiel (aka zeki) lee jihoon - ivan nero xu minghao - raphael (aka raffa) kim mingyu - alexandre miguel (aka migz) lee seokmin - elouan (aka lou) boo seungkwan - miran chwe hansol - andre lee chan - timothee (aka timmy)
final draft: i was searching for surnames that would go with the combination of first names i came up with; i resorted to using filipino old money family surnames but it wouldn’t matter with the stories
choi seungcheol - charles auguste zobel yoon jeonghan - julian louise yuchengco hong jisoo - joachim lopez wen junhui - joffrey chua kwon soonyoung - sacha cahill sy jeon wonwoo - ezekiel elizalde lee jihoon - ivan nero leviste xu minghao - raphael andrada kim mingyu - alexandre miguel crisologo lee seokmin - elouan teodoro boo seungkwan - miran paterno chwe handsol - andre uy lee chan - timothee tan
i think i’m not gonna use them immediately since it’ll take time for me to get used to it but i’m pretty proud of my work so i’ll leave it here for the meantime so i can come back to it.

━◈ WANTED CONNECTIONS ... four new ones have been added to the page!
there are tales of how dante masoe is searching for their childhood frenemy/rival, which is antagonistic in nature. the records show that they are about 25-29 years old and their photographs look like chelsea islan, jung hoyeon, deniz can aktas, michael evans behling, jane de leon, moon gayoung, madeleine madden, ozge yagiz, bright vachirawit, yamazaki kento, yuki kato, dylan wang, quintessa swindell, jessie mei li, khadijha red thunder, maris racal, mimi keene, cha eunwoo, cody christian, justin chien, samantha logan, fc ultimately utp. help us find them, but make sure that you speak to karin at @kencanas on tumblr beforehand. this is their story so far: this muse would have grown up in cynefin along with dante. they probably share quite a few mutual friends too or were in the same circles growing up, but that’s the main reason why they (barely) tolerate each other. otherwise, they get quite competitive with each other and have always been that way, never really able to see eye to eye. whenever they’re alone, dante sees no need to sugarcoat the fact that they’re not exactly friendly with each other. why the two of them consider each other rivals is up for future discussion, but i would like the thinly veiled antagonism to be mutual.
there are tales of how dante & savina masoe is searching for their parents’ protege, which is up to player in nature. the records show that they are about 28-34 years old and their photographs look like daniel ezra, damson idris, hande ercel, oh sehun, apo nattawin, avan jogia, greta onieogou, bai lu, jaz sinclair, seo kang joon, kwon nara, kylie verzosa, alia bhatt, reina hardesty, kofi siriboe, lin yanjun, dev patel, lee junho, yang yang, zeng keni, fc ultimately utp. help us find them, but make sure that you speak to karin or liza at @kencanas or @svnblinds on tumblr (or via discord if you’re already a member) beforehand. this is their story so far: neither dante nor savina is very interested in taking over their parents’ textile business, something that has always been obvious on dante’s end and her best-kept secret on savina’s end. while this muse’s personality and their dynamic with the masoe siblings are largely up to player/discussion, one given thing about them is that they’re a key employee at the masoes’ small textile empire in the valley. they would be someone the masoe parents trust with their job and see a lot of potential in. should it come out that neither masoe siblings are continuing the family business, the burden of running it may just fall on this muse’s shoulders.
there are tales of how lintang aulia is searching for their elixirs teacher, which is platonic/transactional in nature. the records show that they are about 28+ years old and their photographs look like simone ashley, clark backo, fukushi sota, julie estelle, seo yeji, keith powers, lucien laviscount, melisa asli pamuk, adonis bosso, mike angelo, devery jacobs, ni ni, courtney eaton, jung hoyeon, medalion rahimi, mena massoud, himesh patel, may calamawy, woo dohwan, fc ultimately utp. help us find them, but make sure that you speak to karin at @kencanas on tumblr beforehand. this is their story so far: despite their lack of affinity in khemia, lintang is also stupidly stubborn about feeling like they need to learn it. elixirs, especially, is something that they strongly think would be incredibly useful. now that they’re stuck in cynefin and working in verum, lintang would seek out someone who they think would be able to unofficially mentor them in the art. i imagine that the relationship is at least a touch positive, but how close they are is up for discussion, especially because this muse is largely utp. the only two things i require are that they were trained in elixirs and that they are either a verum staff/professor or cynefin resident. this connection can be taken in tandem with lintang’s regular contact or part-time employer, too.
there are tales of how lintang aulia is searching for their part-time employer, which is professional in nature. the records show that they are about 35+ years old and their photographs look like arifin putra, martin sensmeier, lim jiyeon, rege-jean page, kuroki meisa, aishwarya rai, keanu reeves, mahersala ali, elodie yung, dichen lachman, riz ahmed, gong yoo, qin lan, raymond ablack, deepika padukone, iko uwais, oliver jackson-cohen, gina torres, sanada hiroyuki, fc ultimately utp. help us find them, but make sure that you speak to karin at @kencanas on tumblr beforehand. this is their story so far: while lintang mostly works at verum as an infirmary staff, she has a tendency of spreading herself too thin to keep herself occupied. so it’s no surprise that she’s taken to part-timing with a local doctor/healer/apothecary in town. everything about this muse is utp other than the fact that they must be a medic of some kind, as mentioned above. i imagine that lintang is determined to gain their respect and/or approval, but how the current relationship is can be discussed further. they just would have to be open enough to willingly let an outsider trapped in cynefin to currently work with them. this connection can also be taken in tandem with lintang’s elixirs teacher connection.

Hi Cat thank you so much for offering fc help as someone who sucks at it. Would you be able to help me with a fc for a woman between 24-35. I'd prefer a woc but resources aren't necessary as I can make my own but would love to have suggestions of people with a lot to gif from. Not too sure how to describe their vibe outside of soft fairy aesthetic and "emotions hold power whether you think theyre useful or not" but also someone who will break rules to protect others and fight for things they believe in. Sorry if this is confusing I saw your ask about shadowhunter fc help and decided to ask (different anon) the person is white in canon but I'm ignoring it.

Our Youngest Sister
Kwon Soonyoung as Arden Sadajiwa. Cho Seungyoun as Alerio Sadajiwa. Hong Eunchae as Sachinyla Sadajiwa.
Special Appearance: Choi Seungcheol as Leon Baskara, Xu Minghao as Hero Handoko.
===
"Kata Tuan Puteri, 'Sachinyla Sadajiwa udah gede, Mas!
Arden cukup jauh, yakni 10 tahun. Tentunya situasi yang mereka hadapi berbeda.
"Aurora kalau mau sesuatu selalu bilang, sih.
"Violetta nggak pernah begitu tapi kadang bikin sport jantung," aku Hero.
Sambil menyimak jawaban teman sejawatnya, Arden meminum air mineral yang dibawa dari lokasi meeting tadi. Sejenak ia menghela napas sebelum menceritakan apa yang menjadi tuntutan baru si bontot di rumah.
"Intinya gue nggak perlu antar-jemput Achi lagi, jadi silakan atur aja jadwal yang sama gue senyaman kalian. Gue lihat dulu sih satu semester jalan atau nggak." Sebuah keputusan diambil Arden, meski belum dibicarakan dulu dengan Alerio kembarannya.
"Good luck, bro. Little sisters are sent for us to be a better man.
Tanpa suara, Leon bertanya, "Kenapa?"
Arden melirik Leon sebentar sampai akhirnya panggilan terputus. "Achi pingsan, gue harus ke sekolahnya sekarang. Sorry," kata Arden sebelum akhirnya melesat.
---
Serangan panik.
"Kamu ke-trigger apa tadi? Kamu dibentak-bentak?" Tangan Arden mendarat di kepala Sachinyla.
Sachinyla mengerutkan bibir sekilas lalu menghela napas.
Pagi harinya mereka, minus Ale, masih makan bersama. Alih-alih mendengar kabar mereka selamat sampai tujuan, keluarga menanti datangnya jasad Ismail Sadajiwa dan Larasita Ahmad tiba usai diurus rumah sakit.
Achi, hanya menempel padanya ataupun Ale selama prosesi pemakaman diliput media-media besar Tanah Air.
Mengetahui cerita pingsannya Sachinyla hari ini, Arden lantas sadar apabila adiknya punya trauma yang tak terkatakan. Meski tampak baik-baik saja selama keluarga mereka mengalami masa paling berat, rupanya bertahun-tahun berikutnya Achi menunggu waktu untuk meledak.
“Mau periksa? Mas temenin." Arden mulai menggendong ransel Sachinyla di salah satu bahunya.
Pertanyaan Arden dengan cepat disambut gelengan kepala. “Nggak, mending kita pulang aja yuk? Mau bobok. Capek," tegas Sachinyla.
"Oke, kita pulang. Tapi janji kalau panik lagi harus bilang sama Mas."
Atas ultimatum Aden, Sachinyla terdiam sesaat lalu menganggukkan kepala dan meraih uluran tangan kakaknya. Achi diizinkan pulang, Arden ingin adiknya segera beristirahat.
"Mas Den, cari pacar kek," celetuk Sachinyla tiba-tiba.
"Yakin? Nggak bakal ngambek perhatian ke kamu kurang?" Arden membalas ucapan adiknya separo menggoda.
"Caper sama Ezra aja, pasti ditanggepin."
"Beda, ih!
---
“Jadi Sachi mungkin punya gangguan panik?” tanya Alerio, berusaha memproses informasi dari Arden barusan.
Arden mengangguk, jarinya bergerak memetik gitar di pangkuan. “Kenapa gue sampai nggak tau dia kenapa ya?” ia menerawang.
Jangan ditanya seberapa sering Raisa meminta izin mengajak Sachinyla keluar.
Arden kembali menautkan alis sambil menatap kembarannya. “Bukannya lo nggak suka Ezra?” tanya Arden, skeptis.
“Bukan nggak suka.
Komentar Ale hanya disambut tawa kecil Arden. “Nggak. RIbetin kalian hiburan gue,” jawab Arden.
