Neil, on the bus back to Palmetto after the Ravens game: So you know how I promised not to lie to you guys anymore? Uh... Last night I was taken in front of Ichirou and watched him blow Riko's brains out. Also Tetsuji is stepping down as coach. That's really going to affect their next season. We'll have to train to beat the Trojans in the final next year
Everyone else: .... Neil

I love this gay ass show with its literally life ending injuries that heal immediately, but only when convenient to the plot, and its ridiculous use of modern phrases, and its laughing in the face of historical accuracy, and its kissing the face of the fans instead of trying to outwit them, and the way everyone involved in the show seem to go 'I KNOW RIGHT! I'M EXCITED TOO!' instead of mocking the fans

as shifty as they were when they were younger, at the actual age that andreil are at do you think they've got the potential to be friendly strangers? like not overly friendly but the kind of people who understand what being human is
think about it, the experience of living a sheltered life and neil is standing behind someone in the grocery line, watching them unable to scour up money for ramen and water so he pays for it to help things along
andrew watching a little kid peer into his mega expensive car of the year and the kid gets scared of him and moves aside but andrew opens the door moves back, tells the kid he can have a look its fine
do you think they would interfere by force if they ever saw something bad happening in front of them? neil on his runs stopping to help someone cross the road, feeding stray cats in alleyways, yk the people who know what struggle is and don't want it for anyone else?
idk if they're the type to shrug off injustice so easily, i feel like whatever they learnt as children is buried deep inside the caution and fear of strangers and all but maybe what wymack taught them would rise to the surface too cuz if wymack hadn't chosen to help them they wouldn't be alive either

Neil Josten is 100% the kind of guy who can look at the sun and figure out exactly what time it is and his general location.

it's a pet peeve of mine when ppl frame Andrew as hating Aaron and being needlessly cruel to him... bc while yes, their relationship is fractured and strained, Andrew genuinely cares about his brother and wants the best for him, he just doesn't know how to show that in a normal way.
like he might not know how to express it in a healthy manner but Andrew LOVES Aaron, like he truly just wants Aaron to be healthy and safe. It's like, his whole Thing. Aaron is one of the most important people in his life. Andrew wants him around. He'd do anything to protect him.
I guarantee Andrew wants to be emotionally close to Aaron too, he just doesn't have the tools to do that and the thought of letting someone in terrifies him. He also has no concept of what a healthy sibling relationship looks like, so he has no frame of reference to work from.

So when Neil Josten wants to keep a binder full of news clippings and pictures as a shrine to Kevin Day in a way to hold on to a good but tainted memory of his childhood and a life he can never have, no one complains. But when I, Riko Moriyama-

Neil just reeks of the same energy as those fanfiction authors who casually leave the most batshit insane personal updates in the writer's notes

Dude some of those popular so-bad-its-good movies are unironically outsider art and I don’t think they get enough appreciation for that

↖️ Andrew needs some way to make the spurned and eavesdropping nearby noble even more angry, and if he can do it by being sweet with his guard/consort? What a shame 👀
So Abram returns the favor in a slightly different manner ↘️

Why am I seeing people suddenly saying Good Omens s2 was actually badly written? It was a fun little journey into the lives of Crowley and Aziraphale with lower stakes than s1, it was a lot of fun and that’s what it was supposed to be, fun. Does the fact that the plot is simple and a little goofy means it’s badly written now? Why? Not every show has to be mind blowing high brow super deep and meaningful, sometimes they can just be silly.
Hell, What We Do In The Shadows is 5 seasons of dumb vampires doing stupid stuff with no plot whatsoever and it’s one of my all time favourite shows, sometimes we can have just that and it’s ok!

Wymack, Bee, Nicky and Kevin are so underrated in regards to how fundamentally they helped Andrew. Without them Andrew would never have anyone to even take a chance at him. Without Wymack, he wouldn’t have college and exy, without nicky he wouldn’t even have a “home”, without Bee, Andrew’s mental state would have been way way worse, and without Kevin, Andrew wouldn’t have a purpose.
Neil may be the catalyst and Andrew’s main reason to actually live. But these four people (and Aaron) are Andrew’s cornerstones, his foundation, are what’s holding him up before Neil josten even existed.

Neil pining for Andrew and not even realizing it is so funny, but what’s even funnier is that at some point before Andrew tells him, he does notice. And just chooses to ignore it - he literally compares his and Andrew’s relationship to a romantic one and then goes ‘I’m just gonna file this away for later.’
