small details i noticed from the bug scene under the cut. aka more insight to Ted's personality. spoilers ig.

the Bug when it goes into walking mode the screens read out "Beast Mode"

the Buttons/switches in The Bug are mislabeled but in the way they are code for silly things.

the switch labeled "BLAST" turns on the music (Kickstart my Heart- which if you know Ted from comics you'd know he has a heart condition).

the switch labeled "STEALTH" activates that "bug fart" which also on the screen reads "cloaking systems Houdini" which i find the escape artist reference cute considering one is one of Ted's friends.

other fun things: The Bug's way of walking and legs are designed to mimic actual scarab beetles which i found so cute, and there's even the fact that she flies out of the water included! loved that.

Also the fact the bug seemingly has some future/advanced tech incorporated and mixed up within it's very retro analog designs and screens. found that interesting. It really gave the feel that this is the og bug he had had since day one and instead of completely redesigning her he kept adding on as time went on.

Overall, this volume was really dense! A lot happened and a lot of information was given on various fronts: dark magic, the organization, Monkey Girl's past life, worldbuilding, Uncle Stuart...

Lots of intriguing parts:

Who manipulated Katarina's body when she lost control of her body? Could it have been the OG!Katarina part in her?

Why could Maria feel the use of dark magic without seeing dark magic? Can Marquis Dieke(?) use dark magic in a special way?

Why would Marquis Dieke(?) be in the organization? If he pulled the strings in Raphael's incident, does it mean he manipulated Raphael?

If the man really is Marquis Dieke, shouldn't Raphael have a role in Fortune Lover 2? Raphael can't be the second hidden capture target?

What's with Marquis Dieke(?)'s resemblance with Laura? Still, they can't be the same person since the man has wind magic while Laura is said to have fire magic.

Why didn't Sarah say a single line in this story? Why was her face hidden when Katarina saw her unconscious on the floor?

Why did Sarah go on her mission with thugs this time?

Why did Uncle Stuart dust off the leaves on Katarina's head even though he appears to hate her?

Is the fact that Nathan is missing on the day we see Uncle Stuart supposed to lead us to think they are the same person?

Dark magic was already around before normal magic was developed in Sorcier? Could dark magic be some kind of fundamental magic?

How will Sorcier's old tales impact the story? We have already seen the place to power up magic in LN7, now there is a mention of the founders of Sorcier again. How about the tales of the rampaging beast?

Is it a coincidence that Katarina lost control after getting back the pocket mirror object?

So Maria is not immune to dark magic after all?

could the black thing in Geordo's heart be dark magic? Could he be manipulated by dark magic? Could he have dark magic inside him?

The volume was heavily focused on Cezar's romance. I was surprised Cezar was given so many sweet moments as if to set him up as Geordo's rival. The moments are nice but I am kind of neutral regarding Cezar. He has so many sides to his personality that it feels inconsistent at times: the sulking little brother, the workaholic concerned for his country, the adventurous and easygoing mercenary, and the two-faced prince. I didn't like it when he willingly deceived Maria and decided he would work on making Sorcier indebted to him so that he could marry Katarina. It felt like he wasn't a kind person concerned for his country after all. He also had no afterthoughts about Liam even so he almost made him cry with happiness. But Cezar is kinda fun in mercenary mode. I loved his moments with Katarina in chapter 4.

Also, I love Jean. Each time Jean appeared, I loved it. How he smoothly played wingman is fun to see.

But since this volume was focused on Cezar, the romance didn't develop at all for the others. Keith barely had any lines, and Nicol and Alan didn't get even one line, which is a shame.

I loved Maria's scene when she confronted Cezar. Seeing Maria with so much fighting spirit was a sight. I was surprised she was willing to confront a prince because I thought she didn't compete with the others because of their high-ranking status. She confronted Cezar, used the fiancée card against him, and smoothly prevented him from going home with Katarina. It feels like she has learned from looking at Geordo and Keith bickering, and looking at Mary scheming against Geordo.

I definitely love how Raphael had so many scenes in this volume. I like how it might imply he will have a big role later on, regardless of his possible connection with Sarah.

I also loved Laura's scenes in the volume. Whether Laura bonds with Katarina or with Raphael. Supposing Laura is Marquis Dieke, I wonder how he would consider Raphael.

It seems like Cezar is still in Sorcier by the end of the volume. Katarina has finished his route, so maybe he will lose his "capture target" status and ask for his member card in the harem? There were also so many stories about Monkey Girl's older brother that it feels like he might be revealed in the next volume. Also, with Marquis Dieke(?) mentioning how Katarina could work on their side, I wonder if it will happen in the future.

Dramatical Murder Battling NU Carnival

As a fan of both Dmmd & Nucarnival, yknow, I just had to.

If the 2 harems were to actually go into hand to hand combat.... Dmmd has only half as many people, Nukani has Kuya & Blade. And Eiden cannot fight period, so it'd be unfair. what i think might be more fair is paired off fights.

Clear vs Blade: Duh i had to do this. OG android vs new generation android. White-haired battle singing autism robot that calls their love interest a nickname vs white-haired battle singing autism robot that calls their love interest a nickname. 2012 sex robot learning human feelings vs 2022 sex robot learning human feelings. Cute service top with a depressing backstory vs cute service top with a depressing backstory. I think Blade would win by a landslide. Assassin Blade's biggest advantage is his durability combined with combat skills. In story (NOT game units) he can deal a shit ton of damage, take a shit ton of hits and instaheals super quickly. Meanwhile Clear also has great combat skills, but slower self healing and he is defective with a history of being damaged. So technically an unfair fight.

Koujaku vs Edmond: Both normal human swordfighters, ofc I also had to do this. I feel like their skills are matched for what they can, however Koujaku is a gang leader and is willing to get rough and Edmond... is a prim and proper(lol) knight for the most part. And if Koujaku went into Beast!jaku mode... well yeah Edmond's definitely lost.

Mink vs Quincy: the 2 big quiet traumatized depressed daddies whose communities died/were killed. I wanna say this would end up being a draw because Mink is a normal human that can be injured or killed, meanwhile Quincy is kind of immortal but has low motivation to fight unless he gets involved. if he had to, I'd imagine Quincy is supernaturally stronger though.

Rhyme Ren vs Garu/Karu: ok I'm just pitting them against each other cause they're the Dogs. However, although Garu/Karu is a survivalist, their stamina SUCKS & their fighting seems just passable. I love garu&karu, but Ren could 1HKO them. (Ren is also bigger, stronger, and more experienced than them so this is also an unfair fight.)

Noiz vs Dante: Originally I was gonna pair Noiz with Rei since they're both slightly apathetic special interest knowledge people, but Rei isn't really a melee hand to hand combat fighter. Dante can fight, and he has an advantage being bigger, more muscular, & having magic powers. (Interestingly, they're also both the youngest in their respective casts haha.)

Aoba vs Eiden...? The protagonists. However, this is also unfair fight cause um Eiden can't fight for shit and was recently a desk job worker lol. Whereas Aoba was a helluva punk, can still fight on his own, and has supernatural powers.

Ok now for fights that might be on even skill fighting levels and not just pairs.

Blade vs Scratch gang + the Alphas: Considering that Blade has been able to level entire battle fields and kill multiple sorcerers, I think this might give him a tough fight, even if he wins in the end. I will say, this also might depend on what weapons Scratch are carrying and how bulletproof Blade is. The "essence conductors"/guns got taken away before we can see how Blade reacts to them, but if Scratch had their guns, they might be able to take out Blade. (We don't usually see Dry Juice or Benishigure use guns, so I mention Scratch).

Kuya vs Aoba, Sei, Clear, & the Alphas: Technically, Kuya is also far too powerful, however I don't think Kuya is ever seen doing weapon or hand to hand combat fighting. So if Aoba & Sei can subdue his magic.... then Clear & the Alphas could pummel his old man body xD

Rhyme Ren vs Olivine: Nice smart guys with super powers and also very buff. I think people forgot that Olivine is Strongk as heck. Not sure who would win, but Ren is more offensive focused (although Ren has a pretty good hp/shield in Rhyme) whereas every time Olivine fights he's more defensive/support focused (but still seems to pack a punch). Let me know if you have thoughts.

Aoba vs Garu/Karu: Ok not just because they're both feisty ukes who are the shortest in the cast with fantasy DID, but they are also speedsters, rely on kicks a lot, frequently faint a lot, and have low stamina. So i feel like this fight is more evenly matched than against Eiden or Ren. It'll also be interesting cause both Reason!Aoba & Desire!Aoba would be willing to fight rough, whereas Garu is not & only Karu would be willing to fight rough. However Desire!Aoba would be willing to use Scrap on Garu/Karu whereas Reason!Aoba would not. Also, Aoba is 7cm taller than Garu/Karu, but Garu/Karu are significantly more muscular than Aoba everywhere. I feel like whoever runs out of stamina first will be the loser.

Clear vs Edmond or Dante: xD I just wanted Clear to be able to beat someone. And he was able to beat many cops & guards before and Edmond is basically a cop.

Eiden vs Ren in Sei's body: I also wanted Eiden to be able to win against someone haha. And Ren in Sei's body doesn't have Sei's powers, so they can probably do some comedic whacks at each other haha.

I know I've left out Yakumo, Rei, Aster, and Morvay. But i couldn't come up with anything for them, esp since they're more magical than melee combat (and not the same level as Kuya). Anyone have suggestions?

screaming look who i found yesterday !!!!!!!!!! the og 1999 Transmetal 2 Megatron !!!!!! probably my luckiest in the wild Transformers/Beast Wars find since my on-card original/first wave release Dinobot !!!!!!! he is in great shape for being loose/oob, has 2 of the 3 missile accessories (honestly amazed that any of them were even still with him), and was actually affordable--I think I paid more for the on-card Dinobot like 10 years ago or whenever I found him?

but man this toy is so complex seeing it irl, i'm amazed by how big he actually is (def the largest transformer i own now) and the detail in the sculpt and the multiple gimmicks that are really fun to play with (moving neck, wing flaps). both the missile launch thingies don't work very well but that could be from age. i tried to transform him but the instruction sheet i found online was too confusing so i reversed course and returned him to dragon form ahaha. also pleasantly surprised by how well his paint job has held up, my other og Transmetal/Transmetal 2s have noticeable paint loss with the metallic paint, some where it actively flakes off just from me touching them. i have not noticed any significant damage anywhere on him as well and all of his joints still feel very sturdy and strong. like holy shit what a find this fella is absolutely gorgeous and was well cared-for!!! i'll give his transformation another go at some point tho i will prob look for a video demonstration to follow, haha. also want to try fixing the manufacturing error mentioned on his tfwiki article, the neck control lever on his dragon back is installed upside down and looks like an easy fix. and i gotta better organize my shelves, i kinda just cleared a space to put him somewhere safe for now, but i did get him next to my United Beast Megatron who I've also been keeping in beast mode so they can both rawr together hehe

but yea i am so fucking hype to have found this guy especially since I limited my Transformers collecting to primarily only Beast Wars & Animated 2007 and being very choosy of which characters/toys I actually want and how much I'll spend on them. New Boruto's chapter, opinions and incongruences

Alright, it's been a while since I wrote on my blog guys so let's take a look at the news regarding the recent chapter of Boruto and everything that is currently happening within the fandom. So, what bothered me the most is the way in which they are totally nerfing characters with great potential just to give more space to the protagonist in this case (I'll post some images of the clash between Boruto and Kawaki to make you understand). Kawaki is one of my favorite characters and probably one of the best written at least until the time skip; because to make Boruto more powerful and more attractive (oh yes, it wasn't just Eida enough, Delta will also have a crush on him, everyone must love Boruto, are you kidding??) you have to somehow eclipse the other characters? Are you out of ideas or what? but oh well, we see that as soon as Kawaki gets angry and activates Karma, which consequently resonates with the other, Boruto has difficulty because he can't control his power and runs away (wait, let me understand. You know it's the your strength, you know that the enemy uses that kind of power in battle, you have trained hard over the years and you still don't know how to handle it. Exactly what kind of training have you done? I might be strange at this point, I don't know what to tell you. Then why do these two only think about clashing if they could temporarily team up against their common enemy (i.e. these Tree Jenga people who are invading the village)

Let's move on, let's get to the crucial point of the chapter i.e. the discovery that Jenga's target is no longer Naruto but rather his daughter Hima as she perceives the power of the nine-tailed fox's chakra, Shikadai asks why Hima and Jenga replies that he doesn't even know what it has to do with it the daughter with the fox spirit and that the world is strange... after which the chapter ends with Hima coming face to face with a mini Kurama? it is not clear who this individual is, whether a reincarnation of Kurama or a new spirit of the nine-tailed fox, we hope to have more detailed explanations in the next chapter.

Now, what I and not only I wonder is: how does Hima have the fox chakra? For fans it makes sense since she is NH's daughter and since she was conceived with Naruto's sperm some of his chakra flowed into her.. WTF??? I would like to remind you that in Naruto OG Naruto himself was born without any type of fox chakra inside himself but it was sealed from him by Minato (and we are talking about a son born to a jinchūriki mother so he could very well have inherited part of it as it was with the mustache) so, whatever is said there is no way to approve this theory. Hima cannot have inherited the fox chakra because she is the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. Let's move on to the second hypothesis, that is, a possible reincarnation of the bijiu (we know that the bijiu, being pure clusters of chakra, once they or their jinchuriki dies, tend to dissipate and then reform over time and re-establish the balance of the tailed beasts and up to here ok) but as we well know, already with the Byron mode Kurama himself told Naruto that all his chakra would be consumed and burned so here too there is no way that it could have reformed over time or at least not the same type of chakras. Seriously guys, people read and interpret things the way they want without worrying about logic and common sense... I understand that you like the idea of ​​Hima with the fox chakra (yes, I admit, the idea is not bad ) but also try to make sense of things if you are a true fan because here I only see a lot of contradictions just to make Naruto's daughter more powerful out of nowhere and obviously give more prominence to the work. An au idea i made purely for indulgment and shiping

a good part of this is inspired in other aus i've seen around, which, i hope the og creators have no issue with- this is my own version of a shadow milk who managed to stop himself from being fully corrupted + a version of my oc where she didnt take the decision to fully change herself to escape her past

im too lazy to draw designs right now so i'll do this another time

the name of the au would be something like ''right cookie, right time'' (FIGHT ME)

something something, shadow milk is able to stop himself from corruption in time from realising it was related to his soul jam, the witches still take it from him but he is tasked with looking over and making sure the next holder doesnt follows the path of the beasts

a little before corruption he was able to get inside the city of wizards and got as many scrolls and books as he could since he is a big book worm, (im part of the team that thinks shadow milk was the founder of the blueberry yougurt academy and that blueberry yougurt/milk cookie was his old name), something something he finds berry's papers and fionds his way into getting her out himself out of curiosity

imagine his face at seeing such a pretty kind yet scared girl infront of him after being free after so long

fell in love in sight, berry took a bit, but fell for him too not too long after

berry would keep her name, no reason in changing it, so she would still be called cosmos here!

both then became very important holders of history and protectors of knowladge, cosmos still having an interest in the dream realm and taking part in it

shadow milk still has little scares of what he almost becomes, but does his best to not let it get to him

. . . also they once found a baby that they adopted

the baby was pure vanilla :] cosmos went full momma mode, and so did shadow milk but also he just knew he was the right one for the soul jam of truth if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!
