i feel like i’m being ridiculous because literally i am so close to home why am i not comfortable here i’m literally anxious to leave my apartment. why do i feel like i’d be more comfortable on a completely different continent with my subpar german and zero family close by 😭

#to be fair. i’ve only been to this town like. once before and it was to a restaurant when i was 14 😭#but where i wanted to go to school i’ve been to that city twice and the first time was for a month and i got to explore!#so like. logically speaking i would be more comfortable there because i have more familiarity with it despite it being a very foreign #environment for me.#and i do know people in germany i know my old host family who are super nice and i have friends both in and close by out of the city #but they’d all be a bus ride/train ride away. here i don’t have a car and there’s zero public transportation #<- okay a lie i can get into philly fairly easily. and i have an aunt and uncle there who are the sweetest! but they’re often traveling for #work. so. yknow. but lol if i can get into philly i can switch trains a few times and end up fairly close to my home town #an out of the way route for sure but like. i can get in the vicinity of home well enough #<- this is just me trying to calm down. it’s fine 😭
