Marlowe (2022)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Marlowe has a few very brief moments where machine guns are fired in bright daylight. The muzzle flashes create strobes, but they only last a few seconds at a time.
Most of this film is dialogue-driven, and the scenes of dialogue use stationary or very smooth cameras. The action-driven scenes use a mild to moderate shaky camera.
Flashing Lights: 5/10. Motion Sickness: 4/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: There is some gore in this film. One scene has Nazi imagery on the set of a movie. A few racial slurs for Hispanic people are used.

Exclusive Interview with Ashley Rickards about 'A Haunted House 2'
I got to attend the press day for “A Haunted House 2” back in 2014. This satirical horror comedy sequel was released one year after the original, and it catches up with Malcolm Johnson (Marlon Wayans) as he moves into a new home with his girlfriend Megan (Jamie Pressly) and her two children, Becky (Ashley Rickards) and Wyatt (Steele Stebbins). As you can imagine, Malcolm and company are soon met…

Kandahar Review- Another Fine Actioner From the Team of Butler and Waugh
Gerard Butler has more or less started to become a version of Liam Neeson lately. He has starred in films that allow him to be the man. Rather the savior role. He did this pretty well in the Fallen Series of film White House, London and Angles. This has become his lane in Hollywood as evident by Greenland last year, Plane earlier this year and his latest movie Kandahar. Where once again he plays…

yk i was working on a post where i tried to guess the next relations event after the kurumi and miiko relations but ig i was gonna be wrong either way bc there wasnt going to be any relations after that lmfao 🥲
#crow talks#d4dj#d4dj groovy mix#lol.....#i'll just say my guess in the tags....#since this is going by unit and we already got a peaky rondo hapiara photon and lyrilily ones the next one wouldve been M4 (RIP M4 fans...)#it seems to me they were saving the really important relationships for the other units or guys we already saw get close so it wouldve been-#(probably) dalia and rika relations or a marika and saori one#bc we know how dalia and rika met (road to d4fes) and their relationship (kinda of) so we might've learned about their older brothers.#something about rika's older brother and how his illness affected younger rika and dalia's brother with how badly he wants to be a chef--#but is struggling bc he has something missing he cant see but his father can.#or maybe we can finally learn more abt rika's savior complex and dalia's self-consciousness about her eyes. maybe those can connect.#marika saori relations..... hmmm. a bit hard but my guess is:#since some of the relations events (of course) build off info from the last one marika might be trying to audition for a role in a film bc-#she told towa abt it and how she wants to be more confident and cool like..... rika.#she kind of opens up to saori about how unconfident she is with acting and saori helps her out by acting with her. kind of gay thing ensues#what im saying is something similar to the aoi and haruna relations but it's another play/movie and both of them gain confidence#that or it would've been marika rika relations and a saori dalia relations hm.#idk is this an interesting relations premise? you tell me.

Marshall (2017)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Marshall has a few brief moments of cameras flashing from all directions, causing mild to moderate strobe effects each time, lasting just a few seconds each time.
All of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.
Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 1/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: A detailed story is told about a rape, and some domestic abuse is shown. Racial and anti-Semitic slurs are used occasionally.

the postman always rings twice (1946) is an elegantly conceived classic film noir. one element of the film that fascinates me is its main character, a drifter who finds himself entangled in murder after encountering the film’s femme fatale. however, unlike in double indemnity (1944) or detour (1945), both films with similar premises, this femme fatale is not a hard-edged seductress who tempts him into murder. the story is not that of a man’s moral decline as prompted by confusion and lust, but rather of the moral decline of all three of its main figures as a result of their own characters. i would argue, in fact, that each of the three main characters represents or embodies one of the major literary positions on what it means to be american. frank chambers embodies the claim that to be american is to be constantly drawn to the road, in a state of constant seduction by adventure and the unknown. cora smith embodies the claim that to be american is to desire self-betterment, to want to own and grow a business and to make something of oneself. and nick smith embodies the claim that to be american is to have deep roots, and to be devoted to one’s family, to save at every point possible in order to retire to the family home and be waited on by one’s wife for the rest of one’s life. the downfall of these three characters is that they all put their american dream above their relationships with others; they are willing to destroy or even end the lives of those they love for the sake of their dream. in the end, the law can do nothing to them, and those who survive finally choose to turn to building a loving family, the thing the three’s american dreams previously prevented them from doing. however, the film ends with fate carrying out what the law could not: even in the vast unformedness of the american west, the film seems to argue, there is still divine justice. the postman always rings twice (1946) is a well-acted and philosophically fascinating film noir, and certainly deserves its reputation as one of the key films of the genre
