I’m sorry but it has to be said. Paul Hollywood (derogatory) in recent years has DILUTED the significance of the hand shake. The Hollywood handshake last year was given out WAY too many times and no one is talking about it. The market is flooded with handshakes, value is at an all time low, handshakes have no meaning anymore.

I need a fic of Tim running away with pru, zed, and Owens after letting the JL know how to find Bruce. Like, when Bruce gets back, he wonders where Tim is so he asks, then the batkids have to figure out who has to break the news to Bruce that Tim has been missing for over a year, and that the only contact with with that they had was when he gave all of his evidence to the JL. (Cass definitely knows where Tim is but doesn't want to spoil her brother's happiness.)

Pan over to Tim, who's living his best life traveling across the world, running from the league and his family. I really love those foi being in a poly couple, so maybe that's another thing, but idk.

I just love the idea of Tim being able to be his morally grey self with friends who support him no matter what. It's what he deserves.

The thing that Pacific Rim: Uprising just doesn't understand about Newt Geiszler, is that Newt is exactly the sort of guy who'd listen to whatever the Precursors are offering for five minutes or even just thirty seconds, then shake his head and say, "that's stupid; I'm out" and just walk away.

Yes, I know that the Precursors have ~weird mind control powers~ in PRU, but that's also part of the issue - the story is following the belief/narrative that people who fall into shitty politics or whatever are somehow being ~controlled~ and their ~true selves~ would never go along with it, as opposed to having specific vulnerabilities that make them susceptible to believing and going along with it willingly.

And the thing is, Newt doesn't have the right kind of vulnerabilities here.

The kind of guy PRU wants/needs is over at Silicon Valley.

I wonder how many people know about Pru. Does Tim tell people her? I think he keeps Pru in his back pocket. He needs to investigate something out of Gotham which requires more than one person but doesn't want to talk with any of his siblings? He calls Pru. He needs back-up in a situation that he promised the Bats he wouldn't get involved in? He contacts Pru. He does something mildly embarrassing and/or morally compromising and doesn't want to give his siblings anymore blackmail on him? He calls Pru. I just like the idea of Tim and Pru keeping in contact after he returns to Gotham.
