I’ve been trying to finish this one for a month. A gift for a very talented, persistent and awe-inspiring @sweetestpopcorn, hope you liked it 😉
Here we have left-to-right Rhaena, Visenya and Baela, the canon we deserved)

Rhaena Targaryen Hairstyles in:
The World Is So Much Wilder Than You Think

What do you think would happen if Baela and Rhaena were boys? They couldn’t be betrothed to Jace and Luke, so trying to handle the Velaryon succession would be less easy. Do you think it’s at all possible that Rhaenyra may have let Baela be lord of Driftmark ahead of Luke, on no gender inheritance of Laena being Laenor’s older sister?
I think the story would change very significantly, with a number of different potential divergent points that could have substantially altered the plot. Would Daemon and Laena even tried to have more children, with the arrival of two presumably healthy sons, and thus would Laena have still died in childbirth in 120 AC (and would Daemon consequently have tried to marry Rhaenyra thereafter)? How would these male-line Targaryen princes, sons of the man who had once presented himself as the king’s heir presumptive, have fit into the green-versus-black rivalries at court in the waning years of Viserys I’s reign? To whom would Rhaenyra have betrothed her Velaryon sons, if anyone, when IOTL she seemed set on using their betrothals to make a statement to her father and the green faction? Even supposing boy!Rhaena and boy!Baela had the same dragons at the start of the Dance that their counterparts IOTL did (that is, Rhaena with an egg, Baela with a dragon she had not yet ridden), would they have been dispatched as squires out in the field at any point during the Dance? Where indeed would they have been during the Dance, and how would those positions have affected the taking of Dragonstone (if that still happened)? How would they have been seen in the aftermath of the Dance (assuming they lived so long), and would they have been thought of as potential alternate successors (as I was once asked about their short-lived brother Baelon)? These are just some of the questions that might have arisen in this scenario.

What do you think of rhaena and aemond together? Like dragonless mamma boy and girl as kids and then when they grow up despite everything that happened hes the one who understands the isolation and feeling like an outsider in the family. Also potential for aemond to be like Luc took my eye so I'm gonna take his bride.
[come talk to me]
It was a ship that I never considered at first but in an au where they were raised around each other as children I could see them being the perfect friends to lovers which would piss off Alicent and Daemon both.
They both approach being dragonless in different ways and I think that could really help the both of them. I think being around Aemond would give Rhaena some fire when she’s younger and being around Rhaena might ease some of the anger Aemond has.
Plus, we know Aemond is studious but I headcanon that Rhaena is as well. I think they’d have a nice understanding of each other and would be really soft for each other.

◼♦️🔥Rhaena Targaryen 🔥♦️◼
Rhaena Targaryen is the daughter of Daemon Targaryen and Laena Velaryon, twin sister of Baela Targaryen.
~~~
Slightly book accurate and background represent Team Black due conflict of succession. There will be other characters I need to add up.
“The dead girl had been named Visenya, Princess Rhaenyra announced the next day, when milk of the poppy had blunted the edge of her pain. ‘She was my only daughter, and they killed her. They stole my crown and murdered my daughter, and they shall answer for it.’”
There were more dragons than ever before as well, and several of the she-dragons were regularly producing clutches of eggs. Not all of these eggs hatched, but many did, and it became customary for the fathers and mothers of newborn princelings to place a dragon’s egg in their cradles, following a tradition that Princess Rhaena had begun many years before; the children so blessed invariably bonded with the hatchlings to become dragonriders. --Fire and Blood
Do you ever think about how lonely Rhaena and Morning’s last flights must have been... them growing old together and Rhaena realizing the Targaryen dynasty’s legacy was gonna die with her and her dragon ?
I just know that Rhaena took up Baela whenever they were together, as well as Daenaera (who was so delighted at the sight of Morning & wanted a dragon of her own), Laena (Baela’s daughter), & even maybe Viserys II.
It is very sad. But Morning died probably before Rhaena herself did. And that is worse.
Dragons can at least live to 200 years old, Morning could've been alive by the time of Daenerys's birth. But she died. I don't really know how she died. Is it told in the book?
so I've been compiling a list of all the Targaryens whose cause of death we know, and almost all of those missing from the list are women: Septa Rhaella, Daena the Defiant and her sisters, Daenora and her son Maegor, Vaella, Aegon V's sisters Daella and Rhae, Dany's grandmother Shaera and her sister Rhaelle. do you have any theories or worries about how these women may be revealed to have died in F&B 2?
What, me worry about GRRM falling back on death in childbirth in order to get rid of female characters? What, me worry about GRRM showing less interest in female characters compared to their male counterparts? Who could ever have gotten that idea?
(Also I’m assuming you’re only talking about female Targaryens by birth who died post-Fire and Blood Volume 1, because we also don’t know exactly how Visenya died, or Rhaena daughter of Aenys I, or Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s daughter Saera, or if we’re being really technical Aenys’ youngest daughter, Vaella - and that’s not even counting Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s maternal half-sister and later daughter-in-law Jocelyn Baratheon.)
Anyway, yes, I am definitely concerned. My current position is that until and unless we have information guaranteeing that any given female Targaryen did not die in childbirth, I’m mentally preparing myself for news that they died in childbirth. Aegon III’s sisters Baela and/or Rhaena? May have died in childbirth. (I don’t like to think of the implications of killing the former like that in the context of her possibly declining marriage to Alyn and his relationship with Elaena.) Daenora? May have died in childbirth. (Unless she is more like The Accursed Kings’ Clemence of Hungary as the wife of the partial-Louis X-like Aerion Brightflame - I’ll have to think about that in another post.) Maekar’s daughters Daella and/or Rhae? May have died in childbirth. (Although hopefully the former’s possible romance with Dunk will save her.) Egg’s daughter Rhaelle? May have died in childbirth.
And even if childbirth isn’t involved, that doesn’t mean we’ll necessarily get any information on what ultimately happened to these ladies. Given how little GRRM apparently wished to have Dowager Queen Alyssa, crown princess Jocelyn Baratheon, or Princess Alyssa involved in the lives of their royal children, I don’t have a lot of confidence in, say, Queen Shaera lasting long after the accession of Jaehaerys II. Given how little GRRM detailed the lives or ultimate fates of the princess (and would-be heiress)-turned-septa Rhaella and the mentally disabled Princess Gael, I’m not at all confident that GRRM will spend much time on the fate of the princess-turned-septa Rhaena or the mentally disabled would-be heiress Vaella. The lack of any mention of Daena in TWOIAF, especially in connection with her son’s eventual rebellion (remember that she would only have been 51 at the time of the First Blackfyre Rebellion), doesn’t give me a lot of confidence in her surviving long past the birth of Daemon.
(Still hoping that Princess Elaena lives to be 70 and not only gets to be GRRM’s favorite sort of character - the sassy, confident, smart older woman/widow - but specifically sticks up for Egg’s secret marriage for love with Betha Blackwood, using both her own history of marrying for love and her seniority within the royal family. Give me one nice thing, GRRM!)
But hey, GRRM is a great writer! I would love Fire and Blood Volume 2 to tell us a lot more about all of these ladies, and I’m willing to trust that the author has the talent to do just that.
rhaenys really didn't give a shit that three boys will be in danger as long as driftmark would go to her / then baela didn't she? at least until viserys showed up so she changed her mind because;
1. she thought viserys gonna support rhaenyra anyway even if she'd say that corlys wanted driftmark to go to baela
2. if it was otto's decision she would be AGAIN dismissed bc she's a woman and driftmark would go to vaemond and then his sons instead of baela and with rhaenyra's offer at least rhaena would be lady of driftmark and then her line would rule for next years
3. even if she would won there's still would be daemyra against her and later rhaenyra on the throne, so people would still spread the rumours but ignore it officially so velaryon boys would still matter in the line of succesion, daemon and nyra would marry baela to luke so the driftmark would go with velaryon name thanks to luke anyway (in the matter of marriage it was daemyra's decision after all and twins were targaryen by name)
4. corlys would be pissed for ignoring his choice and also for endangering jace, luke and joffrey and there was still chance for him to come back
I'd give her points for announcing officially that jace and luke are betrohed to dragon twins so rhaenyra wouldn't back off but otherwise rhaenys was bitch right there. she does not have a prove that nyra killed laenor, the truth is it could all just daemon who after losing laena could see this as opportunity to be with rhaenyra
as far as rhaenys knows nyra was keeping laenor's secret and gave him sons he took as his own. if that was such big of a problem and rhaenyra was really so ruthless she'd killed him long time ago, before jace and then marry harwin (which now viserys would more likely agree to it, especially that harwin's status was better since his father was officially the hand and also nyra kept her part of a deal with marrying laenor and before that viserys let her choose her spouse). all rhaenys knows that laenor loved those three boys, corlys loves them and so the twins and she has a problem bc they're not directly laenor's blood. bitch. what those three boys did to you exactly to throw them under the bus dragon
rhaenys in books is so much better character, i don't like how creators made her inconsistent in the show (and looking at trailer, they keep going with that), how she switches and changes her mind to please anyone, mostly her husband, her killing people for badass moment but stopping at killing greens... if it was for kinslaying, she would take that to assure safety of baela and rhaena at very least, but it just wasn't her war to start and now we have consequences, while it was her in books who said to use dragons against greens. GIVE ME BACK MY BOOK RHAENYS
