SpookyCharm is a road/terrain DR mash-up using @criquette-was-here’s Rural Charm set (with the road surface markings removed) and @dramallamadingdang’s Lush Default Terrain Replacement, with sincere thanks and credit to them both ♥

I’ve named the files similarly to RuralCharm files so the ones that replace criquette’s should hopefully be easy to tell. I’m pretty sure shasta_SpookyCharm_RoadOverlay has its own GUIDs and shouldn’t conflict with other road overlays. It’s categorized under Miscellaneous > Vehicles. There’s also a matching recolor of the Nightlife driveway, and files are compressed but not merged. ts2 download

Does anyone know what this problem is and/or how to fix it?

If a terrain gets close to sea level I get this. Either blue and yellow (new neighborhood) or just blue “x”s (Elsewhere). Top one is lush terrain, bottom is desert.

As far as I’m aware, I have only two terrain defaults -- the lush is criquette’s RuralCharm and the dirt is the “alien” oilslick you saw from a few days ago.

This is happening on multiple types of terrain.

!! In a moment of derp, I pressed CTRL to “erase” the terrain pain and it goes away on the top picture. Maybe a weird terrain default?

To me nothing beats the rural charm of an English cottage garden. I like the casual unpretentious beauty of this relaxed garden style, where flower beds are filled to the brim and plants are allowed to go wild. This garden is a perfect example for that. In the border a blue hardy geranium is used to frame it, various delphiniums, and a tall catmint variety and other perennials are adding hight. In the background is an old a little run down shed embraced by a climbing rose. A tree and two cedar columns are rounding out the scene. Nothing is overdone or stands out, everything in perfect harmony. How do you feel about cottage gardens? Do you like this garden style? Are they your cup of tea or not? The photo was taken last year at Whitcombe House, a private garden that opened its gates to the public for an NGS Open Garden garden event. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is perfect for the family of 4. Upon entering this property, you will find that it has tons of charm, plentiful character and adequate square footage to truly make this house a home for a close knit family looking to spend quality time together. Your sims will be greeted with a great view of the gazebo which can be easily accessed by crossing a bridge over the driveway onto the pier.

Additionally, there are extended pathways on both sides of the home surrounded by flowers, trees and various terrains hopefully making the family feel one with nature. Feel free to edit this house as you please as I left the interior quite empty for a reason! Upon entering the home, sims will walk into a foyer which is open to the stairwell, living room and dining room; all of which are empty; this way you can put personal style based on your sims' lives, personalities and characteristics. The floor plan might seem rather inconvenient at first, but it is based on homes built in the early-mid 1900s. This house doesn't have the modern day open concept or a "powder room" on the first floor, but hey... it wasn't designed for modern convenience! 

The living room is oversized with plenty of room to include a small study or space for sims to practice and touch up on their skills and hobbies. Off the living room is a small patio space for additional hobbies/crafts/eating area.

Leading off the kitchen is a spacious backyard completed with a grilling area, lounging/sitting areas, a pool, access to the garage, beautiful garden and outdoor eat-in patio surrounded by private fencing to really give each space separation.

Upstairs are two bedrooms with their own bathrooms (one with a closet for changing wardrobes), along with a family/art room with a very unique balcony leading off room that is open to do what you'd like with! (Telescope/Chess/Painting/Etc.)

I hope both you and your sims appreciate living in this home! I put a lot of time and effort into this build and I would absolutely LOVE if you guys would post pictures of your sims living in it. It makes my heart so happy when I see my fellow simmers not only downloading my creations, but posting pictures of their sims living in and enjoying them.

Hey! To be honest, I was thinking about it while creating Sunnysdie. The trouble is that I like decorating buuut I can decorate only terrains by others. I’ve never tried to make my own. I don’t even have Simcity 4 installed. So, that’s a great idea. Maybe during my simmer break, I’ll come up to something :)
