I rly need to rewatch pirates ahoy, it's been a minute hshksh.

But it's good! The plot twist the pirate crew is just a bunch of hypnotized randos is so damn funny (although i wish we didn't get a little person as the bad guy there)

It's also just a good Fred centric movie. At least he gets one iteration with nice parents lmao. Honestly, i think they're super fitting. The bit in the begging when they say hi to the rest of the gang is adorable. They love those guys too <33

Once again, the songs are bangers, but honestly, sd music tends to go hard. And the zombie/ghost pirate designs are fun!

Stage Fright is one of my favs too! I actually mailed it to a friend to borrow awhile back since she's rly big on Phantom of the Opera lmao (also included a little Scooby doodle with a phantom mask that said "ring for me Rhistine!")

The twist of there being multiple Phantoms is like my favorite thing ever. The way they just keep adding phantoms by the end hsjsh. Whole damn theater is the Phantom at this point.

AND THE INTRO?? definitely up there with my all time favorite sd movie intros. The song and animation are great!! Everyone go watch it rn:

One of my main gripes is how Chrissy was handled. Especially when you compare her with that kid from Shaggy's Showdown. Like sure she's an ass, but she's a little kid, and it's obviously the fault of her parents. She's just weirdly treated the whole movie and i hate it

I guess it's realistic with how talent shows tend to favor singers, but i do not think Daphne and Fred should have won (even if they forfeited it) DID YOU SEE THAT VIOLIN GIRL?? SHE KILLED THAT SHIT!! Even before they intentionally failed, she should've kicked Fred and Daphne's asses lmaoo

All in all tho, i do rly enjoy Stage Fright. It's a fun one!

Scooby-Doo Binge: Day 7

I had a Scooby-Doo Binge Party with some friends! We watched the James Gunn live action movies, some episodes of Guess Who and Pirates Ahoy! It was really nice to watch with people who enjoyed Scooby-Doo just like I do!

Pirates Ahoy was great and is definitely a new favorite of mine. I really liked the fact that the gang were so good at solving mysteries and they love it so much that they finished a weeks worth of mysteries in a day. It just shows how they’re such big nerds, I love them so much 🥰 I started that movie for the first time when I was a kid but never finished it, so watching this movie has been, like, 12 years in the making!

I also finished Season 1 of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo and one episode has me confused! Some guys kidnapped Scooby, held him for ransom, but didn’t call the gang for money, they called Hollywood? I guess Scooby is way famous but that’s never come up before. The kidnappers didn’t get the money, but I’m still wondering 🤔
