Empress. Mystic Spiral Tarot

Love and war goddesses, also the goddess. Mother Nature. Astrology/Element Other than the sun and moon, Venus is the brightest object in our sky. Trailing the sunset, she is the evening star (Hesperus); preceding sunrise, the morning star (Lucifer). Like Inanna of the seven veils, she reveals herself to us in phases. The planet is mysteriously veiled by clouds—and incredibly hot! Venus signifies female attributes, beauty, and how we attract and go about getting what we desire. Her glyph suggests a figure with welcoming arms, and is comprised of the circle of Spirit over the cross of matter. It looks like the Egyptian ankh, meaning “life.” Life emanates from nature. The appetite of life for procreation is born from humankind (the cross) seeking completion (the circle). The glyph is the only one which connects all the sephiroth of the Tree of Life. The planet Venus symbolizes all we find worthy of desire—usually love and money! Venus loves luxury, pleasure, and relationships of all kinds. She rules two signs: airy Libra by day and earthy Taurus by night. Libra, the seventh sign, represents beauty, harmony, balance, and marriage; Taurus, the second sign, is concerned with the comforts, pleasures, and necessities of life. As the lesser benefic, Venus bestows gifts. Her earthy presents are sensuality, refined taste, and resources: favors that grant prosperity. Her airy presents deal with charm, culture, physical symmetry and beauty, diplomacy, discernment, and popularity. In her fullness she represents all that is creative, whether that involves nurturing children, making music, or the creative arts. Her exaltation in Pisces shows that it is through compassion that she best expresses her ideal of love as sacrifice. Mythology/Alchemy The Empress is the representation of alchemical salt. In alchemy salt is the body and base matter. It is what remains after the process of combustion, the substance that survives death and generates new life. Salt is an enigma; it both preserves and corrodes just as Venus is described by the alchemists as “external splendor and internal corruption.” Salt dries things out yet is harvested from the waters of the sea.

Heavenly Aphrodite, born from sea foam, is the “Amorous One,” “Mother of Passion and Peace,” and the “Giver of Life.” Portrayed as an infinitely desirable woman, her domain is that of love, pleasure, and procreation. We must never forget though that her favorite lover was Ares, god of war, and that her predecessor, Astarte, was both a fertility and a war goddess. Like the Priestess, the Empress is associated with Hathor. She is also associated with Isis, in her role as Queen of Heaven, wife of Osiris, and mother of Horus. Yet Crowley reminds us, “not only Isis, but Nephthys.” 9 Nephthys was the sister of Isis, nursemaid of Horus, and bride of warlike Set. She was called “Lady of the Enclosure,” representing the gateway much like the Empress is often referred to as the “Gate of Heaven.” Where Isis guides the passage of birth, Nephthys guides passage through the gate of death, for one is inherent in the other. Demeter (Ceres), called “She of the Grain,” is a goddess of agriculture and maternal relationships. The name Ceres comes from roots meaning “to feed” and “to grow.” The suffix -meter in the name Demeter refers to the word mother. The prefix de- is an old name for a chthonic earth goddess; thus, she is the “Mother Earth.” Her most famous tale involves her mourning the abduction of her daughter Persephone, causing the earth to wither in winter. I have two new oc's (feel free to ask them questions)

Okay so I got into a second gen rp and I always passively imagined if Kyle and Asra had kids it would be a pair of twins. Gave it no deep thought past that. Well I recently got into a second gen rp and got to rp the twins which means giving them personality. Since I've been reading legends darkstalker from wings of fire I decided to loosely base them off darkstalker and whiteout. We decided to give the second gen kids space names for fun so the twins were called Aurora and Solar. The more I messed around the more I adore them especially Aurora.

The basics about them;

Solar;

male/he/him

element; fire

basic appearance; blood red hair, deep purple eyes, prefers brightly colored clothes in an attempt to mimic poison dart frogs.

likes; magic, learning as much about magic as he can, animals, pranks especially ones that show off his magic skills, learning, fighting(defending those weaker than him)

dislikes; reading and writing, tarot, being told 'no', big dogs(Inanna is the exception)

Adores magic and is overprotective of his twin for reasons I'll talk about in her part. He's a good kid but hasn't learned how to properly deescalate situations and having a natural knack for magic this means his go to is to stop the conflict as quickly as possible. If this is someone wrongfully yelling at Aurora or being a bully this means using magic to stop them, which is not the best solution and Asra and Kyle have tried to explain this multiple times. Cus he is a good kid and has a good heart he just tends to go straight to violence to stop the issue immediately. Like recently in the rp one of Naida's kid's yelled at Aurora for getting paint in her hair (Aurora was innocent) and Solar immediate reply was to attack her to get her to stop yelling at Aurora even when his twin was trying to sort out the issue calmly by pointing out she doesn't have red paint and maybe even go get Nadia to help them clean everything up. Solar's quick action caused a fight even if it was from a good place.

Aside from his love for magic and practicing magic he doesn't have the patients to sit and read books about magic instead trying to get Asra and Kyle to just teach him hands on which Asra is all for but also makes it a point that he should know how to read and write even if he doesn't like to do it. He once tried to set Faust on fire due to seeing the stove salamander and knowing she's magic and the stove salamander is magic so Faust should be fireproof like the salamander. Was disappointed to learn she is not fireproof after being stopped by Asra before any harm was done. Is the twin to get bored around the shop and rope Aurora into his shenanigans and Faust isn't always the best role model with that.

Aurora

dislikes; violence, being forced to use magic, being talked over or spoken for, stinky smells, large crowds, being forced to speak when she doesn't want to, storms, people touching certain items like her comfort plush

Adorable and smoll. Aurora is soft spoken and tends to enjoy watching more than saying her own opinion's. This does mean among kids her age she's more prone to being bullied or tried to be manipulated, although she is a lot harder to manipulate than she looks. Ever since the first time being bullied Solar has taken it upon himself to protect her against other kids. Instead of giving her more confidence seeing her brother jump into fights for her especially using his magic has only caused her to shy away from people more. While she isn't super interested in magic and doesn't at first glance have the same natural magical ability it was actually shown later on she has a weird sense being able to almost see magic. This disinterest isn't due to her not enjoying magic but more due to enjoying watching others do magic more than actually casting magic herself.

She doesn't dislike people and actually tends to be able to get along with a lot of different people by being genuinely nice. Although this is usually with older kids and adults being able to act more rationally and not pick on her simply for not speaking much. When she paints she tends to prefer to have a small bucket of water nearby so she can use her hands and fingers to paint and wash her hands between colors so she gets bright colors without having to use a paintbrush. Has been taught how to use a paintbrush but enjoys the feeling of paint on her hands and the control she has from using her fingers. She's actually quite good, while she can't paint realistic pictures she can make beautifully colorful pieces.

As mentioned in her dislikes she does have an emotional support plushies. These are a dragon, a cat, a snake and a bird. She mainly uses them whenever there's a bad storm as she usually grabs one of them anywhere from a few minutes to an hour before a bad storm hits, noticing the change in the air and growing uncomfortable and agitated. (She tends to bite them a lot as a way to vent out this unease.)

Inanna

When I finally made the decision to begin practicing witchcraft instead of just dancing around the idea, I almost immediately began receiving signs from a deity. These signs came in the form of a rainbow in a cloud that was only red, yellow, and blue, and were incredibly bright. They started fading as soon as I called my friend who is a practicing witch to ask their opinion. About half an hour later the number eight began popping up over and over. An initial search for the deity online turned up no one other than Iris, who did not resonate at all. I decided to go to a store for witchcraft, which being the chaos gremlin that I am I choose to refer to as the magic shop, and pick up a Rider-Waite tarot deck. The very first spread I laid to communicate with the deity turned up, among other things, the Ten of Cups. I immediately realized that was what the rainbow sign I received was pointing me towards. I still wasn’t entirely sure which deity I was being called to, so the following morning I laid a more expansive spread for deity communication. This time it was incredibly clear. I got incredible amounts of excitement and energy from the deity, who chose to represent themself as the Eight of Wands (and me as the Nine of Wands). They repeated over and over how excited they were to work with me, how happy they were to welcome me into their family, and gave of so much energy and exuberance. They also made very clear that they wanted me to leave a bad relationship I have been dragging my feet on (a message that continued cropping up in every reading until I took the first steps to leave). As to signs to identify them, they gave me a strong connection to water, to justice as their domain, and that they were female. In her aspect as she will be working with me, she is patient, persistent, loyal, ambitious, seizes opportunities, decides what she wants and goes for it. I also drew a connection to fertility. Combine that with the number eight, and it was very clear that I was speaking with Inanna, a Mesopotamian warrior goddess of fertility, justice, and the sky. The energy and passion I got from her was incredible, and it was so easy to say yes.

New Year’s Celebration HCs

Yay! I queued this to hopefully post after New Year’s Eve here in Germany lol, but I personally want to wish you all a Happy New Year no matter where you are and I hope for this decade to be one which will be good and forgiving to all of us, even with all the challenges still to come in our lives everyday!

Asra

Asra is for everything open to do. They could stay in all day or attend some party invites from all their friends and family, but if it’s just the two of them for the night, he’ll set up the room for them with some candles and snacks until midnight. He’ll be a big fan of all kinds of readings to do before the clock strikes twelve, from Tarot and asking questions to lead-pouring and see what’s in for them in the next year. He invited Muriel too, who may or may not show up on some point, but there is no pressure on him to come. They share their time with telling each other about wishes and what their expectations are like, but don’t look back further into the past than they have to, wrapped in blankets and sunk into pillows until they hear the first bangings of the fireworks. Only for a few minutes, Asra will look out of the window with the MC, before reaching for their hand and taking them for a night run through the city, seeing all the different fireworks and greet people in passing before they reach some place higher, a place he still knew from the past, so he can show the lights to them more clearly. And that’s where they will stay until the fireworks stop, even if the MC falls asleep on his shoulder, knowing that Asra will bring them home safely

Nadia

As a person of interest for many, it is in HER best interest to throw a party. Not as big and headache-inducing as the Masquerade, but still big enough for family and other royals to attend, as well as all her and the MCs friends. She tries to distance herself from the preparation as much as possible, especially when MC and Portia tell her to rely on the people around her, making this the first step into her personal resolutions for the next year. Then again, she is still busy placing and ordering some stuff around but still stays out of some decisions, praying everyone did the things she would have done. Before the celebrations, she’ll invite the MC for a bath, taking all the time she needs to calm and get dressed before the grand entrance. Afterwards, it’s a pretty typical ball, and she flaunts around, greeting everyone and having conversations, always making small stops with the people she loves to regain some more strength. A page will inform Nadia that it’s time, so she’ll have everyone retreat to the balcony for the celebration, watching the fireworks light a new year together with the most important people closest to her

Julian

From everyone, he kind of takes the easiest route, merely asking people to join him at the Rowdy Raven. It’s pretty casually at first, but alcohol is pouring into everyone attending, so when they still have two more hours before midnight, everyone is pretty drunk and in a festive mood, singing and dancing on the tables, the bartender telling everyone to grab their own drinks since he cannot keep up with serving them. It might not be the prettiest celebration, but everyone - no matter if friend or stranger, is having fun as if it was a family reunion. And if someone doesn’t - they get thrown into the canal outside. Randomly, someone will shout into the crowd that it’s shortly before midnight and Julian senses his chance, whisking away all his friends unsuspiciously to the docks, showing them the fireworks he got - as he said legally, and not from the palaces treasury - to them and lights them with everyone as the clock strikes twelve. Enthusiastic, Julian will look after them, cheering for his rocket going the farthest before going around and wishing everyone a Happy New Year, including a kiss from him to everyone. He didn’t miss out on being the first kiss for all his friends that year, and one special one for the MC if they allow it

Muriel

Muriel really doesn’t want too much of a ruckus, and the loud banging of fireworks is too stressful for someone who usually stays away as far as possible from the loudness of the city. So the best bet for him is having Asra and the MC come visit him on New Year’s Eve, luring him out of the cottage for a walk before suggesting a picknick in the fields far outside of Vesuvia. This way, they will still see the lights above the city, but it will neither be as loud and as intrusive as he fears this celebration to be. So instead, they spent their evening telling stories and sharing wishes for the next year, Inanna always at his side, knowing something is going to happen. But they don’t even notice the time at all, Asra randomly pointing out stars, when the first firework starts up, and they all flinch before turning towards it, admiring the play of lights of a while. Though he and Inanna are bundled up together, giving each other protection from the bangs, Muriel still has to admit he cannot take his eyes off the magical colors, something he has seen so much in his life, yet always gets mesmerized by. They end up watching in silence and awe, except for some chuckles every now and then, before Asra and MC start to wish a Happy New Year, catching a seldom blissful smile on Muri’s lips

Portia

Even without being able to throw a huge party, she’s preparing for as big of a get-together possible, preferable at her home. Setting up a lot of lamps and seating space in the garden area before the little hut and letting everyone bring food and snacks, she invites everyone who wants to come, including Nadia, Mazelinka, and Selasi. Of course, everyone who is close to her and the MC will attend, and it will be as merry of a celebration as could be. Most of the time, Portia will be running around, trying to make everything perfect until MC and Nadia pull her down on a seat, telling her to join them. Still, latest when it’s time for the change of year, Portia is up and bringing everyone all kinds of drinks, from rum for Julian to wine for Nadia - whatever Portia managed to gather. She’s the one who cheers the loudest once the clock strikes midnight, and the celebration goes from here for a bit of time longer until everyone disperses and leaves for the night. She’ll admit afterwards that though it’s difficult throwing a party, it’s just so much fun and she looks forward to the next year

Lucio

Much like Nadia, but more for his own pleasure, Lucio throws a private party, bunkering the ballroom. He has mostly him and the MC there, also some people who still support him and the courtiers were invited, but if they nag him long enough, he will allow Nadia to bring her party there too, rejoining them with everyone. Lucio isn’t all too pleased with everyone bothering him for New Year’s resolutions. Still, he endures it for the sake of the party. There is a whole lot of dancing and much less talking with anyone he doesn’t want to, but when he sees his chance to announce what should be Nadia’s task, he will grab it, wanting to be the first to wish everyone a Happy New Year before Nadia can snag the attention again, thanking everyone for coming. Much to her annoyance, he and she have a bit of an act on the steps to the ballroom, Nadia trying to thank everyone for the last year, and Lucio insistent on talking about himself and his ideas for the next one. It’s super funny to watch, and the MC will be the one to jump in and ask people to come to the balcony, two minutes before midnight, which leaves Nadia shaking her head and Lucio sullen over not being able to talk more. But next they know, he drags them by the wrists outside, to watch the fireworks, excited like the child of a man he is He’ll also be more than happy to be the MCs first kiss for the new year if they let him

𒌋𒑆 The Sun 𒌓𒉎𒃲 This card has an interesting origin story. Initially we were inspired by Utu as the Sun God and wanted to depict him rising in the sky for this card. However, the twin/sibling archetype shows up in this card sometimes and we thought that having Inanna riding along with him would be great. After we had already decided on the image though, I stumbled upon a myth called “Inanna and An”. In this myth, she calls upon her brother Utu to help her take the Eanna, An’s temple. In the end, they reached the temple successfully and Inanna claims it as her own. In Mesopotamian culture, this myth was an important one, showing how Inanna became Queen of Heaven and Earth, above all others. And that’s really what the sun is about, Isn’t it? Victory. Success. Beatrice aesthetic at the moment:

a cheap ouroboros ring with tiny amethyst chip eyes, veils over her face or translucent scarves over her hair in public (early on in her route at least), messy hair, carelessly bared arms

a trusting hand in inanna’s fur, even as she meets muriel’s distrust with watchfulness, even as she carefully mirrors his every step through the forest, memories made heavy between them by their absence

In this, mc will be a child of Eros (love and sex). Children of eros tend to be very flirty, mischievous, and even sometimes cunning. they are very attractive, keeping a youthful look even as they get older. in some cases, children of eros are fiercely compassionate and loyal to those they care about. Some of their abilities include (only listing the ones that will be mentioned): emotional energy beam, shield of love, archery, relationship detector, feelings manipulation (will only be used in a positive way~). they can even create wings and fly for short periods of time. i like to think children of eros have an aura that radiates pure love.

Asra

you probably only flirted with him once and he was head over heels for you (without you even meaning for it to happen)

both of you have beautiful hair and skin, people tend to be very jealous of how soft and youthful you both always look

you two are ‪inseparable‬! always kissing, hugging, holding hands, etc. basically always touching in some way

once tried to prove how much he loved you, but you did him one better and used your love for him to create an energy beam and burned your names together inside a heart into a fallen tree

he cried

teases you by saying it’s surprising you didn’t use your powers to make him love you as much as he does because he loves you a LOT

constantly tells you how beautiful/handsome you are (let’s be honest, he’s always showering you with all kinds of compliments)

tries to play matchmaker for people with you (“mc, do you want to grab your bow and play cupid today~”)

asks you to use some of your energy to make love potions more potent 🌸 he LOVES love (you even help with sex potions or charms)

when you told her you were a child of eros, she found it very interesting and asked if you had used your charm on her (“i’m only teasing! who wouldn’t fall in love with you, darling~”)

one of her favorite things is watching you interact with someone who was flirting, you immediately use your powers to make them lose all interest and walk away

loves when you make her room extra beautiful while she’s gone (her favorite flowers on the bed, using your magic to make it always smell like her favorite incense, etc)

finds it hilarious when you whisper about people’s relationships to her (“oh, i knew i sensed a spark between them! do you think any of our friends have been together?”)

adores how compassionate you are and loves to be taken care of by you (although she prefers to pamper you, she won’t pass up an oppurtunity to have your love wash over her)

loves when you leave her secret love letters for her around the palace, especially when you charm them and she can feel your love humming in her chest even if you’re away

she loves kisses on the forehead, on her hands, and shoulders

you never miss out on an oppurtunity to make a grand gesture of love for her! particularly likes when you recite poetry to her and give her flowers

at night you both love taking care of each other, starting with brushing hair, massages, venting, and especially getting her to relax in anyway (she is a countess with tons of responsibility after all)

(sex becomes a very passionate, and intimate thing for you two as well as something that helps heal nadia after particularly difficult days)

practically melts anytime you touch him because he can just feel your love for him radiating off you

like nadia, he was surprised when you revealed your age because he was expecting you to be wayyy younger

always asks you to pick up on people’s love lives, trying to place bets on if two people have slept together or not (just for fun)

calls you his god/goddess/goddex (genderneutral version), angel, darling, my love and cupid for obvious reasons hehe

did someone say date night every night?? because you guys do <3 even if it’s just little things like sitting outside and looking at the stars together, you both love making time for each other

always kissing or holding each you in some way, he can’t help but feel some comfortable and safe when you’re around

he never thought he deserved love before but now he’s with the literal epitome of love and now he can’t imagine a life without you (please treat him like a god and never hurt him omg)

you have to tone down the flirting a bit but you always make sure to compliment him! too much will make him do the windows xp shutdown noise

both of you make charms for each other, his are protective charms and yours are so he can still feel your aura (so he never feels alone again)

blushes so much every time you shower him with love and after a while he becomes comfortable with being super loving (it does take a long time if we’re being honest)

your aura is very intense for him at first but it eventually becomes something that he finds very comforting and can sense when you’re close

loves how you’re so loving with not only him, but with inanna and the other animals of the forest. your compassion never ceases to amaze him

at the beginning he would probably apologize a lot because you show him so much love so easily and it’s a bit harder for him but eventually realizes because it’s so easy for you, it’s not a burden, you just genuinely love pampering him

sometimes thinks he’s not doing enough but you almost cry every time he gives you a gift because you can feel how much love he put into it :(

even if you’re smaller than him he still loves when you spoon him and run your hands through his hair

plants tons of flowers in her garden just for you!! (ex: flowers that are the same color as your eyes, hair, or your favorite color! she even plants your favorite flowers)

one of her favorite things is when you write love poems for her

whenever you spend the night, your aura would probably linger in her cottage for a while and she loves it so much especially when she misses you

because of that, you “accidentally” leave your clothes there a lot just for her to wear them :’)
