Thought the 3 games challenge on Twitter was neat so I decided to jump in on it! Sometimes the contrast between the two most recently games I’ve played is just hilarious
*Insert “I Wanna be Tracer” here*. Mainly some sticker remakes and such. From left to right: Sushi Tacroach, Banana Split Tacroach, Sweepoof, Cheesecake Incherrito, Preying Escantis (Made up of Creamy Tacroach, Sweepoof and Cheesecake Incherrito. Also the name derives from the Spanish word for Frosty, being “Escarchada”/“Escarchado”. I mean I think it is lmao), Starfly, and Cranegosteen.
Both Starfly and Cranegosteen utterly despise each other btw, and they’re both based off of Crane flies, which can’t fly too well.
While the Tacroach has a pretty easy colour scheme to work with, the Baja Tacroach was a bit more chaotic to work with. Fortunately, by focusing only on the shell, the brown meat filling and the fish meat pieces, I was able to get a visual scheme that I actually ended up liking more than that of the standard Tacroach.
Something very interesting and fortunate about the Tacroach is that it actually uses a duplicate of the Preying Picantis textures, while only using a small part of it. This left a lot of unused texture space for me to put in my own textures, in this case some wide area of meat and fish textures.
The fish texture recreation was done in Texturelab using some repeating lines and gradients with directional warps.
The grumpuses of Snaxburg has become tired of the same ol snax, they want something fresh! That is where y’all come in!
Rules:
