hello :) could you maybe explain a little bit how dan wootton blackmailed louis?
ugh sorry for taking a while to get to this. The problem is I feel like the only two ways to answer this are by spending a week and a half of full time labor sifting through old posts and evidence to get every detail right and lay out an airtight case, or to halfass something very serious, and so I felt a little stuck. So since I can't seem to find a good halfway point, apologies but here is the half assed version, if you want to get into it more I invite you to do your own deep dive or talk to other people, but here's how I remember things.
Louis has almost never on video explicitly said things about Larry not being real and/or anything negative about fans and their theories (mostly the opposite), up until the last couple years when he obviously decided to make a major change he didn't talk about Freddie much at all let alone saying he was his kid, honestly not that much about Eleanor even; except for in two major interviews with Dan Wootton, each of which lined up with a serious traumatic Tomlinson family event that they managed to keep out of the tabloids until the very end (Jay's illness and Fizzy's struggles with substance abuse). After the fact of those events a lot of small things that didn't make sense at the time came together to look very much like Louis traded those interviews (and those answers) for having his family's private matters kept private. Story trading of this kind is a publicly known real thing that happens, and there were various clues that suggested he was being leaned on about those stories to lend legitimacy to the idea that it was something that happened in these cases. Given what we know about Dan Wootton and how he operates even before the recent flood of information and even more now, I think it's more than likely that he has been holding the threat of outing Louis (as he has done to many other public figures) over his head for over a decade, and has used his family's tragic struggles to get Louis to dance like a fucking puppet for him and I will REJOICE at his downfall when it comes whether it is now or 20 years from now... because someday it will, he has made too many enemies to stay above it forever

So what do we think? Did Donna lie at the end of Wild Blue Yonder when she said she couldn't see what the Doctor had been through in the 15 years since they were last together? She said it was like looking into a furnace, which is uncomfortable but not impossible. It smarts, it's unsustainable. You may pull back from the heat and the light eventually, you may narrow your eyes to slits to take it in, but it can be done for a short time. Which suggests that Donna can actually see into that decade and a half, but refrains from looking. It's partially a choice. She pulls back, turns away, in part due to self-preservation. But does she also pull back, turn away, not look, in order to preserve the Doctor? To protect their privacy, respect their boundaries and allow them their own personal process?
Donna knows better than anyone else what it's like to have the boundaries of her brain breached without consent. To have her history, understanding and sense of her self and the world tampered with from the outside. And they have just come off an(other) experience in which their memories, personalities, thoughts, feelings, fears, desires, voices, bodies, movements, idiosyncrasies, in short everything that makes them who they are, was taken. They were stolen, copied, twisted and used. They both experienced the profound disquiet and existential horror of their self being breached and borrowed. Holding each other in the TARDIS in the aftermath is a way to ground them, to reclaim not just this precious other person who knows them better than anyone else in the known universe. It's also a moment in which they can reclaim themselves AS themselves, as sovereign entities.
Based on the level of shock they both exhibit, I think it's possible that Donna made a choice to differentiate between her brain and the Doctor's. Having just experienced what they experienced, I think Donna may have told a small half-truth. I think she chose a response that gave them both a little healthy distance, prioritised their peace of mind and their relationship. She chose not to look, not to say all she might know. She let the Doctor have their history, their privacy, their process, all that belongs to them and no one else. She chose to let them tell her whatever they chose to, in their own way and their own time. Because it's far less important that she know what happened in those 15 years and far more important that the Doctor have the opportunity to talk about it with someone they trust. And that's what's always been central to the relationship between Donna and the Doctor. There was never any sense of romantised enmeshment. Her thoughts, her opinions, her sense of right and wrong differed from the Doctor's. The bigness of her personality matched the Doctor's. They were never two halves of a whole but two equally magnificent wholes that, when put together, became too powerful to defeat. And 15 years on, they still are.

Yknow it really says something about their characters how the wizards escape from morgana and her fairies and decide that the best place to go is The Jail Dimension. I think about that often
It's like roaming around a prison, getting into an open jail and someone locks you in. Not to victim blame or anything, but deserved? Asking for it, even? Hm. Really pushing your luck, at least. Definitely knowing that the people actively chasing you would very much like to see you locked up. Jingle jangles keys in front of an angry bear and gets swiped at wowie!!

Your blog and writing has enabled me to really get into fandoms that I would have skipped over otherwise because I felt intimidated by them so thank you for that
((I appreciate what you're saying anon but there's no need to thank me---you should be thanking yourself instead. You could've very well read whatever it is you've read on my blog and just left your impression at 'Oh that was nice!' but instead you went ahead and watched, played, read, etc, the thing---whatever that thing is---of your own accord. You're the one who took the chance and invested your time and energy. You're the one who either decided to explore something new or give something another shot. All I did was bring it to your attention in a way that was, for whatever reason, a bit more....approachable? Palatable? I'm sure you know what I mean.
Basically all I'm saying in earnest is that the credit for all of this largely belongs to you and you shouldn't forget that. It's great that you're willing to take a run at things as it were; especially if you were put off initially, and more people should be as open-minded.))
