Lego Monkie Kid fans, the Dragon of the East Palace Lego set includes a subtle detail from chapter 14 of Journey to the West. It's a painting of Zhang Liang repeatedly retrieving and placing a shoe on the immortal Huang Shigong's foot. The Dragon King uses this tale to instill perseverance in Monkey.
My thanks to Irwen Wong of the Journey to the West Library blog for pointing out the painting on the Lego set.
Huang Shigong also appears in a Southeast Asian religious trinity associated with Sun Wukong.
Since I just made a lyrics video for future karaoke with family, I made this short video for "9 Songs of the Moving Heavens" too, but with its anniversary videos. XD
My name is Shi Guang. I’m 18 years old. There’s nothing special about me, but I have an extraordinary friend. Our story, that time when I felt like I had help sent from above. It all started in that summer many years ago. That’s when we started to become inseparable.

Mini-review:
I had so much fun watching this! I feel like the movie's tonal shifts and mixtures might be a bit too jarring for some people, but they worked perfectly for me. Most of the comedy lands pretty well, and the dramatic moments strike a nerve. There are even some effective jump-scares here and there! But the thing that takes the film to the next level is the acting. Greg Hsu and Austin Lin deliver flawless performances that really draw you in. People expecting a full-on gay romance will be disappointed, cause that's not what the story is about at all, but the chemistry between these two actors is fantastic and energetic. The directing is also dynamic and keeps you on the edge of your seat. That being said, the movie is not perfect. It tends to represent gay people in a way that feels somewhat stereotypical, and I think it could have delved much more into the social issues it addresses. I know the film has the best of intentions, but yeah, it could still be better in that regard. Anyway, Marry My Dead Body is a very fun experience, filled with humor, drama, action and great performances.
I just feel the need to spread this ~☆♡★°beautiful°★♡☆~ official art of Zhang Liang from Wang Chuan Feng Hua Lu here.
But also funfact, because of how the reliability of Sima Qian is as a historians, we can probably(I mean, the reason he got castrated was cuz of him being truthful bout the enemy state and painting one of the hero the enemy state in the good light) believe his word more than most western historian
Our beloved Grand Historian literally said Zhang Liang having a face of a fair maiden !!! Like hello? It's not that Sima Qian is have poor vocabulary or anything, dude literally (but when he's working in the government-ish department before being officially assign as a historian)slack off during work to write bout history, not to mention that's literally thousands of ways to describe a man as being beautiful and there's obviously men that's describe in ancient China leading toward the "handsome nice looking" or leading toward the " beautiful nice looking", all without having to touch upon feminine feature but nope Sima Qian just go " face of a fair maiden". Liu Bang is this well you allow Zhang Liang to step on your feet and listened to him? In all seriousness being pretty is literally the his least important out of the many pros he have.
