|| A Distant Place (2021) || 4/5🌟 || Drama || "Jin-woo, a sheep rancher in Hwacheon, is leading a quiet life raising his niece. One day, Jin-woo's lover visits them from the city. Soon after that, his twin sister, who diseappeared years ago, suddenly appears and Jin-woo's quiet life changes."
The cinematography is beautiful, the atmosphere is perfect for autumn.
A very sad movie, absolutely beautiful, poetic, very melancholic.

The difference between Hong Kyung acting and Hong Kyung in real life is so wild. Like that man is such an introvert cutie I am DEAD. And like he is just..naturally cute with the most adorable microexpressions djdndnd

Did you like 'A Distant Place'? I'm not sure whether I should risk watching it since I heard it was depressing :(
I enjoyed it! I didn't think it was particularly depressing but it certainly depicts the complexity of various relationships and the comings and goings that happen in life. The shots are gorgeous, too, so it's well worth a watch for that alone, I think.

I never knew Hong Kyung had a BL-themed film. I accidentally saw it in one of the Apps I have subscribed to and seeing such, it really made my jaw drop. Actually, I am a fan of Boy Love series but not in my wildest dreams did I thought Hong Kyung would do such a genre. But as a versatile actor, it shouldn't have shocked me to begin with.
"A Distant Place" I have learned, was a highly-acclaimed film. Although I haven't watched it in full...yet...but the recognition it has received was like telling me in advance that it is a sensible and a must-watch film, the kind where a lot of thought-provoking scenes can be seen or dialogues which would hit the core.
I still have plans to watch it in full. Given the fact that it's Hong Kyung, there's no reason not to finish it until the end.

Ma and pa are Jack cousins. With jazz out of town for a summer seminar or something and the two planning to go to a ghost convention. Jack and Maddie decide to ship Danny over to meet them and be baby sat.
Danny. He for one is not a baby. Secondly the portal is actually going to be shut. So he’s not happy but will put up with it for two weeks.
Clark is all grown up, Conner is living with ma and pa.
Danny. Well he forgets to breathe a lot. Even when he does it’s not enough for a human. So Conner. He is concerned.
Then one day he brings over a friend. Definitely not one to check out the situation.
Neither Ellie or Danny were expecting to see one another.
