i love playing with colors while editing and i’m a big fan of both pastels and vibrant colors. for me, every show has its own “color vibe” and i love enhancing that (bb is vibrant, fun, and yet emotional; vv then again is whimsical and full of magic, as an example). i often go for brighter colors but i’ve been leaning towards darker hues in certain edits too. adding noise is also one of my favorite things.

DCLA server summer festival event!

Hey guys! Ik this is like the billionth time i've promoted this server but I promise I have a reason Lmao. SO on July 15th starting at 10AM EST there's going to be a summer festival kind of event on the SL/Bia/Violetta server with lots of different things for yall to do and hopefully have lots of fun :)

The first event of the day is a novela themed madlibs hosted by yours truly. It's just like other mad lib games but the answers you give need to relate to SL, Bia, or Violetta. (this is gonna be so funny lmfao)

The second event is a writing contest! The rules are as follows:

the piece of writing must be summer themed

the piece of writing can't be over 1000 words

you can't write heavily NSFW things

You can submit your writing to our mod @slayy-all-day (Aamna) and co-owner @missroller15. (shoutout to her because this idea was hers originally! And If you join the server there's where you'll get access to their tags to DM your submission, wink wink).

Your piece of writing must also be in PDF form. The deadline to submit will be on July 15th, at 8AM EST. All members will have a chance to vote on their top 3 favourite pieces of writing, and the 3 winners will win a prize.

1st place: a personalized playlist for playlist of the week (a weekly collaborative playlist the server does with various themes - so if you win, you're the theme)

2nd place: a special emoji slot

3rd place: TBD

And the third event will be a DCLA trivia hosted by @putonmyfavoriteshow. More details will be announced soon and the winner of the trivia a will get to exclusively help plan our next server event (which will most likely be our server anniversary event).

And the last event is a listening party! There's nothing much to this one, you just enjoy listening to music in the music VC :) the only rule is to not play any heavily nsfw songs.

The actors PPTs is a required guide for the actors with an overview of the plot, characters, costumes, makeup, and general personality of the characters they will be playing.

It would give our actors an idea of how to play their roles appropriately so they can really sink their teeth into the characters and what exactly they would have to be prepared with

Our actors PPT was entirely prepared by our cinematographer Mihika Samant and production designer Aamna Khatri.

One Liner- An extremely brief tag line for the film.

Synopsis- Would be general summary of the film for the actors.

Primary Character Descriptions- This is used to give the actors playing the roles, an understanding of who their character is.

Character sketches- Shows the actor the look we want for the characters.

Character Arc- The progress of the characters' storyline and the emotions that change along the way that have to be portrayed by the actors.

visitations by var_abelasan (12K, wip, divorced wangxian, post divorce, most of this is angst, uhm lowkey don't but also do want wangxian to end up together, it's messy, the jiangs & lans are shitty, wwx was in prison (brief mentions of that but it's kind of a major plot point), mxy & xy are the little brothers he never wanted but wwx picked them up anyways)

"Wei Ying-" Lan Zhan says, stutters, "I'm sorry." 

And now Wei Wuxian sees it, the red rimming Lan Zhan's eyes, the rumpled edges of his blazer. There is an old, familiar urge for him to reach over, to hold Lan Zhan's hand and smooth his hair, to tell him that everything will be fine. 

"We're all a bit sorry about this, I think," he says instead, and finds that he means it. For Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji and everyone else in that Guanyin temple, the pain must be unbearably fresh, like skin just flayed open. But Wei Wuxian's chest had been cracked open a long time ago, his wounds licked and cauterized and sewn shut over five long years - Ever hurting, but a dull, constant ache, "It's really alright, Lan Zhan."

 

Five years after being accused of corporate espionage and losing everything, the Guanyin Scandal breaks open and Wei Wuxian finds a familiar face at his door.
