Ok , this is just me ranting after a conversation with a friend but people do not seem notice the Excellent writing of Sebastian’s side quest. Hear me out :

When we sneak into the restricted section with Sebastian, one of the first things he does for us is to keep the secret and take the blame ( meaning that the comment he said before about not going to give us away was true) for him ( and ominis ) friendship means loyalty, for small thing like taking the blame for sneaking into the restricted section to keeping big secrets ( like …. Murder) .Also when Ominis finds out about the MC knowing about the Undercroft he KNOWS is Sebastian who told the MC , but if the MC speaks and tells ominis the truth , he gets more angry cause the MC just gave away Sebastian’s involvement in this. Cause for them friends DONT BETRAY THEIR TRUST . This is some kind of foreshadowing for what’s to come and let us see the theme for this side quest , LOYALTY.

So when Sebastian does the Avada Kedavra thing , for me the game really wants us not to turn him in . Like the game is telling us that he cover for US many times in the past , even taking the blame , for What at that time was a stranger. And that is we were in the same position he would keep the secret without thinking it twice . And when later after you find out who really cursed Anne and tell Sebastian about it, he understands that his hatred for goblins was a blind one and he thanks you for opening his eyes , where as when you turn him in and then tell ominis about the Truth he tells you that Sebastian’s hatred only grew more. So for me the RIGTH answer was to be loyal to him and that would open his eyes in the future.

Anyway the game needed it a romance option for Sebastian cause this is angst material and I love it
