A proper skincare routine plays a crucial role in maintaining clean, exfoliated, hydrated, moisturized, and protected skin. Firstly, it helps to cleanse the skin by removing dirt, oil, and impurities that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Regular exfoliation is also essential as it sloughs off dead skin cells, revealing a fresh and radiant complexion. Hydration is key, and a good skincare routine ensures that the skin stays adequately moisturized, preventing dryness and flakiness. Moreover, using sunscreen shields the skin from harmful environmental factors like UV rays and pollution, which can cause damage and premature aging. By following a consistent skincare regimen, you can achieve healthier, glowing skin.

I hate acne
My skin was doing so well for a year, and all of the sudden BAM ACNE!
I’ve struggled with bad forehead acne ever since i was 13, and just last year i found the perfect skin routine.
Now, i have cheek acne (which i’ve never had) and my forehead acne is back.
I think it might be from lack of sleep and makeup (even though i don’t even use concealer or foundation).
it’s just really annoying and draining when i grew up getting made fun of for my acne, especially after my skin did so good for over a year.
i hate it.

Hello friends, I need some skincare help
I am wanting to come off of prescription Clindamycin for acne because I have to start paying for my skincare by myself soon along with a bunch of other adult stuff
I have dry, somewhat acne prone, sensitive skin and cannot use fragranced products and I used to have oily acne prone skin but that changed when I grew up- I'm 18 so I don't need like peptides and wrinkle stuff, just acne (if that helps)
Do you guys have any acne products that you recommend?

Skin care tips ᥫ᭡
• Wash face with cold water (Hot water should never be used on skin)
• Avoid touching your face ( but if your going to wash your hands throughly)
• Change your pillow cases
• Watch what you eat and drink ( I recommend eating fruits, drinking water and Cranberry juice)
• Read the products ingredients! ( Look them up to see if it'll irrigate your face)
• Try avoid staying in the sun
• Moisturizer your face
• Don't exfoliate to much (probably once per week)
• Try using a gentle face mask
• Get enough sleep!
• Reduce stress (Stay happy! ♡︎)
• Try retinol
• Take your vitamins! (Vitamin C also helps the skin)
• Take your time (Give your skin time to adjust to new products before changing them around)
• Last but not least, love your skin! Don’t get carried away with new skin care products. Normal skin tends to require less maintenance. Adding unnecessary steps may cause irritation.

so my dermatologist gave me some sample sizes of a couple cleansers with the benzyl peroxide but she said they might all burn it's the medicine !!!
I tried one yesterday and another today and both times they burnt so i guess it's just going to hurt?
I also finally got the clindamycin gel from the pharmacy and i ended up calling my coumadin clinic to tell them cause i'm not sure if it screws with my inr (the pills do but i wasn't sure about the gel and couldn't find concrete info online) and she laughed and said she had never had anyone ask about the gel, another problem with being 29 on blood thinners lmao, she said there shouldn't be any issues but if i notice extra bruises to come in and get checked so who knows

Acne treatment / spell
Initial Prep, You will need:
1- A sturdy bowl/dish and a smooth stone (can be a smooth healing stone) (a mortar and pestle or equivalent is also optimal)
2 a live and healthy aloe plant (in a pinch you can probably order a container of mostly aloe online)
3- Some Apple cider Vinegar ( mine was “with the mother”- a form of the vinegar which contains the mother and is assumed to be better)
4- the light of the full moon (optional)
Instructions
1: Cut a human finger sized snippet of aloe leaf from an aloe vera plant (you should wash whatever you use to cut it before and after, plants can get plant diseases from dirty snippers)
1.5 (optional:) thank the plant for the snippet, and ask for it and the moons blessing
2: crush the aloe snippet up in a bowl (i used a glass cat dish) with a smoothed tumbled stone you can hold in your palm (a stone that is not in any way a scratch risk) (can be a healing crystal stone) (a mortar and pestle would be optimal if you have one)
3: make sure you've properly smushed the aloe into a paste (there will be some whole green leaf but do your best to smush the leaf bits into smaller pieces)
4: get some aloe goop onto the stone and vigorously massage into your face with said stone (if you have active pimples be mindfully not to rend them open or make your skin bleed) the goal of this step is to try and massage and rend some of the deep-skin layers and really shove the aloe in there, your face might have a light reddish flush from some amount of broken micro-capillaries under the skin, DO NOT rip pimples up or tear your skin open, (no bleeding) do your level best to avoid either of these happening
5: let the aloe soak in as long as you feel is necessary
5.5 (optional: make a lengthy prayer to the the moon asking for its rejuvenating power and clarity while you let it absorb)
6: rinse your face off with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. The apple cider vinegar is to rebalance your skins natural ph,
(I just eyeballed a a dash of apple cider vinegar into a glass of mostly water; however I believe many home remedies call for apple cider vinegar to be applied to the skin, and you can research them and copy the ratios if you feel)
7: You can try and use your (rinsed) stone from earlier to apply the apple cider vinegar rinsing solution in the same vigorous manner as the aloe, or you can do a gentle rinse with some sort of cloth. Just make sure to thouroughy rinse in some fashion and pat your face dry.
7.5: (optional) complete the final closing and third part of your prayer to the moon (I haven't been specific about the prayer, but its your moon prayer and your skin, feel free to speak from the heart about whatever you desire)

Ceramides play a crucial role in nourishing and safeguarding the skin barrier against harmful external toxins. These wondrous molecules act as the body's natural defense mechanism, keeping the skin hydrated and supple. By forming a protective layer, ceramides prevent moisture loss and shield the skin from environmental aggressors like pollution and UV rays. This helps maintain the skin's integrity, preventing dryness, irritation, and potential damage. So, in a nutshell, ceramides are like the superheroes of skincare, ensuring our skin stays healthy and protected.

Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow Vitamin C Serum Review
Tumblr media
Vitamin C is a great skincare ingredient that is proven to have anti-aging properties by increasing collagen production in the skin and fighting free radical damage. However, its most effective and pure form - Ascorbic Acid, is very hard to formulate, because it needs certain conditions and it's highly unstable.
But, the G&G C-Glow might be your next favorite Vitamin C serum! Read my detailed review here: Geek & Gorgeous C-Glow Vitamin C Serum Review
