just a little reflection under here. i know it doesn’t seem like it with how much hosuh i draw, but stephen does mean a lot to me. once he started streaming and showing us who he truly is—a genuinely kind, confident, fun dude—my love for him grew and i really looked forward to every saturday.

my heart hurts so much to know that he tried so hard for 9 months to prove himself, to prove his worth, when he shouldn’t have had to. his worth has always been there, glaringly obvious. i won’t detail the situation i dealt with a few years ago with my own ex-friend group, but how stephen stuck around for so long after an argument like that baffles me. i could barely last two months. his strength and determination amazes me.

a few days ago, on new year’s day, i had a heart to heart with myself on who i wanted to become. new decade, new me. confidence in myself, among other things, was a big aspect and my mind immediately turned to stephen. he basically says ‘fuck the world’, gets his sleep, works hard, retains positivity…. i need that. i want to be able to say “everyday’s a good day when you’re dia” and “thanks, i love me, too” with confidence. he inspires me.

so, i’m glad that this isn’t goodbye, just a transition. things absolutely won’t be the same without you on the channel, stephen, but i’m so happy that you’re finally taking care of yourself and moving forward. thank you so much for everything, and i’ll see you soon on your own channel.
