Gom&Uk household chores that they hate doing and how they act while having to do it? I need to get my laundry together in the morning and just thinking about it is tiring me out lol

Kuroko — putting clean laundry away

he doesn't mind washing the laundry because there's a machine to do that, but putting the clean laundry away is another story

he has a second hamper full of clean clothes he can wear and will only put away when his mom starts nagging

Kiyoshi — hanging the laundry to dry

his grandparents are old fashioned, so they don't own a dryer, which means he has to hang his clothes out on a line

it's the one thing he grumbles about with them, but it's all under his breath because he doesn't want them to feel bad

Kise — dusting

poor guy has a bit of a sensitive nose, so dusting the furniture always has him in a sneezing fit

every time it's his turn to dust furniture, he will beg his sisters to switch chores with him

Aomine — all of them

he's really lazy when it comes to cleaning anything and his mom (and Momoi) have gotten on his ass about it

ends up taking twice as long to finish anything because he's too busy bitching and moaning about doing it

Midorima — washing dishes by hand

while, yes, he his making the dishes clean by washing them and he is a fan of clean things, he hates how disgusting dishes can get depending on what foods were on them

swears he will have a dish washing machine in his house one day

Murasakibara — changing the bedsheets

for a guy who really loves to sleep his day away, he really hates having to remove old bedsheets and replace them with new ones

he's grumbly and pouty the entire time, but he knows it's a necessity otherwise he could get itchy

Akashi — N/A

the way he lives, with maids and butlers and all the amenities a wealthy person has, he almost never needs to do chores

he finds somewhat of a reprieve when he's made to do them, like he has some semblance of control over something so small

Mibuchi — mopping

prior to mopping the floors, he's always so convinced that his floors are clean, but when he sees how gray the water gets after cleaning, he feels absolutely disgusted

changes the mop water often to keep his delusion of pristine floors

Nebuya — cleaning the bathroom

another guy who secretly has a sensitive nose, he can't stand the smell of chemical cleaners needed to make the bathroom look spotless

cleans his bathroom in full attire of gloves, mask, and long sleeves

Hayama — sweeping

it's one of the chores he's not allowed to do quickly, because it will just make the dust and dirt fly everywhere

he still tries to do it fast and gets yelled at by his family when the dirt is just pushed around instead of cleaned up

Hanamiya — cleaning out old boxes

while not a chore that happens often, he hates when he has to help his mom clean out boxes of old stuff to throw out or keep

she will go through every little thing, telling him stories about it, and he will sit there pretending to listen while wishing he could just chuck the item at the trash already

A hard smirk breaks over his lips as he leans against the wall, seemingly unaffected though his eyes meeting yours show he's actually quite interested, maybe even pleased. After all, he'd thought of doing the same thing to you but was concerned you'd have run away. "Bold of you to invade my space, ___-chan. Very few people can get this close to me... unless I want them to. Guess it's your lucky day. Now," he leans in closer, breath ghosting over your lips, "what are you going to do next?" No one would or could know just how much your boldness had affected him, he having had a crush on you for months now but uncharacteristically he hadn't made a move. Now, he knew he had made a correct choice; despite your shyness, you'd made a move. How rewarding.

Murasakibara

"Eh? What're you doin', ___-chin?" He looks down at you, as usual given his height, a lollipop going back in his mouth as he waits for you to explain caging him in both sides of his waist. Not that he minds, having wanted you close but not knowing how to tell you. When your cheeks turn pink and your gaze drops as you start to move away, he sets his large palm on your back, holding you fast. "I didn't say you had to stop," he mumbles around the candy in his mouth.

Kise

"Are you trying to kabedon me?! OMG you're so cute!" Kise can't believe you'd actually have the guts to try such a thing but he's so pleased that you did. Not that he was nervous to approach you once he figured out you returned his feelings, but he hadn't pinpointed the correct time. Now, you'd saved him the trouble in your bumbling but adorable attempt to cage in his larger form as he passed the ladder you stood on setting up for his next shot. Watching your eyes widen and your face flame up, he chuckles as he steps closer, arm on your back to hold you steady. "Careful, ____-chan, I wouldn't want you to fall for me twice," he says with a grin.

Midorima

A frown creases his brow as Takeo snickers behind you. It's disappointing seeing you give into such a useless and childish attempt of expressing affection and he tells you as much. "If you felt something for me, why not just say it?" But as your face flushes and you fight back tears, he regrets his harsh words, cursing himself for a quick wit with no filter. As you try to scurry away, he grabs your hand, unsurprised when you won't look at him. "My apologies," he says, voice clipped but words sincere, "you... you at least did something about your feelings while I remained silent." When you finally look at him with wide eyes, he clicks his tongue and pulls you away from Takeo's teasing glances. "Come, let's discuss this development in private."

Aomine

"You think you're so smooth," Aomine purrs, turning the tables quickly on your attempt to kabedon him by pressing into your space, your back hitting the wall opposite the one you attempted to cage him to. He smirks down at you, gaze tracing the flex of your throat as you swallow thickly. "Didn't think you were into this kind of stuff," he goes on, leaning closer. "Let's see what other surprises you have for me."

Kuroko

Kuroko was walking you home after a meal at Maji Burger when it happened. You'd just reached the door of your apartment and he had said his usual goodbye, but instead of opening the door you crowded him against it, palms planted either side of his head. Kuroko's heart was pounding but his face remained neutral as ever meeting your eyes. The silence became uncomfortable and you retreated with a murmured apology. "Why did you do that?" he asked. When you explained, the smallest of smiles came over his face. "You could have just told me, ___-chan," he chastised lightly, but with no heat in his voice. "Let's go out next weekend. Somewhere new."

Kagami

When you ask him for a drink while studying at his apartment, Kagami doesn’t think much of it, rising from his seat and heading to the kitchen with quick strides. It’s when he turns around to head back that he nearly careens into you, a sharp, “What the hell?” escaping in his booming voice mostly due to being startled at your unexpected presence. “Why are you blocking the door? What’s the matter?” he asks, brow furrowed and cheeks heating at your closer proximity. When you shakily explain your behavior, his face turns as red as his hair. “I… do you want to go out? For a date?” he blurts out. “I’m sorry it took a dare for this to happen but I really want to take you out.”

Himuro

He was used to attention from people, but yours is what he actually craved. So when you rose to the challenge of the silly dare and tried a kabedon on him, Himuro took the opening for all it was worth. He let you get close, a soft smile on his face as he reached up to caress your cheek. "So close and yet so far. If I dare you, will you take the next step forward?" he asks, feigning amusement while his heart hammered against his chest to finally be so near you.

The chores ask was so much fun lmaooooo. How about minor household things that grates at gom+nijimura+kagami? Like leaving food uncovered in the fridge, not putting away slippers properly, etc. Mine is people not finishing up the tiny bit of food and leaving it for other people to deal with it because you technically didn't finish it 🙄

not only does it sometimes result in ants invading his home, but it's also very dangerous for his dog

the one time somebody left food scraps out on the table and Nigou got to it, it had cost him a very expensive vet bill just to make sure his dog wasn't poisoned; the person at fault paid, of course

Kagami — not wiping down the stove after cooking

he prides himself in having a rather clean kitchen, so when someone (Riko) comes over and makes a complete mess of his stovetop without thinking to clean it, he's livid

it's the one place he keeps pristine and spotless and he will ban anyone from his kitchen if they don't bother cleaning up

Kise — leaving opened packages/boxes around the house

his family gets a lot of mail, as such, there's always an empty, open box lying around somewhere for him to trip over

he complains about the towers of boxes constantly, saying they should be broken down for the recycling, but really, he's the worst offender for this behavior

Aomine — leaving hair on the shower wall/drain

his mom is guilty of this, Momoi (on the rare ocassions she sleeps over) is guilty of this, and he's pretty sure all long haired people are guilty of this

he finds it so gross, especially when the hair being pulled out of the drain has stuff clinging to it

Midorima — leaving food scraps in the sink

similar to his distaste for washing dishes, he hates when people leave food scraps, fruit/vegetable peels, or really anything organic in the sink

thinks cleaning the sink trap of all the mushy food and gunk is so disgusting; he always gags

Murasakibara — leaving snacks improperly sealed

he spends a lot of money on the treats he buys, so if he's willing to share with you, he expects you to properly take care of the container if you don't finish the snack

the worst feeling in the world for him is eating from an already open bag of chips and everything is stale

Akashi — not using a coaster

a lot of the furniture in his home was originally handpicked and bought for his mother, so they hold a lot of sentimental value for him

he will absolutely give you a dirty look if you set down a wet glass on the wooden table without using a coaster

Nijimura — leaving dirty dishes in the sink all day

he's the type of person to clean his dishes immediately after he's done using them, so he hates when he sees someone else's dishes sitting there

he will refuse to do anyone else's dishes if this happens, which only makes it worse because now it's sitting there longer

he's got the dog ears and tail and a collar and — oh, he just realized some people may take this the wrong way

but it's okay, because he's dressed Nigou up as a mini-Kuroko, so together the costume idea makes a lot of sense

Kagami — his favorite NBA player

he's really lazy when it comes to figuring out a costume, but luckily he already has a jersey hidden somewhere in his closet

as a bonus, Kagami is still able to play basketball in his costume without worrying about it hindering his movements

Kise — a zombie

he ropes his makeup artists from his modeling job into helping him with his SFX makeup — it ends up looking so grotesque

for once in his life, girls are not flocking to him because his costume is so scary, he wonders if he should do it more often

Aomine — health department employee

nothing about his costume looks like what he's supposed to be; in fact, it looks like he's just wearing a shirt and joggers (cheater!)

uses his costume as an excuse to "inspect" everyone else's candy and steal the pieces he deems "unsafe for consumption"

Midorima — Frankenstein's monster

Midorima is very adiment that he is Frankenstein's monster, not Frankenstein himself

gets thoroughly annoyed when people (Takao) make that common mistake and will go into a full rant as to why they are wrong

Murasakibara — a mummy

it was the easiest costume he could think of on such short notice because all he needed to do was wrap toilet paper around himself

by the end of the night, his costume is in shambles from constantly getting caught on things and tearing off

Akashi — a vampire

it was a classic costume that was always a crowd pleaser — that, and he could use the fancy dress shirt he already owned

Akashi takes off the plastic fangs halfway through the night because he keeps accidentally biting his tongue

calls you and asks you how he can fix this – is genuinely surprised when you seem mad that he has to ask, but deep down he knows you are right

with a heavy sigh, he switches tactics and asks if he could come over to your place – “I want to see you. I want to hold you.”

he uses the long walk over to your house to think of all the ways he would make it up to you, starting with all the ways he could show you how much you meant to him

he texts you once – a simple ‘what do you mean ____-chin?’ – and doesn’t message anymore after that because he’s waiting for your response

is honestly not aware of what could be the problem, so he doesn’t think to message you again or call you, so the next time you guys interact is when he sees you in person at school

when he tries to act normally with you and you give him a bit of a cold shoulder, he finally starts to realize he’d done something to really piss you off

will keep trying to pull you into a hug and when you finally relent, he’ll murmur into your hair – “Just tell me what I’m doing wrong. I’ll fix it, whatever it is.”

Akashi

first thing he is going to do after reading your text message is pause whatever he’s doing to call you – doesn’t matter if it’s practice, doesn’t matter if it’s dinner; he’s going to pause it and he’s going to call you

if you don’t answer, he leaves you a voicemail; if you do answer, he asks if the two of you could talk in person later that night

he does not elaborate any further – he honestly doesn’t think he has to – so he may have accidentally freaked you out with thoughts that he might want to breakup

Akashi is honestly shocked when you arrive already in tears because of your conclusion, but he quickly corrects your wrong assumptions and promises to block off more time for just the two of you in his busy schedule – “Let’s have some time together right now.”

Kuroko: The first thing he does is wrap her in a towel. He is quick to gently guide her toward sitting on the edge of the tub, helping her swing her feet up and over the edge. "You're not seeing double or anything, are you?" His knowledge of head injuries in rudimentary at best, coming mainly from television shows and the occasional random discussion from friends, so he doesn't know exactly what to do next other than keep you awake.

Kagami: His face is nearly as red as his hair as he helps his girlfriend off the floor. If it weren't for the fact she was using both of his hands to balance herself, he would have been covering his eyes. Instead, he tried his best to look toward the ceiling where he counted the water spots left on the spackle from steam. Only when he'd counted enough, and his girlfriend was appropriately covered in a towel, did he manage to look down without glowing from embarrassment.

Kise: "____cchi, don't die on me!" He's dramatic when he flings open the bathroom door to find his girlfriend in a heap on the floor. The shower curtain and towel that's clinging to her are soaking wet from the shower still pouring down and he has trouble deciding what to do first. Turn off the water? Or help his girlfriend up? He ends up standing there for a few seconds trying to figure out what to do and she ends up yelling at him to help her first.

Kasamatsu: He hears the loud crash from outside the bathroom and comes running in, only to immediately cover his eyes at the state of his girlfriend's undress. He's reaching out one hand to help her up while the other one tries to keep his gaze away from her body — give her some privacy, he tells himself. But when he looks in the mirror and sees her anyway, he can't help the bright shade of red from invading his face.

Aomine: The seriousness of his attitude when helping his girlfriend up immediately washes away when he realizes she's going to be fine. The troubled frown on his face melts into a teasing smirk. "Maybe you shouldn't be showering alone. I could join you from now on." He waggles his eyesbrows a bit after his comment, trying to egg her on to agreeing. After all, she can't slip and fall again if he's right there to catch her.

Midorima: It's almost as if he were prepared for this exact moment because he seems almost methodical in the way he helps her up off the floor, wrapping a towel around her body before sitting her down on the bathroom counter. He pulls out a first aid kit before she can even get a word in edgewise, his hands delicately checking her scalp for any serious head wounds. When none come up, she finally hears him let out a single sigh of relief.

Murasakibara: She almost feels like a child with the way he's able to so easily pick her up off the bathroom floor after her fall. He's gentle to set her back on her feet, his hands still holding on to her sides in case the floor was still too slippery. "____-chin, are you okay?" The quick glance over her body doesn't reveal any major injuries, but he still hovers around the bathroom door after she insists on continuing on with her shower.

Akashi: Maybe it was a bit of an overreaction, but the day after her fall, he has the interior of the bathroom completely redone. All she had asked for was a rubber bathmat, something that would prevent her from slipping again. Instead, he goes the full nine yards and has the shower floor ripped out and replaced with something easier to stand on. For a moment, he contemplates bars on the walls. Maybe that was a bit too far...

I have a confession to make. I always avoided the alpha/beta/omega scenarios when we used to get them, because I never got into that trope? AU? I don't even know what it is... But I tried my best with this one and Admin 7 gave me some research sources, so hopefully this hits the nail on the head! Admin Neon

Kuroko: Had he been beating around the bush in his attempts to gain your affection? Possibly. But Kuroko honestly thought that doing you daily favors, always being by your side, and giving you those longing, affectionate glances would be enough. After months of doing this, however, it becomes abundantly clear that he was wrong thinking the subtle approach would be the best way into your heart. So he tries to be blunt instead.

"I want to court you, ____." He's trying to fight the flush of color threatening to overtake his face. "With the intention of being mates."

Kise: Even from the beginning, Kise had always been touchy with you; he always had his arms wrapped around you, nose pressed into the side of your neck where he could inhale your smell. He complimented you all the time, showered you with gifts, and answered your every beck and call. People often questioned if it was really him who was the alpha with how he treated you. And yet, you always seemed to brush off his affections like it was a game.

"I'm being serious ____cchi!" he whined one day, pouting at you. "What do I have to do for you to believe me? Collar you?"

Aomine: He thought he had made his want for you obvious, always scaring away other potential suitors with a menacing growl, making sure possessions of yours always carried his scent. It frustrated Aomine to no end that you thought all his actions were platonic. So when you come to him one day, complaining about all the potential mates he's already scared away, he snatches you up quickly and presses his nose against your throat.

"How much more obvious do I have to be?" he asks, teeth grazing your skin like he was ready to mark you then and there.

Midorima: It wasn't unusual for Midorima to give you small trinkets usually consisting of your lucky item of the day. Therefore, it wasn't unusual for you to always be carrying around something that had his scent wafting off it. He thought that would be enough of a hint for his true intentions with you; after all, he didn't get anyone else he knew presents. Sometimes he wondered how he could have fallen for someone so dense.

So one day he tries something more blunt. "A present. For you." When you open it up, there's a gorgeous collar inside.

Murasakibara: Being subtle about his feelings was thrown out the window the moment someone else tries to court you. In front of you, Murasakibara whines for you attention; in the absence of your presence, he's all glares and low growls. It isn't long before you notice that a lot of your belongings start to have his scent on them, things you used often becoming almost like a deterrent for other people. It upsets you; you don't want to be single forever!

"____-chin, you're not going to be," he drawls, pouting when you tell him to stop scenting your belongings. "You're going to be with me."

Akashi: He seems almost amused by the fact that you're oblivious to his advances and sees it as more of a challenge worth taking on to garner your affection. But even Akashi's patience can grow thin from time to time, and as you once again chalk up his kindess to him being a great friend, you find yourself pulled into his embrace. He noses at your jugular, as if he were trying to imbue your very pulse with his essence.

"Just really great friends, you say?" he asks, breathing your scent in deeply. "I'm afraid you have my intentions confused, ____."

Hii could you write hcs on what the GoM would do and how they would react if their girlfriend was crying and sad. She's like a really famous and skilled volleyball player and captain and when her team was in the nationals (just like every year), they unexpectedly lost. Instead of coming in 1st like always, they were placed 2nd. She was quite bummed out and sad, especially since she's the captain she thinks her advice and guidance wasn't enough. So when they comfort and hug her, she just breaks down and cries it all out. She's quite the introvert and prefers to keep her feelings and thoughts to herself, so they were quite surprised when she's crying. it's actually partly his fault that she suddenly breaks down because he pulls her aside and tells her "there's no need to hold back"

when she starts sobbing, he's thrown for a loop because it's a bigger reaction than he had been expecting

he pulls her into a hug and starts gently shushing her, apologizing for triggering the reaction but knowing it was ultimately needed

Kuroko: Despite already knowing that you liked him back as much as he liked you, it was still nerve wracking for Kuroko to even consider confessing his feelings — verbally, at least. He ends up writing notes to you and sticking them in places he knows you will find. Instead of responding verbally back, you wind up doing the same. For months, the two of you play this little back and forth penpal game, each note getting sappier than the last. Until one day...

"____-san," Kuroko calls out to you. He has a letter in hand, holding it out for you to take. It was the first time he was handing one to you directly. When you open it up, there's a single sentence written in his messy penmanship. "Will you go out with me?"

Kagami: He would have thought knowing that you reciprocated his feelings would make things better, but it actually has quite the opposite affect on Kagami. Suddenly, he's over-analyzing every little thing he does around you. Did you like the way he laughed? The way he spoke? The way he ate? What was it about himself you found so charming? He wondered if you thought the same things about yourself and all the things about you that he also found so alluring.

His overthinking actually ends up ruining the mood for a while, because he tends to avoid things that cause him to overthink — unless it's basketball. It isn't until you confront him one day about his wishy-washiness that he blurts out, "It's because I like you, okay?!"

Kise: The very same day Kise realizes that you like him back is the day that he decides he wants to ask you out officially. There's only one problem with his plan: he's been asking you out all this time, but you always mistook it for jokes on his end. He supposed all the experience he had with dating and all the relationships he went through while being friends with you was his downfall, because it must've made you compare yourself to everyone else.

"____cchi, please, just one actual date," he begs after yet another playful rejection from you. He was determined. "I promise, it's not a joke or anything and it's not just a hang out between friends. I'm being serious with you, believe me!"

Aomine: There are suddenly a lot more teasing smiles thrown your way once he realizes your feelings for him are the same as his own for you. Aomine never tells you he likes you back in the beginning, instead deciding to tease you for just a bit longer for your crush on him. Every opportunity he gets to fit it into a conversation, he will. It always brings him a sense of pride to see how easily he can get you to fluster just from calling you out over it.

"Aww, no need to get so shy when I'm around," he'd drawl, leaning down to get closer to your face. "Unless... what? You like me? Well, of course you do. It's me, after all." Even you weren't safe from his cockiness.

Midorima: He's not the type to beat around the bush once he figures out what he wants and he ends up devising a plan to confess to you the next time he sees you. However, putting plans into action are often a lot harder than devising them and Midorima finds himself more nervous than he'd expected standing in front of you. He almost wants to abort — why was it so hard? He already knew you liked him back, so it shouldn't be that difficult.

But, of course, one of the reasons he fell for you was your perceptiveness to his feelings and when you tell him you think you know the reason for him calling you to meet with him, he's relieved. "I'm grateful you understand and... I hope you accept my feelings."

Murasakibara: Things seem to happen between the two of you despite never being talked about. You never formally confess your feelings to Murasakibara and he never really does the same, but even still the two of you grow closer and end up doing a lot of things together that people would associate as normal couple behavior: sharing food, walking places together, meeting every weekend. It's comfortable and easy.

Which is why he almost feels bad when he asks you one day, "____-chin, what are we?" It wasn't a question he expected himself to ask and one you definitely didn't expect to hear, but he's relieved when your answer aligns similarly with his own.

Akashi: Perhaps he knew from the beginning that the two of you would end up falling for each other, because Akashi had always had a soft spot for you. His actions before realizing your feelings for him don't differ from his actions prior; he still treats and respects you as an equal he wants to spend most of his time with. Of course, he doesn't jump straight into a relationship with you. He wants to be 100% sure his feelings are reciprocated.

"I hope I'm not being presumptuous when I say I think we feel similarly for each other," he tells you one day, the hand holding onto yours stroking a gentle thumb across your skin. "I hope you would allow me to opportunity to be more to you."

Kuroko: In his early years of learning how to play basketball, Kuroko actually got hit in the face a lot. A low presence on court often makes for a surprisingly easy target when a teammate thinks he's passing the ball to someone else. Because of his experience with it, his reaction to being hit isn't too dramatic. Holding onto his nose, he walks over to the bleachers and asks to sit for a while.

"Just going to take a short break before I get back in."

Kagami: The ball bounces away from him and the gym seems to go quiet. It doesn't last for long however, as Kagami immediately starts yelling at whoever threw the ball. It would be rather scary if it weren't for the fact his nose was bleeding, causing his voice to sound just a little off. It takes a sharp jab to his side to have him calming down enough to get his face checked out.

"Watch where you're throwing next time, fucking hell!"

Kise: "No! I can't afford to have a broken nose!"

His hands are immediately on his face, holding on to his nose when he suddenly feels the small trickle of blood. Panic sets in and Kise is quick to run to his bag, searching for his phone, a mirror, anything he could use to look at his reflection. He ends up asking his teammates to check on his nose for him, afraid of the results, but ultimately relieved when they tell him nothing seems crooked or out of place.

Aomine: "What the hell man, are you even looking where you're throwing?!"

His voice is full of annoyance as he feels the bridge of his nose for any damage. He'd actually been into the game, feeling like he was on a good streak during practice, but getting hit in the face with a basketball completely ruined that mood. Now all he wants to do is go lay on the bleachers and have a long nap. Good thing getting hit gave him the perfect excuse to do so.

Midorima: The first thing he does is remove his glasses to check up on them — a replacement pair would be expensive, and he didn't want to dip into his personal savings for new ones. He tries to glare at whoever threw the ball, but it's a little hard with how bad his eyesight is without his glasses on. Thankfully, nothing is broken, including his face, and the incident is just a minor annoyance for him.

"Seems luck was on my side today, at least."

Murasakibara: "Are you serious...? Man, I don't want to do this anymore."

He's quick — or as quick as he can be with his usual bumbling gait — to go sit down on the bleachers, not feeling up to practicing anymore. Normally this would earn Murasakibara a few choice words from his older teammates, but they can all see the way he keeps rubbing at his face, muttering quiet 'ow's to himself. He doesn't verbalize it, but he's grateful for the break they give him.

Akashi: The gym goes quiet once everyone realizes exactly who was just hit. All eyes are on Akashi. He lets out a slow, deep breath, hand moving up to his nose to make sure nothing was out of place. Pinching his eyes shut, he takes another deep breath to compose himself. When he opens them again, he stares directly at the teammate who threw the ball, expression unreadable.

"Let's continue with practice, shall we?"

Getting him to agree with your idea was a lot simpler than you thought it would be. Kuroko is quick to love the idea, thinking that his beloved sport was the type that got better the more people enjoyed it. It also helped that his team was already comprised of a diverse group of students all at varying levels – you’d fit in perfectly. That, and he was already beginning to fantasize about the secret passes and combos he could perfect with you. There was something about playing with someone he was so in tune with, like he could practically read your mind, that enticed him.

Kagami: “Yeah, that would be great!”

Kagami doesn’t really think things through when he tell you that joining his team would be a good idea – he loved basketball, you loved basketball; he didn’t see a problem. It wasn’t until you were on court with him, playing in an actual game where all of his teammates’ and opponents’ eyes were on you, that he began to see the issue. His brows would furrow and his eye would twitch. You were one hell of a distraction, not only to everyone around, but to him as well. He couldn’t stop staring at the way you played!

Kise: “You sure that’s a good idea?”

There were many reasons why Kise wasn’t sure having you join his team would be a good one, ranging from his more lecherous teammates to his more violent ones. There was also the fact he would be nervous about you witnessing just how long his fans waited for him during practice – though he swore he never entertained their fangirling! He spends a lot of time trying to convince you to make a team of your own instead, saying he’d even join in on practices if that’s what you wanted. But when you’re adamant about joining his, he sighs in defeat. The next problem: getting Kasamatsu to talk to you.

Aomine: “Eh? You think you can keep up?”

There’s a cocky smirk on his face when you ask about joining his team. Before any teasing remarks can leave his lips, you elaborate by saying you wanted to join the actual team, not become some secondary manager or cheerleader. It has Aomine’s smirk dropping into a frown and he scratches the back of his head at the thought. He couldn’t exactly just let you onto the team – that was the captain’s and coach’s job – but he’d play with you before and, while you hadn’t won against him yet, he supposed he could be a good reference for you if you needed one.

Midorima: “You’d certainly be easier to work with than other certain individuals…”

At first, Midorima didn’t give much thought to your request – he wasn’t the captain, so he couldn’t reasonably make those calls – but then he really got to thinking about it. He already knew he worked well with you in every aspect outside of basketball, so if you skillset was up to par, he was sure the two of you would be an unstoppable team. That, and the thought of replacing a certain loud mouth teammate with someone he actually enjoyed the presence of was too much of an enticing tradeoff for him to ignore.

Murasakibara: “You don’t need to play on a team if you just want to play with me.”

Of course, Murasakibara thinks your only motivation for asking was to get closer with him, but when you explain that you’d like the full experience of being on a team, he’s only somewhat stumped. Having only recently admitted to himself how fun basketball could be when played together, he understood that part of your motivation. What he couldn’t wrap his head around was why you wanted to be on his team specifically, considering most of his teammates were more than just a little… strange… in the presence of a cute girl.

Akashi: “You’ll have to work hard if you’d like to join my team.”

Akashi doesn’t completely blow off your request like you initially thought he would, but he doesn’t hand you a position on the team right away either. You already knew that he kept his group to a high caliber, so to join the Rakuzan team would require exceptional skills. He gives you achievable goals to work with so you can better yourself on and off the courts. He may even practice with you from time to time. Despite the achievement it would be to actually get on the team, he never once makes you feel like the feat is impossible.

Hanamiya: “You think just because I’m captain and coach, I’d just let you in? Think again.”

He’s almost mocking in the way he makes fun of your request. Despite having dated him for a while, Hanamiya did little to sugarcoat his words with you. With his team’s rough playing style and knack for bending the rules, he didn’t think you would be a right fit. If you kept insisting, he might give you a spot on the team out of faux pity, but he would never let you out onto the court. It would cause a big argument between the two of you where he eventually lets out that he doesn’t want you on the team , not because he doesn’t think you’re good enough, but because he doesn’t want you to get hurt.

Haizaki: “Aww, wouldn’t that be cute?”

He misunderstands at first and thinks that you want to be the team’s – his – personal cheerleader. When you correct him, saying you wanted to play on the court with him, Haizaki reminds you of just how cocky he could be sometimes. The laugh he gives you in response is short, like he’s laughing at the mere thought of you playing basketball at the same level as him. He doesn’t doubt your ability to play in a game; he just doesn’t think you’re at the level he and his team are at. Maybe if you could beat him in a one-on-one, he could try to pull some strings.
