*after the Raging Riptides confrontation*
Lily: Will Root be okay?
Lil Coding, shining his spear: She won't be when I find her.
----
Tulip: It’s like riding a bike or severe childhood trauma.
Tulip: You never really lose it.
----
Vitality: Can we talk about something else and stop talking about dresses and nine inch heels?
Sparks: No. We’re gonna talk about them because while wearing those very things, you leaped over this bar counter, sprinted down an alley, and jumped off a car to subdue someone like you were Wonder Woman.
----
*everyone arguing*
Meggy: If you need me, I'll be right here doing the "Glad I'm an only child dance."
----
Ash: Oh my god, you’re rich.
Tulip: No. My parents were rich.
Ash: So? They'll be considered legally dead in a year.
----
Luigi: Are you through with your shenanigans?
Mario: Nope. I think I am going to shenan-again.
----
Bob: Boopkins, make some ocean noises so I can get to sleep.
Boopkins: Whoosh.
Bob: More like a French beach.
Boopkins: Le whoosh.
----
SMG3: If you're going to be happy in life, SMG4, you have to not care what people say about you. Like truly not care.
SMG3: That's what I keep trying to explain to the president on Twitter, but he blocked me.
----
Lumi: What exactly is our plan?
Leto: Use Root to injure her friends, free Ozymandias, kill Root, and then kill Ozymandias.
Lumi: I.. think that's not a plan. That's a wishlist.
----
Meggy: Wait, who are fighting?
Mario: Anyone who's not a primary color.
----
Domain: Wow, you talk a lot.
Forum: We’ve known each other for two decades, dating for thirteen of those years, and you're only just realizing this?
----
King Damien: Lumiere, how many people of you killed?
Lumiere: Like.. one?
Damien: Wimp… How about you, Fluerette? How many people?
Queen Fluerette: Thousands, many my own people...
Damien: YES! I knew I’d find a powerful ally eventually!
Lumiere: The hell..?

Introducing Kelsie, Vitality's new assistant and The Grid's new Adminspace Spy, in that order. The Yiga Emblem earrings are probably a bit of a risk for her cover, but carrying a little something related to her creator helps with the worst of her nerves.

i’ll get to this too, while i’m here:
• favorite feel-good show? – i haven’t been watching much tv in recent years, but i remember i really liked watching Adventure Time (before it got super real in later seasons). always made me feel really nice and, aside from SpongeBob, was a show i watched almost religiously. really felt i could just enjoy it when i was home
• what movie would you want to live in? – probably a Ghibli movie, i’ve loved the look of them when i was younger and still do. honestly the majority of them seem like such an escape from most realities (despite the realism in some of them considering how Miyazaki liked to implement realistic lessons, lifestyles & point of views). like gimme just 10 minutes gmdmf

Waaa... i’m so glad I got a few orders in for this month.. I definitely worried when all of the projects I’m in had to pause payments / delay starting or proceeding at the same time... it’s pure coincidence but it definitely had me sweating for a bit. I was relying on those to get me through the year.. But I’m glad it works out.
I was initially worried about. how it’s adding to my backlog so I decided to only take new commissions if it’s something I can quickly finish before end of November or latest first week December.. I wasn’t sure if I’ll get any, but i’m glad it worked out!
Tumblr media
now all that’s left..... is to finish them... I was going to take only 2 in but.. the customers all wanted 2 each so i’m definitely am not complaining.. it feels too good an opportunity to pass up. (And this is how I have backlogs LMFAO I”M SORRY...)
BUT not this time!! we can do this!! finish it and get it done and over with!! (and hopefully Paypal doesn’t take more than a day to send the money to me... i ..  i need this..  to pay bills.. please...)

I'm not sure if this is the end for the QSMP, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were shut down soon after this.
The eggs have been the lifeblood of the server since they were introduced, and having some of them permanently gone from the server is devastating for so many reasons, and bodes terribly for the future of this project. My optimism has run out. I will still wait for updates but I have no hope.
However, I wanted to write a piece for the community here on Tumblr. I know we're all very emotional right now, because while we have no confirmation that the QSMP will permanently close, we now have good reason to assume there might just be no other clear path out of this.
To the community:
Do not feel like you have to stop loving the server and everything it created. Do not stop creating art. Do not stop sharing why you loved the characters and the story and the world.
To completely boycott everything QSMP, you are discrediting the incredible work that the admins put into the server purely out of passion and the kindness of their hearts. Do not waste their sacrifices. Talk about the server and everything they did for it, give them recognition, let them know we love and appreciate all the time and care they poured into this project. Thank them by caring about their work that they put so much of themselves into.
To completely boycott everything QSMP, you are ignoring the beautiful friendships it created between content creators who otherwise would never have met, and the way it ignited such a fierce determination to learn about others' cultures in them. You are forgetting how much these streamers strived to tell engaging, relatable, fun stories, by themselves or with each other, and to have their fans talk about how much they liked their newest lore. You are refusing to acknowledge the effort put in by everyone on the project to tell amazing stories through the language barrier.
And to completely boycott the QSMP, you are denying yourself the fact that you loved this server; the eggs, the streamers, the stories, the cultural events, the laughter, the sadness, the friendships, the ship ships, the builds, the mods, the languages. You are part of this server for enjoying it's wonderful vitality and beauty and hilarity. As a community, we all are.
I have had my gripes with the QSMP fanbase, as anyone has gripes with the dysfunctional mad household they live in, but at the end of the day, I love it so much. This has been my first time actually being part of a fandom; interacting with people and sharing my art and my ideas, getting into silly debates and arguments, running my mouth off more than I should. I love this bizarre toxic fandom for all of it's worth; I love the fanfic writers (even if I think their characterisation is terrible), I love the fanartists (even if they give Pac those yellow scleras that always make me think of jaundice), I love the live bloggers (even if they clog up the main tag), I love the people who write analysis, the people who make animations and animatics, the people who webweave, and all the other things people in this fandom do to interact with the media we all collectively love and bond over.
We do not need to let this be the end of our community, as we can still share our admiration for the hard work put into this project, lift each other up, express praise where it is warranted.
And we can talk to each other, we can vent about how this has negatively effected us (provided we tag it appropriately 👁️👁️) and respond in kind to those seeking someone to speak to who relates.
The QSMP taught us the value of communication. While behind the scenes, it itself did not abide by it's own rules, we can. The QSMP itself is not the figurehead of communication; the content creators and the fans it sent this message to are. We can be an example of what the QSMP should have stood for.
I do not love the deeply flawed execution of the QSMP, but with my whole heart I love the idea; the ambition, the goal. It was noble. It, to some extent, worked.
It united communities.
Let it unite ours.

Femme Fatale Morning Routine: How To Start Your Day With Dark Feminine Energy
Rise in a matching pajama set or night dress. Indulge options made from silk, satin, lace, or cashmere in the colder months.
Wake up with a tall glass of water. Add lemon, if desired.
Vitalize your skin with a well-curated, short skincare routine that's perfect for your skin type and concerns (don't forget sunscreen).
Listen to music that awakens your body and spirit. Dance, EDM, or pop music are all great options. Look for 'happy,' 'productive,' or 'baddie' playlists for your enjoyment.
Brew a cup of luscious coffee or tea to energize your day.
Meditate for 5-10 minutes. Life becomes so much more effortless when you just breathe.
Write out your top 3 affirmations and goals. Bonus points for listing 3 things you're grateful for today.
If you have 10-20 minutes, read some text that inspires you or a couple of articles related to your industry or interests to get your brain powered up for the day.
Get dressed in an outfit that makes you feel your best. Try tailored trousers, your favourite jeans, silk skirt, button-down blouse, blazer, or a leather jacket for the office. A matching knit or cashmere set is perfect for WFH. Don't forget the accessories (slippers, too, if remote).
Perform your morning beauty ritual – makeup, hair, perfume. Find what works for you to help you feel confident and beautiful for the rest of the day.
Eat a wholesome, plant-based breakfast. Oatmeal with fruit and seeds, natural peanut butter, and avocado toast are all great options.
Review and revise your most important tasks, meetings, and to-do list for the day. Time block similar tasks and admin routines like email and updating spreadsheets.
Practice self-care and discipline to reap success. Once you master a routine that feels good, your desires and dream life become your destiny.

What're some hcs you have for your smg4 au characters? Like the ones you've made? (Forum, Abyssal, Lil Coding, etc etc!)
OH. SO MANY.
Forum and Domain are usually able to always know what the other is thinking. Typically, it's Domain stopping Forum from getting too into something.
Lil Coding freaked out when Lily stayed underwater for a while to scare him. He knew she had gills, but he didn't think that they were already working somewhat.
Cursor is somewhat always uneasy around Vitality, and this is because of the time I mentioned that Vitality nearly killed her. Long story short, Cursor was being her usual self, Vitality got very fed up, and when she visited the medic, Vitality very nearly just cut off her code.
Buffer usually plays poker with CPU.
Abyssal continues to fall asleep in the weirdest places. One time, she was under Umbra's desk.
Tartarus once got stuck in one of the labyrinths and spent way too long trying to figure out how to get out.
Olympus is banned from watching over Timmy's group whenever he's on patrol in the FOP universe. They always somehow manage to get him to cover for him whenever they do something wild.
Alyssa used to pine over Jayin.
"Are those hickeys on your neck?" ".. I got bit." ".. I can't even say anything." - CPU and Abyssal
Vitality has been on a few dates with Dale now. Tulip, after getting over the shock, is now more than elated that her uncle has found someone. Also, it means that hopefully, she'll get a good sleep schedule soon.

after barely a day of my poll being up it seems like so many people know about and really love natural history collections which makes my heart sing!! i would love for my fellow natural history nerds to rise up and sign this petition to protect one!!
duke university is CLOSING its herbarium which holds over 800,000 plant/fungus/algae specimens including 2,000 types spanning 180 years of collection effort all across the planet. it is the second largest private university herbarium in the entire united states. this is really bad!! i will explain in short terms:
every natural history collection's purpose is to collect and maintain specimens, which are collectively supposed to be a thorough representation of biodiversity across time and space. when sampled at regular intervals at the same places, specimens can tell endless stories about changes in shape, abundance, range, genetics, and SO much more. basically, they are a big sample size to use in all manner of studies, including those that concern climate change and biodiversity loss! new species and evolutionary relationships are constantly discovered at collections even when specimens are like 100 years old. duke has recently championed itself as a global leader in biodiversity research which is honestly in jawdropping conflict with its move to close its herbarium. this herbarium not only supplies duke researchers with material but researchers all over the world. specimens have been cited in over 46,000 publications and over 13,000 since 2019 alone. we have old shit in our cabinets but the science is anything but history!
faculty and staff have 2-3 years to move the specimens elsewhere which is NOT enough time for 800,000 old dried plant/fungus specimens. this is an issue in even the BEST natural history collections at the biggest institutions but collections are pretty much always understaffed and underpaid. a university collection usually relies a lot on student labor and you know they do not have the time to be contributing to this move. to find collections that would take these specimens AND allocate the manpower and time needed to send them off is not feasible. types, especially holotypes should really NEVER be transported because they serve as the exemplar for the characteristics of the species it represents. i do not feel good about hurrying 800,000 old, fragile specimens including 2,000 types getting moved in a short amount of time by a few people. i do not want to know what will happen to the remaining specimens that don't make it out in time.
this sets a really dangerous precedent for other university collections across the world. this is not a random state school, this is duke university, which is practically an ivy league. if they close such a prominent and respected collection just because they're not 260% maximizing their profits, it may let other greedy university admins know they can get away with the same. i've only been in the professional collections world for a short time but shutting down a collection let alone one as big as duke's is almost UNHEARD of. i haven't seen scientists band together so strongly and quickly over an issue (i'm in an ENTOMOLOGY collections listserv and someone advocated for emailing duke admin against this decision), probably because they can all agree on how strongly this could impact climate and biodiversity research and policymaking down the road.
tl;dr if duke herbarium really closes, we would be losing a vital hub for ongoing and future research that helps us understand how our world is changing through the dynamics of our plants and their allies. other institutions might see this and follow suit with their own collections.

Nintendo World Online
So I mentioned that after the hell that is the current string of arcs in general and the Project Thunder situation specifically most of the main cast are gonna be going on a fucking vacation! Because they both need and deserve one. And I've figured out where they'll be going for said vacation.
In recognition of their services to Literally Everyone Everywhere, they've been invited for an all-expenses-paid two-week stay in a Server that's made up entirely of a Nintendo-themed resort and amusement park. The invitation comes from the park's Admin, owner and founder: an iteration of Wario who somehow got elevated to a Code-Level Entity and worked his way up to mid-level Admin. You wouldn't think that he'd be willing to let anyone stay there for free, let alone the massive SMG-Adjacent guest list we're dealing with here (All the Avatars and SMGs, whoever from their respective crews and major side characters is interested, a few of the main Admins, maybe some of the Grid characters if invites can even get through to them, possibly some of the ponies given their part in taking down Ozymandias), but he owed Vitality several favors, plus hosting the heroes of the Multiverse is great for his public image.
Unlike the get-rich-quick schemes of his more basic counterparts, Admin Wario has invested a lot into the quality and longevity of Nintendo World Online, and it definitely shows. It's one of the most popular tourism-based servers on the 'net even with the expected hefty price tags, and prides itself on allowing any program, be they Code-Level, Character-Level, Virus, Firewall or Anomaly... as long as they make sure not to cause any trouble while they're there. It's one of the few Admin-run servers to be officially recognized as neutral territory, and the staff works hard to maintain that.

Tumblr media
According to Pomme's admin, there has been no indication that they are going to get paid. This, combined with the fact that the egg figurines will only be available for a limited amount of time:
Tumblr media
makes me unsure whether the money used from sales will go towards admin salaries (past or future). The only thing we have been told is that the money will go towards server costs (which, as far as a viewer is concerned, could be the infamous translation tool).
This is exactly what I was saying in the tags of my posts. It unfortunately makes sense that pomme's admin hasn't been contacted about payment yet, because, as it's been said multiple times, there are no current funds to pay her rn. If the eggs aren't back because there are no funds to pay the admins who still currently wish to be on the server, then there obviously aren't enough funds to pay back past work for any ex admins. It wouldn't make sense to ask pomme's admin about payment when she can't be payed rn. This would be another matter entirely if the qsmp was financially stable rn, which it isn't.
If the money made by the figurines goes to stuff like translator or server costs, then that is one less thing quackity has to worry about when it comes to expenses as that is vital to keep the server running and then he can start to figure out payments for past and current admins that wish to stay. Just because the money made by the figurines may not go directly into the admins bank accounts does not mean that this won't help them in the long run.
This does not mean that you are obligated to buy anything if you're not comfortable to, you have every right to simply decide not to for your own sake, but I think it's important to look at every angle critically because this situation is not black and white and requires a clear head. Thank you for the respectful ask and discussion!

🔥 no more empty inbox. Any hot takes on white collar employment, since iirc you changed jobs recently?
The average salaried white-collar employee contributes something like 1/4 of the labor-time they're ostensibly paid for to anything that actually produces value for their employer. This utter lack of efficiency is in one sense a sort of parasitism of your employer (and if your job produces actual social value, society at large), and on the other is absolutely vital to a the properly dignified and autonomous life.
Also, fake-seeming admin/pure bureaucracy work is absolutely vital to keeping any project of more than like three people running. Like, not 'running smoothly', just progressing at all.
