Comic 1:

First panel, Ingo and Akari are standing together. Someone off-screen asks “oh, is that your dad?”. Akari has an awkward smile and replies “oh, no no. he’s my...” There’s a long pause as she looks at Ingo. He’s leaving it up to her. She finishes, “He’s my coworker... friend... guy.” In smaller font, she continues “yea. that.” Comic 2: A dramatic panel of Volo, looking pissed off, shouting “who are you to interfere?!!” Ingo tugs the brim of his cap lower. The upper half of his face is in shadow, while his eyes stand out. He looks threatening but has his expression is his characteristic neutral-frown, and he says “...I’m her coworker friend guy.”. In the final panel, Machoke is throwing an incredible amount of punches, a reference to Star Platinum from Jojo. Ingo is pointing with one hand, his battle pose. The background text reads, “What does that even mean??” Volo is experiencing off-screen violence.

Comic 3: The comic is titled “Reunion”. In the first panel, Ingo shows off Akari, with a faint smile on his face. She is labelled “best girl (assigned by god)”. He says, “Emmet, this is Akari, my coworker. She’s the reason I was able to return to this station.” In smaller font, Akari comments to herself, “ooh... so this is the man in white.”

In the second panel, in smaller font Ingo notes “I think I remember now...” He says, “Akari, this is Emmet. He's also my coworker.” Coworker is underlined. Emmet is crying in the background, looking confused, conflicted, distressed, and happy. He says, “Brother...?” In the final panel, we see a framed photograph of all three together. Underneath are the words, Employee of the Month. Akari is dressed as a depot agent, and she and Ingo pose with peace signs. Emmet is red faced from crying, but he’s smiling widely. He looks happy.

Akari and Rei were the ones sent to the Heartwood – being the most adept with Pokemon, outside of Captain Zisu of the Security Corps, they were the last option for dealing with Kleavor that didn’t involve a more forceful manner of approach.

Warden Lian met them at Lord Kleavor’s arena, Goomy slinking around his feet as he set about organizing offerings on a dish, and he looked up at them in confusion.

“What do you mean, you’re here to handle Kleavor?” he said incredulously, instinctively tensing as if ready to fight. “One of you Surveyors already quelled him.”

They blinked, first at the child and then at each other.

The young Warden plucked up the dish and nodded at them to follow as he stepped around the alter and into the arena.

There, an absolutely massive Kleavor chirped at them from the branches before leaping down to land in front of the three of them.

The Kleavor – the same Noble they were sent to deal with – ground out a grumble at the twins before leaning down to nudge Lian’s hat and pluck at the offering, gargantuan axes lowered and held harmlessly to the sides.

“He’s completely calm,” Warden Lian said, gesturing at his Noble. “I don’t know why you came.”

“Because he – he was frenzied, wasn’t he?” Akari said, utterly baffled, her Cherubi squeaking merrily as it tottered around Lian’s Goomy.

“He was – but I told you, that other Surveyor quelled him.”

“Nobody from the Survey Corps has been here since last week,” Rei said.

Lian frowned at that, patting the side of Lord Kleavor’s face.

“He passed by a few days ago," the boy said. "Silver hair, silver eyes with weird gold around the pupils? I thought he was with you.”

After Ukyo is finally introduced to Akari she stops Ryoga and is says “Wow, your girlfriend is really nice, considerate, and cute. I really like her and I’m happy for you. By the way though, have you ever noticed that she looks and acts exactly like Ranma in disguise?” And Ryoga is responds “SHE ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT” and Akane is like “no i see it”

Immortal Modern Volo except his brain is still a normal human brain so he doesn’t actually REMEMBER a whole lot of the shit that happened 200 years ago. Like, he remembers the basic facts. He tried to destroy the world, some girl named Akari came around, stopped him, yada yada yada. 

So in modern times, he meets this girl named Hikari/Dawn and like. Does not realize that she’s Akari. Because he totally forgot what Akari looked like. She had dark hair? Maybe? Whatever.

Hikari/Dawn keeps getting into some major shit for whatever reason so Volo, being a nosy little weirdo, follows her around for adventures. 

He only realizes, long after he’s gotten emotionally attached to this little ten year old, standing in front of the portal Giratina left behind after snatching Cyrus, who said little ten year old is.

He doesn’t remember how old Akari was when she got kidnapped by Arceus and thrown back in time, and now he’s constantly on edge and ridiculously overprotective.

All joking aside a fic about Akari having a slip of the tongue in front of Ingo would be interesting. For their reactions alone and especially Ingo trying to process the situation. They both care for each other but I think it would still crash his brain a little realizing how much she cares for him. And Akari being embarrassed since she’s worried about overstepping a line.

(OR if we take the Uncle route he might have a brief memory of Drayden and/or Emmet and him spending time with him on top of his brain crashing)

I do have a WIP that actually focuses on this same thing; it involves Ingo and Akari at the Jubilife Festival at the end of the game. (And it’s either going to explain why Ingo’s not in the photo, or ignore it and say he’s in there. I haven’t decided yet)

It came from a few requests, and I’ve been sitting on it for a while because I’m struggling with the dialogue, but it does deal with Akari initially calling him an uncle (a few times) at the festival, before admitting to seeing him like a very close family member in private. Lots of hugs to follow haha

I can’t remember when I started the WIP initially, but I know this drawing I did influenced it a lot!

thinking about the roleswap AU... Warden Akari teaching Ingo to freehand climb cliffs like Lady Sneasler taught her. Sure, it’s not like super safe, but it might save his life one day in a pinch!! You can never be too cautious here in Hisui, where Alpha Pokemon could suddenly appear one day in a place they’ve never been before! She knows she’s grateful for the skill, so she’s sure Ingo will be too!

Of course, this has unintended consequences later when they get back to the future, and Drayden finds out about his eldest nephew’s new, totally unsafe skill. He asks where he picked it up from, and Ingo happily informs him that Aunt Akari was the one who taught him.

Akari’s not even in the room. She’s in her own apartment, grooming her Luxray. And yet somehow, she can already sense the storm coming...

My Akari’s Pokémon Team is made up of Decidueye, Staraptor, Luxray, Zoroark, Lucario and Sylveon. :3 I gave each of her Pokémon personalities and kinda feel like sharing them with you guys. I’ll start with her first Pokémon.

Decidueye is a very timid, shy and nervous Pokémon. That usually likes to hide behind her trainer. She doesn’t like getting out of her comfort zone, and being put into situations she’s not comfortable in. Unlike most Pokémon, she’s actually pretty scared of battles. Sometimes freezes stiff due to fear while in one. I like to head canon that Akari actually lost the first battle by the gate with Volo because of this. Decidueye isn’t very confident in her abilities, since she’s the weakest in the team, but Akari likes to encourage her.

Staraptor has a very quirky, reckless and confident personality. Unlike Decidueye, he LOVES Pokémon battles and wants to take part in each one. Sometimes doesn’t listen to Akari’s orders when he thinks another move would work better. He can also be a little reckless, and try to pull off a move to impress everyone. If it works, he often brags about it. Would literally charge at a legendary Pokémon without giving it much thought. He hasn’t attempted it yet, but everyone knows he would. He also likes to make jokes occasionally to brighten everyone’s mood if he can.

Luxray is very lax and carefree, though she can also be a little lazy. Her favorite hobby is sleeping, and she’ll sleep whenever she gets the chance. Pokémon battling isn’t her favorite thing, but she’ll do it if she has to and can be surprisingly fast and sharp then. Luxray has a way with calming other members of the team down whenever situations look grim. Since she can remain calm even if everyone else isn’t. It’s hard to provoke her, but if anyone succeeds she can be pretty fierce.

Zoroark has a mischievous, sly and trouble-making personality. He loves to either scare or prank the members of the team. He even does pranks on Akari and her friends. His pranks are harmless, but Lucario would scold him if she thinks he went a little to far with one. When that happens he’d apologize but it wouldn’t be long till he does another prank like it. When he’s not pulling pranks on people or Pokémon, he usually seen hanging out with Luxray (she one of the only ones that isn’t to bothered or annoyed by his jokes).

Lucario is the strongest member of Akari’s team. She’s very protective, responsible, and kind of acts like the mother to the team. She’s very mature, and likes to keep the team together and solve conflicts between them. One of the reasons why she’s so good at Pokémon battles is because she usually always strategizes and changes her technique depending on what she can read from her opponent. Another fun fact about her is that she is actually the sibling to Volo’s Lucario (Volo actually gave her to Akari when she was a Riolu. I have a little backstory for that).

Sylveon is actually a boy (which is ironic for the evolution he evolved into). Usually very sarcastic and grumpy. Wearing a little scowl on his face most of the time unless if something makes him feel another stronger emotion. He gets annoyed easily, and tends to snap at whatever provoked him. But despite being a little cold and unfriendly, he actually does care about the other members of the team. He just wouldn’t show it outwardly. If something happened, he would fight to keep his friends safe from harm.

So-

I was wondering since Legends first launched if the characters would appear in Masters and here's two of them. Had to wait a year but if I remember correctly it took a little over a year after Sword and Shield came out before Gloria (first Galar character) to be added into Masters.

Now that we know for sure that Legends characters will be added, there's a lot of stuff I'd like to know. Once such thing is how they handle Warden Ingo. I doubt it'll be too angsty, this is Pokemon after all. But it would be interesting if someone looked at the Warden, then at the Subway Bosses and went '!!!'

Another curiosity is which Legends protag will Dena make the kid summoned by Arceus and who'll be Laventon's assistant. Dena has a habit of making one of each pair of protags the 'actual' protagonist. Maybe Adaman and Irida's story could imply which one's which.

Also, seeing as Adaman and Irida are in masters, here's to hoping that they could get Sygna suits + pair up with Origin Dialga and Palkia. it'd be fitting seeing as Adaman and Irida are outright able to communicate with their respective deity.

Plus there's the possibility that whichever Legend protag's the sky faller, they could form a Sync pair with Arceus. Could be super OP, not gonna lie, but it would be pretty cool to have God available. (Especially if Volo's added around that time. Imagine how pissed he'd be if he saw the kid he tried to kill once not only achieve his dream of meeting Arceus but actually got to form a sync pair with it)

Wouldn't it be fun if Emmet wound up staying in Hisui for a few years longer than he did in WtST, and then went home with Akari and Rei in tow only for an angry Legendary to interfere with their space-time hop, rip them apart from each other, and have them all end up in different areas of Unova?

And Unova is frozen because the World's Best Worst Parent Figure, Ghetsis Harmonia, actually managed to take the region and went full snowblower on it with Kyurem?

And Ingo is just trying to help people get out of the region or shelter them in the tunnels -- and also not just collapse from exhaustion because he's working himself to the bone trying to keep hidden but still do things -- when this weirdly-dressed girl falls out of thin air, calls him a Zoroark, beans him in the face with a Pokeball, and falls over?

Yeah, doesn't that sound fun?

Also I want Kyurem to get body-checked by Emmet's absolute unit of a Garchomp. Just for fun.

Okay but like @betasuppe got me thinking of Champion Emmet & Zoroakari crossover and got me considering that whenever Emmet ended up going to the past, Akari had been a Zoroark for a minute so it’s just this like. Open secret that people tend to Know- yeah, Akari, the survey kid, she died and became a Zoroark! Everybody knows that! That Zoroark is Akari! Full stop! It’s not hot gossip anymore, nobody brings up pre-murder Akari. Sure, people give the Zoroark the stink-eye every now and then, but hey. Stranger danger! People probably give Emmet the stink-eye too!

So everyone knows except Emmet, who wasn’t around to meet pre-murder Akari and therefore, the only Akari he knows IS the Zoroark-Akari, whom he only ever sees as a Zoroark. Maybe he doesn’t think anything of it, given the Zoroarks he knew in Unova, and just kind of goes with “yeah, that’s Ingo’s daughter who’s a pokemon, okay. Kind of weird, but okay.” Maybe he does think about it and doesn’t ask, or if he tries to ask "so how did you get a zoroark for a daughter" he gets a non-answer of "I took care of her and we bonded :)" or something. 

Until he like. Sees a photo of pre-Zoroark Akari with Ingo, or finds her talking to Ingo in her human illusion. But either way Ingo and Akari are both around and he goes, “Who’s the girl in the photo?” or “Who’s this kid?” and there’s an awkward silence of oh, right. He doesn’t know. And either Ingo or Akari has to drop the bomb of “fun fact: Akari got murdered and came back as a pokemon" 

Just- his reaction of finding out "yeah she used to be human but then someone killed her and she came back as a zoroark and Shit Happened :( but at least she's alive!"  fjdsakflasd

(and then of course, the next bomb dropped (later) is "also she's killed someone before" xD)
