once eddie realises he is queer and has feelings for buck (if that’s where the story is going which i feel like it is) i want eddie to come out to buck last.

because buck will be understandably upset as to why his best friend in the whole world wouldn’t be comfortable coming out to him. then we get this whole angsty episode before buck snaps and confronts eddie.

I want Buddie to happen just as much as the next person does but I would really really love if abc didn’t just rush them to be together in this season. There are only ten episodes. I just keep imagining that season 7 ends with a domestic Buddie scene—sitting down on the couch together sipping beer watching a movie with Chris. That could very well lead up to a kissing moment (hence very lovely blushy Ryan Guzman) and he (Eddie) literally wakes up on the couch, dazed and confused. Going “oh my god, I’m in love with Buck.”

Season eight could continue on as Eddie Diaz is a good catholic Mexican guy. I think he will have lots of emotions and hardships accepting those feelings, and also being like yah it’s so easy to love Buck. He’s been doing it for years. Mr.I-put-you-in-the-will. Can’t get any more heart eyes than that tbh.

Of course I’m such a big fan of pining, and this man has been pining forever even if he doesn’t realize it (Thank you Ryan). I would just appreciate a knowing he’s in love pining.

Something we should talk about more is how inherently good Buck is. He was not born that way, he raised himself that way. Yeah he matured a lot with the 118 and his found family. But his niceness comes from himself. His crazy selfless bravery to save everyone. His genuineness in helping someone. His kindness in always thinking about the people around him. He just gives out help without someone having to ask for it. It's not easy to be someone like Buck when all life's done is screw you over. Even Connor talks about what a good person Buck was in college and that was before the 118. Buck has flaws but at the core of it, he's simply good. He's the kind of good that makes you want to confront a bomber to save him. He's the kind of good who makes you want to put him down as the legal guardian for your son if you dies. He's the kind of good where you sit by his bedside and pray he makes it. The kind of good that makes you pump his heart back to life with your own hands. The kind where you make unethical decisions like holding him back from work for. The kind where even though he lost your son in a tsunami you know he never gave up once and you'll never ever hold it against him ever. Like Bobby said, even out of the uniform, Buck will always save people because that's who he is. Good.

I’m fairly ambivalent on Jily as a whole (most of my interest in the Marauders-era is for Sirius), but I have to admit, I kind of like the idea that James starts dating Lily and once it’s clear it’s serious and important to the both of them, Sirius just welcomes Lily into their group, into Sirius’s family (nobody can convince me Sirius didn’t use his friends as his family, especially once he left Grimmauld and got disowned). If James loves her and she loves James, then she’s family and Sirius will welcome her with open arms. Plus, I headcanon Lily as the kind of person who gets real snarky when she’s comfortable with someone and Sirius, frequently described as haughty and arrogant and who has the vibe of another snarky and sharp-tongued character, adores having a partner is snark; RIP anyone who gets on both of their bad sides, verbal evisceration is an understatement for what happens to them. Also, it’s funny to imagine that Sirius likes to aggravate James by saying Lily is his favorite Potter once they marry, because he’s just like that, even though everyone knows James is his absolute favorite person (I saw someone else say that, but Tumblr’s search function is terrible and I can’t find it anymore, hopefully I’ll find it soon). Plus, he and Lily both understand the whole “my sibling is a horrible person, they hate me, but I can’t help but love them regardless, because for years we were each other’s closest friends and I will never be able to forget all our history” thing, which is something the others, as only children, can never truly understand. But anyways, I just really like to think that once Sirius knows the Jily relationship is important to James and Lily, and James won’t get his heart shattered, he’s immediately accepting Lily into their little group. Biggest surprise at Hogwarts was when other students saw Sirius and Lily talking in Seventh Year because Sirius only really talks to James, Remus, and Peter; there’s the time some other kid insulted Lily and it turns out Sirius has a unique ability to tear someone apart with words alone and without ever raising his voice

dude, the way we’re literally on the same wavelength with this. i’ve talked about this in a couple older posts before, but i genuinely think s & l are so similar (and i have a very barebones prongsfoot fic in my drafts where j&s never meet and sirius is best friend w lily based off this exact assumption) and once they get let all the the awkwardness and problems, they’d be really good friends ykno? (it’s another reason why a triad works but not a s/l couple which is a random tangent lol)

and like. yeah. lily is accepted into sirius’ inner circle (lol) but imo, that only happens after he’s fully confirmed that she’s not here to hurt his james. that is the most important bit. i’ve kinda included this in shovel talk but i feel like, as canon stands, sirius would put her thru the wringer to make sure she’s good enough before he fully accepts her. and once he does, he’s all in. no questions asked.

and of course, james is in heaven. his two favourite people ever getting baking as well as they do, sometimes at the expense of his own self? he can’t be happier.

Headcanon: Father

Dr. Evan Rowe was an average, drab-looking man. Eccentric and determined, but somewhat quiet and shy. He was ALWAYS overworked and sleepless, much preferring to bury himself in work, and co-workers would swear to the end of time that the frown of worry etched onto his face was permanent. But, as odd as he might have been, he had a calling... A natural TALENT for toxicology that no one could write-off.

And it was that talent which sealed his fate.

The women of the Locke family search for specific talents to breed into future generations; and after Evan's work lead to the creation of an antidote against the toxins of a particularly nasty plant, it wasn't long until this achievement caught the attention of the Locke matriarch: Rena. Seeking to see if a possible heir could be made with a passion for poisons that rivaled her own, she 'paired' her daughter Donna with Evan; and sent her out on a mission to seduce him, and see this 'experiment' through. With little experience in the whims of love, the toxicologist fell and fell hard, for the carefully-constructed mask that Donna made to do this.

They never married, but his eventual daughter was the very light of his life. Evan only held her a few times, before work required him to take an extensive international trip; and it all but ruined him when news of her sudden 'death' was given whilst on this trip. SIDs, he was told, but the truth he would eventually come to discover, was much more sinister. Two years later they would try again, only for Donna to disappear without word or reason once they found-out they were now having a boy.

That is until some years later, when pure chance allowed him to catch sight of his lost 'love' in the background of a news event taking place in a town in Oregon... With a young girl. Emotions run high, he left right away, determined to get some answers; to find Donna and their son, and the little girl who looked all-too suspiciously like him.

He was never seen again.

I was just about to make a post that said something like 'Eliza Scarlet and Inspector Wellington wish they had what Bobby Jones and Lady Frances Derwent have,' but the truth is they still have a looooonnnggg ways to go before they're actually to the point of actively desiring to work as an effective a team, instead of turning very single one of their interactions into either a competition or an opportunity to pointlessly take offense at the other (and most often, both at once).
