i think one of the most interesting things about odile is her aversion to the concept of motherhood/mothers/being referred to as a mother. like clearly she is not adversed to being a guardian and clearly she feels love and protectiveness over the party, and for all her aloofness when things are Horribly wrong she is the most astute to detail (i.e. first to notice siffrin looping during family routes, comments on his shaking and trembling when he first breaks down in front of her in act 5, The Entirety of The Sus Route) she is objectively protective of the party ("to be honest, i would do anything for you guys. horrible things.")

but her mother ruined such a deep sense of trust in her by cutting off from her entirely. like she not only deprived odile of such a key connection to half her culture which then became a dividing point from the culture she does know because she stood out so much in ka bue, but just... was she not deserving of a loving mother? did she deserve to be left behind? so much so that her mother couldn't even do her the courtesy of leaving a few photos, or letters, or a diary--ANYTHING to prove she was real and loved odile for even a second? breaking her father's heart in the process, and forcing him to carry the weight of child-rearing meant to be done by 2 people? hurting him so much so that when odile would ask about her mom, he's never been able to go into detail at all? and even after all this time, this late into her life, it is still a burn in her skin that hurts. it is a cut there that she doesnt always acknowledge and thought she'd gotten over, but no, it has always hurt at least a little bit. and tbh i headcanon her as someone who doesnt want kids regardless of trauma or past experiences (similarly to how romantic relationships just arent a priority for her and she clearly has other personal goals that are much more important--slay!) but like her mother deciding to absolutely fuck off from her life absolutely did not help and i think part of her is hurting and part of her is afraid of ever being capable of causing that pain to someone else and the commitment secretly terrifies her a little.

(A/N - basically just a list of random little details and scenarios about them, no huge spoilers tho)

AFFECTION:

- I cannot imagine Visenya being a pyschically affectionate person unless she’s with somebody who is very pyschically affectionate. (then she’ll just accept and deal with it)

- Aegon on the other hand, I cannot imagine him leaving her alone for a second (once they’re married that is) he will NOT waste an opportunity to have hold of her in some way.

- if anyone is even slightly flirty towards Visenya, Aegon WILL drag her out in the middle of the feast to cover her neck in hickeys, just to prove a point I guess??? (also cause he’s too big of a p*ssy to actually say anything to the guy)

- Visenya thinks pda is the most disgusting thing ever and will only hold Aegon’s hand at most, meanwhile he’ll grab and kiss her with zero shame. (and gets smacked for it)

“DUTIES”:

- Aegon thinks his only duty is to get Vis pregnant and that’s that but whenever she gets dragged to a small council meeting, so does he. (emotional support yk)

- Visenya overthinks and panics about wether she’ll be a good queen and Aegon’s thinks a good way to reassure her is by saying “if I can rule without it all completely going to shit you’ll be fine”.

- whenever the small council decides to start pressing Visenya about when she’ll have kids, Aegon’s first thought of defence is to ask if they underestimate his “ability’s”. (Rhaenyra is banging her head on the table as we speak)

- whenever Aegon actually has duties he needs to attend to, Visenya finds it incredibly amusing to try and distract him, watching him struggle to keep focus while she simply sits next to him in a slightly revealing dress. (sometimes she’ll end up sitting in his lap, just to frustrate him further, but he’s practically already melting in her hands by that point)

- Visenya tries to take her duties seriously, wanting to be genuinely respected, buts it’s slightly difficult when most will just ask after Aegon (as if he’s anymore serious then her) but he’ll find a way to divert the question back to Vis, finding it insanely attractive when she goes all serious, political mode AND has thought about doing it on the council table numerous times. (It’s Aegon want do you except)

SMUTTIE THINGS: (nothing to graphic cause otherwise ill throw my phone across the room)

- horniest mfs in Westeros, zero exaggeration, the servants of SICK of them.seriously, lock em in a room together for a few days and they’ll reinstate the targs.

- Vis tops Aegon’s 90% of the time. (no explanation needed, that mf is lazy asf about everything he does)

- Aegon tries to suggest doing it in the most OUT OF POCKET places ever, and of course immediately gets shut down, though he’s definitely convinced Visenya to sit on the throne whilst he…yk, at least once.

- Aegon 100% is constantly turned on by pregnant Vis or even just the idea of it. (dare I need to explain??)

- the poor handmaids have never had a day of peace, with Aegon constantly ripping the buttons or material of Visenya’s dress. (and she has to come up with horrible excuses as to how it magically ripped.)

- Aegon finds its incredibly amusing to try and see how far he can slid his hand up Visenya’s thigh, under a table at a feast or dinner, just to see how long she can stay concentrated. (It never works and he folds immediately whenever its vice versa)

PREGNANCY/KIDS:

- pregnant Visenya is the grumpiest/angriest mf to ever exist. (to the point Aegon has to drag her away and make her calm down over the littlest thing)

- ^^ my girl just wants to eat, dragon ride and sleep (she had an absolute fit/breakdown when the maester told her she couldn’t ride while prego)

- Aegon gets caught lacking way more often. (he’s not an a$$ man if you know what I mean 👀)

- Visenya’s terrified of labour (for obvious reasons) but if it ever came down to that choice, Aegon would easily choose her in a heartbeat. (and he always reminds her of that)

- Visenya = boy mum, Aegon = girl dad. (no explanation needed)

- Aegon tries to act like he’s a very strict and disciplining father when in reality he does nothing but coddle them.

- Visenya 100% pulled an Alyssa and was teaching them kids dragon riding before they could even walk.

- Vis has to untangle/fix Aegon’s hair nearly every night, (and eventually teach him how to tie it up) since their kids love playing with it so much.

- Aegon was lowkey scared to hold his own child at first, (cause he thought he would drop them or something dumb asf) but now, more often than not, he falls asleep while still holding them.

How many dreams have you had of moon hunting you down? I've had 3!

#they were absolutely terrifying #one was so so vivid #i wanna draw it so bad but AURG i dont have the skills #i was playing a game where you're in a house and the kitchen is the starting room #bam was there i think #but sun was in the kitchen along with everyone and the game was about to start #in 5 minutes the lights would go out and moon would come out to hunt people! i hid on the bottom bed of a bunk bed #under the covers and close to the wall. then the kitchen light went out and i could hear the bells as moon walked around looking for people #and he walked right next to me. i remember bit being able to breathe i was so scared #he looked dead at me. right in the eyes and paused for a good minute then continued to the next room #i remember thinking it was a cruel part of the game! like he liked to terrify people before getting them #aurhg but that moment when we made eye contact. it was beautiful and so so cinematic! a pretty red glow from his eyes!#soft blue light coming in through the shudders!#and the room was so cute! very softly designed to look like a neutral kids room! blue wallpaper and a giraffe stuffed animal #aurhgg #ren won't shut up

AAAAA like honestly I really don’t care for tsugemina but I know they have a decent sized jp fanbase so I get the vol 12 sacrifice once again💔 but kurodachi as parents my God naina… I can see it so clearly like in my dream they’d be the sweetest most loving parents ever like in my dream it was weird cause it was little snippets? But I can just see it… adachi falling asleep with their baby girl already far into dreamland on his chest and kurosawa using every molecule of strength in his body not to start crying (53636 burst shots were taken), kurosawa buying matching pyjamas for all three of them (cherry print I’m sorry I’m a weak, weak person…), that classic moment of them laying together in bed ready to sleep, wedding photos framed prettily on the bedside, when all of a sudden the baby starts crying and they both make a move to get up but then one of them stops the other with a gentle hand with the ‘I’ve got it, rest yourself’ line oh I’m insane. Positively INSANE

i love how disarming hughie is repeatedly shown to be to so many people because he actually treats them like human beings (which is exceptionally rare on this show).

a stranger cries next to him on a park bench and he immediately asks if she's all right and gives her heartfelt advice. translucent tries to murder him and hughie still goes to his cell with water. butcher is an asshole to hughie all around, but hughie's refusal to let him treat the rest of the group (frenchie, MM, kimiko — all of whom are little better than strangers to him at that point) like they're disposable actually reminds butcher he has a heart (in s2 lol). a-train murders hughie's girlfriend, shows no remorse for it, then tries to murder him, but hughie still opts to pump his heart back to life. (and it works out, because a-train repays the favour in season 2 by providing them information on stormfront's history.) hughie treats soldier boy with basic kindness and soldier boy opens up to him about his dreams of settling down and a family with crimson countess. when he negotiates with mindstorm (whose ability literally depends on making eye contact!!), hughie uncovers his eyes and even tosses him some clothes, just so mindstorm can retain some semblance of dignity and connection.

it makes the v24 plot so much more heartbreaking because hughie's greatest strength has been his humanity all along.

Nooshy vs Johnny

My favourite thing about writing the differences between characters so far has to be Nooshy and Johnny... because they are the most chaotic siblings imaginable.

Nooshy’s entire personality is “Fuck it, we ball��, “YOLO”, and “What’s the worst that could happen”, while Johnny over here is the living incarnation of “Oh gods no, whyyyyy”, “I want to go home”, and “Can I please just sit this one out”.

And meanwhile Marcus is in the background five seconds from having either a heart attack or and aneurism wondering how the hell he’s supposed to manage these two and Stan and Barry are so confused on how their niephew and nephew turned out to be exact mini versions of them.

Batfamily fans are annoying because they hate Bruce, Batdad fans are annoying because they woobify or reduce Bruce, neither of them give a shit about the villains as the secondary main characters, nor Gotham as any atmospheric or thematic weight other than “backdrop city,” the main comic titles currently are catering so heavily to the weekly Twitter discourse it’s actually a real fucking problem, etc etc.

And then meanwhile I’m over here defending The Dark Knight Returns and trying to figure out what the hell to do with my realization I don’t give a fuck about Dick as Nightwing.

#If I had the gumption or the care to be more of an essay writer about Batman #I’d take a crack at trying to express how constantly reducing Robin to Batman’s CHILD is actually a little…#like yes he was Dick’s guardian #and yes he legally adopted Jason #and Tim #Damian’s his biological son etc etc #but the child fantasy of Robin is just as much being Batman’s best FRIEND as it is getting to drive the Batmobile as a 10-year-old #Robin and Batman are partners and they’re best fucking friends #and yes it’s a grown ass man treating a kid as his equal #because it’s FUN. and it’s fun best contrasted with the villains being the most HORRID fuckin’ people you have ever seen #just as Bruce/Batman needs to be a harmony between terrifying violence and unrelenting compassion #Batman and Robin need to be a balance of absolutely child’s logic and ultimate good vs Very Fuggin Scary evil #evil that’s Very Fuggin Scary and then meanwhile death traps and fights on giant memorabilia #and I’ve got wider issues with the ever expanding Batfamily #but I think reducing Bruce to this hyper anxious love lug of a Dad backing cookies for everybody as a defense against Batjerk takes #and what have you #is equally… not it.#I’m in a Batman mood ignore me.

Episode idea…

… Someone kidnaps Mac and uses him as leverage to force Jack to hunt down and assassinate someone, w/ Riley and Bozer getting the insanely difficult task of trying to do a complicated dance of protecting the target from Jack while he tries to give them as much leeway as possible without being obvious, while they also try to figure out who has Mac and rescue him.

Naturally the resolution would involve Mac partially breaking out himself, Jack getting to beat the hell out the people behind it.

#MacGyver (2016)#MacGyver 2016 #I have a sudden love for Jack being super terrifying competent and going into scary Delta mode #partially instilled by watching that ep where Mac pretends to be Murdoc and at the end Jack's just #casually shooting the Organisation dudes with a handgun #and I'm just like #when Jack's serious he's scary #so like he's trying to go easy on them but he can't go too easy bc then the villains will kill MAc #anyway while I totally get why people are all after Mac for his skillset #I realised that Jack's probably got an equally desirable skill set albeit in one particular field #so I love the idea of someone trying to use that #like let Jack be scary and cool #I absolutely agree he's jokey and childish as an active choice to cope w/ his past/work #and I do think partially his relationship w/ Mac allows him to do that #he was so down to go home #we know his previous tour did a number on him #but he finds this kid who's a different kind of cocky and not good w/ people and accidentally becomes his dad #they saved each other #Jack helps Mac relax and get out of his brain and enjoy things and Mac gives Jack hope and well a little Jack XD #Jack needed to be a dad and Mac needed a dad #literally fate was like 'I will give these two children the largest father issues ever and then I will send them the most lovable doofus'#Bring Your Son To Work To The Extreme With Spies

Zahine Besiira: His biggest three abilities are his affinity for ice, and his abilities to inflict charm (which he's not allowed to use, because it doesn't really wear off, and tends to essentially brainwash whoever gets hit with it), and frenzy respectively. For ice, he prefers to use it at a longer range-- typically forming arrows and a bow of ice that will spread over his opponent's body, or burst once they're hit, depending on how gory he feels like getting that day...though he can also use it for deflecting other ranged attacks away from himself. He's exceptionally knowledgeable in anatomy and the like, and his precise aim allows him to target vulnerable areas with relative ease. As for frenzy, the most dangerous thing about this state is that it makes the opponent lose any and all inhibition, and they will fight even at the expense of harming themselves. It also usually tires them out quickly, as they expend huge bursts of energy to attack pretty much whatever catches their attention.

Aside from that, he's actually the most dangerous when he's up close. Typically, he tries to keep a more "impersonal" approach to fighting, which is a big part of why he usually fights at range. Once he's fired up enough to allow someone to get in close, he uses his brute strength to take them out immediately. Surprising to most, his physical strength is actually much higher than his magical strength, so they'll get close thinking he'll be at a disadvantage, only to have him literally crack them like a glow stick. Also, major healing! But he doesn't usually do too much of that in a fight, if he doesn't have to. He's stubborn about that.

Ber Bireth: Primarily a caster, relying on elemental magic (He really has next to no physical strength. It's very similar to what an average human's might be)-- he favors the earth element most, as he feels it gives him the most range for "status affliction" type attacks. That being said, he does also tend to favor large scale, powerful magics right off the bat, and has the energy to cast them more frequently than most others would. Tends to just wrap himself up nice and cozy in the strongest barrier he can cast, and sit there while his ranged magics force his opponents to run around the field like a headless chicken, trying to dodge them.

The biggest issue with fighting him (in a battle like this anyway-- otherwise it's the fact that he just regenerates immediately upon being killed, and comes at you like an angry cat that you just tried to drop in a bath tub) is by far his command over time based magics. Though he's no longer one of the masters of the Stream of Time, he's still able to do things like temporarily speed up, slow down, or stop time.
