Nine people I'd like to get to know better
...except I'm getting to this very late and have no idea who has or hasn't done this yet, so consider this a free-for-all for anyone wanting to do this, too!
Last song: Follow Fi (extended) - good background noise when I'm working on my websites :)
Bregan D'aerthe fan-site will be returning soon-ish btw! PROBABLY in April or May but it really depends on how much more our relocation is gonna keep getting pushed back :(
Favourite colour: I am a BIG fan of colors just in general but um...
GREEN. Let's just say 'green' and make this a bit easier.
Last tv show/movie: Oh lord... I really don't watch tv much at all. As in... I've watched 1 show in the last 3 years, which is the Loki series.
Spicy/sweet/savoury: Mostly savory with a bit of spice. I do not usually like mixing sweet and savory. There's an Indian restaurant around here that makes great tikka masala and if I could only eat ONE meal for the rest of my life it would be that.
Last game: Minecraft. I was feeling a bit cynical after corporate put up some more ~woo~ feel-good brainwashing customer service posters so I fought back by putting up signs in my spooky scary underground dungeon saying shit like "positive vibes only" and a few other things that might be too much of a giveaway for where I work so I won't share them (YET!)
Last thing i google "do people seriously believe this crap?" with absolutely no added context because that's the mood I was in
@foxboyclit thank you for tagging me in this, it was fun!

I hope this is a good time to plug an actual 1869 novel by Ivan Goncharov: Obryv ('The Precipice', but the newest and complete translation is called 'Malinovka Heights') which follows Boris Raisky, an "artist/writer/poet/sculptor/etc" (unemployed guy) who dropped out of art school because he didn't like to practice drawing hands and wanted to paint the next mona lisa immediately. And then he gets bored of living in the city (runs out of money) and goes to live with his great-aunt in the countryside to be around nature and gain some "writing inspiration" (doesn't write) and meets Vera, who is Not Like Other Girls but! turns out she is actually super nuanced and complex and by not like other girls i mean not like other girls written by 19th century men but like an actual woman. And then he also meets Mark aka the village hooligan that everyone tells him to avoid but in defiance of them all he says that Mark is "the only person worth talking to" and invites him over in the middle of the night in secret (gay) and then there's a love triangle over Vera because of course there is. And they also meet another guy and it turns into a love square but i actually haven't read that far yet but i promise it's really good anyway please read Obryv

Well I just got curious and made an account on another credit checking site and yep, my credit under my old name is different from my new name. My student loans and biggest credit card don't show up on my new name account - I'm the same goddamn person with the same social security number. Why is this my problem.

that moment when: everyone's lives are restricted and constricted and these imposed consequences are attributed to anyone's continual individual failures to seek, find, and follow the Correct Path through Life, and so everyone is left on their own to only be seeking & finding these failures as well as the only answer to how their lives can be better....versus Not seeing the world as the free marketplace meritocracy of everyone's personal failures/successes, nor everything in your own life, and thus not forever having to scrutinize Where You Must Be Bringing It Upon Yourself by fucking up or at least failing to do the correct thing, and exist only in perpetual punishment for your ongoing failure and occasional temporary reprieves from it. recognizing everything that wasn't & isn't & wouldn't be [this is because you're bringing it upon yourself] and thus having more capacity & capability to look at the realm of your personal individual self, reality, experiences, life through the perpetual instances of seeking, finding, and following your own needs/wants through one's inherent personhood and exercises of autonomy and recognition of where & when & how one recognizes moments of their existing freely & in more resonant genuine alignment with themself, you know? endless examples to be found in endless fractals of [where & how are people's lives made smaller]. and that of course this doesn't preclude the ability/option at any time to question one's choices, since you'll be able to find more Actual choices available to you (and, also crucially, find more actual choices made by others that are in the pursuit of limiting Yours) to look at, and people getting to exercise their autonomy isn't the same as "everyone doing anything they want regardless of how it affects others" since that [how does it affect others?] element instead being Regarded would be able to lead to recognizing that, in fact, an effect might be the infringement on others' autonomy, hence: There's A Problem....like the ability to just go ham with [questioning???] anything in existence, certainly including oneself, b/c the "norm" is such that rather you're only supposed to be able to question yourself for your failings (or those positioned as less than, thus, beneath you) and not even have the language to express a questioning of aspects of life beyond that b/c stop calling anyone "cis" they're just Normal, Just Be Normal and it would all be fine
