Prompt 235
“Mother, I have made a friend.”
Now don’t get him wrong, Danny was delighted at the idea of Jordan making a friend, he really was. But the last three attempts had been borderline kidnappings, so he wasn’t entirely sure if he should be. Thankfully it doesn’t seem he’s kidnapped this one. Hopefully.
Not that he wouldn’t be surprised if Dan managed to kidnap a tiny kryptonian, but the kid- Jon apparently- seemed happy enough to be there. Apparently his grandparents lived in the midwest too, and was happy enough to have someone to talk about it.
Though um, maybe Danny should have checked to see if his parents knew where he’d gone, because he was not expecting a harried-looking superman to suddenly appear at his window.

things i wasn't prepared for when seeing Hadestown: Hermes putting a hand on Eurydice's shoulder before the first song had even started, looking Eurydice in the eye as if asking permission to tell her story again, and Eurydice smiling, yes, it's alright, it should be told again

Something I absolutely adore about The Lord of the Rings is the healthy depiction of masculinity, and how it's not seen through just the Hobbits - who are known for valuing friendship, love, and a quiet, simple life. It's Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Gandalf, Boromir, Faramir, Eomer, and Theoden. All of the men love, they laugh, they cry, they express themselves, they grieve, and they're never weaker for it. In fact, it's this emotional vulnerability - their capacity for love - that helps them succeed in saving Middle Earth. It's such a refreshing and beautiful thing to see.
Just props to JRR Tolkien for writing the characters the way he did and to Peter Jackson and the cast for bringing it to life so beautifully.

I've been utterly fascinated by Good (better? nicer?) Chase design by @lizard-color4 from this post and desperately wanted to know more. Who's this man? What's his story? Why is his hand bandaged? Why is his fashion taste is so much better than Original Chase? And why the hell does his hug looks so nice??
so i um, decided to explore his design a little ;D
also bonus+ sorta?? continuation / my take on the after hug because i really craved more of that
bonus++ a silly doodle of my first attempt on his design because why not

Finding out that you're Bhaalspawn, waking up and discovering that Jaheira watches you as you sleep with her swords ready. Not to kill you with malice, but with mercy if you require it. Her recognizing the murder in your blood and trusting and following you anyway, but recognizing that not only is it possible for you to lose control in your sleep, but also that it's not something your character would want is genuinely so touching. She knew and followed you anyway. Instead of calling you a monster she's silently assigned herself as your protector from yourself. Jaheira my best friend jaheira.

The elder men spoke low. They took a vote and said no.
They turned around real slow. Where did they go? Where did they go?
And the question oh, the question: can the kid keep his eyes, if the fire doesn't die?
They said no.
