Non-Carmuel shippers have the worst takes when it comes to Carla and even Samuel; I remember people calling Samuel a class traitor because he helped the police get Rebeka's mom, while completely forgetting he only did it because they blackmailed him by using his brother. Or calling him a hypocrite by saying he helped Lu "get away with murder" while hating Polo. He hated Polo because he killed Marina and let Nano be arrested for it, meanwhile Lu came forward right away; it's not the same

exactlyyyyy like samuel is the most relatable person on that show point blank period, yes he’s made his mistakes just like every other character bc none of them are innocent but he’s always had a good reason? granted i didn’t watch anything after the carmuel shorts but still the reasons they hate him are for stuff done in seasons 1-3 anyway. like yeah what he did to rebe was wrong but again, he thought he was getting his family back. and rebe even forgave him for it in the end like 😭😭😭 AND like you said samu only hated polo bc of how he ruined literally everyone’s lives and then tried to go on like it was nothing, not just because he covered up a murder. he doesn’t hate carla for that he even understands why she did it - to protect her family. samu was completely valid for being angry seeing polo laughing and smiling at the end of s3 i would be too hello

like the story would be different if polo accidentally killed marina like he claims he did. he would be a way more sympathetic character if that was the case, but no, he picked up that trophy and he hit her and then tried to avoid accountability for it for three whole seasons. yet carla and samuel are the bad guys

also not the class traitor 😭😭 1) rebeka is rich she is not poor and 2) that man is so very stubbornly ANTI money the only time he used it recklessly was to buy a plane ticket that he wasn’t gonna use

Polo/ander hooking up pissed me off cuz it hurt cinnamon roll omar! I mean it was hot but deep down i hated both of em for hurting omar. I love valerio so i dont mind seeing him with literally anyone since they might not do the valerio + lu plot

I mean, it really didn’t have that much consequences for Omar/Omander though. Ander told him right after and he got over it immediately, like, on the same episode he found out about it.

Even though I like VaLu, I keep thinking about the idea of Valerio being on a new OT3 with Polo and Cayetana, he and Polo were so happy to see each other and then the writers never touched that again… And then he kissed Cayetana, and, again, nothing came from that lol. C’mon writers if anything I need it just to see Carla’s face when she realizes Polo is thriving(especially if Samuel is with Rebeka at the same time and she has no one to go to loool).

What is the absolute worst pairing?

As I’ve said before, my motto is ship and let ship. Hey, love works in weird ways, and that goes for love of certain ships as well. So, this post is not meant as an insult to any ship. It’s my opinion. :) Below, I will list a few ships from my biggest fandoms I absolutely don’t get. (Or don’t like. Hope it will not be too confusing haha)

Marvel

.Stony (Steve/Tony): I … I just really don’t get it! I totally see the potential. I see the opportunities. But. I … just never shipped it! Not my cup of tea! I myself don’t get it, but I guess their friendship for me is too precious and important AND essential for the movies to be twisted into something else in my mind? That’s honestly the only explanation I can come up with! :D

.Also Starker (Peter/Tony): MY GUYS PETER IS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND TONY IN THIS FIFTIES (?)!! He’s like a father/uncle to him! Where is the potential for a ship???????

Carla/Samuel: I don’t like them, mostly because I’m still hung up on Carla/Polo. My babies! And while I think they do have their cute moments (the gif underneath especially, I mean awww), after seeing Carla for two, three seasons, I really like the thought of her as a single, independent, powerful woman. It’s what she’s meant to be, at least for me. Basically, if she can’t be with Polo, she shouldn’t be with anyone! Meh! (That’s sarcasm, of course.)  

If I wanted to come up with more, I’m sure I could. But I’m leaving it as that. There are 14 days left, and a few controversial posts are still to come. Gotta save a few ships for that :D

I remember you said once that the reason you don't like carmuel (other than the fact that they're boring trash) is because they lost the individual traits you liked about them when they're together. What traits were you talking?

ok so basically:

samu: what i liked most about samuel is that he’s a sweet, pretty gullible, goofy guy who just wants to mind his business. i understand that what kinda hardens him is marina dying/his brother being charged for it more than carla herself but here’s the thing: she enforces those new traits of him. his relationship to her renders him unable to do anything but embrace those new traits (or at least that’s how the writers think). that “im not another idiot you’re gonna play with”, that “im a tough guy” persona. it doesnt suit him at all, it’s Meh. 

samu when he’s with rebeka goes back to being his soft, somewhat awkward self if only now shaken & not as trusting as he once was in S1 due to what has happened, so that means it’s definitely something he becomes when he’s with carla/for his relationship with carla’s benefit. 

now, carla: carla spent most of S1 being kinda hanging in the air about how her character truly was; we only knew she was a rich girl who wasn’t a bitch like lu but also not as welcoming or warm as marina, she was kinda somewhere in between. and horny. and gorgeous. that’s pretty much all we knew abt her character traits. until the last few eps when we truly saw the extension of carla’s ability to manipulative people around her & i DIGGED that a lot, so did a bunch of people. 

it’s not to say that carla’s a permanent Ice Queen who never shows care or vulnerability, she did/does. it’s not to say that carla cant be sweet to the people she cares or wants. but the way they showed carla as immidiately falling that deeply for samu was just,,,,unrealistic. it was poorly executed & it felt ooc for her.

writers dropped samu’s soft, innocent traits & carla’s cunning, manipulative traits -- which were the traits that made them most appealing to me -- in order to make them meet half-way & make a relationship between characters like these two more plausible. and guess what? they still fell flat

samu and rebeka or samu and carla? and why? i cant decide

samu/rebeka ANY DAY. samu/rebeka WORKS like the only reason it’s not all around good is bc samu was still hung up on carla when he started dating rebeka & then he let himself be dragged to that whole ‘lets get rebekas mom in jail’ scheme by the most incompetent authorities ive ever seen on a show. 

samu/carla never appealed to me. both characters felt ooc when they were with each other. the traits i liked on both samu & carla individually were gone when they were together. absolute character assasination 

now, samu/rebe feels absolutely organic to me. like fine, some people might find samu to boring for rebe but i think he’s literally the only male characters thats suited for her. bc samu’s a sweet, smol dumb boy & i LOVE dynamics where the badass (bi)icon falls for the soft one.
