“I genuinely don't understand why people find the Love Square interesting. It's perfectly serviceable but given we've seen multiple renditions of what it'd be like when they get together in the show, it's hard to be intrigued or invested in it. There's no mystery or wonder to it, and whenever we get it the show just retcons it away anyway. Fanfic pairings are more interesting because we haven't seen them already and we get pairings that aren't retconned/over in an episode.”

How to easily trigger miraculous fans...

Kagome and Inuyasha are better protagonists than Marinette and Adrien will ever be and they are also teens as well (Inu is a teen, he is stated to be 15 like Kagome not 200+). Plus Inukag is ten times better than entirety of Love Square and It isn't love build on obsession and image of perfection. They at least have a decent chemistry unlike stupid love square.

(edit because I was too aggressive and not kind)

Sorry but you need to respect my opinion. I will never like a ship which is build on obsession and not on chemistry.

As an Adrien stan who used to defend his writing back during season 3, I take everything back. I feel so sorry about the way he’s been treated by the writers—always put aside, always unaware of what’s happening even when it specifically concerns him.

“It’s better that he doesn’t know that his father was a villain.”

No, it isn’t. Marinette doesn’t get to decide that, Adrien does. He deserves to know that his father was an abuser. Gabriel doesn’t deserve to be remembered as a hero. I wasn’t expecting, nor did I want it, that Gabriel was going to be exposed to everyone because that would’ve reflected badly on Adrien, so I would understand if Marinette wanted to protect him from that. What it’s not fair is keeping him in the dark.

“But Adrienette is finally canon, aren’t you happy?”

As a hardcore Lovesquare fan since season 1, I absolutely am not. I wanted their relationship to be about honesty and trust. Why would I, as an Adrien stan, want him next to a person who’s lying to him? Who will likely be lying to him for the rest of their lives? Mind you, I’m not blaming Marinette (I love her even more than I love Adrien); I’m blaming the writing. For having us believe that any sort of criticism of the show comes from a place of misunderstanding of the canon material, because God forbid someone has an opinion that doesn’t align with the writers’ idea.

Anyways, Marinette and Adrien deserved so much better. Everyone did.

I used to genuinely not be able to choose a fave between Ladybug and Cat Noir, because I always loved them as a team.

But after Cat Noir’s bullshit treatment by s5′s godawful finale (not to mention the already 2 season long streak of Cat Noir being treated horrible by the narrative, or more specifically by the insecure man child in charge) and then the movie showing us how amazing his character can be with better treatment...

Yeah, call me a Cat Noir stan now (no shade to movie Ladybug, I genuinely love her too, but maybe a little shade to series Ladybug... sorry not sorry).

I guess I just have a thing for emotionally neglected characters who struggle getting justice or even something as simple as being told the truth about things literally involving them (looking at you s5 finale).

And the only reason I have the smallest grain of hope for Cat Noir in s6 is because I heard Asstruck isn’t in the writing chair anymore (edit: turns out he’s still around, so there’s no hope left...)

Miraculous Ladybug

I find funny how a person said: "Miraculous Ladybug show is what you needed. Miraculous Ladybug movie is what you wanted" or something like that. Because that's actually not true. Not at all. Miraculous Movie is what we wanted and what we needed. And Miraculous Movie is so so much better than Miraculous Show.

Do you want proof? I have them.

Movie Adrinette/Ladynoir is not toxic unlike show Adrinette/Ladynoir.

Movie Marinette is an awkward girl who has a normal crush, unlike Show Marinette who has an obsession for Adrien. Oh, and in the movie she can talk to Adrien and she isn't a stalker.

Movie Gabriel is a bad father, but at least he cares about his son and stops fighting him when he discovers he is Chat Noir, unlike Show Gabriel. And he actually loves Adrien and wants him to be happy (after all, he wanted to bring Emilie back mostly because his son was suffering).

Movie Chloé is a normal bully girl, unlike Show Chloé who is a terrible person with a terrible writing who should have been redeemed. But instead Show Chloé was treated like a irredeemable monster.

Movie gave us in an hour and 42 minutes what the show couldn't give us in 5 seasons with 24 episodes and 3 specials. They revealed their secret identities. And for some reason, show can't give us the same thing.

So people, please please don't say Miraculous Show it's better than the movie. Because it isn't.

This is just my opinion, I'm not forcing anyone to think like me, sorry if someone understood that.

I genuinely, sincerely, unironically hope that Adrienette falls apart next season.

I wish they have a lot of miscommunications, I hope they fight a lot and break up. I hope they cheat on each other with each other. (You know what I mean).

I hope they realise they are still in love with superhero version of each other and that their relationship won't ever feel complete until they know each other's secret identities.

I really really wish Adrienette are absolutely miserable until the identity revealed happens.

Do you think the animation on Marinette's face when Adrien confessed his feeling for her in Chat Blanc and Ephemeral was lacking in comparison to when Luka confessed his feelings for her?

Funny because the post you sent in another ask was linked to an account that blocked me even though I've never interacted with them lmao

Anyways, if they're focusing on animated facial expressions to determine which ship is better they've got another thing coming lol

L*ka's (censoring bc I don't want his name to appear if it's searched) confession could have literally been taken from any random poetry book just like how he could have said that to any other girl who wasn't Marinette and nothing would change. And the entire thing was made of music metaphors (not saying he was wrong to do that!!) which once again, is something about HIS character and not Marinette's. The first time he confessed Marinette was in a daze from seeing him as an akuma and the second time she just watched him perform a concert.

Adrien’s confessions of love or even just plain affection or friendship to Marinette or Ladybug at any given point in time were ALWAYS about her and how much SHE means to HIM. It was always about how special Marinette was to him, how great of a friend she was, how talented and brave and smart she is, how she makes him laugh, how she's his best friend, how he has a lot of fun with her, I can go on and on and on but then it will become as long as Gabriel’s list of crimes.

And finally, in both episodes you mentioned, after Adrien confessed, both times Marinette became his girlfriend. I think that says a lot more than momentary blushing does.
