Seeing people on reddit leap to the defence of pornography and fantasies involving the corrective rape of lesbians is disturbing. Lesbians do not want to have sex with men. It’s not “consensual non consent”. It is rape. It is a real fear, a real traumatic experience repackaged as a so called “harmless fantasy”. If lesbians can agree that porn involving our sexuality as being something for men to enjoy is harmful then why defend this. This is the same issue with the quiet part being said aloud.

The kick in the teeth is the post getting taken down followed shortly after by a ‘Friendly reminder to not kinkshame people’. At what point did the rape of our community become a ‘kink’?

Edit: The ‘friendly reminder’ has been taken down but I feel that this needs to be said.

I wish more people would talk about this - I feel like kink and bdsm is so closely linked to trauma! I relate to your tags about healing because I noticed once I unpacked things I wasn’t allowing any disrespect from men especially in the form of “rough” sex. Now I just think they’re low-key abusers. Why should a man find slapping or abuse sexy?

Yeah that kind of thing (slapping etc) really disturbs me. I’m not totally anti-kink cus I can see why some things are harmless (if a bit weird lmao) but I automatically side-eye any man who claims to be dominant but has no actual idea what bdsm involves.

My last ex asked me to tie him up and I was like um we haven’t even had any conversations about safe words, consent, different scenarios, boundaries etc - I really hate that porn has normalised bdsm. This same weirdo then decided to shame me for not giving in because I wanted to set some ground rules first.

It’s not something you just decide to do on a whim 😶 that guy was a fucking scrote anyway but seriously I hate this culture of men thinking they can do whatever they want without actually talking about things beforehand.
