ap classes ranked by how badly they made me want to drop out

ap art history -- i was sobbing crying nightly trying to memorise 'tamati waka nene' to the tune of africa by shakira

ap us history -- it moved incredibly slowly at times and incredibly quickly over the interesting bits. tell me why we spent no time at the revolutionary war and spent three weeks talking about cold war economics

ap world history -- don't ask me about the ottomans if you want to see me happy and content

ap 2d art an design -- spent a month straight trying to scrape my portfolio together on college board. it kept deleting my progress. and each image took like 3 hours to format and load. so happy it was over. liked the drawing bit though

ap language -- very chill!! liked writing essays and reading the news. never got complexity but i resigned myself to it :(

ap European history -- honestly really fun. machiavelli is my bro. napoleon is my babygirl. leonardo da Vinci is gay

AP history classes are wack because you'll learn that Hitler sent Nazis to work with the KKK in the hopes to bring fascists to power in America and then you remember that one of the KKK's grand wizards went to high school in your city and then it's never touched again

so i went through elementary and middle school with a ‘being able to finish near all homework in class’ mindset and quick material absorption.

I just sat down and spent 2 hours and 20 minutes working on AP World homework

I do not think I have ever sat down and just worked on stuff at home for that long

Accomplishments :3

granted i didnt work for that long straight (cause im not straight lol (laugh at my joke. please))

i used the whole ‘Work for 20 minutes than Break for 10 minutes’ strategy (works surprisingly well - definitely helps unfocus brain with no work ethic) do recommend if you’re someone else trying to actually start doing work alone.

(find a break activity that uses different things than your work activity - i worked on taking notes from the online textbook and planned for Dragon con and held a cat in my breaks)

Also actually telling someone who will hold you to it (ie. parent) so you cant back out

listen when i was taking ap world, we had to read and analyze the journal of a man who had traveled to mughal India. the man was a white Christian (i think he was russian) but he stayed in India for a REALLY long time and, just to make things easier for himself (bc he was a merchant or smth) he pretended he was a Muslim. it was either that or pretending to be hindu but to him, hindu traditions seemed so foreign and Muslim traditions had so much crossover with christian ones. in the end, he was basically a practicing Muslim, following all the Islamic holidays and observing the Islamic calendar and bonding with a lot of Islamic ideology.......but he still considered himself a Christian. so, the question remains: was he Muslim, or was he Christian? it's a question he himself asked in the very end of the excerpt i read, in a moment of doubt. i think about him a lot and i think other people should, too.

I forgot to do this earlier but here’s how I think I did on my ap exams

This year I took 4 aps, this is my first year ever taking any aps so it was a bit hard but nothing I couldn’t do

Ap psyc- felt less and less confident each day 😭 those frqs took me out but I’m still confident 4/5

Ap human geo- fr this test was trash wth, those frqs messed me up but honestly I think it was better than psyc 4/5

Ap bio- … I hate this test. 2-3/5. I love bio w my whole heart. But what. The hell. Was that test.

Ap world- <333 this test was so easy it was perfect, my leq is the best thing I’ve written to date, I hate history but this test <3 5/5 I’m confident
