cringetober day 30 (halloween)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my GOD i actually finished a full month prompt list for once!!!!!!!!! im so proud of myself!!!!!!!!! i drew my sonas in costume and then a halloween party featuring some of my ocs from the story in my head <3 yippeeeee now i can sleep-in (in the art department) for a month ^-^

Quinn rolled his eyes as you gave the two brothers an amused look. "Because you have a big mouth, everyone in America would know Y/N's my girlfriend by the end of the night."

Jack couldn't argue with that, it's true - he does like to talk a lot. Luke rolled his eyes, "That's why he told me first, by the way.''

"Wait, what?" Jack exclaimed, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise. "You knew before me?"

Luke nodded, a grin playing on his lips. "Yep, Quinn told me a while back. He said he needed at least one person to keep the secret safe."

Jack's expression turned into a mix of disbelief and mock offense. "And you didn't tell me? What kind of brother are you?"

Quinn chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest. "The kind that knows how to keep a secret, unlike someone else in this room. And I needed to make sure it wouldn't turn into breaking news before we even had a chance to enjoy being together."

You had been observing the playful exchange between the brothers, couldn't help but join in. "Besides, it's not like we were keeping it a secret forever. Just needed to choose the right moment."

"Wait, so long have you been together?" Luke asked as he leaned back on the couch, watching you two.

"Almost six months." You replied, a smile on your lips.

"How the hell didn't you tell anyone in six months?" Jack's eyes widened as he looked in between you two.

Quinn grinned, enjoying the surprise on his brothers' faces. "Well, we wanted to make sure it was solid before making any announcements. Plus, it was fun keeping a little secret just between us." Quinn smirked back at you as you blushed.

Luke nodded in understanding, though a glint appeared in his eyes. "Six months, huh? You guys are good at keeping secrets. I can't believe Jack didn't catch on."

Jack shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "Hey, I'm not the detective in the family. Besides, I had other things on my mind."

"Like what?"

"I don't know, my job." Jack replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Luke chuckled, shaking his head. "Fair enough. But I have to admit, I'm impressed. Six months is a long time to keep something like this under wraps."

You nodded, feeling a sense of relief now that the secret was out in the open. "It wasn't easy, but it was worth it."

Quinn draped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to him. "Definitely worth it."

Jack smiled at his brother. "Well I'm just happy we were the first people to know, I feel special now."

You and Quinn exchanged an amused glance as Jack scoffed.

so guys 🙋🏻‍♀️🌸 i have finished the entire new quest at last and omg 👼🏼 like this was outstanding!! you see, what i really enjoy about star rail is that it gives me similar vibes to hi3 in terms of the darkness in the plot, since hi3 is my favorite hoyo game i always love seeing stuff from it or just similar instances. SO YOU KNOW FOR A FACT I WAS SO HYPED WHEN ACHERON SHOWED UP 🤺 especially with the hi3 story with kiana as the mc being over and although i still love hi3 the most, kiana, mei and bronya, that trio, they were all the best characters together AAAARGHHH I SWEAR AND JUST THE ENTIRE STORY LINE WAS SOOO GOOD, I miss them all together as a trio and especially kiana, the best hoyo MC FOR LIFE. 🙋🏻‍♀️🩷

this entire quest gave me movie vibes, you were on edge the entire time and even during side quests you had to take, it was still very intense. it actually took me quite a bit to finish it of course since i'm someone who doesn't skip dialog, but it was so worth it and the best way to relax after a long day of moving my body 🩷 just laying in bed, playing while drinking tea!!

They're not made or conceptualized right now, aha. It's a mystery even to me exactly what they'll look like in Step 4. When that art is done, it'll be posted on the Patreon first. Then it'll showed publicly later on.

I imagine that won't be worked on until 2025, though. There's no need for that art right now, programming-wise, and it's better to think about it for as long as possible.

Heheh there's so many things about the fic that I looooved. As always, the language you use when writing is beautiful and you always do your research before diving into a particular setting/topic. I didn't even know that different parts of a kimono were called different things but I do now

I really admire the fact that darling didn't freak out(that much) over the ingredients in the pot and she seemed to be accepting of it to some extent already. Though I would do the same if the life of my life for 20 years turned out to be a secret cannibal(Also it's jade leech I'd die for that man).

Jade's petty possessiveness towards Floyd was sooo scrumptious! I love seeing banter between the two.

I have to wonder, how do you think that Jade react to the reader clearly lying about the what they've seen in the pot? Do you think he'd smile and get on with his day, and so would darling?

I'm pleased you could enjoy so many aspects of the fic! I liked writing about Jade in traditional clothing. The inspiration came from his New Year card. He's just so cute. <3 and there's so much charm in a little hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant run by the sweet couple that is Jade and his wife! I had fun writing in that setting!!!!

I think he would smile and say something like, "Haven't I always told you there's no secret? It's just love." And from then on it becomes something of an "ignorance is bliss" situation. Darling might live in denial, refusing to believe her beloved husband of twenty years could possibly do something so heinous. If all else fails, at least she's good friends with Detective Ashengrotto. :)

I’m so tired, and it’s definitely gonna be nice to not write over 1k word fics daily. I absolutely adored the event though, it really challenged me as a writer! Summary: The Pines family are having an "intense" game of Hide-and-Seek to determine who gets to decorate the Mystery Shack for Halloween. There's an interesting set of rules, with a ticklish twist for whoever gets caught.

"Dipper, be quiet!"

Mabel whisper-shouted at her brother, sinking further into the pile of stuffed animals. It was the fiercest competition of the century, and she intended to win it.

What had her so determined, you ask? The annual Pines Hide-and-Seek Championship. Well, it was the first year they were doing it, but the technically-teen was going to make sure it carried on.

Downstairs, her Grunkles combed through the house, searching for their great-grand niece and nephew. The Grunkles had half an hour to find them. There was a twist the older men had added, just to make the game more fun. If caught, the kids would be tickled. They didn't really specify a time, figuring it would be best to play things by ear. 

The mystery twins gave no argument. They were determined to win, though the sweater-loving girl was definitely taking things more seriously. For Mabel, that's saying something.

Mabel, being serious? What was so great that she would forgo her usual silliness? Well, something she greatly desired; the winner, whoever they may be, got to dictate the Halloween decorations for the whole Mystery Shack. As long as it was within the budget, anything went.

She was determined to make it the most sparkly, retro, in-your-face crazy Halloween party ever. That meant she had to win. 

Stan rooted through cabinets, looked in couch cushions, even went as far as looking in the outskirts of the woods. He was putting off checking the attic, figuring the kids would be smarter than that. Mabel was always goofy, it wasn’t hard to think her hiding spot would be as well.

Using a gadget, Ford scanned the first floor of the Shack. It was supposed to detect the joy and wonder a child gave off, though he was pretty sure he calibrated something wrong. Still, he searched, hoping it would at least give him some edge. He didn’t want his home covered in glitter, or so scary that even the goat would have nightmares. If Dipper won…well, he wouldn’t actually mind that, but it was the principle of it.

Dipper was hiding up in the rafters, having used Mabel’s grappling hook to secure the spot. They hid together, figuring whoever got caught first could fend for themself. Mabel was rather proud of hers; it was simple enough that they probably wouldn’t look, yet small enough to where she could barely fit, to dissuade her Grunkles. It was pretty perfect.

After twenty minutes of fruitless searching, both old men went up the creaky attic stairs. The twins held their breath, knowing it would be moments before one of them was caught. The door opened, painfully slow, as the pair entered the make-shift bedroom. They could hear the end of Stan’s conversation as he peeked in the closet. “...it’s one of the only spots we haven’t checked, Sixer. One of them’s gotta be here.”

Ford entered a second later, checking under their beds. He was so close that Mabel went completely stiff, refusing to even blink before he stood up. “Those kids are good, I’ll give ‘em that. They’ve got your sneaky skills.” He got a pillow thrown at his head by a chuckling Stan. “Sure, sure. But they’ve got your smarts. I would’ve hid in a closet or somethin’.”

They were so nonchalant about the way they searched for the younger twins. It was like they thought it was a game. Well, everybody but Mabel thought it was.

Dipper looked at Stan, noticing how close he was getting to finding Mabel. He really didn't wanna be the first one caught, but he knew how badly his sister wanted to win. Sighing, he faked a cough, calling the attention of his Grunkles up. The things he did for her…

In seconds, two rough hands wrapped around his waist, yanking him down from his hiding place. “Gotcha!” Dipper barely had enough time to register that he was in Stan’s lap before five clawing fingers dug into his stomach. “G-GRUHUNKLE STAHAHAN!”

Ford chuckled, getting his fun in as well. He scribbled on and under the boy’s knees, all six digits doing something to get him laughing. It was unfairly ticklish. He almost regretted taking the L for Mabel. Almost.

“Hey Dippy, I got a deal for ya. If you tell us where your sister is, we’ll stop.” Oh, those cheaters! Mabel watched with wide eyes and Stan vibrated his clawing fingers into Dipper’s tum, keeping his arms above his head. She knew her brother had thrown his chance for her, but he still had to outlast the old men.

He wriggled and twisted in their arms, refusing to give in so easily; he wasn’t about to lose for nothing. “I- IHI CAHAHAN’T!” Ford snickered, squeezing his knees a bit more vigorously for emphasis. “Oh, but you can. Just say, ‘Oh, Mabel is hiding…’ and then you say it. It’s just that easy.”

So unfair… Dipper whined through his laughter, kicking as much as he could. Maybe a time limit on the tickles would have been a good idea… His Grunkles were obviously enjoying themselves, matching smirks on each of their faces. He didn’t hate it, per say, but it was much harder to stay sane when all three of them could see his reactions. 

It was…actually really nice of him to do that for her. Mabel would have to let Dipper DJ for the party. Waddles might be a little upset, but she was sure her pink companion would prefer snack table duty. 

Stan got a little impatient, deciding to be evil. He moved his bony fingers up to the boy’s armpit, digging into his hollows. Dipper let out a squeal that would put Waddles to shame. “NYAAAAHAHA! STAHAN! NOHO- *snrk* NOHOT THEHEHERE!”

Oooh, he went for Dipper’s bad spot. Mabel bit her lip as she watched her brother’s destruction: Ford teasing his knees while Stan went to town on his pits. She wouldn’t blame him if he gave her up, but dang it, she really wanted to win.

Right as Dipper was about to crack, the Nyan Cat theme song went off. Ford’s phone buzzed in his pocket, signaling that their half-hour was up. Mabel had won!

The girl sprung up from her mound of stuffed animals, startling both of her Grunkles. “HA! I won! Stan, go grab the basement key, I’m gonna make it rain glitter and gummy bears!”

Ford laughed, releasing Dipper’s legs as he watched his grand-niece celebrate. Stan sighed, setting the boy down on the carpet to curl into himself. “Okay, okay, ya won! Don’t need to rub it in, ya snot.”

 She chuckled, moving to hug her giggling brother. “Thanks for taking the loss, bro-bro. I officially crown you Head DJ.” He pumped a weak fist into the air, still giggling away the phantom sensations. Stan shooed her away, placing Dipper in his brother’s arms.

“You go get the dork some water. I’ll handle our winner.” Ford nodded, carrying the exhausted Dipper down the attic stairs. Stan cracked his knuckles before scooping Mabel up in his arms, holding her against his chest. “Congrats, ya snot. Here’s my favorite part of your reward…” 

He squeezed her side, making the sweater lover burst into bubbly giggles. She twisted and squirmed, eyes growing wide. “B-buhut Gruhuhunkle Stahan! Ihi wohohohon!”

He snorted, moving up to tease her ribs. “You did, yeah. Your brother got the worst of it; I’ll go a bit easier on ya. Congrats, you goober.” She whined, protests already forming on her tongue. “Thahat ihisn’t fahair! Sohore loser!”

Stan scratched and scribbled between each bone, acting as if it was just a normal conversation. “It’s totally fair. I don’t remember there being a rule against tickling the winner.” She scrunched up her nose, mock-glaring at him. “Thahat- youhu- uhuhugh!”  

It was adorable to see his relatives’ reactions. He loved to hear their laughs, see them smile, make them forget about the crazy lives they’d led for just a second. The whole “Weirdmageddon” fiasco had done a bit of damage. Stan took any chance he could get to make them feel like regular kids again. Dipper had already gotten his go; now it was Mabel’s turn.

“B-buhuhut- HEHEHEY! NOHOT THE PIHIHIHITS!” He poked her armpit, making the girl squeal. “It’s cute how you two share everything. Makes tickling the snot out of ya a whole lot easier.” It was gonna be a long day…

I've been feeling a bit burn out on pixel art, so I wanted to try out other things in the meantime, one of them being digital art, which I haven't done a complete piece since early 2020. Due to the workflow I chose I had fun doing this? even if it's a bit ugly... I may or may not make more

i tried a different brush for this one but i dunno if i like it now aaaaa

but oh well, how do you think I did? :O

imagine my surprise when the issue started WHOLESOME!!!!!! sure it was advertised as a baby issue but STILL!!!!! i fucking love cormorantpaw playing with them and giving them the childhood he couldn’t have, it makes me so happy. and he’s happy, too!! i’m sure if he heard what cootstorm said about them, he would have thrown hands. begging for more scenes of corm babysitting/playing with the kits, even in the bg. him being this happy about the babies being happy is just. AAA!!

of course, in patfw, wholesome bits can’t last forever. daffy is in the issue at what cost !!!! i love how she just casually drops it and YES I WANTED TO SEE HER REACTION BUT IT HURTS IT HURTS SO BAD. i love how complicated it is, daffodil’s feelings and pinepaw struggling to apologize due to how neither of them did wrong.. aagh. i love this causing daffodil to realize that she kinda forced herself to love cormorantpaw due to the circumstances, and her opening up about how she really thinks about romance! i know she deserves the love she can so easily give to others, and i love how just.. the cycle is still kinda referenced in this issue? not with dustfeather, but with cashew. i never thought we’d touch a cycle of abuse other than familial but i’m really happy we did now and it makes so much sense? abuse comes in many forms, after all!

mallowstar’s struggles of being a leader and blacknose’s struggles of being a mother, aaaaa. it’s so intertwined and so different and they really need eachother. also, more cycle discussion!!! mallowstar wanting to break free is sooo important to me, everyone needs that. hopefully the green isn’t defiance territory, though.. maybe if it is, throw cootstorm as a sacrifice and run

Hey, sometimes I do wholesome issues! They're not all depressing!

Cormorantpaw is the best babysitter ever, he's great with kids. He knows how to vibe on their level, and his lack of self-consciousness means he can really get into the spirit of a game or a kid's conversation.

PATFW when they ask me for emotional weight: hey what's all this emotional weight doing here??? Haha, I'm glad you liked the section with Daff, it wasn't always something I had planned to include in this issue but it ended up being necessary to resolve. Since Daff and Slugpelt are both very romantically-inclined characters (when Slug was young, at least), they share a lot of similar worries and needs, and having those problems that her mother faced unconsciously be consciously present in Daff's head has made her do a lot of thinking.

Mallowstar and Blacknose really are so good for each other, they're so sweet,, it's fun to write their interactions because it's just totally interpersonal drama-free. Mallow's been thinking about leaving for awhile, largely buoyed by Blacknose herself (the biggest BarrenClan radical), and I can confirm that the "western border" is opposite Defiance's territory, which is past the eastern border of BarrenClan territory. Hopefully they can get out in time!

But I can't end an issue in the second half of the comic without a little Horrors. :]

It's fun to describe them like this, with Sebastian facing yet another internal conflict, still longing for Ciel and his company and being mystified by it because Ciel's soul looks as unattractive right now as it could possibly be. Embracing a new role where he can allow himself to be rude and to say and do things he would have never allowed himself otherwise. And Ciel being so set on revenge and winning, hurt and upset, but still revelling in the brief moments of contact.

The fact that UH3 gets such a huge, huge amount of positive feedback still surprises me. UH3 technically started out as a rarepair PWP nonsexual smut fic in 2020.

Now it’s been a critical part of at least 2 aroace awakenings, several people’s introduction to nonsexual kink, and gets an almost constant flow of comments on everything from my portrayal of Alastor’s aroaceness to the Lucilith interactions to polyamory to cannibalism kink and aaaaa how did this happen??? It’s got fucking fanart, for fuck’s sake!

It amazes me every day.

18. What’s one of your favorite lines you’ve written in a fic?

Ok, so I don’t have the best memory and needed to actually go and find one. I kind of had one in mind, but then I came across this:

He had a laundry list of excuses – it was simply very enthusiastic blood drinking, lips are sensitive and very convenient to bite, tongues have a fun texture to chew, Lucifer tastes like heaven – but even that had backfired, the sheer number of them suspicious in itself.

And it was so fucking funny I just had to share. Alastor is so deep in his denial here it’s hilarious.

This was back in Bloodlust and Butterflies – Chapter 3 Blasphemy, when Alastor was still calling his make-out sessions with Lucifer “not-kisses.” He’s my favorite unreliable narrator. <3

"Moosefall! Come here!"

A voice from a gentle molly could be heard next to the nursery, the soft air from the evening emphasizing it. Moosefall turned his head around, startled to know if everything was alright with Salmonskip's kitting.

Silverbelly looked at the white tom hopefully from the entrance, a bright shining covering her eldery eyes as a soft smile formed her face. In a matter of seconds, the dark cat dissapeared, wanting the tom to enter the nursery by himself.

It wasn't as if Moosefall was really that cautious to disturb anyone in there, heck, he as any other cat in FallenClan WAS born there and grew up in the den's warmth until apprentice-hood took over their own age. This time however, was different; it was the first time he would go to see his new children! Maybe he would offer something for the tortie molly to recover faster, or perhaps play with the kittens once they're a few moons old (not for now, that is), or maybe request Maplestar to become a mentor of one of them, or-

'Alright.' - Moosefall thought, turning next to the nursery to enter it. 'Don't freak out yet, you haven't seen them for now. Besides, your mate wants you to spend some time with them at least.'

In the warmth inside of the nursery, a blue tortie cat, Salmonskip, could be seen. She has been planning this exact moment ever since she announced it to her mate. And now, there it was, all these long moons that looked like years for him to have them.

"Is a litter of two mollies and one tom!" Silverbelly announced, looking at the three kittens. They meowed constantly, with the exception of a certain ginger kitten, who instead stayed quiet. It didn't mattered, Salmonskip giggled at looking one of them kicking the two other littermates; they were blind for now, is not like they would see after all.

Moosefall ran through the leaves and looked at the kittens. Both Salmon and Moose's hearts felt like they were about to melt. Next to Salmon, Silverbelly went out from the den, understanding that the both cats would love to take some time before the queen could actually recover from the kitting.

"They're so..."

"Beautiful? I bet you would say that" Salmonskip giggled, he enjoyed making fun of the bi-coloroured cat lightly. Moosefall laughed as well, he enjoyed those jokes after all.

"Have you thought of a name for them yet?" Moosefall asked, raising his voice slightly in case if any of the kittens' meowings would be loud.

"Hm... I thought of two names" The tortie cat looked the brown kitten at first, who was struggling to snuggle up to her. "I think I will call her as Brackenkit"

He then looked at a ginger one, the same one who was quiet enough compared to the others. "I may call him as Foxkit, his fur reminds me of one."

However, for a specific molly-kit, Salmonskip didn't had anything for her. She was the most "aggressive" for her being newborn; going up to her siblings just to go to the molly's belly. Salmon's smile faded as worry invaded her, she didn't had any name ideas! He was supossed to think of one last moon!

Thankfully, Moosefall noticed his mate's worry, and as if a kittenhood memory approached him out all the sudden, he got an idea.

Something that had to do with an event it happened, back when he was just a kit, and has been in his head ever since...

He looked at Salmonskip, then down to the white and red newborn...

Then, after a few moments of thinking, eyerolls, and more thinking... he had the perfect name for her...

"Maybe... we can call her as Shrewkit, if that's okay?"

Aaaaa first time doing a Fallenfic and is about Moosefall viewing Salmonskip's kits!!!! Because I LOVE MooseSal/SalmonMoose and I crave for content of them.

Also, I enjoy the idea of Moosefall naming Shrekit as that because of his deceased sibling, who didn't made it to apprenticehood. I can't remember if her name WAS actually shrewkit though(? (I have terrible memory lol) but I think is very bittersweet :')

Also english isn't my first language so uhhh if there's any grammar errors is because of that lmao

MY FAVORITE RCP EPISODES AND WHY

(MY OPINION!!)

1- "Save Helly" The best episode in my opinion. We had worried rescue team + ANGST AND FLUFF + POLI??? I loved Poli in this episode a lot. He's not really my favorite but he gave me strong older brother vibes especially when he was helping Helly. Considering that the show is for preschoolers, this episode was genuinely so good? Tbh I just wish Jin would have showed up more. I would've loved to see her more worried for Helly since she's always yelling at him and stuff, but I'm still happy with what we got.

2- "Thank you, Roy". THIS EPISODE. I LOVED ROY HERE SO MUCH. THE ANGST, THE FLUFF, THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I'M OBSESSED. This is why the rescue team focused episodes are the best, because there are so many things you can do with them and their dynamic. I love the lesson it gives to kids, aka that you should always take care of yourself and stuff. And I also love how it sort of showed that the rescue team aren't all indestructible and can get hurt on the job. I don't really have much to say on it other than the fact that it was amazing and made me love Roy as a character even more.

3- "Amber's training". THIS EPISODE HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I love Amber sm she's my comfort character, my mother, my pookie bear, and I love episodes where she's the main focus. I loved how we got to see her vulnerable side and more of her personality and struggles in this episode. SHE JUST WANTED TO BE AS STRONG AS THE OTHERS AND PUSHED HERSELF TOO MUCH AAAAA. And I also loved the angst at the beginning and when she fell off that cliff and how she got hurt, and Jin and the others were worried, however the next part of the episode was kinda disappointing. She just got up like nothing happened and went to look at some infected trees. I really wanted her to get a more serious injury, so the others would need to take care of the doctor instead of the other way around and it would be such a cute plot. It would teach kids that you don't need to push yourself just because you don't succeed the first time, everyone learns on their own pace and Amber should've just trained slowly and not stress too much since she just ended up hurting herself badly, and honestly I'm so mad they didn't add that. (But fanfiction exists, maybe I should rewrite this ep with this plot?)

4- "Let's be honest" MORE HELLY ANGST. I loved how Roy went in to save Helly when he was in that fire and he was so worried and FUCKK ROY WAS SUCH AN OLDER BROTHER HERE AND HE TOOK THE BLAME WHEN JIN WAS MAD And then Helly got overwhelmed with all the fighting and flew away... So yeah it was a bit angsty and I love that.

5- "Helly's Birthday". Yet another Helly angst. This was definitely my favorite S1 episode. The plot was simple but really cute, I felt so bad for Helly, like imagine the people you care about the most forgetting your birthday, especially since Helly is most definitely a kid, or at least way younger than the others. THOSE ARE HIS PARENTS‼️But I can also sort of understand the rescue team. Considering all the shit the town puts them through, they were probably stressed and busy, especially Jin, so they just forgot. Still they apologized and all ended well (although I would've loved more angst)

6- "Poli's secret" I loved this episode because we learned something more about Poli and it's his FEAR! I love that he's afraid of caterpillars, giving him a silly fear like that was a good move and it gave the character more personality. Also the way the others teased him at the end was fun, I love how they're so comfortable with each other to joke around and tease each other too.

7- "Bicycle safety (traffic safety with Poli)" alright pls hear me out on this one... The traffic safety series is my guilty pleasure, like it's not good but I still enjoy it for some reason, (not as much as daily life safety with amber but I still like it) and this episode was super cute to me. Like we have this girl who can't ride a bike and Poli sees her struggling, stops patrolling and just teaches her how to ride a bike. she didn't even ask him to, he just decided to help her out of his own free will and I thought it was so cute and fluffy. Poli was so dad here. I really wish we could see more children like this instead of always seeing Kevin and doughy (or whatever his name is) since tbh I tolerated them at first but I don't really like them...
