Puppy | Shanks x Fem! Reader [ Part 2 ] ♡

Warning : English is not my first language !!

a/n : I didn't plan to write part 2 but a few people were asking for it , so here's part 2 !! This part might not be good and I had a hard time writing it but I tried ! (T▼T) Hope you enjoy!!

" Mama ... Can I play now ? "

Your son asks , a pencil between his lips , looking at you with puppy eyes , silently asking " please mommy " .

You laugh and rub his soft red hair , which is almost touching his shoulder .

" Okay but you have to come back at 5 " You answer and peck his forehead .

" Thanks mommy !! " He grabs the strawhat you made for him and runs out of the house . He wanted to have a strawhat like Luffy's that he winced about it everyday so you made it by yourself and gave him as a present for his 5 years old birthday .

You sigh and lean back against the back of the chair and close your eyes , your hand on your forehead .

You miss Luffy . Thinking about the time when everybody in the village was celebrating when his wanted poster came out and your son couldn't stop talking about how Luffy was so cool and awesome and he's going to be King of The Pirates soon but you told him it's not that easy . He was a big brother for your little son . Your son once told you that he wants to be like Luffy when he grows up .

You can't help but think about your son , how lonely he is since Luffy sailed away . You know he hides it because he doesn't want to make you sad . You always blame yourself for not making him happy .

There were nights when you couldn't sleep , depressed and lonely , but your beautiful son was there for you , you watched him sleep and ran your fingers through his hair , it always made you feel okay .

But still , you're so lonely ...

The only one that kept you going before your son was born was Luffy . And now you live for your son . At nights , you cry yourself to sleep , you were carrying a baby and no one was beside you .

It was all his faults ... you blame him . You hate him , you tried so hard to hate him but you couldn't ...

You love him . You still love him after all this ...

You love him so much , but you're not going to think about him anymore . You'll try not to ...

The small boy slowly walk along the shore , his little feets sinking into the sand , he squints his eyes , looking down at the sand , searching for small seashells . Suddenly the wind blows his hat off . The boy panicks , ready to run and get his hat back .

A person appears in front of him and grab the strawhat , the boy stops as he looks up at the person , his eyes widen as he smiles and runs towards the person .

" Here you go , little guy "

The boy hugs his strawhat close to his chest then put it on his head .

" Why is your hair looks the same as mine , Mister ? "

" Humm .. I don't know " " What's your name ,kid ? "

" Soma .. and you ? "

The man crouch down and smile at him .

" My name's Shanks "

" Come with me !! I want to thank you and my mommy makes the best meals in the world !! You're going to love it " Shanks eyes widen when Soma hold his hand and leads him towards the village .

Finally ... After years Shanks found himself standing on the land of Foosha Village again .

He couldn't wait to meet you ... to see your face again . It won't be easy , he didn't know what you've been doing after he left . Maybe you have someone new ? A boyfriend ? Or worse , what if you were a married woman and carrying someone's child ?He hate to think about it .. he wants you all to himself , but you're more important than anything , so he's happy if you're happy .

It wasn't even an hour when Shanks thought you'd slap him in the face when you see him but here he is ... sitting at the little dinner table with you and your son- No his son , the red hair said it all . He felt his heart dropped when he saw that boy from a far , he thought he was seeing his younger self . And that strawhat ...

God .. he feels bad . He feels so fucking bad for you .

He couldn't even imagine you dealing with all the problems alone . He wants to apologies , get on his knees , taking your hands in his , begging you to slap him , hit him so you feel a little better . But not now , he has to wait . He's ashamed of himself , he left you with nothing , didn't even know that you were carrying his son and now he's just sitting with you and Soma like nothing happened .

You avoid looking at him since he stepped into your house with Soma's hand holding his . Shanks eyes always following you and hoping you would look at him just for a second . But you didn't . You talk to Soma and smile whenever the boy answers the question , your eyes filled with love . You were acting like he doesn't even exist .

The dinner was awkward and uncomfortable for you . You felt a little sad because Soma's full focus was on Shanks . The entire time , Soma didn't even care that he brought a stranger Well , not exactly a stranger in the house . You are washing the dishes and Soma and Shanks are still are in the living room . Not typically a living room since your small house doesn't have a room except for the bathroom .

You look back slightly , to see what they were doing .

Soma is showing Shanks his notebook which is full of sketches . He loves to draw . Your eyes shift from Soma from Shanks , who's already looking at you . You froze and look away immediately .

Fuck ...

It was getting dark , Shanks decided that this is the time to speak to you .

" Alright, little guy . I'm going back now "

Shanks chuckles when Soma pouts , looking a little sad .

" But you'll come back tomorrow right !? We will play together " Soma looks at Shanks with hopes in his eyes . Shanks smiles softly and pat the boy's hat .

" Of course, we can play whenever you want "

" Yayyyy!! "

" It's bedtime , Soma " You speak from near the dinner table , looking down at the boy . You feel Shanks looking at you , but you just keep your eyes on your son.

" Okay , Mommy . I'll get clean up now " Soma

Shanks heart melts at his son's reply , Soma seems to love you as much as he do . His eyes shift from Soma to you .

" When did you return? " Your voice was loud in this little house , it was dark outside and almost too quiet since you live a little far from the village .

" This afternoon " He slowly get up and stands in front of you , you finally look up at him but say nothing .

His hand reach out to touch your cheek but you take a step back . The action clearly hurts him but he keeps his cool .

" Sweetheart- "

" Don't .. " You take a deep breath , looking down at the floor . Shanks keeps quiet , waiting for you to continue .

" You- You can't just come back like nothing happened . I was- Fuck- It was hard Shanks , I was all alone , carrying your child when you're away looking for some exciting adventure !! "

You tried to stay calm but thinking about those day when you struggled all alone makes you feel irritated . You didn't know you were crying until Shanks's thumb wipes them away . You cry even more when he hold you tightly , mummering apologies . " I'm so sorry , sweetheart . I'm really sorry . You can hit me all you like please don't cry " . You put your hand on his arm as he lightly kiss your temple . You pull away as he rest his palm on your cheeks .

" Please leave now , Shanks " You whispers . Shanks gives you a gentle smile . He looks at you before opening the door . " I love you " Then he leaves . You feels the urge to run after him and hug him tightly and say " I love you too " . But you hold yourself back .

" Mommy , are you okay ? " Soma is looking at you with worries in his eyes . You wipe your tears one more time before lifting him up and hugging him tightly . Soma giggles " Mommy , I can't breath ! "

You kiss his forehead before setting him on the bed . He immediately put his head on your chest and throw his leg over you as you lie down next to him .

" Mommy .. I'm sorry " Soma looks at you with sadness in his eyes .

" What ? Why baby ? " You frown .

" I know you told me not to talk to strangers but Shanks is different . I just knows that he's a nice guy when he looked at me and you looked mad during the dinner . I was scared that you'd mad at me . I'm sorry I didn't listen to you Mommy "

You heart melts , he is looking at you with puppy eyes just like his dad ... You smiles brightly and kiss him all over his face as his laugh filled the house .

" I could never be mad at you , honey . Thank you for worrying about me . I love you "

" I love you more " He kiss your cheeks and close his eyes .

When you open your eyes , the sun was already shining brightly . You groan and slowly get up from the bed . You can't even open your eyes fully because they are too sticky and you don't feel like opening it at all but you have work to do . You quickly take a shower ,wear a nice simple gown and kiss Soma's forehead .

" Wake up , Soma .. it's time for school " Well , it's actually not a school . A year ago , a young man moved to the village and requested to teach the kids how to read and write , which all the villagers gladly agreed . It took ten minutes to wake up Soma , you scolded him abit about it and he started looking at you with puppy eyes , he knows it's your weakness. You sighed when he finally gave up and agreed to go .

Your eyes widen as soon as you open the door . Shanks was standing in front of the door , holding a big bouquet . He's staring at you so deeply that it almost make you shy . He steps closer and hand you the bouquet . You don't say anything as you gently took it .

" Thank you ... " You whisper .

" Take a walk with me ? " He asks , looking at you with puppy eyes . You shouldn't be doing this . But you've missed him .. so fucking much . You though you were too tough and could've ignore him but in reality you just fell in love with him again .

" Okay "

Shanks , holds his arm out for you . You timidly slipped your arm through his as you both starts walking .

" I saw Luffy's poster " Shanks is the one who started the conversation . " He's a big guy now . I'm proud of him " He continues .

" Yes , everyone was so happy for him when the poster came out " You replied . Suddenly he stops walking , you look at him wondering why he stops but he's already looking at you .

His fingers touching yours before holding your hand tightly , foreheads almost touching as he took a deep breath before started speaking .

" I miss you sweetheart , so fucking much . I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you were pregnant , I didn't even know you were carrying my child- Fuck I'm such an asshole " He closes his eyes for a moment then continues to speak .

" I know it's not easy to forgive me but let me make it up to you .. " He hold your cheeks delicately , gazing into your eyes .

" It's no use , Shanks .. you're going to leave me again " You look down and says nervously , eyes starting to well up .

" Marry me " Your eyes widen , you feel like you can't move all of a sudden . What- What did he just say ? Did you hear it right ?? He chuckles and kiss your forehead . " What- "

" I said marry me , sweetheart " You're looking at him like he's crazy . " Come with me , there're many countries under my flag . I'll keep you and Soma safe " . You sniff , wiping your tears but they just keep falling down . Then Shanks face expression changes as he hold you in his arms tightly ,cooing you like you're a crybaby . After a while , you calm down but still sniffing and breathing heavily , Shanks holds your cheeks and lifts your face .

" So , will you- " You grab his face and kiss him before he could finish the question . He kisses you back , hard . Both of you have missed each other so much , the kiss become sloppy and messy . You pull away , Shanks tries to kiss you again but you push his shoulders slightly . He is breathing so hard , you giggle and kiss his nose .

" So when's the wedding ? "

- *minute passes, now it’s a green light*

- he’s looking at a newspaper while people behind you guys are honking

- you had taken sight of a beautiful monarch butterfly, cruising around just outside your window

- you didn’t even realize the light had turned green

- Mihawk was about to get out of the car and go punch some people for honking but then he realized the light had been green for minutes, and you two were holding up the biggest line of cars he’d ever seen

- “Y/n! It’s green-!”

- He undid his seatbelt and climbed into the seat with you, hitting his head on the ceiling while simultaneously giving himself a bad back

- he pressed the gas while you stared at the butterfly, and you snapped out of it when you realized the car was moving, and Mihawk’s huge ass was right in front of your face

- he sighed and kept driving forward until the light from before turned red right as he started going

- Cars from the right were about to crash into you too when you started screaming at him to go faster

- he was saying that to protect you, so that he would take most of the damage if you both were hit

- Luckily, you two made it to the next intersection just before getting hit, and there was a long silence in the car on the way home

Dropping some silly Shuggy content bc it's how I cope-

Shanks was found as a baby in a treasure chest. Buggy was semi-force-adopted off the streets at about 6/7. Roger really just went "Anyone gonna parent these kids" and was already signing pretend adoption papers furiously before anyone could so much as breathe.

The Roger crew tried to teach the boys school-like things, but Shanks HATED it while Buggy was just gobbling itt up like a dehydrated horse in a desert oasis.

Buggy LOVED reading (and still does in the present), but he has a soft spot for fantasy stories and fiction. He worries the others would make fun of him for it, but Shanks is Not Having That. He offers to be the one to ask for those books on the condition that Buggy read to him before bed. He acts put out and huffy about it, but Shanks can see him blushing every time he snuggles closer or asks a question.

Roger knows damn well about the truth bc he too sometimes joined story time. Buggy has that Performer Energy down to a SCIENCE.

It gets out eventually, and the crew tries to tease Buggy for it ((even though they didn't tease Shanks, and the redhead Will Remember That)). The guys ask if Buggy likes them bc he wants to be a princess, to which Shanks goes surprisingly nuclear, going on about how if Buggy was ANYONE'S princess, he'd be HIS because the princesses are smart, brave, strong and beautiful, and their knights need someone to be the brains and drive. Buggy is the brains and Shanks is his knight. Pirate princess and pirate knight!!

A few hours later, once he has successfully calmed Buggy down and Captain has punished everyone for bullying his kids, Shanks has the BRILLIANT idea of getting "married".

"Princesses can be flashy, but the warrior queen from the last book was SO COOL and I think you'd make a better queen than a princess because queens are SUPER SMART and lovely and strong and just like you!"

"You think so...?"

"Mmhm! So we just gotta make you a queen! How do princesses become queens?"

"Don't they get married?"

"Oh yeah! Then let's be married! That way you can be MY queen and I'll be YOUR king!"

They sneak into the treasury, looking for rings. There are none - at least, none that would fit. ((Shanks stole one for Buggy when they get bigger)). So they decide to do the next best thing!

They drag Roger onto the next island, make rings out of dandelions, have him officiate, and marry each other with flower rings so they're king and queen now. Then they make a wish on the dandelions.

They consider it their Real Marriage. It was officiated and everything, and they still refer to each other as Husbands ((or Wife when Buggy's feeling more femme)), and everyone is absolutely flabbergasted when it comes up in conversation.

Shanks lost his band when he gave his arm up for Luffy, but Buggy sent an 'anonymous' gift with a replacement. He wears it on a necklace now.

Buggy wears his ring on a necklace as well, or sewn into the inside of his hat or in a jewelry box he keeps under lock and key, depending on the day.

The breakup they had post-execution was smoothed over, they have an open marriage, and they still love one another in the sweetest, most cavity inducing way imaginable.

((PS, Luffy, once crowned King, mentions to Shanks that he was the closest he had to a dad. While Shanks I'd emotional, Luffy grins at Buggy and goes "so should I call you mom or dad?"))

Shooting me would've been less painful than reading this because now I am sobbing crying and shaking on the floor and I will never forget this. The whole concept about Buggy loving to read and Shanks doing it for him always makes me go insane, but the crew making fun of Buggy and Shanks protecting him without hesitating? Not even once? And telling him that they should get married? Okay. Wow. Okay. I need a second. Because this is just,,, So sweet. And Roger and Rayleigh would literally die when they told them about the idea. Like they would probably have a tiny heart attack from how cute these kids are. Rayleigh would probably go "Isn't it a bit too soon? Think about it first you idiots-" but Roger is already planning everything because his impulsive romantic ass can't wait for his kids to get married lmfao. Also, non-binary/genderfluid Buggy my beloved because me too, Buggy, me too.

How op men react to an s/o with really bad periods

Triger warnings: period and Simi fainting

this is kinda a comfort fic for me, im suffering through my period and its ruff. sorry if y/n falling to the floor in pain seems over dramatic but its just how my period like to roll so here we are.

Shanks

This man is very patient with you. He sits there with a smile on his face,well you bitch and moan about how shity it is . He can't help but think it's adorable when you get so over dramatic about your period. He has seen you grin and bear it through pain, you usually act calm, cool and collected when you're suffering, so it takes him by surprise when you're a big cry baby about this. He's glad that you don't feel like you have to suffer through it alone and trust him enuff to go to him to just complain or if you need help.

The first time you had your period around him He didn't quite understand how much pain you were actually in. He thought you were just playing it up. It only hit him how much it hurt when you crumpled to the ground hissing curling up on yourself. He froze in that moment, watching you just breathe in and out slowly trying to breathe through the cramps. Then he rushed forward and picked you up holding you to his chest whispering sweet nothings to you as the wave of cramps listened up.

He adores you so much and hates seeing you in pain. He will tease you a little bit about it but the moment he sees that you're not having any of it he drops it. He won't make a big deal about giving you special treatment when you're like this. more cuddling, getting you sweets, making you laugh whenever he can, and staying close to your side as much as he can. He wants to be right there if you topple over again. He won't say it out loud but you scared the shit out of him when you did that.

He kinda finds it funny when he finds you in weird places and or positions that help your cramps. Whether it's laying on the kitchen floor because the cold feels good on your back or sitting with your legs up against the wall and back on the floor because it's the only thing that's helping with your cramps in the moment. He usually just joins you and begins talking your ear off to distract you from the pain.

Marco

You always try so hard to keep the fact you're on your period a secret. The men of the Moby dick find periods gross and don't get what's the big deal since it happens once a month you should be used to it. You do your duties and do your best to be your normal self. You would not just up and tell Marco or realy anyone what you were going through.

Marco would notice the little cracks in your facade, the wincing when you thought no one was around or the fact you took longer to do your chores. He'd start getting really concerned when you started spending most of the time in your room. His first thought is not that you're on your period, it's that you got hurt and weren't telling him. He'd be pissed that you hadn't come to him to get patched up.

He would try to wait for you to come to him but after a day of watching you suffer in silence He'd confront you. When he saw your face flush and start to fumble with your words he would think he caught you. Before you could realy explain He'd be dragging you to his clinic, calling you an idiot and a moron the whole way there. He would adamantly state, "I'm the doctor on this ship you can't go around hiding wounds from me, how am I supposed to patch you up if I don't know your hurt yoi"

Once their He'd grab his med kit and damned you show him your stomach. Watching you he was pretty sure that's where the Injury was.

You would lift up your shirt and say, "I'm not hiding a cut or something," you would sigh looking anywhere but his eyes, "just on my period." You'd mumbled.

Marco would face-palm, ofcores that was what was up. You weren't the type to definitely hide injuries out of embellishment. He'd reach out his hand and set it over your stomach letting his flames like over your skin. "Still you should have come to me." He'd huff.

After he knew what was going on He'd be just the sweetest. Getting thatch to make you chocolaty things and soothing your cramps with his phoenix fire. He would tell you that, "I'm a doctor, your period isn't gonna gross me out, please let me help you." He will make sure you're taking pain pills as often as you can and help you with your duties if you were in too much pain to do them.

As a doctor he would understand how bad your period could get and he would make no complaints if you demanded to stay near him since his phenix fire was the best way to treat the pain. This man would secretly be bragging to the other crew members that he is your favorite and that's why you were hanging out with him so much.

Law

He would know that you were on your period the day you started, he wouldnt mention it but keep an eye on you. He would not be the kind to pamper you, not at first at least. He would think she’s had thes for years she can handel it. He would definitely slip you chocolate’s and make sure you had enuff pain killers.

He would probably keep his distance from you. He cares about you but the fact he couldnt help you would piss him off. He hates seeing you in pain, and hates that he can't help. He would get snippy with the crew and work himself harder.

His work would be disrupted by bepo rushing in a bit of a panic, saying you had walked into the kitchen then just crumped to the ground, sitting their for a minet befor geting up and acting like nothing happened. Law would sigh and get up from his desk befor telling bepo hed hadel it and you were fine or atleast going to be.

He would find you in your room curled up on your bed with almost nothing on, just a shirt and some panties pants just felt like a hassle pulse it isn't like you were gunna be wondering around the ship like this. You were a though cookie and usaly just worked through pain so seeing you like this did worry law. He would bite his lip and curse himself for being so caught up in his own emotional pain to properly take care of your physical pain.

He would slip into bed with you and hold you in his arms. He’s not a very cuddly person so this would be a big display that he was worried about you. He would just hold you and apolagize for not being abel to take away the pain. He would love to take the pain on himself, he knew he could handel it, but that just wasn’t the way his powers worked. He thought about swapping harts with you for awhile, but hew knew how long it would take you to lern his devil fruit to revers it.

After that he would keep you close to him, sure it hurt that he couldnt help her as much as he wanted but being around you made you feel better so it was worth it. He would still be quite snippy with the other crewmembers but would treat you gently.

Mihawk

He would have no clue how to act around you. He was wit you because you were strong and he respected you, so seeing you reduced to a shambeling mess kinda upset him. He would at first act like he didnt notce any thing was wrong. He tought it would save your pride. He would flinch any time you let out a pained noise. He cared so much about you that you being in pain was awful.

He would wait for you to ask for comfort, its not that he didnt want to comfort you, its that he didnt want to insult your pride or your strength. He knows you are a tough girl, he also knows you arnt afraid to ask for help when you need it. Prona would think hes being an ass, and would let him know.

When you finaly came to him you wouldnt exchange words, all you would do is climb into his lap. He would set his wine glass aside and hold you to his chest, gently rubing circles on your lower back. He would whisper praise to you in spanish calling you brave or strong, he knew you didnt speek a lick of spanish so you couldnt yell at him for being to soft.

You would know that he was being soft and gentle and were willing to be treated like glass at the moment. You need it and you wold just sit and take it in.

After you came to him like this he would start to pamper you, running you a bath every night, rubbing your back, bringing your favorit foods. He would certainly be a little over protective to, hoovering around you when you were doing pretty much anything.

Porrona would have no clue why he had so drastically changed his attitude. She would cross her arms and puff out her cheeks calling him an unconsiderat jerk. Why was he like this?

If you ever dropped from the pain you better believe hed hold you for the rest of the day. He would never admit it was because he was scared of getting hurt, he would give you excuses like, “can i not just hold you, miamore?” or “ but if i put you down who wil worm my chest?”

He secretly loves when your like this, when you are relying on him so much. He knows your stong and fully capsule of taking care of your self but he liked having the chance to pamper you and remind you that you can alway lean on him.

Kid

He is completely grosed out by the whole thing. He can't handel the sight of bloody tampons or pads so you better wrap them up tight with toilet paper. He will kinda avoid you, your relation was not just sex but a hell of alot of it was, and he dosent like that he can't fuck your brains out.

He would order his crew to get you what ever you need or wanted. He will make them treat you like a princess. If he so much as herd them complaining about it they would be in a world of pain. This guy sees you as his so you can't disrespect what belongs to him.

Kid is a ruff guy but would not like seeing you in pain like that. He is the only one aloude to cause you pain. He would kill any one who put a hand on you it was bull shit that he couldnt just rip your uterus out and see your pain go away. He knew that you werent playing up your pain up. You never once would show the full force of how bad anything was, so seeing you show any display of pain ment you had to be in sirius pain.

He would honestly freek if you ever just dubbeled over infront of him, the look of pain on tour face the tears in your eyes, would feel like a stade wound to him. He would pick you up off the floor and not put you down. He would not sugar coat why, “Your falling over like your a fucking nobel who got dirt on their clothes, like hell i'm putting you down. If i did youd probably keel over and die.”

If you ever asked for him to cudel with you hed make a big fuss but would give in pretty eazy. He probably wouldnt fight you at all if the two of you were alone but infront of his crew he had to much pride.

Zoro

He has no clue whats going on with you. He dosnt like the fact that you seemingly pulled away from him and started talking to that damn cook more. He would defntly be cross wiht you and draw away from you. He was a stubborn man. If you were gunna pull away from him then hed do the same. He wouldnt notice the pain you were in at all.

He would make a bitchy comint about you around nami and robin. Nami would punch the shit out of him. She would be pissed that he thought you were two timing him with the cook. Shed say, “If this is how you act when shes on her period then maby she should leave you for snaji.”

zoro would look at her so confused, “What the hell is a period?”

Both Nami and Robin would be on their asses laughing. Once they calmed down enuff they would explain what a period was to him. They would also explain that you have some of the worst periods they’d seen.

He still dosnt realy get it but is no longer mad at you. He starts harassing the cook for chocolate since robin and nami said girls like that when their on their periods.

If you just dropped from the pain hed panic a littel. Hed pick you up and rush you to chopper. He would not listtel to you when you told him, “Its ok, i just got hit with some realy bad cramps.” he would set you on chopper’s exam tabel and damned he fix you.

Chopper would ofcores know about your situation, hed ask if you hade taken your pain pills on time or if you need more. He would get you a heating pad and tell zoro that you fine, with tears in his eyes. Chopper feels awful he can't do more.

Zoro would be so ok with more cuddles. You may not look at him and think hes a cuddly guy but he can't get enuff of sungeling up with his s/o. He loves being abel to hold you and feel like hes protecting you from the world.

Sanji

This wonderful cook instantly knows when your on your period. He honestly dosnt mind when your on your period, he sees it as a chance to pamper you like the princess he knows you are. He loves cooking your favorit food’s fore you. He will whip up what ever dessert you want. He also try’s to feed you foods that will reduce inflammation.

He always want to hold you so you wanting to be held more is a win for him. He gives you back maseshes as often as he can. He loves being abel to bring you relife, though it may seem like some of his actions are sexula they arnt all he wants is to take your pain away. He will barrow books from chopper and read up on the best ways to treat periods. He would probably be willing to let you bathe in his blood if it ment you were no longer in pain.

Sanji would full on scream the first time the pain sent you to the floor. He would have a hratatck. He would rush to your side and pull you to his lap begging you to be ok. You ofcores had worned him this could happen but it didnt realy prapar him fore it. Once he was sure you werent going to die he would pick you up and bring you to the bath.

Hed run you a bath and sit with you in it. He would hold you and just be with you. He loved you and wouldnt dare leave your side when you needed him.

I have headcanons like this kinda here I have the 'disadvantages' and 'advantages' of dating OP Chars but I am willing to something like this too!

Ace: GREEN and RED Why? If you know how to handle the temper, baggage, and self-esteem issues he’s a green. If you want something simple and trouble-free then baby, he ain’t that. He will be asking you if you’re mad at him 12 times a day and will fistfight a wasp on a whim. He’ll also throw hands at himself on a regular basis.

Marco: GREEN he’s very laid back and if you managed to piss him off, you are probably a red flag.

Thatch: GREEN just look at that wholesome loaf.

Izou: RED he will destroy you if you even make a cup ring on his oak table.

Sabo: You might think with that smile he’s a GREEN but oh my God, he’s a RED and if you piss him off you better run or know someone way more unhinged than him. Also, his wardrobe, I could give him a pass if he didn’t look like a Victorian mass murderer.

General thoughts

sooooooooo looks like i over did the word limit for the reaction block....woops

anyway, i had a lot to say about this episode and i think it is very easy to understand my sentiments over it (though how coherent is debatable). this episode was nice and i liked that we got to do a heist with the mob!

however, i was really bothered with nathan this episode. maybe it has to do with the mis-mashed continuity and maybe this nathan is just an earlier characterization of him. but yeah after the horse job and the miracle job, the nathan for the episode just confused me and annoyed me. he got better towards the end, but just...idk i wasn't of fan of him today.

overall, i did enjoy the episode and i liked how they played on cliches when it came to the mob (the italian restaurant, the daughter's wedding, the voice™️).

One Piece Chapter 1057 - Initial Thoughts

And we appear to be at our end

The Wano arc/Yonko saga is finally concluding after several years. It's had its highs, its lows, its criticisms and its unresolved questions but for now, whatever you thought of the arc, it is time to end

So let's get to this, the penultimate saga is about to end

Spoilers for the chapter, support the official release also

Unsurprisingly, looks like Caesar's gonna use his powers to subdue Katakuri and Oven. I wonder if Baeju's immune to his poison gas?

With a chapter called 'Final Curtain', it makes sense that the story ends on a stage, as Wano tells its citizens an - at least dramatized - version of the Wano story via Kabuki

So the big controversy out of the way, Yamato is not becoming Nakama.

I do at least have to applaud Oda for not giving into peer pressure but it is a gutsy move given how popular he is, I'll talk about it in the end given how bullets have a word limit

But it seems Yamato is instead gonna stay in Wano, enjoy his freedom by touring the country first

I'm all for him staying if he's gonna re-enact Oden, because then he's gonna have to start another Harem War and that just sounds hilarious

Momo and Kin'emon are still offended though by being snubbed, even going so far as to almost turn on the Straw Hats for doing so

The trio do make it to the port (ironically Tokage port, the port the raid was initially going to take place from because of Kin'emon's misread) just before the three captains set sail

Sanji can you please respect that Yamato is a dude?

Luffy got the double tackle with Yamato and human Momo

Obviously Luffy is very simple about it, the snub doesn't matter if they're meeting now

Momo though asks Luffy not to leave, tears pouring and kinda doing the Wano face, noting how he'd feel lonely without them

Of course, Momo's gratitude gets to Franky, the waterworks are also getting to Chopper and Nami

The crew had been waiting for him though, because they've prepared a gift: a flag

Cute that Luffy thinks of Momo like a baby brother too, guess the ASL family grows exponentially

With the flag hung over Wano, Luffy effectively makes Wano his territory, which offers a similar manner of Yonko-based protection for them

Also seems like while they're not 'Nakama' there are open invitations for Momo, Kin'emon and Yamato to join the crew when they want to

The ship sets sail as the trio say their goodbyes, Momo declaring he will surpass Oden - not Yamato as he asks, actual Oden

Nami's still kinda wearing her samurai armour XD

Nami does set them to go to Hakumai, using the lift instead of the waterfall

But Kid antagonizes both Luffy and Law by calling it the safe option

'Luffy don't', 'Luffy No!' - but alas, Luffy Yes XD

The irony of the kabuki play making them out to be 'wisdom kings' when they're truly idiot kings

Big Mom is getting treated fairer in this play by being called a 'yokai possessed giant oiran'

Looks like there was more to the Orochi climax according to the story, as the severed burning head spews his last venom of vengeance, cursing Wano with his vengeance for eternity

Bruh you and Kanjuro clearly didn't have kids, where these generations gonna come from?

Hiyori declares 'Kurozumi means charcoal, it was born to burn' to Orochi, which appears to perish him for good, not sure if it's some magic or she used her fan to buff up the fire but I guess it is part of a retelling

An ending narration and a group shot of the remaining Akazaya, Shinobu, Tama and Yamato signifies the end of the play

And the curtain now closes on Wano

Added Uta spot for baby Uta crying and Shanks assembling his commanders to help. Clearly Benn is the dad of the group but Shanks finds the answer in using a merry song, fans have speculated who the woman was- some suggesting it's Luffy's mother - but I feel like it's just Uta's mother, she does look similar after all

So that's the end of Wano

It was a nice end to a great arc I thought. Yes, it isn't perfect, I'd have loved to see Zoro visit Ryuma's grave, some confirmation on his heritage, and Nidai Kitetsu have been a greater part in it, same for Onimaru and the other Heart Pirates, but other stuff like BM and Kaido's living status, Pluton, Underwater Wano, Zoro's encounter with the reaper etc. doesn't necessarily need to be revealed in Wano, there's time for that in another arc.

So let's talk Yamato. I'm not broken up about it, the explanation is satisfying because, unlike Carrot's deal last chapter which I still hope she refuses and stows away on the Sunny again, he shows that he wants to do this, to overcome some naivete and just live as a normal person. It's not a bad deal either, but like Inu and Neko it does kinda diminish Momo's resolve when fighting the admiral. Additionally, I doubt this is the last we've seen of Yamato, the extended invitation is left there so he can set sail when he's ready, which is fine, one of the reasons I had against Yamato joining was that he lacked a purpose for the crew, staying in Wano and learning more things means he can search for a purpose and resolve. I know people will still not like it, which is why it's such a gutsy move from Oda to do it, but I respect this outcome more than the Minks' last chapter because it feels more sensible.

I guess MomoAndKin4Nakama people got sent through it too, but I never did buy into Momo joining the crew tbh, he declared he wanted to be Shogun it'd be bad for him to abandon that. I feel like people still mistake his story as being one that steps into Oden's shadow when really it's him stepping out of it, he's gonna become his own man and lead his way. Kin'emon also has his wife, and with Zoro taking his techniques there wasn't much else he could offer.

On the plus side, making Wano the first official Straw Hat territory is the right way to go, though of course Luffy sees it more of a warning flag it is a good resolve to make up for the power gap, Fishman Island do need to follow suit soon, I could see Zou, Dressrosa and Alabasta considering it also.

I did like the light tone and comedy the chapter brought, the added Orochi stuff didn't quite land for me though, I get it's supposed to be emphatic that Hiyori's saying Orochi was born to burn, but she did kinda curse out his entire clan, there could've been good Kurozumi after all, plus it doesn't roll off the tongue as neatly as Oden's born to boil claim. Really if there needed to be an emphatic epilogue to the Hiyori stuff it should've been Hiyori finishing off Orochi rather than delivering another speech, too much drama not enough revenge.

But the three crews sailing away, their bittersweet separate ways, and the visual of a happy Wano before the curtain closes is a nice ending, and the finality of it does set up the idea that the entire tone is going to shift into the final saga

for that, we must wait another week though: the beginning of the end.

Would he still call her daughter if she implemented her plan? She had thought this darkness was gone but grief had widened the hole where it was no longer hidden by the boulder she had placed to keep it sealed.

Rya looked at the goddess then peeked the baby in her jacket. He looked so small and full of future. Her heart pinged just a little. The baby reminded her of when Thaddeus was that small.

"Mind his head." She said softly. "May I?" She said motioning to hold the child. Maybe it was her motherly instincts but, that little face, she couldn't help but have such a soft look on her face.

My #1 post of 2022

Honestly. Thinking of shelving rya. Hanging up my hat. It's hard enough writing on tumblr as is. But with rumors and shit still ruminating about me or my muse. Getting blocked because shes not what they envision writing with, etc. Practically begging anyone to rp. I want to cry.

Rya is/was in herself a part of me. I've had her since Yu Yu Hakusho. Maybe since inuyasha. Writing her as she is now, I think I've come full circle.

Most people want a polite, sweet innocent character especially if it is an OC. OC characters are the hardest to write. Even more female. Harder still one damaged and still ready to kick ass, that has mental health issues.

Yes, she is a violent bitch. Yes, she is lustful. And God's yes, she's got a bit of a dark, twisted brood mode that I really don't like writing her in because it's too close to Doflamingo level madness for my liking.

But she is a morally gray character, trying to survive. Maybe it's time I go on hiatus again because trying to get people to write with is feeling too much like a job. This is supposed to be fun.

It’s almost nice having someone worry, as Zoro tends to go at a chiller pace (he cares, but he knows pregnancies are common so like, can’t be that bad right? Oh, Zoro-). He also hopes it’s a girl so he can spoil her and make sure she never gets married!

Nami has to hold him back to stop him from objecting at your wedding, a quick “Sanji-jun~” and the man finally shutted up- (was also the caterer of your wedding, will not let you settle when brother is best chef!)

Thought he was dreaming at first when he heard the news, mumbling an “ow” as he hit himself made him realize how real this was. Now he just looked annoyed, like he had missed a scheduled nap.

Will question your sanity on how you could fall for the pervert cook, asks Chopper to check you too, to see if you are sick in the head. Once it’s been shown you are mentally sane, he has given up on you completely, it’s all Black Leg’s fault-

He gets dragged to the wedding with the promise of booze (make sure there is booze though because if Sanji has his way, it will be an alcohol free wedding just to be spiteful). Get him drunk enough to pass out or not understand what objection means.

The uncle who acts like he doesn’t want to be there, but the kids love him and he low-key likes it. Don’t leave him alone with the kids though, because he will teach them how to use a sword-

Will still argue with Sanji and the kids love it, I headcanon that the kids will pick him over Sanji just to get a reaction out of their dad, and Zoro secretly lives for it! Will forever have a smug smirk on his face.

Dracule Mihawk

He honestly doesn’t mind it as much as you think, he respects Shanks enough to know he is a good hearted man who would love and respect you. Plus my dude doesn’t get angry that easily and sees you as an adult who can make her own decisions.

Will wish you the best of luck and attends events respectfully, will not let Shanks have fun and drink, he’s a father now and needs to act like one. Will be a great influencer for Shanks to take parenting classes, like he goes with him and the teacher thinks they are a couple- it’s cute!

Will attend the wedding and clap, Shanks asked him to be his best man jokingly, but he refused, you had already picked him to be your man of honor. Shanks will then ask if he will wear a dress and Mihawk just gives you The Office look.

He comes to the birth, but stays in the hospital lobby like a normal person would, waits until he is allowed to see you and the baby. Shanks will cry on his shoulder the entire time about how you hurt his only good hand, again he questions what he did wrong in his past life.

That uncle who just nods at the kid and the kid is like “Wow so cool-”, your child now wants to be a swordsman pirate and begs Mihawk to teach them swordsmanship. Refuses until they are old enough to understand the meaning of having a sword and it’s true purpose, strict cool uncle!

“Red Hair” Shanks

Is honestly so happy for you! Man has no qualms with Mihawk and is excited to be his brother-in-law (Mihawk now stays up at night, truly questioning what he did wrong in his past life-)!

Wants to go to the wedding so badly! Will beg/ask to be Mihawk’s best man, he agrees but only because he cannot think of anyone else, Shanks says it’s because they are friends, Mihawk just stares down at his feet wondering where he went wrong-

Shows everyone that baby ultrasounds! Even if it’s not his child, it’s his niece/nephew and in Shank’s world that’s close enough! Will also beg/ask to go to the baby’s birth, Mihawk finally puts his foot down and refuses, not wanting anyone to see you in such a vulnerable state.

Gets drunk at the wedding and sings “Kumbaya” and other songs, says there is so much love in the air it wants him to settle down and find a lover. Mihawk just wanted a nice quiet wedding, why did he have to come?

He’s older now so he’s much better with kids, knows now not to give them a knife, but still shouldn’t babysit, he will teach them things no parent wants their child to know (”How did you manage to climb that high? I hid the cookies so well too-”).

c!Tommy and c!Tubbo x Parental!GN!Reader (PLATONIC) (FLUFF) (HEADCANON)

♡Au setting: Au where the war doesn't exist and everything is fairly normal but relationships are still rather strained.

♡You met Tommy and Tubbo a few years back while helping their fathers with a few errands, and a year after meeting them you were requested to babysit them while their fathers were off on bussiness meetings/adventures. You once asked why their assistants or siblings couldn't take care of them and the answer they gave you was simply, "We need a more... responsible person for this." You had to stop yourself from laughing at the answer.

♡The two of them were really close even before you entered the picture and you found their friendship to be rather ironic considering their fathers hated each other. Though, unlike others who thought the same as you, you didn't judge them or pressure them into thinking too much about it, choosing instead to encourage their bond and in doing so, you were already in their good books.

♡Their interest in you only grew when you started to take care of them. You didn't baby them like other adults but you also didn't push aside their problems like they were just small issues, you listened and had compassion and empathy while you did so. They like how you cared for them when it seemed like not many others, even their own family, did.

♡Your kindness and protectiveness over them didn't make it hard for them to start seeing you as a parental figure in their life, one they can run to if they were feeling down and in need of some sort of comfort. They can trust that you won't push them away or judge their opinions.

♡Tommy tends to be rather open about his feelings around you, dropping his tough guy act to confide in you about things in his life that are affecting him pretty negatively. Besides Tubbo, he also feels rather comfortable crying in front of you, knowing that you'll still see him the same even while he's hugging you and crying his eyes out.

♡Tubbo opens up to you about a lot of things as well. As optimistic as he is, sometimes he asks you if things will be better when his days seems dimmer than others. You and Tommy are always there to remind him that yeah, they will! You two will always be by his side to make it better too, but you also remind him that there's no shame in having bad days either. That sometimes it's okay to not be okay.

♡Tommy is the first to slip and call you his parent in front of others, much to his embarrassment. It doesn't help that Tubbo was immediately into the idea, following what Tommy said with a, "CAN WE CALL THEM OUR MOM/DAD/PARENT NOW!?" Thankfully you weren't actually around when the situation occured but word does travel fast and the moment you knew you pulled them into a big hug, struggling to hold back tears while the two of them wondered what they did to get such a reaction. It's only when you mention how happy you are that they're your boys that they finally realize what you now know. They didn't seem to deny it though, just accepting the fact that well, now they're your boys and you're their parent.

♡Oh my god are they clingy, so very clingy. Seriously, you thought that their clinginess from their adolescense was a phase but it wasn't. These two don't like it when you talk to other people, ESPECIALLY IF THE PERSON YOU'RE TALKING TO IS SOMEONE THEY DISLIKE. A very good example of this is Dream, poor man can't get more than a few sentence in before two kids are dragging you away to see something 'random' they found.

♡For some reason, Tommy and Tubbo decided one day that if you're ever going to date anyone, it might as well be someone they genuinely like. When Tommy was younger he used to try to get you to date Wilbur or Techno, but that didn't seem to work, much to his relief once he got older (you became pretty good friends with them though).

♡Nowadays, they seem to be trying to hook you up with Sam, which you two find hilarious. You two decided to humour them and give it a shot. The both of you weren't all that surprised when you two did get along quite well but decided not to jump straight into a relationship, wanting to get to know one another a little more. Tommy and Tubbo beg for a clear answer regarding what you two are but you two have fun giving them unclear answers and frustrating them.

♡You three once found a flower biome not far from where you lived and decided to make a small farm over there. Tubbo was the one who was most excited for the farm since a lot of bees resided there. Sometimes, when you're finished with your farm work, you can find Tommy and Tubbo sleeping under a tree with bees buzzing softly around them, almost watching them with fascination. It's cute enough that you dragged Puffy and Sam all the way to the farm for them to witness it too (pictures were definitely taken and fawned over by the three of you).

♡Speaking of Puffy and Sam, you three made a children protection squad and once even wore shirts you guys made as a joke. Tommy and Tubbo were incredibly embarrassed to see you three parading around wearing those shirts with everyone knowing exactly who you three were talking about. A part of them deep down were rather happy about it but they've decided that they're taking that secret to their graves lest you three decide to do that again.

♡All in all, the two of them love you very much and will not hesitate to shank a bitch for you, they can feel that way in confidence too, knowing you'll always do the same for them in return. You reassure them constantly that no matter what, you'll always be there for them and really, with the family troubles they have back home, that's really all they want and they're happy you can give them the stability they so desperately need.

A/N: Lord, I am just a straight up sucker for parental content- I just get soft with kids and familial stuff, please don't kill me- I had someone request parental reader for Tommy and Tubbo but I lost it so I am very sorry for that, anon! I've been thinking. Would Anakin and Padme actually be good parents?????

Like, think about this realistically.

Anakin already has a kark ton of problems. For one, he does NOT know how to love unpossessively. Two, he is already super controlling and kinda toxic(?).

If he leaves the Jedi Order to be with Padme and the twins, he would never learn the difference between attachment and love.

(And yes there is a freaking difference. Love is when you care about someone to the point where you want them to be happy, even if it's not with you. Attachment is when you 'love' someone so much that you can't stand the thought of that person being with someone else that isn't you. There is a very clear difference. Even George Lucas said it in a few interviews.)

Like, I'm pretty sure Obi-Wan tried to teach Anakin the difference, but Anakin just never understood it or didn't want to accept it. Anakin wasn't raised in the Temple. He wasn't taught Jedi beliefs and the difference between love and attachment on a daily basis by the creche masters. Instead, he had been freed from slavery, separated from his mother, Qui-Gon got killed, and he experienced a MASSIVE culture shock once he was accepted into the Temple, and he had been paired with an (although good) unwilling master AKA Obi-Wan who only accepted Anakin as his student because of Qui-Gon's final words.

Yes, I know, they do eventually develop an actual strong relationship, but the main reason Obi-Wan fought for Anakin to become his padawan in the first place was because of Qui-Gon. The only reason why Anakin was even accepted into the Order was because of Qui-Gon and later, Obi-Wan's insistence to keep his promise to Qui-Gon.

(Also? Really Qui-Gon? You had nothing to say to your Padawan who was basically your son? Even when you appeared in the Clone Wars, you hardly even cared about Obi-Wan, you just obsessing over Anakin. Like, I get that he's the 'Chosen One' or whatever, but I don't care. You don't treat your apprentice/son like that. And then you had the audacity to force a guilty and crying Obi-Wan who was holding your dying body to promise to train Anakin Skywalker, who Obi-Wan didn't even like for that matter? Like? Bish, you ungrateful nerfherder.)

As I said, Anakin doesn't understand how to love like securely and non-possessively. He was probably taught it by Obi-Wan and the rest of the Jedi, but that information clearly went through one ear and straight out the other.

Maybe Anakin would be a good parent for the first few years of Leia and Luke's lives, but the moment puberty hits? BAM! Helicopter parent right there!

This mainly concerns Leia because in Anakin's mind, she's a girl, she's not a trained force-sensitive, so she can't protect herself, and she's HIS daughter, she shouldn't do this or that, she can't have this or that. She can't have male friends, she can't hang out with any guys, etc. Because Anakin doesn't want Leia to not spend time with him or not be there constantly. He's controlling and he wants to control her life. Like I said, she is HIS daughter, not her own person (scroll all the way to the bottom for an explanation). He'd likely refuse to let Leia go to any parties, talk to any boys, or even have a basic social life.

Things might be a little different for Luke. Anakin might not be as controlling but will still be controlling to some degree.

Moreover, Padme would NOT reign him in or even stop him. She's already shown in AOTC and ROTS that she is perfectly willing to make excuses for any and all of Anakin's bad terrible decisions even though the evidence is right there in front of her face.

Like, she seriously tryna make me believe that killing a ton of innocent people in the Tusken village is good? Sure, maybe SOME of them might have deserved it, but all of them? No, they didn't, especially not the poor innocent kids. Like, Padme, is you good in thy head or not? You ain't see no red flags?🚩🚩🚩 anybody?

Also, in ROTS, she knows that Anakin is fully capable and willing to kill innocent people if he believes someone he loves is in danger/dead, but when Obi-Wan tells her what Anakin did in the Temple to the Younglings, she tryna act all slick like, "I don't be knowing what you talkin about", even though she clearly does. She seen Anakin confess what he did to the Tuskens and now she tryna lie? And on her death bed, she tryna convince me and Obi-Wan that Darth Vader is still good, like, did the dude NOT just strangle you and kill a bunch of innocent people?

I may be dumb, but I'm not THAT dumb, okay? I understand what murder is. Anakin just straight up shanked all of the Jedi in the Temple with the 501st.

Like, bruh, I get you smart and all, Padme, and you a senator and all, but I don't know if have any more brain cells than I do money when it comes to Anakin. And I have 0 dollars right now.

So, like, no, I don't think Padme would stop Anakin in the slightest. She'd probably make more excuses for him, like "that's how he shows his love for you" or "just get over it, Leia" or even "he's your father, let him do what he wants".

In short, the freaking helicopter parenting would continue and Luke and Leia are gonna be trapped because they ain't no trained Jedi. They can't do shit and they are still minors.

Leia/Luke might even run away from home or even Fall (*extreme case**very extreme and unlikely but still possible*) 'cause they are force-sensitive y'know.

Freaking Court might even get involved. Some lawyers might also be called up. Luke and Leia better make sure to dial the numbers of some therapists for their parents, too, and also maybe a mind healer. Neither of your parents are straight in their heads.

Anyways, none of yall gotta agree with me 'cause this is just my opinion, but at least look at it from my point of view first before you hate on me in the comments. Like, I really hope that Anakin and Padme would be good parents but I just don't see it working out (????).

Let me share something:

"A desperate parent hovers; a good parent guides."

Every parent needs to learn to let go of their kids eventually. The kids are going to leave the nest sooner or later and the parent needs to understand this.

Maybe, during the first 15 years or so, the parent can hover, but once that kid starts wanting to be independent, you gotta start giving that kid some space.

Like a bird, they gotta spread their wings and they can't do that if they stay cooped up in the nest for the rest of their lives. No baby bird is gonna fly immediately after they gain their wings and feathers. They gotta stretch them out first, do a few practice runs, and then they'll finally know how to fly.

Same thing for your kids. If they want independence but you know that they can't handle it yet, just give it to them. They gotta learn somehow. They gotta practice. And you just gotta be there to catch them if they fall.

You can stop hovering and instead start guiding. Because your son/daughter isn't just YOUR child anymore—they're becoming their own person and you need to realize and accept that. They're becoming an adult and your equal, so you gotta stop treating them like they're just your kid. Bc they're both your kid and their own person and you gotta realize that.

You can't keep your kids in the nest forever. Sooner or later, they're gonna rebel against your hovering and they'll cut you out of their lives bc you're being a toxic influence on them and they know it. Then, despite all your desperate hovering to keep your kids safe and in the nest, YOU are going to be the reason why your kids don't want you in their lives anymore.

You just gotta let go.

Yes, you can hover like a desperate parent for the first ten and a half years of your kids' lives, but eventually you're gonna have to stop doing that. Because they aren't dumb ten year olds anymore that need your constant hovering. Now they're teens and now they're adults who are experiencing the real world.

And the only thing you can do is accept that your kid has grown up. Or they will grow up. Or they are growing up.

You just need to cross the line from hovering to guiding.

You gotta let go of the bike sometime and let your kid ride on their own without the training wheels.

You just gotta cross that line. Maybe it'll be a little hard, but when was parenting ever easy? I know that it'll hurt to have to let your kids go, but you just gotta trust them.

You have already spent the last nearly two decades loving them, caring for them, and teaching them all you know. You just have to hope that they'll keep your lessons and teachings close to their hearts and that they'll listen to the occasional advice or two.

You just gotta trust your kid and your parenting skills, and cross that line.

Your son/daughter has become their own person. And the only thing you can do is be there for them, be ready to support them, be ready to give some of your wisdom, and trust that they'll succeed.

For helicopter parents, however, they never cross that line between hovering and guiding, and I'm not sure Anakin would be able to either.

Shanks taking care of baby usopp would be so fucking cute.

Babysitting him was not intentional. He went over yassops to get some updates on joining his crew. He actually talked to Banchina first and played with her baby waiting for yasopp to come back. They actually got along and had a very pleasant conversation He learned quite a lot about her past.

Apparently she was a part of the resistance since she was 16 before meeting yasopp and was engaged to him for 5 years. She went under cover and actually became an assistant (not a slave) to a celestial dragon. She spent those years Liberating and helping slaves all while gathering information.

She figured he waited for her to come back, it wouldn't hurt to do the same for him. (I just know usopp's mom was a badass you can't tell me otherwise She knowingly and willingly married a pirate. She has to be an extremist. She hates the government!! )

After yasopp came back he gave his spiel about asking him to be in the crew. He's a vital asset. He was the first person he asked that's how confident he is. Yasopp actually said yes this time! but give him a couple years with his family. He was so excited that he ran all the way to a ship to tell Ben completely forgetting that he was holding a baby.

Instead of going back to his house he decided to just keep him around and play with him for a while until he has to give him up. I mean he's going to get his ass beat either way. Doesn't matter if they come for him or he takes him back so we might as well have some fun until that happens.

He shows his around the ship it's not a big ship, not yet. He shows him how to raise the sale, how to steer, how to use a compass. He gives him tips on being a pirate. Mostly stuff he learn from his apprenticeship. He's really out here showing this baby around and talking to him like an adult as if he can retain any of this. Shanks doesn't even know the baby's name he just calls him yasopp's baby and eventually just little yasopp. But still he knows that this baby is going to be someone great just like his old man.

He started to get fussy so he took him out to get something to eat and look around syrup village. By this time yasopp is panicking looking for his son Banchina is surprisingly calm which just causes him to freak out even more. He finds shanks at a bar feeding his son pudding and juice. As he expected Yasopp punches the back of his head before taking his son back. Shanks got this man running across the village like a maniac looking for his child only to find him at a bar.

This is so damn sweet!! Sobbing!! The idea you have of Banchina is amazing, tbh, I just love her. I just know she's a badass too. I mean, as you said, she married Yasopp and she's Usopp's mom, so of course she's great. I love her being all calm while Yasopp panics LKAEFNKLSDNFLSKDN It's great.

And Shanks??? With Usopp??? Calling him little Yasopp and playing with him and showing him the ship?? Honestly, I think I just love Shanks with kids because he just has the biggest father energy. And this is just so sweet because Usopp would have,,, So much fun,, To make things better, thinking about Shanks actively visiting them constantly and when Usopp meets Luffy and sees the straw hat he's like???? "Did Shanks have a son my age??? WHEN????" and he keeps trying to figure out if Luffy is Shanks' son and every time he asks something like that (without actually asking asking) it just makes sense that he is his son. Then Luffy explains his relationship with Shanks and Usopp is like "Hey!! Me too!! He was so nice to me before my dad joined his crew!!" and it's just the cutest reunion between the youngest generation that was raised by successful pirates.

Crying, sobbing, this is,,, Adorable. Once again saying that Shanks with kids is one of my favorite things ever.

The creak of the big doors of the Newgate's club got your attention from the invitation, as you entered with your band your nerves started to get the worst of you. Why wouldn't you be nervous? It was the final round of the battle of the bands.

Out of fifty bands, only the best five had the opportunity to compete for the last three spots in the final battle, the battle of The Pirate King. Well known for the great band of the greatest singer Gol D. Roger, who was sadly retired because of a voice damage.

Your group went to the backstage with the rest of the bands. You were impatient and stressed not because of the battle obviously you were but you couldn't bring yourself to admit it but because of him.

He was going to see you. YOU were going to see him. After all the things you went through. After your broken heart watching him kiss and looking Bonney with adoration, an adoration that was never in his eyes after all those nights spent together. After all the tears you had to see him for first time again on this day.

"Welcome everyone body! Tonight in the New World, one of the greatest club ever we are going to have the final round! FUFUFUFUFU" Donquixote Doflamingo announced with his tipical grin.

"Sadly forty-five of the bands lost and we got left the final five. All of this bands are part of the worst generation. SO LETS GIVE SOME CLAPS FOR OUR FIRST PARTICIPANT, THE HEART BREAKRS!!" that was the announcement of the start of the battle and it was sealed at the moment that Law put his feet on the stage.

"For the one's that are not informed tonight we have a cover battle! Each band was secretly informed the genre or the band they have to make a cover of and the best one wins!" eagerly said Shanks.

Music started to play on the back and you started to get more nervous. At least you haven't crossed paths with Eustass but that changed after Law finished. When he entered in the backstage and went straight to talk to you Kid passed near and "accidentally" pushed the surgeon of death looking you directly at your eyes. Giving you again those mixed messages like when you confessed your love for him.

You sighed and went with Johnny and Yosaku to talk about anything to make you forget what was happening. They made so great the job lf distracting you that you didn't notice when the Strawhats, Kid's and Hawkins' bands passed.

"And for the last band we have the Hunters! With (y/n) as a lead singer! SO LET'S GIVE THEM A CLAP! FUFUFUFUFU" you nearly choke on air as you heard Doflamingo's announcement. You weren't ready. "DAMN IT I'M NOT READY" Minoruba screamed. "Well me neither! So shout up and get in there to play the drums!" Johnny kicked Minoruba.

"Good night people! We are the Hunters and tonight we are going to cover Do I wanna know by Artic Monkeys! Please enjoy" you shakily comment. A sigh escape from your soft lips and the guys started to play the melody with their own spice.

Your soft voice recite the well known lyrics as your eyes traveled over the silent crowd to find his eyes. When you knew you had to cover Artic Monkeys and that he was going to be there you automatically chose the song.

So you searched for Kid to find that last flame that was going to make you win because so many years harvesting this love for him weren't going to be a waste you had to make it clear. At least they were going to be useful now because so many nights replaying his songs to listen his voice again, so many nights yearning a heart that wasn't yours and all your feelings and so many nights seeking again for his touch were going to be your fuel.

Your mind wandered to the memories of him. Memories of you being pressed against the cold wall, with sweat rolling down the valley of your breast while Kid was groaning in pleasure as he rammed into your wet pussy. Memories of how the next day if you met with him and the guys he would act as if you barely knew yet he knew you better than anyone.

The crowd started to clap. Your friends in the crowd started to sing. They know that Bonney was just there to get you out of his heart and his mind. They knew that you were going to make his mind go havoc.

Your hands were trembling over the microphone and your heart was aching. As a Sad to see you go, was sort of hoping that you'd stay left your shaking lips your eyes met his and you started remembering the last night you were together and that lonely morning when you saw her in his arms. And then the past nights when he told you that he wanted you, how you always fell on his bed even he told you that was the last time.

You were close to crying, so you closed your eyes until Yosaku leaned on your back and the sound of the bass and the guitar got stronger. You opened your eyes again and looked to Yosaku understanding his message 'This is your moment not his' so you sang with all your might, with all your confusion, sadness and love. With the biggest smile on your face and looked to the crowd again. Eyes locked with Kid's, never showing fear nor weakness you said:

You let a sigh escape your mouth as you finished. With your left hand you swiped your sweaty forehead. There was no room for your thoughts just for the cheering screams of the crowd. You felt relieved and turned around to hug your band.

"So to finish the night! We are going to tell you the winners!" Shanks shaked the black envelope "So... In third place... THE HEART BREAKRS!!" Screams echoed around the club. "On second place we have the Hunters!" you froze. Yosaku started to jump with Minoruba and Johnny hugged/lift you up. "And on first place... THE STRAWHATS!"

When the announcement finished you went backstage alone while the guys went to party with the rest of the winners, you weren't on the mood to party so you wanted an alone time. You opened the door to your room and when you light it up strong arms snaked on your waist.

You punched the owner on his face. You punched him hard, like really hard and you were going to strike again until he talked. "Fuck. I never thought you could punch so hard. Dammit I didn't even thought you could punch"

"OH SHIT SORRY! I-I...I... It wasn't my intention! You scared the living shit out of me" you took his face on your hands and inspected it.

"I'm fine" he murmured and you were still engrossed on his face. "If you want to watch me I'm fine but at least so it after I'm done talking to you, weirdo!" He slightly pushed you with blush on his face. "Congrats you were awesome out there..."

If you didn't knew him you would though it wss because he was into you but you knew he was ashamed of saying that out loud. "ummm thanks, you too? No, no, you too! It wasn't a question, you know what i meant! You shaked hard your head.

"Hell I do, that's why I came here" he got closer to you if that was even possible "You think you can come and sing that looking straight into my soul after ignoring me for days without consequences? Doll you should know better" he pushed you against the wall and kissed you hard.

"This feel float both ways. I just didn't want to..." you kissed him shutting him up. He laughed "eager, are we? I missed you too" his hands slipped in your pants, touching your womanhood and you moaned. You were going to let him take you now and there.

This one is so long!! The next one will be the finale. This one has a trigger warning for crude remarks of a sexual nature to incite anger and violence, but it's nothing above a PG13 rating. And we finally get some hot cinnamon fluff, as spicy as I go lol

Nothing in the short span of Nikola’s memorable life was harder than trying to keep a platonic distance between her and Gally. All that went through her head was that determined look on his face and the words ‘I’m yours’ passing his lips. She knew what he meant really amounted to ‘I’m your friend’, but ‘I’m yours’ just sounded so good.

Even though Alby had been helpful when Shawn had pulled his stunt, Nikola started to feel some negativity toward him, somehow blaming only him for the rule about belonging. Who had the right to dictate who one could and couldn’t belong to? She was also plenty mad at Shawn too for a lot more.

There was one day where she was thoroughly distracted though, her thoughts were far away from Alby and Shawn, and even Gally was pushed back ever so slightly. One of the goats had given birth but didn’t survive it. Nikola was caring for the orphaned kid and received much needed help and support from the dog cleverly named Bark. Honestly, boys had no imagination.

Winston had said that taking care of the kid was more trouble than it was worth, that he could put a quick and painless end to it, and Nikola was horrified.

“If you take that attitude with poor baby animals you’ll soon be taking it with human beings,” she had told him. “And the last thing we need inside the glade is people acting like the ones who sent us here.”

That had shut him up right quick, in fact, he got quite contemplative about his role as a slicer after that. He must have told others about it because soon some of the other boys were coming to check on the goat or offering to watch it while she tended to other things she needed to do. It was a positive turn on things in the glade and her position in their little world. Maybe she had gained some respect, maybe she had become more than an object in some of their minds and achieved real human status.

Either way, it lulled her into a place of comfort where she never would have guessed what was about to happen.

As she sat in the grass watching Bark be the little goat’s cheerleader as it took wobbly steps around the meadow, a shadow loomed over her. She looked up, hoping to see Gally, but she already had a bad feeling in her gut.

Shawn stood over her, hands stuffed in his pockets and looking out over the meadow as well. She didn’t say anything to him, just stared and waited a moment for him to say something. When he remained silent she turned back to what she was doing even though turning her back on him made her feel nervous. Still, she tried not to show fear.

“You don’t like me very much,” he finally stated.

“Have you given me a reason to like you?” she responded, not looking at him still.

“But you didn’t even like me before I did… that,” he pointed out, meaning the stunt he pulled trying to get her and Gally in trouble.

“That’s true,” she didn’t even lie. “And it turns out my gut was right.”

“Are you sure it wasn’t because you already liked someone else? Liked them more than you should?”

Nikola felt a confrontational spirit overtake her body and she whirled around to look at him, to let fly some angry words, but he had turned and started walking off before she could get one of them off her tongue. Somehow he wasn’t worth chasing down, but what he said bothered her long after he was gone.

Gally was in the deadheads, collecting wood again. Nikola had been so enamored with caring for the kid and so many boys had gotten on board with being a bit more empathetic that Gally thought he would build something where any other pregnant animals could safely and comfortably give birth and care for their little ones.

Really though, Winston had told him and some of the others what she had said to him and Gally took it to heart as many of the others had as well. They did not want to have anything in common with the people who sent them there. And the only proper role model was bright, hopeful, empathetic Nikola.

As Gally’s thoughts wandered around the subject of her he wandered farther into the deadheads, not noticing how he was getting farther from the other builders out there with him.

He was imagining a house he would build by the ocean, a white house made of good wood with a proper door and windows and roof. He’d build it for Nikola and she deserved the best. Of course, in his imagination they lived in it together. They would stroll along the beach, hand in hand, with no one to cause them problems, and when they were done they’d return to their safe, warm house. There would be no glade, no maze, no wicked. Just them and peace.

“Oh Gally, Gally, Gally,” someone sighed, breaking him out of his daydreams.

He looked over and noticed Shawn with two other baggers and his guts tied themselves in knots. He was there to cause trouble again. This time Alby and Newt weren’t around, they were secluded, which probably meant they were going to attempt to beat the shuck out of him he guessed.

With a sigh of his own Gally tossed aside the wood he had collected and brushed the dirt off his hands. He was almost glad to have an opportunity to cause Shawn physical pain. He stared the other boy down in silence just waiting for a reason.

Shawn wasn’t much of a fan of Gally and Nikola’s tendency to hold their tongues, a talent he himself did not possess. Shawn glanced down with a slight chuckle, shaking his head at the ridiculous situation.

“I don’t get it,” Shawn said to Gally with fake sincerity. “Maybe you can explain it to me, help me understand. How did you get Nikola to like you so much?”

Gally crossed his arms and didn’t respond to the obviously rhetorical question.

“I mean, you’re one of the ugliest shanks here,” Shawn said, unable to hold back his malicious grin while his friends chuckled behind him.

Gally wouldn’t be provoked by simple insults.

“No one here really likes you. You’re a bossy, demanding, control freak who can’t take a joke and thinks he’s smarter than everyone else,” Shawn went on eyeing Gally up for his reaction to that. The fair and freckled builder had not turned even the slightest shade of red, which made Shawn switch up his tactic. “Nikola is nothing like you. She likes to put on her mask and seem tough, but, ooh… she is soft. Isn’t she?”

Shawn had stepped up to Gally and spoke softer, laying it on thick. “Is she soft Gally? Do you even know? I bet she is under all those clothes, soft enough to sink your teeth into,” Shawn smiled when a crimson shade started blooming behind Gally’s unmoved expression. He was getting on the right track now. “I want to take a bite so bad, you know? I bet she tastes so good, even down to her p-“

Gally’s hands shot out and grabbed the front of his shirt, almost yanking him off his feet. Shawn wanted Gally to land the first blow and he was close, but no cigar.

“Is there a point to all this?” Gally asked, shoving Shawn away from him.

“I’m just making conversation on our common interest,” Shawn said holding his hands up. “You know what I mean, right? You’ve thought about it, don’t try to tell me you haven’t.”

Shawn and his goons laughed but Gally didn’t react. He suddenly felt bad that he’d in fact had thoughts about Nikola that were less than platonic, but not nearly as skeevy as what Shaw was getting at.

“But there’s something serious I want to ask you, big guy, did you really get in there? Because I’m just wondering how loose things are going to be when I get to her-“

And thats when Gally’s fist connected with his skull. Shawn was knocked to the ground with unpredicted force, but Gally was instantly over him trying to haul him back up by the front of his shirt as the other boys came to Shawn’s defense. They tried to separate them, the whole idea was to get Gally put in the pit or banished for harming another glader, then the biggest obstacle between Shawn and Nikola would be gone.

Gally was so angry he could hardly be restrained even as he was outnumbered. He managed to get Shawn back up on his feet, hands still gripping his shirt even as the other boys tried to gain control over his arms. He couldn’t get another punch in this way so he did what he could and smashed Shawn’s nose with his forehead.

Shawn flew back with a cry of pain as he held his nose, launched out of Gally’s grip. He could barely keep his watering eyes open but he managed to throw a punch and land it on Gally’s face as the others held him back as best they could.

“I thought he was just supposed to hit you?” One of the boys questioned.

“Shuck that,” Shawn growled as blood and tears streamed down his face. “He’s getting what he deserves.”

With his brute strength alone, Gally made quite an impressive stand for as long as he could, but three against one were never favorable odds. No one was walking away from the encounter without injury, but Gally was taking the brunt of it as it went on. He didn’t care, he’d rather be their target than Nikola. He’d take as many punches as he had to for her.

“Gally!”

‘Oh. Oh God no,’ Gally thought as his guts plummeted even as he was kicked in the ribs. He hoped it was brain damage and not that Nikola was actually there.

Shawn looked behind him, moving enough to expose Nikola standing there in the deadheads with a look of horror on her face.

‘Run!’ Gally begged her in his mind as he spat blood from his mouth and fought to catch his breath.

Shawn sprinted for her and she turned to run, half a cry for help passing her lips before Shawn clamped his hand over her mouth and wrapped his other arm tightly around her. She kicked, thrashed and struggled so hard it made Gally proud of her as he tried to summon all his strength to get up and defend her. He knocked the legs out of under one boy and tried to get to his own feet. The other boy tackled him back down to the ground and soon enough the first one assisted in weighing him down.

She really was giving Shawn a run for his money and almost slipped out of his grip when she bucked and then went dead weight. He managed to grab her pony tail and wrap it around his hand so she couldn’t pull free. His other hand had slipped from her mouth for a moment and she did her best to scream again but Shawn’s hand slapped across her mouth again as he kept her low to the ground by her hair.

“Shut up, you stupid- Ah!” Shawn was the one screaming now, a long, loud, sustained cry of pain that alerted the glade as well as anything Nikola could have produced herself.

Gally tried to see what was going on and could only gather that his hand was still near her mouth. He couldn’t take her being in danger, he had to do something, he had to get to her, he promised he’d protect her. Pure adrenaline, fear, and something else coursed through his system and he forced himself to ignore the pain. He pushed himself up with a yell of exertion and managed to elbow one boy in the jaw hard. Gally rolled over on the other boy and elbowed him hard in the side before he tried getting up as quickly as possible. It was hard, too hard and would take too long so he tried to army crawl away and hopefully he’d work his feet back under himself as he went.

But help had finally arrived. There were so many boys around Shawn and Nikola now, all clamoring over the sustained sound of Shawn’s wounded wails. Some other boys broke away and grabbed up the ones that had held Gally down. Alby, Clint, and Jeff were towing Shawn away already and then Nikola was pushing her way through Newt and Minho who were trying to see if she was ok. She sprinted over to where Gally had finally gotten up on his hands and knees and fell to her own in front of him.

“Gally! Oh my god,” her voice shook as much as her hands as they gently took him by the shoulders. “Is anything broken?”

He managed to push himself up onto his knees and sit back on his heels. He finally got a good look at her and saw a bruise already forming next to her eye and blood around her mouth.

“Are you ok?” He asked her, looking at the blood with concern, reaching up and touching her chin.

“I’m fine,” she shook her head, impatient to find out if he was ok. “It’s Shawn’s, I bit him.”

“You bit him?” Gally repeated sounding amused as a smile tugged his split lip painfully.

“I’ve never seen him smile after getting his ass kicked,” Newt said with concern as he knelt beside Nikola in front of Gally.

“I’ve never seen him get his ass kicked,” Minho mumbled as he stood behind them.

“We should get him to the infirmary,” Newt said which Nikola whole heartedly agreed with.

“But Shawn is in there now getting put back together, probably gonna be a while since you practically degloved his finger,” Minho pointed out.

“You did?” Gally panted, impressed.

“No, and that’s not important right now,” she said agitatedly. “Can we help Gally, please?”

“I’m alright, I’m alright,” Gally waved them off as he tried to sit more comfortably.

“Uh, no. You’re not,” Nikola said as she gently placed her hand over his bruised and bloodied one.

“No broken legs, no broken arms,” Gally said before using his free hand to feel his abdomen. “And no broken ribs. I’ll be ok.”

“Gally,” Nikola started to complain, her eyes sadly staring deep into his. It made him feel better.

“What happened?” Newt asked him.

Gally sighed and tried to roll his eyes but it only made him feel dizzy. “Shawn came out here to get me alone and beat me up. As you can see.”

“He just came out here and started throwing punches?” Minho piped up.

“No,” Gally admitted as he looked down and brushed his thumb gently over Nikola’s fingers still resting on his hand. “He made me hit him first.”

“He made you,” Minho repeated incredulously.

“Yes, he did,” Gally said firmly as he looked up at Minho before glancing quickly but meaningfully at Nikola.

“What?” she asked softly. Of course she noticed, she hadn’t taken her eyes off him for a second, but now she slowly pulled her hand back. “It was because of me?”

“No, Nikola, it’s not your fault,” Gally tried to tell her, reaching out for her again.

“But it’s because of me,” she said more firmly as she got more upset.

“No,” Gally said even as her eyes got shiny and she got to her feet. “Nikola, wait.”

She took a few steps backwards and her hands covered her mouth before she turned a hurried off.

Gally gave an exasperated groan as he tried to get up on his feet to go after her.

“Hold on,” Newt said, halting him.

“No, I can’t let her think this is her fault,” Gally fought him weakly.

“I think she’ll live if you let her cry in peace for a moment, she’s processing what Shawn just did to her too,” Newt said.

“She shouldn’t be alone,” Gally argued with that too and Newt saw an unfamiliar emotion in his eyes, a concern bordering on desperate.

“I’ll keep an eye on her,” Minho said before sprinting off after her.

“He hurt her, he put his hands on her,” Gally said as dark anger covered up the raw and tender emotion that was there before, his eyes even took a glassy sheen that pooled but would not spill over his lower lashes.

“I know he did,” Newt assured him. “And he’s going to pay for it.”

Eventually they moved Shawn out of the medhut even though he still needed attention, and Newt helped Gally there for his turn. He kept an eye out for Nikola all the way there and only gave in to his pathetic despair once the medhut door shut behind him. He lay with a heavy groan on the cot, gravity pulling a tear from the corner of his eye. He covered his eyes with one arm, even though it hurt to rest it over his bruised face, so neither medjack could see it.

“You put up a good fight,” Jeff said after checking him over. “Nothing too terrible here�� hang tight for minute, ok?”

Gally just sighed as he heard the door close behind him, the chatter of the glade murmuring through the walls around him. He just thought about Nikola and the look on her face, how she screamed his name and tried to help him. He wanted to feel angry, angry at Shawn for laying a finger on her, wanted to shove him through the maze doors that very night, but all he felt was a sadness, deep and aching. He wanted to see Nikola and make sure she was ok.

The door opened and closed again with an extra thud and footsteps approached him. He didn’t move a muscle or give it a thought until he felt her hand on his again. He pulled his arm down and ignored the scream of his muscles and bruises as he pulled himself to a sitting position, swinging his legs over the side of cot.

“Nikola,” he breathed, all other speaking ability leaving his head as he looked at her sitting in front of him.

“Hey,” she said giving him an uncertain half smile. “The medjacks are short staffed today, so I’ll take care of you, if you don’t mind.”

“Of course I don’t,” he said, the very idea that he would mind was ridiculous.

Still he didn’t really know what to say to her as she started cleaning and bandaging his wounds starting with his hands. Her face was turned down as she focused on them and he watched her, feeling her gentle and caring touch on his large, rough hands. She was being more thorough and precise than Clint or Jeff had ever been.

After finishing his hands in silence she looked up at him for the first time since she came in, her eyes darting between each bruise and cut. Suddenly her chin was wobbling and the corners of her mouth turned down. In a matter of moments she was crying and he had no idea what to do. Her hands gently touched his face as she kept looking at his injuries.

“Look what they did to you,” she said quietly through the tears she was trying to hold back, leaning in closer to him. “I never wanted anyone to get hurt, but especially not you,” she said as the tears forced their way out, and then her arms gently wound themselves around his shoulders and tried to pull her closer to him.

It was too big of a stretch so she just moved herself right onto his lap, burying her face in his shoulder and crying. The pain left as his body became aware only of hers pressed against him. He rested his chin on her shoulder in return and carefully held her, feeling her there under his fingertips like a dream come to life.

She lifted her head, her sobs dying down and slowing altogether as she stayed there with her cheek against his. He dared not move, he wasn’t ready for the dream to end. She pulled back slowly, her cheek brushing his and then her nose as she turned her face. She was moving slowly, keeping her face close to his. Her nose brushed against his and he felt like his heart had caught flame and was whistling off like a firecracker. And when those soft, pink lips brushed over his, pressing a brief and gentle kiss there the firecracker exploded.

She pulled back to look at him, her red and puffy eyes taking him in. “You let me do that,” she observed, biting her lip to hold in a smile. “If you minded-“

“I would have said so,” he replied watching her look at him with as much tender adoration as he felt for her.

She smiled before she leaned in, carefully bringing her lips to his split and bruised mouth and he kissed her back this time, he didn’t care how much his lip hurt, it didn’t matter, it was nothing. She was everything. He brought a hand to her face as he felt one of hers on the back of his neck while the other slipped over his shoulder and down his chest. It slipped back up till both of her hands were cradling his neck as he kissed her again. They pulled away an inch or so and looked into each other’s eyes, his hand resting on her shoulder. He never wanted to let her go.

“I’ve wanted to do that for a while,” she admitted, bringing a bashful blush to his face. “But I didn’t know if you felt the same, or if you’d just settle for me since I’m the only girl around.”

He swallowed and tilted her chin back up to look at him. “You’re the best thing that will ever happen to me.”

That must have been the right answer because it brought on more tears and another kiss.

“Ok, let’s finish getting you taken care of,” Nikola sighed contentedly as she brushed his nose with hers once more, something she seemed to like doing, and reached for the first aid supplies from her spot on his lap.

“A little late for this question, but should we be worried about someone coming in here?” he asked, gently holding her around the waist.

“I locked the door,” she whispered in his ear as she leaned in to reach for something else.

He looked up at her in wonder as she took care of everything that ailed him, kissing each bandage and bruise, her little fingers tracing his features as she went along. He leaned in to each touch as he held her comfortingly on his lap, until he was treated. She hugged him, her hands rubbing his back soothingly until he couldn’t keep his eyes open any longer.

This rewatch is going to fit into a single post, because a third of the episode is just crying and yelling on a very slow boat. If you want to learn the Chinese words for “Mother” and “Father” this is your episode.

Captain Blowhard

Clan Leader Yao shows up, having barely survived the massacre of his clan, along with two disciples who aren't too excited about their unwilling promotion to top targets. Jiang Cheng tells his dad that the Wens are systematically exterminating the smaller clans, and have said anyone who helps the survivors is going to be punished.

Jiang Fengmian tells Yao that the Jiang Clan will protect him. Which is why Wei Wuxian is responsible for the massacre of the Jiang Clan.

Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian both think that taking Yao to the Jin clan is the best way to keep him safe. Wei Wuxian was wrong to help the heirs of the powerfullest richest clans, but sure, let's save this asshole.

Road Tripping

The boys go down to the dock to send Jiang Yanli and Jiang Fengmian off, saying a formal goodbye with a bunch of disciples and showing off how extremely good they look in these close-fitted, simply cut robes with cool belts.

Yu Ziyuan comes down to say goodbye to Yanli and give her some medicine, covering by saying it's for Jiang Fengmian, because being sick is bad for marriage prospects, probably.

Later the boys will mention their hope that YZY will be mollified by the time JFM returns, which means this possibly isn't the usual state of their relationship. The dislike and jealousy seem to be constant, but perhaps being openly at war with each other is not.

Club Ruohan

At Club Ruohan, Wen Ruohan is tired of sitting on his big uncomfortable throne so he's sitting on the floor next to it, instead. He's suffering the embarrassing problem of black smoke leakage, and needs Wen Qing to give him acupuncture to fix it, but she's not around. Wen Ruohan has an awful lot of trouble containing resentful energy, possibly because he is controlling a bunch of zombies 24x7 instead of letting them take a break. Wei Wuxian is mostly able to control it--except when he, you know, totally isn't--without ever needing an attractive acupuncturist to give him a poke.

WRH learns from Wen Chao that Wei Wuxian 1. killed a boss-level monster on nightmare level difficulty without his sword 2. took whatever thing had been suppressing the nightmare monster for the previous really long time. WRH wants whatever it is.

Boys in Charge

When the boys get back to Lotus Pier, Jiang Cheng doesn't understand why they couldn't all go to the Lins together, and Wei Wuxian explains it to him. Wei Wuxian is the one seeing the big picture, and he wants to plan how to handle the Wen forces when they, inevitably, arrive.

Jiang Cheng would rather talk big than actually plan, showing how--at this age--his anger management problem is an issue on a strategic level, not just a personal one. As a clan leader he will eventually master this aspect, for the most part, and learn to keep a cool head in regard to martial matters, while continuing to feed his interpersonal rage problem.

The brothers supervise the archery practice of the Jiang disciples, having their last nice time together, and still without a plan. Wei Wuxian is bored and calls practice early so he can go be bored on the porch or in his room, since he isn't allowed out. In fact he's so bored by lockdown that he starts an irreverent niche blog.

Knowing that the Wen Clan is gunning for enemy cultivators, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng send the whole group of disciples, including children, outside the compound walls to retrieve their kites. This is what happens when you don't have a plan.

Wen the Levee Breaks

Wen Chao’s girlfriend Wang Lingjiao finds a kite with a hole in it and uses it as a pretext to snatch up the youngest disciple.

The other disciples come running back and tell WWX and JC what happened. Wei Wuxian calmly gets all of the information from them and starts figuring out what to do, while Jiang Cheng freaks out.

Jiang Cheng is a good fighter, and matures into an excellent one after a core upgrade and war experience. But Wei Wuxian is a born battle leader, developing strategies on the fly and staying cool under pressure.

Madame Yu is as brave as a barrel full of bears and Yinzhu and Jinzhu chase lions down the stairs

Yu Ziyuan and the murder twins show up and all of the disciples line up behind them, relieved to have someone scary in charge.. Yu Ziyuan is also a natural leader and an awesome fighter, but her judgement is terrible, as we're about to discover.

Bitchfest

Wang Lingjiao strolls in to the main hall and has the nerve to comment on the interior decorating, because it doesn't have enough rough-hewn black rock and lava pits, apparently.

She shows them all the kite and says that because it looks (kind of) like the sun, using it for target practice is an attack on the Wen Clan. Bitch, everything your clan wears and uses has fire on it and is red. The sun is not your emblem, no matter what the text says. This kite situation is presumably where the anti-Wen campaign gets its name of "Sunshot," however, which sounds pretty cool.

Wang Lingjiao moves along to her main point, which is that Wei Wuxian needs his ass kicked, and she'd like Yu Ziyuan to do the kicking. To goad her, she starts talking about the rumors about Wei Wuxian's parentage.

Let it Whip

So let it whip (let's whip it, baby) Get a grip (let's whip it baby) Well, what's your trip? (Oh no)

Yu Ziyuan takes the bait, and proceeds to whip the shit out of her strongest battle asset, in a sequence that's either horrifying or completely fucking awesome, depending on how you feel about whump.

There are a lot of bad effects in this show and a lot of questionable fighting, but any time Zidian flies, I am HERE for it. I gave this beatdown its own gifset over here.

Jiang Cheng is devastated and tries again and again to protect Wei Wuxian, but his mother and her lieutenants keep moving him out of the way so the beating can continue.

Yu Ziyuan hits Wei Wuxian at least 5 times, until he is totally unable to get up off the floor. Wang Lingjiao has succeeded in eliminating him as a threat for the moment.

Gotta Hand It To You

Wang Lingjiao isn't satisfied with the brutal whipping, however; she wants his right hand as a trophy, and for him to be unable to recover. Yu Ziyuan tells Jinzhu and Yinzhu to close the doors because some blood is going to fly.

I'd like to think this is when Yu Ziyuan decides to kill the Wens, rather than maiming WWX, but I'm not certain. Because she doesn't start attacking until after Wang Lingjiao says the Wens are taking Lotus Pier, and tells her to discipline Jiang Cheng. So maybe she is okay with taking WWX’s hand, but draws the line at giving up her house.

Through all of this, Wei Wuxian doesn't once protest, even when he thinks they're getting ready to take his hand off. He'll do whatever it takes to make peace. THIS is the core of his heroism; he will sacrifice anything to do what he thinks is right. He's not "playing the hero;" not doing this for fame or kudos, but for a clear conscience.

It’s a Murder Party

Wang Lingjiao explains the new Wen World order, and Yu Ziyuan smacks her to the floor and then takes out all 8 of the Wen soldiers in one elegant move.

Can we talk about how incredibly effective a fighter Yu Ziyuan is, without a sword? With her first-class spiritual tool as her only weapon? Nobody is telling her she needs to carry a sword. She shows she can use one, after she gives Zidian to Jiang Cheng, but she's absolutely devastating without one.

Having defied Wang Lingjiao, Yu Ziyuan...doesn't kill her. She chokes her, slaps her and yells at her. Then she insults her clan and sticks her FOOT on her FACE.

She sics the murder twins on the guards in the room, and they shank all of them at super speed while the boys watch with alarm.

Then she has them sloooowly advance on Wang Lingjiao, giving her plenty of time to holler for Wen Zhuliu before they can kill her.

Het Heat

Wen Zhuliu comes flying in, literally, kicking both murder twins across the room at the same time. This is followed by Core-Melting Hand x Violet Spider suddenly becoming the most shippable M/F couple in this thing, because wow, they have some serious chemistry.

I never saw a pretty girl look so tough

Actor Feng Mingjing continues to do an awful lot with almost no lines, in his portrayal of Wen Zhuliu. WZL politely apologizes to Yu Ziyuan. Is he offering to withdraw, or is he just being polite before getting down to the killy bit? Either way, Yu Ziyuan is ready to rumble, and doesn't even consider de-escalating.

You know who was able to rein in his temper, after fighting with this same extremely dangerous dude, and therefore lived to fight another day? Fucking Nie Mingjue, that's who, who has a generational CURSE making him angry. While Yu Ziyuan, is like, "fuck the safety of my clan, this is Wei Wuxian's fault anyway" and throws down.

Wen Zhuliu and Yu Ziyuan proceed to have an epic, sexy fight, where he catches her whip and she dodges his attempt to feel up her core.

He's a magic man, mama, he's got the magic hands.

Wei Wuxian, still incapacitated, tells Jiang Cheng to stop Wang Lingjiao from calling for help, but JC gets distracted by the threat to his mom, and goes to engage with Wen Zhuliu.

Jiang Cheng takes a horrifying smack in the chest, which injures him and takes him out, while Wang Lingjiao sends the signal that seals the fate of Lotus Pier.

It’s All Over Except for the Crying

Yu Ziyuan immediately sees that she's lost the battle, and has the murder twins divert Wen Zhuliu while she brings the two boys to the pier.

She verifies that Jiang Cheng's core is still intact, showing the viewers, for future reference, that it's possible to tell by touch if someone's core is missing, although a casual touch won't do it.

Then she re-codes the Zidian so that it recognizes Jiang Cheng and puts it on his wrist. She follows this with a display of maternal affection for Jiang Cheng unlike anything we've seen so far, which super fails to reassure him.

She follows this up with screaming at Wei Wuxian and telling him how much she hates him, and blaming him for the multiple shitty choices she just made..

With a heart full of rage, she reminds him that his worth lies in what he can do for more important people.

She binds the boys with Zidian and then sends the boat on its way....

...with a frickin' TALISMAN, holeee shit. As toxic as she is for Wei Wuxian, there is a direct line from her cultivation skills to his.

Dad To The Rescue...sort of

The last third of the episode is basically yelling and crying punctuated by a couple of interactions out on the water. The extreme emotions go on for long enough that I eventually stop feeling bad for the characters and start feeling bad for the actors, who had to maintain this level of feeling for probably days of shooting.

The boys eventually meet up with Jiang Fengmian and Jiang Yanli. JFM discovers that Zidian responds to his control, which tells him something is very, very wrong, since it probably knows how his wife feels about him.

This thing isn’t biting me; your mom is in serious trouble.

Here Jiang Fengmian decides to do the heroic, totally futile thing, which is exactly his style. He tosses Jiang Yanli in with the boys and takes his leave so he can go die with his wife while the children survive.

He has to know that Yu Ziyuan is the stronger fighter of the two of them, and that he's not going back to rescue her. He's just going to stand with her and die together, which is the most romantic thing you can do in a C-drama, after all.

How Much Do You Owe the Jiang Clan?

Jiang Fengmian tells his two children not to cry, making them and the viewer cry extra hard. (specially ouchy gifset here).

Then he turns to Wei Wuxian and, with a heart full of tenderness, reminds him that his worth lies in what he can do for more important people.
