I love that it's so eclectic and with such varied influences that it can be both elegant AND silly, depending on the context. And of course I love that, since it's an Indo-European language, it makes it very easy to understand other speakers from the same area LMAO

I hate that sometimes things that are quick and easy to say in English can only be translated in such convoluted ways che Cicerone scansati proprio. Also, lawmakers will be up in arms about this, but I'd LOVE to have a gender neutral option 🙃

LIS (Italian Sign Language) is fascinating and mesmerizing for me, especially the way it often handles given names (of cities most of all), and I'd love to learn it well, one day

It's my RWBY OTP! They're both my dearest children and I love their scenes together so much! I'm always at the edge of my seat when they're onscreen together and I think they complement each other beautifully.

I love them but I'm not as invested in a fandom way as other ships, if it makes sense?? I love their scenes, i love how their relationship is growing more and more and I'm waiting for that big damn kiss to finally happen, but I'm content with seeing them in the show. I don't actively write or draw /about/ them but they will always be an established couple, when they appear in my work!

Samus and Alucard for the character bingo!

Funnily enough, I ended up filling out the same spaces for both of them, so here we go!

I don’t think about either of them that much, probably because FE3H currently has my brain. But both of them have simple yet compelling concepts and surprising depth to them! The way that Alucard turned out so differently from Dracula, all because one heard Lisa’s last words and the other didn’t is quite an interesting twist, as is Samus sparing the last Metroid at the end of Metroid II.

Interestingly, both have quite a bit in common aside from my opinions on them. They’re both stoic yet kind people who have been through some traumatic things, and who aren’t quite fully human. I think they’d get along splendidly!

I don't care much about Walter, I think he's a boring antagonist, but if he were interesting I guess the plot twist wouldn't matter?

Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? 

I love LoS. Maybe not as much as the original timeline, but it has a lot of my favorite themes: defiance of fate and predestination, cycles of family trauma, love that will last even after death, redemption. There's a lot for me to enjoy.

Hmm... any that comes to mind. I was just earlier playing Empire at War, specficaly its mods. I've also been playing Age of Wonders 3, but I've gotten that one out of my system. I might play some of the older AoW games, though

Dark Lord Ganondorf Battle

I never played Twilight Princess, but now I'm wishing that I was able to, cause the game seems dope.

Anyways this theme is truly one for those chosen by the gods. The final confrontaion between this game's Link and the very same Ganondorf from Ocarina (one of them anyways). You basically are deciding the fate of Hyrule in this clash, and whether Ganondorf's twisted desires will rule the land as they did in the Adult/Downfall timelines, or if you will end his desire to blot out the light right here, right now.

Also you get to blade clash with him an the music changes from either Ganondorf's theme to what I assume is a version of the Zelda theme depending on if you are winning or losing. ANd to start it you wait until Gandorf charges at you, which you can then counter by the prompt "Chance" in which Link jumps at Ganondorf and your blade clashes with his

(also the choir reminds me of Tales of Symphonia)

I hate Silver's characterization as moron that's the butt of jokes because Silver is supposed to be a optimist that's a source of hope and positivity to the people around him and him being an awkward borderline burden on others is literally the opposite of that.

Considering Recent Events aka my accidental exposure to the Bumblekast this evening, I honestly agree even more than before. I think Sonic Channel did it right: they focus a lot on both showing and describing Silver's positive and endearing virtues, like his honesty and straightforwardness, his willingness to put too much on his shoulders to protect those around him, his never-give-up attitude, his positive mentality, his reliability, how he inspires others, and so on and so forth.

They do not describe him as meek, spineless, someone who is just there to be a punching bag to other characters for shits and giggles, someone who is dumb, someone who is a burden, someone who is so awkward he is an embarrassment to be around...

And of course they do not, because none of those apply to an in-character Silver! If you want to reason that he was a dumbass in Sonic '06, I can easily show you multiple portrayals of him being shrewd and less trusting in various games that came after. Silver is someone who seems to feel his emotions quite strongly: the opposite of meek and awkward. If he was spineless and a burden, he would not be going back in time again and again to undo disasters to save his world while succeeding in that. If he was a punching bag to other characters and an embarrassment, he would not receive the respect he gets from his friends in most games (some of English!TSR aside, but like, grrrr. Had my say about that already.). Everything Ian in the Bumblekast and a lot of IDW present him as is simply false, and there is nothing else I can make of it. It's not an 'alternate interpretation', it's not 'working with what has been provided before in the games'. It is building a new character from the ground up and just slapping Silver's face on it, and I truly cannot wrap my head around why this happened.

What makes this furthermore even more annoying to me is that Silver has natural flaws stemming from his virtues already. Honesty? He can be blunt and rude without reason (again: meek? Spineless? Crybaby? Where?). Putting too much on his shoulders while being overly confident about himself and his abilities? He can be blinded into a black-and-white view of thinking where other characters need quite some work to get him to consider 'the grey' in a scenario. Never-give-up attitude? He'll be hounding down whatever his mission requests of him with that same black-and-white mentality and a sheer refusal to back down, which is not exactly a good trait at times. He doesn't need to be mangled into a meek awkward embarrassing dumbass; he already has flaws! So yeah, I wholeheartedly agree that this "interpretation" (aka just completely rewriting everything established about him) of Silver has the exact opposite result in fandom perception compared to how Sonic Channel and the games describe him. And I very strongly dislike it.
