Who are you?

Hosts Shannon and G are both relapsed 2000s twihards from the DC-Maryland-Virginia area of the US who found their way back to Twilight fandom just in time for the Renaissance™. They met through fandom in 2019 and have been friends ever since!

Shannon (@flowerslut) lives and works in LA. When she’s not obsessively writing 250k-word fanfictions, you can find her at Emo Nite LA or making her own music under the name Maybe. Her personal blog is @uncancellable. You can also follow her on Goodreads/Storygraph!

G (@volturialice) lives in Colorado and works remotely, which leaves plenty of time for her to take long walks in the mountains and look for loose bears in the neighborhood. What is Three Books One Plot?

3B1P (2022 - present) is a podcast created to compare and contrast Twilight and its two published rewrites: Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined (genderflipped Twilight) and Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward’s point of view.) One part literary analysis, several parts jokes, and the rest utter shenanigans, it’s a bimonthly read-along in which hosts G and Shannon take turns reading and recounting chapters of Life and Death/Midnight Sun, and a rotating guest of the week reads and recounts Twilight. For more information on the podcast's genesis and the history of the three books, give Episode 0 a listen!

We post new episodes every other Monday! Season 1 of 3B1P aired from June 2022 through May 2023, while Season 2 (New Moon) will air from September 2023 through June 2024 (reverting back to Monday releases after a Wednesday, September 13th premiere.)

Why do you have an episode 0/8.5/11.5? And why is your season 1 finale episode longer than Return of the King (2003, dir. Peter Jackson)?

Let’s time travel back to January 29, 2023, with the glorious gem, Amy Dee, who came to stand by Shift as he firmly defends his reputation with the truth.

Some liars have threatened Shift’s life and livelihood by targeting him with hundreds of triggered fanatics --- this story is very important.

Learn about the timeline of Shift’s experience getting caught up in Eat Predators' messy “organization” after Alexa Nikolas started what may be the most selfish, inappropriate, and poorly managed book club that has ever existed outside of Yellowjackets season 1. 

Amy Dee reminds us that the #metoo movement centralizes around Central Casting, and mentions how irrelevant people can be made relevant by connecting their names in articles to actually important, well-known people and events.

Shift covers some anecdotal moments like how Alexa Nikolas' husband randomly left their baby alone with him... In a car... With the keys. And made Shift drive the baby around while he and Alexa Nikolas hung around taking pictures at a protest at Orange County School of the Arts with people like Nomi Abadi, Amanda Peters, and their partners. He also mentions how he was aggressively harassed by a police officer during the time they left him and their child alone. 

Shift refers to the bizarre and mysterious exposé website, alexanikolas.net, and how far back some truly alarming accusations about Alexa Nikolas’ abuse of others goes. He also reviews how Melanie Veronica inserted her undeserved and erratic #freebritney clout to boost Alexa Nikolas’ lies.

Tangentially, Shift highlights how long he's been working with media, culture, and movements with a story about taking care of Bella Eiko’s baby for 2 weeks in 2014 when Bella went to live stream the events in Ferguson just after Mike Brown was killed.

Can Alexa Nikolas project a lie that shines brighter than who Shift really is?

1.) Jermaine AU: Jermaine comes to live at the treehouse after his house blows up. This, unlike canon, happens rather early in season 3. The rest of the series mainly stays the same, except this time there's three brothers instead of two. He's a kinda anxious dude with demon hunting expertise and a painting hobby. He sometimes wonders if he made Dad disappointed by letting all his work explode. Finn and Jake help him out, and he helps them. Despite this, Jermaine is the only one with a brain, and Finn and Jake share exactly one (1) braincell that they trade every so often. Jermaine is tired. (Jermaine is the only one who tries to clean regularly, and he's also the one to keep Neptr, Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant, and a few others company. He's a bit of real wisdom the early series Finn and Jake needed.

2.) Melted Ice AU: Mid season two, IK is hit with something that de-ages him. He turns six. Maybe this mystery de-aging thing blows up the top of the ice mountain, who knows. Maybe he wakes up in the snow, with no memory of how he got there or why. No memory of the last one thousand years. Finn and Jake don't know about his backstory since that happens in season three. Simon is carried by a snowman out of the ice kingdom where he breaks down in the plains. Finn, of course, finds him and is ecstatic to meet another human. Completely missing the fact that this small child is, in fact, the Ice King, Finn declares to help this boy no matter what. That promise soon becomes difficult when people hear about the second human in Ooo, and whatever effect that's keeping him young starts to wear off. (Marceline comes to visit and has a heart attack)

3.) Adventure Falls AU: AT x GF baybee!! Seventeen year old Stanley Pines hops on the Stan O' War and sets sail when he's kicked out. Unfortunately, that boat is nowhere near sea worthy, and all it takes for him to go overboard is one sudden (magical) storm. But, miraculously, Stan doesn't die. He washes up on Ooo, the island of misfits. Where there's daddy issues galore and punching things and getting gold is a legitimate career. He's found on the shore by none other than Finn, who asks if he's okay and if a dungeon adventure would soothe his worries. Stan accepts, because that sounds awesome, and they maybe date. For the next ten years, Stanley is a professional hero. He travels with Finn, he lives in a tower with tons of gold, he's respected, adored, and has made a family for himself. Ooo has a habit of forcing traumatic therapy onto to people, so Stan gets (read: is forced) to work his issues out. And then, somehow, he gets a postcard from his brother.

4.) Young Pups AU: Jake's kids grow up fast- but not that fast. He stays with lady for a few episodes being Dad and when the Pups are old enough, go visit Finn and Jermaine. Also Jermaine is there when the pups are born that always bothered me in canon like what the fuck. This whole AU results in Jake the Dad being a better father than in canon, because he actually has time to make mistakes and learn from them. He sometimes shapeshifts into one of those baby carriers but suited for five kids instead of one. Finn and Jermaine fight for best uncle privileges. Finn is considerably more awesome but Jermaine's got magic junk and juicy stories about Jake. So far the votes are: FINN: Jake Jr, T.V.  JERMAINE: Kim Kil Whan, Charlie. Viola remains undecided.

4.) Evilgreen AU: Evergreen was evil. His idea to make the crown to stop the comet was actually a cover story to take control of all the elements and freeze everything. Of course the same thing happens here as it did in canon, Gunther gets the crown and wishes to *be* evergreen. This is bad. Very bad, so bad in fact, that things get FUnKy. A couple eons later, Simon gets the crown as per canon, and then things start to slide downhill. Since the crown is significantly worse, Simon tries to get rid of it. No amount of magic pull is going to get him to put on the eldritch hat. It teleports back. When things go to shit, the crown tells him he's got two options: He can either live, or he can live unwillingly. This all coalesces in super angst and mild horror as Simon has to fight off evil urges and somehow keep both he and Marceline safe. Things start looking up, though, when he summons Hunson Abadeer.

5.) Nightmare Therapy AU: Simon, now himself post canon, has some funky nightmares. Problem is: he's due for a visit from the cosmic owl due to some mystical bureaucratic bs. If that were to happen, Simon's dreams of Golb and Orgalorg and the world ending and everyone dying and maze would come true, without the veil of metaphoric junk dreams are known for (also due to bureaucratic bs). So, Simon gets a dream therapist. An OC, probably, that would fight off his nightmares when they came and talk to him about his issues.

6.) High School AU: Except they're all still magic and crap. Finn's a jock that's part of the LDnD club(Literally Dungeons and Dragons), Jake's got a job at a pancake place and hosts the Card Wars clubs on Wednesdays, Jermaine's in college and their parents were still detectives/demon hunters. PB is preppy/nerdy girl with weird fucking family and is absolutely a mad scientist. Marceline is still a demon/vamp (vampire biker gang, they all died, deaths pending) and her uncle is Simon. Simon is a history teacher whose ex wife might be an eldritch abomination (the students wonder, but there are no answers)((simon says cryptic things every so often that are the subject of much ridicule, but he's a nice guy)). Ooo High has all of the AT characters in some shape or form. Tree trunks is the lunchlady, Mr Pig is a janitor. Lemongrab is just there. LSP(Q?) is a teacher because that's hilarious. Hunson is dead along with Marceline's mom because fuck hunson. Magic Man is a hobo that snuck onto campus and can't be chased off (his brother is the superintendent, Glob). there's a lot more but that's for a different word doc.

7.) Back to the Future AU: So PB fucks around with time travel, right? For science. She gets sent back in time a thousand years, before the war. Now, she's a pink lady who can shoot jelly beans from her hands, of course needs to lay low. And of course she needs to get home, but she's in a Futurama situation where she only has one type of time machine; the one that can go into the past. Not to mention her own time machine got busted on her way there, so she's double screwed. But, she remembers something. There is an individual (two, actually) that knows about time travel in this time period. She knows him, and he's likely to help her if she plays her card right. She needs to find Simon and get back to her own time, preferably without dooming herself in the process. (perhaps she tries to steal the notes Simon has, and Simon's completely oblivious, except Betty can smell trouble from a mile away and immediately notices some pink woman trying to steal books and she goes ham. Perhaps she goes ham in such a way that Simon doesn't notice. Perhaps this goes on for seven acts.)

8.) Bread and Butter AU: Bella Noche during the episode Betty creates a huge black cube that engulfs all of Wizard City. This box acts as a cage and prevents Wizards from escaping the magic purge. Simon is unable to bring Betty back from the past, and he's fading fast. In a desperate attempt to stop things from escalating, Simon chugs a bottle of anti-magic like a fucking god. He gets through the cube that surrounds Bella Noche and knocks their lights out. He passes out, and when he comes to, the anti-magic he consumed as merged with him. This is because of a simple rule: Magic sticks to magic, anti-magic sticks to anti-magic. And since humans have always had just a little bit of anti -magic present within them, humans and anti-magic go together like bread and butter (badumtish) ((I have actually written a fanfic about this, you can find it here))

9.) Swapped AU: Through various shenanigans Ice King's and Magic Man's powers gets swapped. These shenanigans somehow land them in space as well. This happens before Magic Man's trial. The swapping of their powers results in Simon getting his memory back. It also gives Magic Man the Ice Crown, unfortunately for him though, it seems to hate him. Simon's glad to back, but quickly realizes one issue: He's still crazy. So the pair try to make it back to Ooo. MM needs his powers to swap himself with some other shmuck so he doesn't croak when his trial comes, but Simon's made it clear he isn't giving his powers up without a fight. The pair starts off rocky, neither trusting the other, but space trouble forces them to work together. Simon's a nice enough guy he wouldn't leave someone to die and MM really needs Simon alive so it works out. A weird friendship forms, and they learn get along. Just a couple of crazy space wizards. Then the crown is destroyed. MM is freed from the crown's control, and he's freed from magic. He gets his sanity back, just in time for his trial.

My fondest childhood memories definitely consist of the lovely people who I grew up with and derived my sense of humor/silliness from: my cousins Anna & Emily, Savannah -- my childhood best friend, and Kaleb, my eternal crush. These memories consist of them in elementary school, camp, and my grandma's house in San Antonio.

2. What is my favorite comfort food?

Probably nachos/chips/chips & queso.

3. What’s my favorite way to exercise?

Uh...DANCE.

I lean more towards night owl but I try to avoid both.

Translations: “Siempre bella.” – Always beautiful.  “Siempre mía.” – Always mine.

Camila huffed quietly to herself as she looked down at the books on the floor of the aisle, tossed down without a care by someone that couldn’t be bothered to put them back or at the very least, give it back to her so she could restock them. She leaned down and picked up the books, looking over them to make sure they weren’t damaged. The third one caught her eye, a sci-fi novel that seemed like something EZ would be into reading. She walked back to the front desk and placed the one by her purse, the others going into the bin to be stocked after closing. 

She had accepted Mr. Salvatore’s offer about becoming manager and was starting to settle into the role. Keeping the holds on books in order, re-ordering books as necessary, keeping up to date with securing the latest releases. Sometimes though she still found herself slipping back into her old role, simply wandering the aisles to make sure everything was orderly and neat. It was Friday and she had been in the role of manager all week. Though she was happy with the promotion, she couldn’t deny that the extra responsibility came with extra work though of a different kind, and she was looking forward to the weekend. Mr. Salvatore had agreed that she would be the acting manager and he would simply step in to cover for her on the weekends, allowing her to enjoy them. Running her hands over the front of her blouse, she gave a smile as two women walked in, going to the café area and placing their order.

She looked around trying to find something else that needed to be done, something else that needed to be cleaned and she came up empty, rapping her nails against the countertop. EZ had promised her that he would be taking her out for dinner tonight, no doubt to spend time with her after Marcus’ vow renewal had gone south. They hadn’t spent as much time together this week as they normally did, her busy with her new position and EZ busy with whatever he did with the club. Tonight, though they had made it a point to make sure that they spend time together, just the two of them and Camila was more than looking forward to it.

Camila looked up as the bell on the door rang. In walked Angel, all smiles as he made his way over to Camila behind the front desk. He opened his arms up wide, motioning to her as a grand gesture.

“Look at miss jefa, working at the desk.”

Camila shook her head with a laugh and walked around to the other side, wrapping her arms around Angel’s middle as he threw his around her shoulders. They embrace for a moment before letting go, the two leaning against the desk.

“So,”

Camila cocked her head to the side, wondering what he was referring to.

“So.”

With a shake of his head, Angel eyed her.

“How’re things with baby bro?”

His tone was questioning, wanting to know if things had worked out and if she was still upset. She gave a shrug.

“They’re fine.”

Angel tilted his head and looked at her with pursed lips, clearly not buying her response. She laughed and held her hands up.

“I’m serious. Everything’s cool. We talked, I got my feelings off of my chest and we’re good now. He knows it was rude and swore to never do it again. We’re good.”

Angel’s face relaxed and so did his shoulders, nodding in acceptance of her answer.

“I talked to him, told him what a dick he was that night.”

“He’s just a people pleaser.”

“Yeah well, sometimes he focuses on pleasing the wrong people.”

Camila didn’t have anything to say to that, knowing that Angel’s comment seemed to be true. He had known his brother far longer than she had and she knew that no matter how close she and EZ had gotten, Angel was likely speaking from experience that she couldn’t negate. Changing the subject, she reached over and tapped the back of her hand against his chest with a smile.

“What do you say about coming to the house this Sunday if you aren’t busy. Figured we could cook breakfast together.”

Angel nodded, eyes shining.

“You bringin’ pops over again?”

“Nope. Just you, me, and EZ.”

She saw him hesitate for a moment before smiling anyway.

“You don’t have to if you don’t want to, I just thought maybe-“

“No, no. I’ll be there.”

They both grinned and Angel stood back up straight, slapping his hand on the tabletop once.

“Well, I’m gonna head out. I’ll see you Sunday, Chiquita.”

He reached forward with his right hand and grabbed the back of her head, pulling her toward him and kissing the top of her head. Camila smiled gently at the show of brotherly affection and nodded as he stepped away from her, walking backward to the door as she watched.

“Excuse me, miss?”

Turning back around, Camila smiled as she faced a customer, answering her questions about their new poetry selection.

“You look beautiful.”

Camila looked down at herself. White tank top, blue jeans, and her Cortez. She looked back up at him with a smile and a laugh.

“I always look like this.”

EZ nodded, that charming grin on his lips as he looked at her.

“I know.”

He took three steps toward her, stopping as he ended up toe to toe. He reached and took her chin in his fingers, lifting her face slightly as his eyes raked over her every feature.

“Siempre bella.”

He accentuated the sentence with a kiss to her lips.

“Siempre mía.”

Camila blushed slightly under both his gaze and words, pushing her head down slightly so she could kiss the fingers that had held her chin. He sighed happily and pulled away, walking back toward her front door as she followed. She locked up the door behind her while EZ made his way out to the bike. He climbed on and began strapping on his helmet as she walked over to him. He gave a crooked smile.

“Let’s take the bike.”

Camila eyed him and the machine, apprehension visible on her face.

“What if I throw you off balance?”

“You won’t. You just gotta stay real close to me. Press yourself against my back, hold on tight, move with me.”

It was her turn to grin now, a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips.

“I mean, it sounds like a good time.”

EZ chuckled and gave his head a shake, holding another helmet out to her.

“Come on, it’ll be fun. I’ll go slow, take side roads.”

He could see her ready to agree, just a little hesitance left and he let his smile retreat a bit, his look more serious as he locked eyes with her.

“Would I ask you to do something if I thought you would get hurt?”

Camila shook her head then, a strand of hair falling into her face. Her eyes were soft and she stepped up to the bike, their eyes still on each other.

“No.”

EZ gave a nod.

“That’s right. Never.”

His words sold her, and she took the helmet from his hands, placing it onto her head and doing the strap. She climbed onto the bike behind him with ease, settling against him but not close enough. EZ reached back and wrapped his fingers around her knees, gently pulling her closer to him. Her chest was now against his back, her thighs on either side of his hips and he couldn’t hide his smile as her arms snaked themselves around his middle, her hands pressing against his tummy as she held him.

“You good?”

“I’m good.”

EZ started the Harley and soon enough they were pulling out of her driveway, the California sun warming their skin. EZ rode much slower than normal, feeling her tense arms around him slowly relax. He smiled to himself and kept riding, taking back roads and longer routes. He wanted to spend more time with her like this where it was just them, the feeling of her so close. At some point, she had relaxed entirely, her chin resting against his shoulder as she watched the buildings and traffic pass. Before long, EZ was pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant and they were hopping off the bike, Camila all smiles as she pulled off the helmet and handed it back over to EZ. His smile mirrored hers as he looked at her exhilarated face.

“Have fun?”

She nodded enthusiastically and he laughed, hanging both helmets on each handlebar before reaching over and smoothing down a couple of stray strands of her hair that were out of place. Her smile stayed as he reached down to grab onto her hand, both walking into the diner. They went to the back and sat down in a booth, EZ facing the door as he always did, wanting to always see what was happening around him. He had offered to take Camila out somewhere nice, somewhere fancy to make up for his neglect of her at El Padrino’s event, but she had declined, asking to go to her favorite diner instead. He’d relented eventually and now here they were, the diner that served the absolute best bacon burgers and French toast, in Camila’s opinion. A waitress came over to hand then menu’s Camila shaking her head with a smile as she sat forward on the booth, hands resting on the seat beside her in anticipation.

“Oh, I don’t need one, thank you. I already know what I want.”

The older woman smiled in return and faced toward EZ holding a menu for him as well.

“And you, do you need a minute?”

EZ shook his head politely.

“No ma’am, I’m ready.”

The waitress tucked the menus back into the rack to the side and pulled out her notepad and pen, ready to jot down their orders. EZ ordered for them both.

“She’ll get a bacon cheeseburger, no tomatoes with the seasoned fries,”

He glanced at Camila just in case he had gotten something wrong but she nodded, smiling at both him and the woman.

“And I’ll have uh, the same but with onion rings. Both with coke.”

The waitress finished writing down their order and then turned away from them, the two lovebirds now alone at the table. EZ clasped his hands together on top of the table as he looked at Camila.

“So, how’s work jefa?”

Camila giggled and shook her head.

“You and Angel keep calling me that like I own the place. I’m just the manager.”

At that EZ shook his head.

“You aren’t ‘just’ anything. You’re a hard worker that’s passionate about what you do, and people see that. Sal sees that. You’ve been a benefit to that bookstore and you’re only going to become more and more valuable once they see how good you are.”

Camila nodded at his words but looked down at the table, a lopsided grin tugging at her lips.

“It ain’t that serious, EZ.”

Reaching across the table, he took her hand in his and held it, eyes locked with hers as she looked up at him.

“It is that serious. You’re young and passionate and smart. That’s what a place like Sal’s needs to keep going and stay at the top. Think about how many people have worked there and passed through and Sal never made them manager, but he picked you didn’t he?”

Camila nodded and so did EZ.

“There’s a reason for that.”

Her eyes twinkled as he spoke to her, pride and love in his voice and she pulled her his hand up to her lips, kissing his knuckles.

“You’re my biggest fan.”

EZ nodded with a prideful smile.

“The biggest. Except for like, my dad. He’s probably your number one fan, actually.”

They both shared a laugh and Camila looked out the window of the diner back to EZ’s bike before returning her gaze to him.

“Well, I’m very thankful.”

EZ’s eyes twinkled as he looked at her, the waitress coming back with their food on a tray.

“So are we.”

“Ayyyy!”

Camila smiled as Gilly called out, arms raised in the air as she walked towards the bar in the clubhouse, EZ behind her and shutting the door. He placed his beer down on the bar top and stood from his stool, taking her into his arms as she came up to him. He hugged her tightly and lifted her off the ground, a cackle coming from her. EZ grinned as he came up, loving to see her having fun with the people that had become his family. There was a slight pang of worry that hit him then.

What would happen if the club ever found out the truth about why he had joined? What if they found out about his deal and not only was he kicked to the curb or worse, she would lose the family she had learned to love as well.

He swallowed around a suddenly dry throat and pushed a smile again, choosing not to let the moment be tainted by his worries. He watched as she made her way around the bar, giving hugs and kisses to Taza, Bishop, and Tranq as if they were tíos she had known all her life. They regarded her with a warmth that made his heart swell and he stood there, stuck in his own head. His life had changed so much in the last year, he could barely keep up sometimes. Everything had been a complete roller coaster for the last 8 years, more time low than high and now it seemed that his luck was finally turning around. He was blessed with freedom, with the ability to be back with his big brother and father, to get a second chance at life and now he was blessed with Cam. A woman that loved and nurtured him while not taking any of his shit either and he was beyond grateful for the way things had started to look up for him.

To the side, Angel watched him, a small smile coming to his lips as he looked at the one worn by his baby bro. He’d been through a lot in the last decade and while there were still feelings of resentment that Angel harbored for his brother from their childhood, they couldn’t be overpowered by the feeling he got seeing EZ happy. To see him happy made him happy and he looked away from EZ to find that Camila had said all her other hellos and had gotten to him, at last. Her smile beamed as she looked at him and he mirrored her, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he tugged her into his chest, one arm holding her in a gentle chokehold as her laugh rang out and bled into the sound of music, laughter and family.

Catch their normalcy in Season 1, Episode 19 “The Big Red Tomato/Dogbot.” Australian queer teen romcom Ellie and Abbie (And Ellie’s Dead Aunt) continues to gain viewer support. The film opened the Mardi Gras Film Festival and is set for another showing at Brisbane Queer Film Festival. Following Ellie and Abbie as they prepare for year 12 formal (Australian prom), the film was created by Monica Zanetti to be a family-friendly lesbian romance. The Shakedown documentary tells the story of pop-up lesbian strip clubs that existed Los Angeles in the 2000s. I genuinely never thought I’d be writing these words, but the film will be available on both PornHub and Criterion. The film represents the underground, Black lesbian owned and operated eponymous strip club and the Shakedown Angels who were the club’s performers. This unique documentary promises to be enlightening. Gina Torres will play a vampire queen in Brides, a Dracula reimagining on ABC. Torres plays one of the three wives of Dracula—a former queen turned vampire turned vampire real estate tycoon—but the wives seem to have moved on from their powerful ex in favor of their non-traditional family. Though the queerness isn’t explicit in the announcement, it’s hard not to see three wives forming a non-traditional family as pretty damn queer. View this post on Instagram So this happened!! Halloween Book Recommendations!👻☠️🎃....Part 1

Hello, my loves!! If you saw my last post, then you know what’s coming. If not, let me tell you....I wanted to do a Halloween Book Recommendation post (long one) in the beginning of the month since it’s pre Halloween month-as I call it for right now. That didn’t happen for the last couple days because I was busy. But here we are! Now...be amazed of allllll the choices you got and even if some may not be your genre or type, that is okay!

📖 The Diviners Trilogy by Libba Bray

This series is one of my favorites...sadly I haven’t finished reading the 2nd book (Lair of Dreams), but with my Halloween binge I am planning on rereading and finishing it. This is 1920’s New York...nuff said. But anyways, we have different persoectives told in 3rd person (I have no idea which 3rd, cuz those I can’t remember for the life of me), who has abilities to see ghosts/future, etc... aka Diviners. Basically physics in other words. In the first one, they battle out this evil monster dude (which is creepy...the monster dude). Lair of Dreams deals with this mystery illness...I can’t say much for this one since I haven’t finished it yet. Before the Devil Breaks You is the 3rd and final book and I don’t know what that one is about.

The audiobooks-y’all do them-I have no comments. I read The Diviners physically (I didn’t really get into audiobooks till recently this year). I did try and listen to Lair of Dreams, but it wasn’t for me. i may give it another try, so no promises on this though. I have heard that they are really good, so hopefully they are as well for you.

📖Stalking Jack the Ripper Series by Kerri Maniscalco

This series is one of my favorites! I’m gonna say that for so many here, but I love this one to pieces to where I preordered the 3rd book (Escaping From Houdini) and also the 4th and final one (Capturing the Devil. CTD is being shipped on the 10th this month (6 DAYS) from my Barnes and Noble location, so I don’t know if it will arrive that day or not.

Anyways, this series follows Audrey Rose Wadsworth in the late 1800s dealing with the Ripper murders. The second involves Dracula, third is Houdini, and the fourth is H.H Holmes. Yes, America’s first serial killer! Sorry, I’m very excited about that. Being a girl in the 1800s/1900s, you’re not really have much to live for. Audrey rather do things that guys can do (forensics in this case), then being at tea parties. I don’t blame you, girl! Then, Thomas Cressworth comes in as well and they both solves these crimes together with the help of Audrey’s uncle (a mortician). If that doesn’t get your interest, then Idk what will.

📖Confessions Series by James Patterson

This series is more mystery than horror. I personally love James Patterson and he has always been one of my favorite authors. This one follows the Angel siblings after their parents’ mystery death (that mystery is the center of the first one (Confessions of a Murder Suspect). These siblings aren’t necessarily ordinary in some since. I don’t want to give away anything, but meds has the reason for that.

Tandy Angel (main character here) solves these murders/crimes throughout the books. The second one contains school murders (not shootings, thankfully) (Confessions: The Private School Murders). The third (Confessions: The Paris Mysteries) takes place in Paris, France. I have not read this one nor the 4th one (Confessions: The Murder of an Angel) so I don’t have any opinions on these ones. It is really good and if you’re a sucker for mysteries and James Patterson boos, then here you go!

📖The Women’s Murder Club by James Patterson

Another Patterson series...I’m a sucker for them. At first, I had called this the Number series because I didn’t know what the series was called and the only thing I knew was that they have numbers in the title.

Meet Lindsay Boxer (main character), homicide inspector for San Fran; Claire Washburn, medical examiner; Jill Bernhardt, assistant D.A.; and Cindy Thomas, San Fran Chronicle writer. 4 amazing chicks who kick butt, form the Women’s Murder Club to solve these murders. Freakin girl power! The chapters are quite short, sometimes longer, but usually short, which if you’re good with that, then cool, if not, that’s okay! I’m pretty sure the latest book of the series published is the 17th one...maybe 18th....one of those two. These are the ones I currently have.

📖The Merciless Series by Danielle Vega

If you love horror, possesion, all that stuff, you’ll love this series. I first discovered it on Facebook when the book trailer popped up. It was a interesting trailer and caught my tention. Couple years later, my senior year of high school, the book fair came (appears twice a year, this was the first appearance) and I had to buy it. It was $8 bucks, originally $10.99. If you are very religious, then maybe not this series. Lots of said people said its Mean Girls and the Craft mixed together.

The first two books follows Sophoa Flores as the main character. Sophia, being the new girl, befriends the 3 populare chicks (Plastics), who they want her to befriend this outsider (Brooklynn). Mean Girls basically but little bit reveresed. Then things happen. Spoilers, so I can’t really clarify it. Second is and it’s what the 2nd is also called....The Excorsim of Sophia Flores...DUN DUN DUNNNN. The third (Origins of Evil) is where Brooklynns story begins, so we know how Brooklynn became and what not. The 4th and final (The Last Rites) features a little bit of Sophia, but this main character is Berkley Hubbard, fresh out of rehab. Honestly, these books do scare me, but not like how when I watched the Conjuring the first time. Perfect read for Halloween season!

📖Mrs. Peregrine Series by Ransom Riggs

Now, I have not been able to finish the dang first book, so Idk. From what I have read and remeber, it is really good! It’s kind of horro...I don’t particularly think it is, but others do. This has mixed media, mainly pictures, but fascinating ones! The four books follows Jacob Portman and his friends of peculiar aka they have abilities and their adventures they have. If you’ve seen the movis, then you understand what I mean. Ransom’s writing is one of my favorites and having pictures/media in them makes me happy. I am a visual person, so the pictures help me a lot.

Anways, the first book is where Jacob is in the peculiar world where the peculiars live in this never ending time loop of the same day, but they rewind time before bombs happen aka Poland in WW 2. I’ve heard so many amazing things of this series! Jesse the Reader (booktuber) LOVES this series and he will recommend it to the end of time.

📖Visions Trilogy by Lisa McMann

These three books involve visions. If you have seen Medium (with Patricia...I cant remember her last name), then you will love Visions. They don’t involve any ghosts, so that’s a difference from Medium.

Here we have (Crash) Jules Demarco, who is seeing visions of this explosion everywhere. She realizes this explosion will happen very soon and she has to stop it before it happens. Not much, I know, but the next one (Bang) (sadly deals with a school shooting), her crush gets the visions this time. The third one (Gasp) has this random character who the two save last book ends up getting the visions then. This vision is a boat accident...a ferry to be precise, but nothing like Titanic...at least I don’t think so. This was a good series and really liked them. Easy to read in 1 day...unless y’all are busy and or a slow reader like me.

📖The Asylum Series by Madeleine Roux

Horror, ghosts, random past lives stuff! I only have the first two books (Asylum and Sanctum), but I think there is a third and one or two novellas. I love these guys! You get some pictures and letters in the books, so cool!

Here is Dan Crawford, who is spending the summe at the New Hampshire College Prep program. Abby Valdez and Jordan (no last name was given) are his new found friends at the program. The catch of all this, the newly built dorms is where the Brookline Asylum used to be. The three friends uncover secrets of their pasts and families and such. It’s such a good series.

📖The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer

The infamous Twilight books. Y’all may have expected this or may not have. I do not have an opinion on this series just yet. I recently read Twilight for the first time and really liked it. That said, hopefully I will get to the other books and see where my opinions lie.

Everyone knows what this series is about, but if not, come to me. Isabella (Bella) Swan moves from the heat of Arizona (I feel you Bella) to the rainy world of Forks, Washington. There, she meets the Cullen siblings...mainly Edward...who happens to be vampires. Bella and Edward get closer and start dating and what not. Ah yes, the infamous woods scene where Edward is like “Say it!” to Bella, it actually happens in the car so casually. This series contains a love triangle of a human, vampire, and a werewolf.

📖The Chronicles of Vladmir Tod by Heather Brewer...okay it’s formerly Heather, but it is now Zac Brewer

I love this series...even though I only read the first two books and a little bit of the 3rd one. If you love vampires...well half human half vampire then yessss! Half human, Half Titan....Half human, half ghoul....if y’all watch anime, then you probably get the two references. Okay...onto the synopsis!

Vladmir Tod is the equivalent of...dang it what is the word....ahhh disgrace cuz he is half human and half vampire. In the vampire world, humans and vamps dont go together. He is raised by his Aunt Nelly, who of course knows he is half vampire. His best friend, Henry also knows. Throughout 8th Grade to 12th Grade, he’s gotta deal with bullies and vampire slayers. What a hard knock life for this dude.

Silence in the Library. I was like 12 when I first watched it and it seriously fucked me up.The Vashta Nerada scarred me for life.They don’t make episodes like this anymore.And the whole atmosphere of the most amazing library in thw universe being abandoned because of an invisible infestation and like there was no way to fight it you just had to get the fuck out

Idk it’s more of a continuous story than specific episodes. But s02e12 when Marilyn Manson’s Say10 plays in the background? I felt that.

‘’Ezikiel Patrol’’. Balls out comic book crazy. I live for it. I did not expect to ever see the things I saw.Ever.

tUA has a more cohearent storyline but Doom Patrol gives me everything I wanted and everything I deserve. Everything I can’t unsee.

here in Greece they play Bella Ciao remix from Money Heist in clubs and everyone loses their damn minds. DW has some good studying music but there is nothing like screaming ‘’bella ciao cIAO CIAO’’ like you are somehow the one  stealing billions from the goverment.

Well, here in my city it’s always sunny and hot, there’s a season of rain,, but in November to February is the best season, is not too hot, is windy and the sun doesn’t try to burn you alive like the rest of the year. 10. A song that gives you all the feels?

Te esperaré – Julio Jaramillo, it’s an old song; I think it’s from the 50’s, it’s a bolero and that’s the music that my grandpa (and biggest love of my life) used to listen to. That song will always remind me of him and every time I listen to it I can’t hold my tears, I lost him last month.
