My Hobbies

Hi, Good Day! I'm Angel Casiano and I'd like to share to you guys my hobbies!

One of my hobbies is

1.Photography

My interest in photography began during the pandemic because I was just cooped up in my room and always on my phone, until a content creator's photos appeared on my newsfeed and I was captivated by their beauty. So I said I wanted to take pictures too, and since then, I've been taking photos whenever I think something looks beautiful. Through photography, I can experiment with perspectives and techniques to capture my vision. It lets me tell stories and express emotions visually, preserving special moments and memories that bring joy when I look back.

2. Singing

Since I was a child, I've really loved singing, probably because my mother also loved to sing. I sing when I'm sad, happy, while working, or while studying because I feel that singing calms me down. When I was a child, I used my singing to earn money because when there was a karaoke party at home or a birthday, my aunts and uncles would ask me to sing, and if I scored 90 or higher, they would give me money. Recently, I joined a contest at our school (Got Talent) on February 19, as part of the 41st anniversary celebration. Our band's name was Renaissance, and we ranked third in that contest. Even though we didn't win, I was still happy because of the experience.

3. Cooking

I enjoy cooking because I am the eldest among my siblings and to help with household chores, my mom taught me how to cook. At first, I could only cook hotdogs and eggs, but as I kept at it, I learned to cook Buttered Shrimps, Pinakbet, Bicol Express, Pinaupong Manok, and many more dishes. My favorite dish to cook is Binagoongan because it is mouthwatering, even just by the smell of it, and it is also one of my family's favorite dishes.

4. . Watching Kdrama

I love watching K-dramas because they have interesting plots and relatable characters. The production quality is great, with beautiful visuals and catchy soundtracks. The emotional depth and romance in K-dramas draw me in and keep me entertained.

I think we can all agree that in the Philippines, when we say we like a particular filipino food, it means that food that our family cooks, ako personally I like my mom's sinigang, adobo, and kare kare the most and the restaurant food are just okay for me... And I ended up with this conclusion kasi nag uusap kami ng mga kaibigan ko and most of us likes our family's cooking the most, like my other friend's favorite food is her mom's binagoongan pero di siya nakain ng ibang binagoongan na di gawa ng mama niya haha. Kaya usually pag nakain ako sa Filipino resto binibili ko yung mga pagkain na di kaya lutuin ng mama or or di niya niluluto tulad ng bicol express tyaka sisig hahaha. Kahit yung bulalo sa tagaytay, mas masarap parin yung sa mama ko.

Welcome to my timeline! I am Jomara, but you can call me Jom. I’m currently 18 years old, born on December 21. I don’t really like putting labels on myself, but in case you are to refer to me with pronouns, I’m comfortable with any pronouns and/or I usually go by she/her and they/them. I mostly spend my day by reading fanfics, watching films, scrolling through different socmed platforms (e.g. Twitter), and most of all, admiring art. Recently, I’ve realized that I do not have a knack in playing games that usually need strategy and tactics, for my mind and personality are much simpler than I thought; however, I can tell that I’m adept in finding fun and beauty in everything I come across to, which I think is very important in life. 

I like caramel-flavored beverages and iced coffee. I usually order salted caramel frappuccino, salted caramel milk tea, salted caramel ice cream, caramel cappuccino, and caramel iced coffee in coffee shops. I like to eat my mother’s adobo, pork binagoongan, and chicken curry; my father’s sisig and pork dinuguan; and my brother's bicol express. I have a wide range of music tastes as I like to listen to Taylor Swift, Arctic Monkeys, HOZIER, DPR, HONNE, Harry Styles, The NBHD, LE SSERAFIM, STAYC, Rivermaya, Zild, and etc. I also like reading novels that have a slowburn type of romance; I’m fond of watching people develop love for each other in a pace that fits their feelings.

I’m not really fond of cakes because of their texture. I have a huge dislike, too, of insects. I’m not a pet-person, but I do find them adorable. I don’t like it, too, when people leave the door open and turn off the lights when I’m already lying down in my bed. Moreover, I dislike people who cross the line and make me feel that I’m obligated to answer them. But the most important thing of all, I hate men’s fragile ego!

Recently, I've been interested in cosplaying. I’d love to try it some other time, when my tasks are finally done, and if possible, go to cosplay conventions, too. Apart from that, dolling myself up is a new interest for me. I’ve never done make-up myself before, but now I want to learn it. I’ve been buying products, trying those out myself, and I think I’d buy more, as I’m loving myself more as a woman. I can finally share sentiments with other girls who love to doll themselves up to look more confident and pretty. It’s really fascinating!

Tipid na ulam 😅

Mahal pag bili nang bili ng cooked food for baon and dinner, so dapat mag luto talaga. Yung mga niluluto ko palang is madadali na mura ang ingredients tapos tatagal ng halos 1 week.

Para dumami yung ulam, nilalagyan ko nalang ng repolyo hahaha. Ganun din ginagawa nila mommy at daddy pag nag titipid, ngayon ko nalang na-gets, dati kasi nag iinarte ako pag biglang merong repolyo ang ulam lol. Yung giniling naman halos 1 week din siguro tinagal sakin, salitan sila nung creamy mixed veggies. Sobrang tipid! Next na tinatarget ko na tipid ay munggo haha pero baka subukan ko mag Bicol Express and Pork Binagoongan dahil halos same lang sila ng ingredients.

Woke up at 5am to Eddie's alarm. Asked him what date it is and he told me it's the 18th. We greeted each other a happy 6th monthsary. He gave me extra warm cuddles before leaving. I was too sleepy to reciprocate but I was awake enough to greet him though. Couldn't go back to sleep so I just did today's Wordle. I felt sleepy after and woke up around 9:50am.

I was excited for breakfast today because of the croissants I bought yesterday. Paired it with the protein nutella I had and fried 2 eggs and cooked the San Marino corned tuna that I had with me here. It was such a good breakfast. Cleaned the house a bit and went back upstairs to have a look at the canoeing services that was available in Lake District. We have to plan what we're going to be doing next weekend. I'm kind of excited to do some activities especially the water activities that we're planning.

Niki is going to be holding a concert here on October. I just ate breakfast and all the tickets under 40GBP were sold out already. My gosh. The ones that were left are all the 120GBP ones. I just gulped and said, "Fuck it!" and bought one ticket with my eyes closed. I was about to pass considering I'm well above my expenditure this month and payday's far from reach but I will not regret not going this time because I WILL BE THERE. I've missed Dua Lipa, Lady GaGa, Carly Rae, and etc and I will not miss any more concert from the artists that I love. I've let so many opportunities pass me by and I will not pass up any more. This year is literally my poor era and I kind of not regret it. I may be poor but I'm having fun so what the hell. Life's too short.

Played a bit of Zelda and called the family back in the Philippines. Took a shower afterwards and biked to Canning Town using a different route. Went to the barber shop first. It costed me 27GBP but the haircut was worth it. Went to Morrisons afterwards and bought the ingredients for Pork Binagoongan. Eddie wanted to cook but would be coming home late. I said that I didn't mind cooking. I told him he cooks the food that I want and I wouldn't mind cooking what he wanted too. He's going a bit late from climbing and he still wanted to cook just because he wanted me comfortable in the house. He's sweet but that's not how I do things. Went to the gym afterwards and did legs and some cardio.

Went home and cooked the dish he wanted. I think I've achieved the desired taste for the dish. Prepared his meal for tomorrow after cooking. He arrived a bit late, around 9:30pm. We had dinner together. The dish was a hit. I loved it, he loved it. My grandma would be proud of me.

Today was a good day.

Simple People

I will live in a faraway countryside.

I will have a garden bountiful of dahlias, tulips, roses, and chamomiles.

I won't run out of carrots, sweet potatoes, different kinds of peas, tomatoes, and greens.

I will set a little tea table by this garden of mine, and on it, my husband and I will eat hearty breakfasts and tasty snacks in the afternoon.

The kitchen of my lovely home will always be filled with radiant warmth, laughter, and smell of delicious food.

My husband and I would cook our favorite binagoongan, ginataang laing, sinigang na baboy, sisig, and inabraw. And when time gets good, he'll prepare me some good quality steak, Caesar salad, and Hungarian sausages.

Our children will be loved. Oh, loved so well.

We'll learn how to fix holes and arguments, just like what we're doing now.

We'll enjoy the little things in life. Like fixing up the door handle. Running up to the mall late at night to buy materials for our little one's project due tomorrow. Cleaning up after our dog or cat's vomit. Washing the dishes or folding the laundry.

And when time gets boring, we can pack up our bags and go for a little trip on the beach, on a nearby bigger city, or up in the mountains.

And when we feel like the other person is struggling, we'll hug and hold each other's hand and say... "Don't worry baby, everything's gonna be alright. You'll see."
