I know I'm not the only one that's thought Blair Waldof would have looked fucking amazing in full time gothic Lolita fashion. Like my god the ruffles, cloaks, black nail polish, blood red lipstick, fans, capes, gloves, corsettes, frills, lace, pettycoats, gartabelts, stockings, ornate jewellery, outlandish headwear, bows of every size literally everywhere & strings of pearls long enough to hang a man. Hey, I absolutely love ur headcanons, so I wanted to ask you: 1. How many children do you think C&B will have? I always imagined them having a big family (like five or six children). 2. How do you think Chuck would react to Lily's death?

Thank you! I’m glad you love them! 1) I’m so sorry to disappoint you, but I think Henry will be an only child. This mainly for two reasons.

Firstly, I think they’ll feel totally fulfilled and complete when they’ll have Henry. I don’t see them feeling the need to expand their family. Henry will become the center of their world, in a pretty all absorbing way. With this I don’t mean they wouldn’t be able to give the same amount of love to another child, I simply think that, after Henry, they wouldn’t get the sense something is still missing in their lives.

Secondly, Chuck and Blair have extremely busy lives. It takes a lot of effort to manage a child and their careers together, considering the kind of parents they want to be: attentive and present. It’s hard to maintain an equilibrium. Henry being an only child is more realistic in this scenario.

2) Chuck would be absolutely devastated. Losing a mother is one of the most painful experiences in life - if not the most painful - but for him it would be worse. It’s something that would  bring up a lot of his demons and darkness. Loss is something Chuck will probably never be able to come to terms with. He experiences grief in a very problematic way; he rejects it and how weak it makes him feel and as a result he can’t elaborate it. So he shuts everybody out. I often think of this moment and if I have to wonder about when Chuck and Blair’s marriage will have a crisis, this will probably be the occasion; it’ll be a tough moment to overcome. Blair will have to be strong for both and put together the pieces of a broken husband.
