My Opinions on Every 5Ds Ship

Cuz I did this for VRAINS a while ago and today I thought “which other Yugioh shows do I have strong takes on the ships?” And so I settled on 5Ds because really, when do I not have a strong take on 5Ds? I’m excluding any ship with Leo and Luna by the way, they are too young to ship. If I miss any others, which is very possible, don’t hesitate to let me know. Finally, dub names. Because I enjoyed 5Ds primarily in dub so deal with it.

Alteregoshipping (Antinomy x Bruno)

I don’t understand shipping someone with themself, I think I made that clear in the VRAINS list. So again: “what? No.”

Androidshipping (Antinomy x Primo)

This is going to go for any other ships of this type but Primo is only one third of an interesting character and thus shipping him is odd to me. Plus the bulk of his appearances were in WRGP and the less I remember about that arc the better. This ship is another L.

AZshipping (Antinomy x Z-One)

Now this just sounds like Toolshipping but with extra steps. Well, I like Toolshipping, and I like robots, so I’d take this one if it were served to me. So it’s a yes.

Bigbirdshiping/Novashipping (Carly x Kalin)

I’ve encountered this ship before and I didn’t really get why it was a thing. I guess they were both Dark Signers and could share that survivors’ guilt/trauma. If Carly were to remember that is and I suppose it could be a decent “sunshine one lifts up the grumpy one” dynamic but… I already got that dynamic from Jack/Carly in the actual show. Why change perfection? *glares at post Dark Signers* Am I right? Okay ship I suppose, there’s potential, it just wouldn’t be my go to.

Bluebirdshipping (Crow x Bruno)

Gosh this ship name is so cute. I don’t remember any of their interactions but it’s a decent idea. Soft maybe on this one, I’d have to see it in action.

Blueroseshipping (Akiza x Bruno)

This wasn’t on the list but I’ve seen fanart of it and… yeah they didn’t interact much in canon (if at all in a substantial way) but I really enjoy the idea of this soft boy/tough girl dynamic. Maybe I’m projecting, but I like the idea of this ship. Not one I’d actively go for when I have options I prefer but it's a cute idea with cute fanart.

Boostershipping (Yusei x Rally)

Was I just weird for interpreting Rally as way younger than Yusei? Like a little brother figure? That’s how I always saw their relationship. So this ship is a no. They might actually be closer in age, anime ages are weird, but I can’t really get into this ship.

Brightshipping (Yusei x Akiza x Crow)

I’ll get to all these individual ships later but for now I’ll say, I like this as a vee because two of the pairs here are great and the other doesn’t appeal to me.

Careshipping (Jack x Mina)

I have several problems with this one. Mina worships the ground Jack walks on, which just isn’t a healthy way to feel about someone, and she’s… not his boss but it feels like she has too much power over him in the workplace, at least in the first two arcs and she seems older than him too so there’s just… too much of a power imbalance here, at least the way interpreted it. Plus I just… don’t really like Mina that much, sorry. So the ship is a no.

Chevaliershipping (Yusei x Sherry)

Meh. I don’t care. Not surprised this exists but I have no opinion on it whatsoever. It’s there.

Cupramenshipping (Lazar x Jack)

…these ship names are killing me. I can tell this is a crack ship and as a crack ship, it’s fantastic and hilarious. I want more of these idiots drooling over noodles together. This doesn’t work as a legit ship, Lazar is way too old for him, so logically, it’s a no. I just think it’s funny as shit.

Disdianshipping (Lester x Primo)

Th-they both make up- that’s Apori- I don’t- why-

No.

Faithshipping (Yusei x Akiza)

I mean… I’ve talked about this one quite a bit already. It’s one of only two protag/lead girl ships I like (the other being Fruitshipping). I love the way Yusei supports her throughout the show. I love their little moments together, especially the scene where he comforts her after she finds out the truth about the Arcadia movement and all their moments in the godsend of an episode where Akiza learns to turbo duel. All the guys are really supportive of her but Yusei took it a step further. I love love love the rollerskates scene. He’s teasing but still supportive and sweet the whole time, and his unwavering belief in her abilities was just so damn sweet. it’s just a sweet ship. A bit vanilla I suppose but vanilla can be great with the right toppings and these two are topped with a lot of sweetness that I enjoy.

Firebirdshipping (Akiza x Crow)

And I also enjoy this! I thought their canon friendship in the show was really sweet. They always seem to lift each other up when they’re given chances to interact, I especially always loved the bit where Crow was initially jealous of Akiza when she took his spot on the team but after spending some time training with her, he realises he’s not really mad at her and switches to supporting her instead. Their moments in WRGP and Ark Cradle also contributed to this friendship standing out to me and after writing that one-shot about them reconnecting post series, I grew to enjoy the relationship as a romantic one. But don’t ask me to choose between it and Faith. I don’t wanna get involved in that ship war, they’re both about even for me.

Flowershipping (Akiza x Mina)

I couldn’t determine that this was a real ship but my opinion on it is pretty short and underwhelming: no because Akiza is one of my favourite characters of all time and deserves better than Mina. I don't dislike Mina but I don't care for her either.

Isolationshipping (Akiza x Misty)

“I don’t know your brother!” “You’re a liar and a murderer!” Are the only things I can remember these two saying to each other so I can’t really see it working out. Soft nah, not my thing.

Justiceshipping (Jack x Kaz)

I cannot remember who Kaz is, I’m not gonna lie. Even looking at pictures of him did nothing to jog my memory. Pre-WRGP and especially WRGP are such a blur for me so I have no opinion on this ship.

Kingcrabshipping (Jack x Yusei)

Normally I enjoy the protag/rival ships but… these characters are more like brothers so this ship is a no.

Kingshipping/Petshipping (Jack x Goodwin)

Ew ew ew ew ew ew no no no no no bad gross don’t like it. Kill it with fire.

Kizunashipping (Crow x Jack x Yusei)

Again, I see these three as adopted brothers of sorts, like Loki and Thor. Sure they’re not blood related but their relationship is more familial. Any one of these characters with Kalin would be a better option.

Leadershipping (Jack x Kalin x Yusei)

Yeah, there ya go. Stick a white-haired psycho twink in the middle of the two brothers and I can get behind it as a vee.

Yeah for some reason I didn’t interpret Kalin as a brother to them, maybe because he never really had the mother/son connection with Martha that the other three do and we learned he existed at kind of an odd time.

Markedshiping (Crow x Yusei)

Aaaand back to two brothers. I do not ship the brothers, they are all Martha’s kids.

Omenshipping (Carly x Misty)

Honestly, before Jack swooped Carly off her feet and I got incredibly invested in that ship, I did have my eyes on Carly/Misty and on rewatches of Dark Signers… yeah, I wish they’d gotten to interact more, especially post Dark Signers. They clicked pretty well and the way Misty comforted her when she found out she was a Dark Signer was one of the few non Jack vs Carly scenes in the sub that actually stuck with me (the dub version of the scene was just kind of okay by comparison). It’s a decent ship, I like it.

Psychicshipping (Sayer x Akiza)

Ew gross oh god no get away from Akiza you freaking creep she is a minor what the fuck-

Punchshipping (Bruno x Jack)

Like Crow/Bruno, I’ve never really thought of this one though I feel like these two wouldn’t get along as well. Jack seemed pretty jealous/aggressive toward Bruno, at least when he first became a part of the crew. Could be an okay 'enemies to lovers' ship I guess but eh. Not my thing.

Ravenknightshipping (Crow x Sherry)

Okay so this one wasn’t on the masterlist I got but it is a ship I know exists so I wanted to talk about it. I’ll admit this ship did feel a bit… obligatory at first glance, like it only exists because “Yusei and Jack have girlfriends, Crow needs one too! So let’s ship him with this single girl!” But after seeing the Crow and Akiza vs Sherry duel, I did actually enjoy their interactions and can get behind this ship.

Regentshipping (Jack x Kalin)

Kalin with any of the Enforcers is a win. All these ships got the history and the bond and the chemistry and some damn good angst to back them up. And Jack can literally sweep Kalin off his feet. So I may not actively ship this one but if I see content of it, it gets a like from me.

Retributionshipping/Scoopshipping (Jack x Carly)

So according to the masterlist I’m using, “Retributionshipping” specifically refers to Dark Signer Carly while “Scoopshipping” is normal Carly and while I can understand these being separate in Duel Links or something, Dark Signer Carly in my mind isn’t really her own character, she’s Carly who’s been taken over by a dark force. Still Carly deep down just doesn’t always behave like herself. So these are the same ship to me and I don't feel like splitting them up. It’s also my favourite ship in 5Ds. I love them but to summarise, Jack and Carly’s relationship was the only plotpoint I cared about from beginning to end when I first watched 5Ds in sub (the dub added a lot more life to the show for me and I prefer it overall). I found their first meeting endearing and seeing them interact always put a smile on my face. Their relationship really changed both characters for the better and the payoff was legendary. Dub or sub, I always get teary eyed when I watch Jack’s attempted sacrifice and Carly dying in his arms. As much as Post Dark Signers retconning their relationship upset me, I will always look back fondly on Jack and Carly’s relationship in Dark Signers.

Reverseshipping (Crow x Kalin)

Again, Kalin with any of the Enforcers is a win and these two can bond over both having gone through prison and getting those markers. Also, Crow was always my favourite of the trio of brothers so this one is above Jack/Kalin in my mind for that reason alone. And yet… it’s still not my favourite Kalin ship.

Roseknightshipping (Sherry x Akiza)

I like the one little moment they share after Sherry’s duel with Yusei and Sherry being Akiza’s inspiration to start turbo duelling is definitely a great foundation. I would’ve liked more moments between them to back it up (before Ark Cradle) but it’s a fun ship.

Also, I’ve looked ahead and Akiza/Crow/Sherry doesn’t seem to be a ship (or at least not one with an official name) which is a shame because I actually really like the idea of them as a throupple, especially if it starts as Akiza and Crow inducting a shy confused Sherry into their relationship. Hehe, wink wink nudge nudge.

Ruinshipping (Akiza x Jack)

Honestly, all of Team 5Ds have such amazing chemistry that I can see any of the (OF AGE) characters being shipped. Out of the (OF AGE) ships in the group, this is probably the least appealing to me as they seem a little too similar but their memorable interactions in canon, Jack saving her from the crumbling building in Dark Signers (despite barely knowing her at the time), and Jack beating up the guys who tried to sabotage her Turbo duel against Trudge, are enough to make me believe these two are friends and with the right writing, could be more.

Sadistshipping (Mina x Goodwin)

Bleh, no. He’s too old for her. Granted, I did say I interpreted Mina as too old for Jack so like… in her twenties but… come on, a twenty year old dating someone with gray hair is weird, it’s just blatantly weird.

Satisfactionshipping (Crow x Kalin x Jack x Yusei)

Love the ship name, but I don’t like shipping the brothers with each other. If it’s just the three of them dating Kalin in a weird vee, then I can get behind it but as a… four person throupple (apparently it can be called a quad or a foursome) doesn’t work for me.

Squabbleshipping (Jack x Crow)

Nope, don’t ship the brothers and these two in particular are extremely dysfunctional.

Toolshipping (Yusei x Bruno)

If you kept up with my sporadic and polarised 5Ds liveblogs, you know I enjoy this ship. They clicked fast and Bruno sacrificing himself for Yusei, while not Jack/Carly levels of sadness, was still very moving and tragic. Ark Cradle really was such a breath of fresh air. And I like this ship.

Treasonshipping (Kalin x Yusei)

This one’s my favourite Kalin ship, no question. I love their duels in Dark Signers, I love how Yusei never stopped believing in him, I love the homie embrace in front of the rainbow, and my god did I have fun with Crashtown largely due to their gay as hell interactions and Kalin’s characterization. Just a great ship overall.

Trickstarshipping (Crow x Brave)

Not gonna lie, when I saw that ship name I expected some crossover ship involving Blue Angel. How did this ship get its name? I must know. I’m guessing Brave was the one who used the Loki card so the Trickstar association makes sense but where did the star part come from? Tell me please!

Anyways, I hated WRGP with a passion so Team Ragnarok, while mildly interesting due to their associations with Norse Mythology, never stuck out to me so I don’t remember any of these two’s interactions. Assuming they duelled but honestly for most of this arc my eyes were rolled to the back of my head just waiting for it to end so I can’t get into this ship.

Troolshipping (Bruno x Kalin x Yusei)

Okay so I couldn’t confirm this as a real ship but honestly, even if this ship name isn’t official, I love it. And I love this as a throupple. After all, why have Kalin and Bruno fight for Yusei’s hand in marriage when he has two hands?

Violetfrareshipping (Dragan x Jack)

Same as Trickstar. I can’t bring myself to care about WRGP or Team Ragnarok.

And that's all the official ships I found that have at least one post here on Tumblr. I think. 5Ds had a lot more ships than VRAINS did so it's possible I missed some apart from the ones I intentionally ignored. And yet throughout my digging, I did not find a ship name for Trudge and Mina. I’m a little iffy on that ship myself but they really do have good chemistry and some fun interactions. I’m genuinely shocked there isn’t a ship name for them but okay, I guess. Hope y'all liked my pointlessly long post.

1. Three ships: shivshipping (sylvester x kiryu) it owns my life forever and ever idc if it's my oc x canon it counts to me. they are the train wreck i constantly play over and over in my head. and then toolshipping (bruno x yusei) is probably my favorite canon x canon ship. they're so cute and tragic. finally destinyshipping (edo x saiou) genuinely such a good ship i barely see anyone talking about. their history kinda fucked me up while watching gx ngl.

2. First ever ship: i do not remember lmao. the furthest back i can remember is aztecshipping (yuma x iii) i can distinctly remember doing aztec rp with my friend on minecraft many many years ago. before that i have no clue. i don't think i shipped much of anything prior to that. i don't ship very often in general lol

3. Last song: elysium by invert animate. i really like without a whisper off the same album (heavener) so i decided to listen to it in its entirety last night.

4. Last movie: grave of the fireflies iirc. very fucking sad but good.

5. Currently reading: nothing rn i just finished we have always lived in the castle by shirley jackson the other day. it definitely took a bit to hook me but it was worth it. very much a ghost story/local folktale prequel type book. i also finished revelator by daryl gregory recently and i would totally recommend it if you like horror and southern gothic. i might start if it bleeds by stephen king soon or one of the other books i have lying around.

6. Currently watching: again nothing rn 😭 i finished fullmetal alchemist brotherhood a while ago and i'm not really ready to take anything else in yet. i want to watch the 2003 version but no idea when i'll get around to it.

7. Currently consuming: minecraft videos and video essays lmao.

🙃 Faces facing left! 🌈 I'm obsessed with cold colors, especially blue. (In media my favourite character is always the blue one. Dimitri from FE3H, Bruno and Yusei from YGO, Chrom from FE:A...) 🎼 When I draw I always listen to metal music, mainly Ne Obliviscaris and Rammstein or Till Lindemann's solo band (just because I love his voice sooo much, it's one of my obsessions). 🌗 I prefer day (morning) because at night the ipad screen kills my eyes even with the light. 🙌 Here's a lil Mitya for you made with my left hand. hiya! idk why i never put my fave ships down. i remember when i was going to, but i never did.

well, that being said i ship a lot of things so like... yeah. i think it's bc i don't wanna name everything i ship but idk. i can't really remember the reason why. but i can tell you some of my ships! i'll just name some from each series.

dm: deathshipping (yami marik x ryou bakura), chaseshipping (tristain taylor/hiroto honda x duke devlin/ryuji otogi), puzzleshipping/blindshipping (yami yugi/atem x yugi), puppyshipping (joey wheeler/katsuya jounouchi x seto kaiba), and of course theifshipping bc they're basically canon. i also enjoy anzu/miho too... bc miho deserves love. again, this isn't all of my ships, if you're curious i'm like... hella into deathshipping LMAO.

gx: rivialshipping gx (jaden/judai x chazz/jun), idolshipping (fubuki/atticus x zane/ryo), kenzan/shou, jim/jun, medici/samejima, johan/edo. i love johan/edo so much, i loved them for YEARS. since i was a child. jim/jun is one of my new fave ships, i think they would be funny and cute <3. idolshipping on top (imo), i loooove fubuki/ryo, i want them to be HAPPY.

5ds: crow/aki, yusei/aki, jack/carly, yusei/kiryu, yusei/bruno, harald/brave/dragan. when i was younger i was super into bruno/kiryu but not so much now. i think they're still cute! but i'm not as into them as now. i swear to god i had more 5ds pairings but i haven't seen it in a bit so my mind is a bit hazy. carly/misty lived in my mind rent free when i was a kid too. i thought they were great. again, i can't think of anything lmao.

zexal: HELLSHARK, i fucking love hellshark. they've been my fave since i was a child and god they make me insane. yuma/astral, mizael/durbe, rio/kotori, iii/gilag, v/kaito, alito/vector. i love ewjhfbwe yuma/astral, they make me wanna cryyyy. and and wejhfbwe mizael/durbe??? I LOVE THEM, but damn hellshark makes me so fucking insane (iv/ryoga)

arc-v: reiji/yuya, yugo/rin, yuto/shun, yuzu/masumi, dennis/yuri, yuto/ruri, dennis/shun, shun/kaito, sawatari/gongenzaka, yuya/sawatari, reiji/sawatari, reiji/yuya/sawatari, crow/shinji, wjehfbwe. i'm super mentally ill abt dennyuri + reiji/yuya JHBWEFBHWE. and in general, shun ships too. like i love shun so much wejhfwe. yuzu/masumi was actually my first arc-v ship!!! so they're still very dear to me <3 <3.

crossover: the ONLY one i'm not embarrassed abt sharing is bruno/jun. i love them so much, like i'm not even joking. they make me SO very happy. yes, it's very random and "crackship" BUT I DON'T CARE I LOVE THEM!!!!! and yes, i do have more crossover ships but wejfhbwe i am shy to share LMAO.

DISCLAIMER: i am a multishipper, and these are like... not all of my ships. basically: if i think they look cute/good/have enough chemistry (or brainrot potential) together, i will most likely ship it. i think multishipping fun and it's fun to see a bunch of couples <3.

How about an Encanto AU? I have not fully thought this through but Rua/Leo as Mirabel, the other Signers as the cousins. (I can't remember names for the life of me, but Crow as the shape-shifter, Aki as the plant girl, Ruka/Luna as the one who talks to animals. Perhaps? Idk I'd love to hear your thoughts about where everyone would fit in!)

NO WAIT THIS MIGHT BE COOL it's just hard to find a role for everyone-

I like the idea of Rua being the protag without powers, we know he would have loved being one of the Signers XD and he did get a signer mark in the end, like Mirabelle!!

About Ruka, yeah, her being the sibling who could talk with animals (Antonio) fits much better bc she's the last who gets her powers (do you remember the beginning of the movie, where Mirabelle encourages him right before the rite? That part, but with Rua and Ruka, it feels adorable to me! Even though it's a little heart-breaking for Rua) AND because she can talk to the monsters spirits in 5Ds!

Crow as Camilo (shape-shifter) would be so freaking hilarious, sign me up IMMEDIATELY

I don't need to comment on Aki and Isabela tbh, the parallelism is so perfect it really doesn't need any explanation

JACK? CLEARLY LUISA (but with fewer insecurities XD)

At this point, only Yusei would be left out... I'm crying bc age wise, the only role left that he could actually FIT IS FREAKING MARIANO HAHAHA (Isabela's bf, who later notices Dolores XD Yusei x Ruka is NOT my ship, but that's what would happen with a direct parallelism, unfortunately. I'd have to bend the main storyline in my favor :V)

I reeeeally wouldn't know about the other characters (Bruno, tia Pepa, Abuela...), they're all older, and I'd have trouble into looking for niche 5Ds characters to get them all in the Madrigal family.

We simply don't have an Abuela (Martha would be an excellent Julieta, Mirabel's mother, but never an Abuela) and Bruno's character is too important to be given to very niche characters... I first thought of Kiryu (I'd have to make him much older, of course)! But Pepa??? Would she be Sherry, with Bruno??? Again, they'd have to be much older-

SOooo yeah, this AU half-works as it is, but with some changes, it's an excellent story!

Ships & Headcanons

Z-ONE

These are my Z-one ships as requested, some are standard or popular that I have a hard time really jumping on board with.

Aporia-

Entrusts his life to Z-one.

Was the last to die on Z-one.

Tried to save Z-one, getting him to see the error of his ways- very human trait.

Shows Z-one fierce loyalty.

Z-one admires Aporia's human strength.

I don't really ship them much but there's enough to go off of got a decent pairing.

Paradox-

They look cool together, physically (depending on their state of being).

Z-one looks good with most of his lords of destruction (I know they are all just friends but we're ignoring that today).

Decent fanart but incredibly rare.

Paradox respects Z-one's research and is loyal to him, Z-one acknowledges Paradox's devotion and tenacity.

Definitely a lot of study dates.

Mom and Dad of the team.

I think it's slightly cuter than Aporia x Z-One but that's about it.

Bruno/Antinomy-

They both ended up in the same black whole together, surviving and landing in another dimension where they are together~/hj

Best Z-one ship out if his underlings if you ask me.

They were all smart but Bruno was also a pro turbo duelist I am guessing Z-one thought it was cool.

Would have such calm understanding dates, Bruno would politely bring up topics so Z-one could eventually get into calm (and brain exhausting) conversations.. yes, that's a date.

Turbo racing is definitely something these to enjoy.

They both love Yusei and bond over their idolization because Aporia is still a "fan-in-denial"

Aki Izayaoi-

Her relationship with Yusei, Z-one probably would desire to emulate it.

Aki sees Z-one from his "good side" and thinks -"Yusei, has he always looked this manly" because of the mature and forlorn look in the eyes of this man who has lost it all.

Z-one is best substitute teacher for when Yusei is on a date with Bruno.

He's a Yusei fan, but he also thought about printing himself a poster of Akiza.

Aki updates her android and gets this hunk of problems.

This man has created robots, implanted past memories, and even time traveled but he can't handle a tsundere yelling Aki.

Akiza pouts, Z-one doesn't give in. She huffs and storms off while Z-one thinks of how hard that was.

Yusei Fudou-

Yes, they'd get a lot of strange looks but these two wouldn't care.

A one-sided relationship in Z-one's mind but a close friendship to Yusei.

You like Aki? That's great, how do you feel about trying an open relationship- I could join you- or even observe and give you tips for next time.

Z-one checks himself out "Lookin' good Yus". Yusei: Thanks?

Their dates are even worse then Z-one's and Bruno's together. Z-one leaves a serious discussion proud of what they discussed, satisfied about progress and internally screaming. Yusei is just like "Wow, he's a smart guy" and acknowledges how amazing Z-one is wholesomely.

Cosplayer dates their idol.

Yusei: You've got balls. Z-one: I know, they're the same size as yours now.

I don't know why I ended up liking this as I didn't ship them much before this list.

Sherry Leblanc-

Z-one thinks she's his girlfriend and doesn't care if she was never informed.

He wants to Ah ah ah~

Handle her no differently than you would a flower or a butterfly.

Sherry loses. Z-one: this is why we can't have nice things.

Feels left out when her and Bruno rendezvous together, makes it a mission of Bruno to supply him with the information.

Wow a beautiful foreigner- fan blush. Now he can be a cool protagonist like Yusei because he has a girl on his team.

He's given Sherry a futuristic phone and she uses it often, there's a tracker in it and she has no idea.

I think they are a cute pair, a pair that is definitely only existing in Z-one's fantasies.

Before he turns into a raisin, Sherry would be a lot flirtier. She'd still flirt on Z-one to tease and he would silently stand their having an existential crisis.

Let's talk about Primo Ships! I will be listing my ships and then writing headcanons for them.

Here are the ships I will be discussing:

Primo x Eurea

Primo x Bruno

Primo x Yusei

Primo x Zone

Primo x Akiza

Primo x Sherry

Alright let's start...

Primo and Eurea spent a great deal of time with each other as they were lovers during the apocalypse. She was his comrade, and his lieutenant. They clearly put their lives in each other's hands cause they trust each other. His dispair bloomed when she passed.

In the relationship I feel like they probably teased each other with trying to up run the other.

Eurea could have made little remarks about Primo's strength and reserved nature, he'd respond with some cute comeback. Although they were in a genocide and times weren't so great everytime she smiled he couldn't hold back his.

They probably slept near each other and talked late at night when they were in hiding at times one another couldn't sleep and embrace each other. They most like also helped bandage each other's injuries.

At moments when Primo would be reckless she would calm him down and no matter what risky decisions each other made they'd push through it.

Well, let's move onward to our next ship...

Primo and Bruno's relationship bloomed during their times as robots. They were former friends from the future who were sent back in time to change History by Zone, but little did they know there would be some fruity angst.

First have you seen how Primo acted when he as dueling Antinomy?! Primo was heated but impressed at how smooth his moves were he actually really liked his dueling. Primo was maybe jelly at the moment he was helping Yusei so he kept spewing some nonsense but internally taken by Antinomy. Hm, Tsundere no more like angry ex, as in, weren't you on my side?

Once Primo was met with the other forms of himself, Aphoria, found out the Zone decided to get rid of Bruno's memories he was rather upset. This is for a few reasons. Primo's friend's memories were altered someone who he obviously cared for in the future as a comrade even if he didn't show his affection much. This is also because it's cruel having Bruno make friends and have to die fighting them, it's more suffering and Bruno like him suffered enough. He even went against Zone for this! Thanks to Leo's sympathy as well. (Yes, I know Aphoria is also Jacob and Lester but Primo is there too so this is how he felt) Aphoria was Bruno's friend already before robotism.

For our next couple Primo x Yusei...

These two are a mess, Primo wants to destroy Yusei and his dreams and Yusei wants to shut the crazy in Primo up and save the world etc.

Primo claims to call Yusei foolish and naive but ends up losing to Yusei causing him to see how much of a threat but also how admirable the human heart could be. Primo and Yusei's duels are very active and it's like a wild goose chase.

Primo and Yusei both at one point like Bruno and with that they have heat with each other but can see why both have admirable qualities even if they can't see eye to eye.

I bet Primo ends up contemplating his calculations and views after his duels with Yusei and starts denying that he could find traits in Yusei the very guy who was in his way.

Primo says a lot of sarcastic comments during battle because of Zone liking Yusei, and Primo seeking approval didn't like such from a lowly human but thinks it's kinda attractive how much Yusei doesn't give up.

Primo and Zone is our next ship...

Now I won't get too much into this one, let's just know that Primo will do anything for Zone. Primo supports Zone's path all the way he wants to get his revenge on the world but also get acknowledgement from the one who preaches himself as God. Well, if so would he worship? (This also goes with why Primo must find Yusei fascinating as he was the very legend that motivated Zone in his future past)

However, He was a little hurt with this as well. Although he'd follow Zone's orders he didn't like being known as a mere tool. He wanted Zone to cast his heart away and Zone made sure to see if it was truly what he wanted (it was) but when Zone started to go bonkers and when Zone used Bruno he knew it wasn't the same Zone he loved. Zone didn't seem him as Aphoria anymore (Primo still be here partly) not a friend like old times, like the times they'd work on projects together and promised to fight alongside each other. Their relationship was over, especially when he drew the card that sealed his fate and basically said they weren't a match. However, Zone may try making up to him when they meet later on, same with Bruno. 😭

Alright let's talk about Primo and Aki...

Well one, he probably finds Aki attractive because it's Yusei's girl. What enemy doesn't want their opponent's girl to like them or to be defeated by them. Aki and Primo probably would've been one of the most angsty ships of you got her back in her old Black Rosey Witch days. These two sadists would try their best to take each other out and he'd love to see Yusei agitated with him being with Aki. It would be cool if she was brainwashed like Sherry and worked alongside Zone and them...anyways...

If he was ever to fight alongside Aki I bet he'd protect as Yusei's girl (if they ever had a chance to meet after they all died) because she's a woman at the battle field who has a righteous heart like his ex Eurea. And I think Aki would find Primo attractive as well because he is a great duelist and has some spike to the hair.

-lol don't take this seriously but Arcadia movement Aki preaching to Primo while he'd respond with talking about how the past had done wrong would be funny and not get anywhere.

Last but not least let's talk about Primo and Sherry.

I feel like he wouldn't hesitate to take Sherry out as an opponent like so with all 5Ds members but I bet he'd like Sherry intelligence and combative nature. Her being Zone's friend would be one thing that would draw some appeal in their duel, that and that's she's a very attractive girl.

I think they'd both be the ones to be very blunt and cold by nature even working next to each other or in a simple conversation as they both tend to come off a bit intense.

They'd probably work well in a team if they both get something mutually gained from such. I also believe that sherry could be around Eurea's age.

How would team 5ds react to having a super clumsy significant other? I'm talking 'trips over their own feet at least once a day' clumsy.

Sure thing! This is pretty long, so I’m gonna put it all under the cut.

Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s

Yusei Fudo:

“Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?” He keeps a first aid kit on hand for when he’s working on his duel runner, so he’s always ready if they manage to get a minor scrape.

Yusei is so patient honestly, he’s always got time for his s/o. Hurt yourself? He’s got this. Trip and break something? It’s okay as long as you are okay.

Often reminds his s/o to be careful, and always worries when they’re not around. He’ll give them however much space they want of course, but they’re still on his mind throughout the day.

Takes care to pick up all his tools when he knows his s/o will be around. He’s not too untidy anyway, but he doesn’t want to risk them tripping on something so he’s mindful of not leaving his toolbox on the floor. When his s/o manages to trip over anyway, he’ll often try to catch them or cushion their fall.

Jack Atlas:

“Come on, seriously? Did you trip over again? You’re so clumsy, why don’t you ever watch where you’re walking?!” - Jack Atlas, at least once a day with his s/o.

Acts like he’s got no time for his s/o’s clumsiness, but will always reach out and try to catch them and make sure they’re not hurt. Big tsundere baby Jack Atlas will never admit to finding his s/o’s clumsiness to be cute.

Never admits it, but he always gives his s/o a once over to make sure they aren’t hurt. “Where did you get that bruise?” is a common thing he asks them.

He’s actually pretty soft for his s/o, and while he does treat them with mild exasperation whenever they trip up, he never gets angry or raises his voice about it. He just wants them to take better care of themselves.

Crow Hogan:

“Hey, hey, did you trip again?! Here, let me help you up!” He’s pretty casual about it, not making too much of a fuss. He always makes sure they’re not hurt, and then once he’s established they’re fine, that’s that. It doesn’t bother him that his s/o does this at least once a day, he’s used to it now.

Another one who has experience treating minor wounds, he’ll sort his s/o’s scrapes out in no time. While he’s treating their scrapes, he has a soft look on his face. “Hey, I know you’re not doing it on purpose and all, but do you think you could at least try to take more care? I don’t want you getting hurt.”

Will also try to catch his s/o if they trip right in front of him. Sometimes they end up taking him down with them. Oops. He takes it well though, laughing with his s/o as they both pick themselves back up again.

Aki Izayoi:

“Wha- hey! Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Another one who’s always concerned about her s/o. Will run over and help pull them up, making sure they’re not hurt too badly.

She will get angry at anyone who makes fun of her s/o’s clumsiness, forcing them to apologise and making sure they never do it again. She’s a bit scary when she’s angry. She’ll also be upset with anyone who left anything out that her s/o tripped over.

Aki can be a bit overbearing at times, her s/o might feel the need to tell her that she doesn’t need to be so concerned about it and that though they may be clumsy they can still take care of themselves.

Really though, she’s just a sweetie pie that just wants her s/o to be okay. She’s not too sure how to handle having someone who accepts her as much as her s/o does, but she’s more than willing to learn. Just… please try to take a bit more care, okay? Aki worries about her s/o a lot.

Bruno:

“Oh no! Not again! A-Are you okay?!” Anxious boy Bruno is another one who’s always running around after his s/o. Please don’t hurt yourself too badly, this poor boy can’t take it.

Super fast reflexes from nowhere help him to catch his s/o even though he was nowhere near them. His s/o is as shocked as he is.

He always tidies the place up, making sure there’s nothing his s/o can trip on. When his plan fails and his s/o manages to stub their toe or bang their funny bone anyway, he’s a bit annoyed with himself for not seeing it coming.

Though he is concerned about his s/o’s safety, he can’t help but sometimes think it’s cute how his s/o is always making a mess of things and yet they never let it keep them down for long. He admires that they won’t let their own clumsiness stop them from doing whatever they want to do.
