Exploration or flight or something, he could talk for hours. He's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about stuff like that, most times because he has centuries of experience

I don't want to diagnose cc!Phil or whatever bc I know he doesn't like when people do that, but to me his rp character is free reign. And as a psych major with ADHD who's focusing on the study of neurodivergent disorders: this man is hella ADHD coded. He's told too many personal stories that are relatable to me for me to be silent about it. I'm 🤝🏻 this crow man

In his case this isn't a nd trait but instead a crow one, but he experiences echolalia sometimes. Funny things or certain noises he hears just scratch an itch in his bird brain real good, he can't help but repeat it for a while

The way to Phil's heart is good food, fun to be around, and kicking ass. If you can tick those 3 things off for yourself, you're Phil Approved

He'll say he doesn't fall for peer pressure, and often times he's right. But on rare occasions someone like Fit or Etoiles can convince him to do smth he maybe wouldn't at first. It's easier to win him over when he's drunk

cc!Phil has talked abt how he gets a weird confidence boost when he's drunk as shit. That's real for q!Phil too. He could be staggering slurring speech drunk and still snipe something like 50 blocks away. It makes Fit and Etoiles want to kiss him about it

He has intentionally made almost his entire wardrobe varying shades of green, which he pairs with black, red & gold. He thinks it's funny to have a branded wardrobe like an anime character

Idr how canon dsmp is to q!Phil but he still has the friendship emerald charm hanging from his hat. Perhaps it's from the Antarctic Empire days instead. Idk, I just like the character design of Dangly Thing On Hat Brim too much to exclude it from his design in my head (I should rlly attempt to doodle my Phil beyond the random notebook ones I've done. Maybe I'll post those if asked idk)

I wouldn't say he has a bad temper. He's very well-practiced at self-control. However, there are certain things that set him off so severely, he throws self-control out the window. Those things aren't worthy of him trying to be "the bigger person." They deserve their ass handed to them right here right now (see: The Codes pre-current lore).

In a similar vein, when the situation isn't one of those special Fuck This incidences, he still doesn't have a temper, but when he finally snaps, he SNAPS. Like on a The Polycule be like "mark me down as scared and horny" level of snap. When you get on the Angel of Death's last fucking nerve he let's you KNOW.

I'm self-projecting here: this fucking idiot man has a detrimental habit of insisting on handling stuff like anxiety alone. He hates when people see him without his composure. It's not even like an embarrassing thing, it's just very uncomfortable to him. So when a panic attack hits or he finally concedes and let's himself cry, it's alone. And sometimes that makes it worse. But even that doesn't make him change his mind. "Keep it together for the kids," right? :')

1. I kind of get freckles in the summer

2. I like tea and coffee. I like milk and sugar in both, but really only like coffee if it has loads of sugar.

3. Talking in Your Sleep from the FNAF movie

4. Not sure how I sleep. I seem to wiggle around. Once managed to very nicely unbury a blanket and correctly position it in my sleep

5. I sometimes will have stuffies on my bed

6. I prefer drawing silly little doodles

7. 1-3 blankets. Need a weighted blanket and then I'll have a quilt/blanket or two if it is cold

8. Favorite bands/artist are The Longest Johns, Uamee, and Hozier

9. My birthday is July 19th

10. I am 5 feet tall

11. My eyes are blue/green/grey-ish but I just say blue on my ID

12. My mutuals (especially June), My in-person friends, and Tom Scott

I need to share soft sign language buddies ninogami headcanon because they’re taking over my brain always:

(This got so long, so youre welcome if youre also starved for ninogami content)

Nino’s mom is Deaf , so he grew up signing as much as speaking. When he was younger he always signed as he talked.

It turned out he’s also Hard of Hearing, so sign language is way easier for him to understand most of the time.

However, though he’s great at making friends, he’s very awkward when it comes to talking about himself. So never comes up in conversation.

It’s not a self-deprication issue. It’s just a “thinking of things to say is hard and I’d rather have someone else do the talking” thing. He’d rather talk about anyone except himself.

Additionally! He’s great at helping other people, but he’s terrible at asking for help. He does not EVER want to be like “hey i cant understand what you’re saying, my ears dont work great,” its his worst nightmare

And it doesnt help that there have been a few cases of people being rude about it when he doesnt hear them after they repeat themselves. And possibly worse, there have been even more cases of people giving over-the-top apologies instead of just,, telling him what they said. So it’s not worth the trouble in his mind

with his few close friends who still dont know, it feels like its too late and it’d be awkward to bring it up, so he just… doesnt. He’s procrastinating on telling them he cant hear them

He stopped signing as much as he talked in middle school because strangers would always be like “woah thats so cool, how do you know sign language” and he’d just panic because he was an awkward tween, and he didnt know if he was comfortable telling them he was HoH, but ALSO just saying his mom was Deaf and not mentioning himself felt like directly lying by hiding information, so he just took the “lazy” way out and signed less in public.

Sometimes fighting the anxiety was not worth it so he just let it win in that case.

Nino is so nice and energetic and loves people, but he is way more introverted and anxious than his friends think.

But when they start to get closer, Kagami who is ever-observant, notices him signing a little bit, (not ever to her, not ever on purpose, but he’d sometimes sign a word he needed to remember while speaking or sign along to emphasize something)

and she luckily for his anxiety, she doesnt know how to have a normal conversation either.

Her (platonic as well as romantic) love language is studying and research, and Nino seems very cool and she likes him, even if she is awful at holding a conversation with him or doing anything to show it.

She thinks he’s so cool and such an amazing talented kind friend. She has so much love for him that she doesnt know what to do with it. So she channels that energy into learning to sign through the internet and whatever tools she can find

And then after a while of this, she’s like “oh no, he’s gonna think that’s so creepy, I cant tell him I know sign language or he’ll be so uncomfortable”

So, like a whole idiot, she hides that she’s learning sign language from anyone. Because OBVIOUSLY if word got back to Nino, he’d assume it was because of him and that she was a weirdo he shouldn’t be friends with

But also Kagami accidentally falls in love with sign language because she has undiagnosed autism. She always assumed that communicating was just going to be impossible no matter what, but as she gets proficient in sign language she’s like,,, oh,,, OH,, this is very nice

Even just signing while she talks makes it so much easier to keep words and sentances straight, but she only does it when she’s alone with her mother, who is literally blind and would never know.

They become closer friends in late high school, and by that time a lot of Nino’s anxiety has worn off and he’s become completely comfortable letting teachers know when he needs to hear somthing, and middle school feels like a distant dream

At some point, Nino invites Kagami to his house a few times, and he signs with his mom. Nino is like “I can interpret for you,” and Kagami is like “wow thanks, I’m so lucky, because I obviously do not know any sign language, why would I have learned it, and also for the record it is brand new information to me that you can sign,” and Nino is like “cool? Its not a secret but im glad i told you if you somehow didnt already know,” and Kagami is like, “yep :)”

But then eventually as they become really close, they are texting one night, (Kagami can still barely get out of her house, so they need to communicate remotely. And both of then HATE phone calls bc its so hard to understand whats happening, but neither of them have admitted this to anyone)

Nino admits that he likes using sign language better than talking, and he wishes he could use it with his friends, but he’d feel so guilty asking them to learn an entire language just to make him slightly more comfortable. He can talk and hear OKAY so he shouldnt put the pressure on them.

and Kagami is like “you could always ask, worst case scenerio they say no, and i dont think thats an unreasonable demand” and nino is like “it is though,” and kagami’s like “ok so haha funny story, please dont hate me” and nino is like, “…what.” And kagami confesses everything and nino is like “why… why would i hate you for that?” And Kagami is like “oh wait youre right im stupid,”

And then Nino’s also like “hey if YOURE more comfortable signing too, then why dont YOU ask your friends to sign for you. Do you see what i mean? It’s hard to ask-” and kagami is like, “as your friend i will prove it is not.”

So then Kagami ends up confronting Adrien and Marinette the next day and is like “Hi. This is a sign language dictionary. Learn from it.” And they’re both like “what?” And she’s like “oh wait sorry. Backing up. I’m autistic. I decided like three years ago. Forgot to tell you. And I need you to learn to sign a little bit so you can understand if i sign something at you. If you want, of course. Please :D.” And theyre like “ok sure yeah i can do that.”

(Theyve already learned and accepted that shes extremely direct in asking for things)

So then she texts nino and is like “i did it. Youre welcome.”

But anyway both of them are uncomfortable in crowds and parties: Nino cant hear anyone and Kagami tends to get sensory overload, so they start signing mostly in those situations, and then it starts to sink in that they’re allowed to sign whenever and that the other really IS also comfortable with it.

(Both of them are much more willing to make sacrifices for others than to try something new and intimidating for themself, so this is the perfect situation to trick them into getting out of their comfort zone, ironically by trying to be more comfortable in the long run)

so they will just sit together and hang out and have long conversations while just chilling somewhere in a park or at cafes or whatever. Both of them become chattier than they’ve ever been because talking and understanding is so much easier, and its addicting

And their close friends all become proficient enough in sign language to have simple conversations.

But also Nino and Kagami start sitting together automatically even in group hangouts, and they start hanging out more with just the two of them, and soon neither of them feel bad about asking to hang out in quieter places, because they can justify it knowing that it will also help the other one, and together that makes both of them also more comfortable asking for little accomodations from other friends, if only to prove to the other that they can do it too.

And Kagami has the lesser-known autism side effect where she makes WAY TOO MUCH eye contact. She’s aware of it but that doesnt make it go away. Normally she feels so awkward about it, and overthinks her gaze because she doesnt want to scare people away. But when signing, you literally HAVE to be watching the other person constantly, so she has an excuse to just be herself, and its so relieving

(and also its kind of fun to look at Nino anyway because he can get so animated and his smile is really nice and oh no she is in love a little bit)

And Nino always struggles because he emotionally ALWAYS needs to be the nice polite one. His anxiety sometimes gets the better of him and he’s constantly worried about sending the wrong signals to his friends and coming off as rude somehow. But with Kagami, he can literally just ask?? And she will tell him her honest opinion without making it weird. And its so comfy and so good and he really loves hearing her unfiltered opinions on so many things because she sees the world in such a unique way and she gets so passionate about such little things and then oh no, he is fallen for her before he can realize it

And they also learn that they’re both artists, they both love to just observe the world because even if they;re awkward, people are actually pretty great most of the time, and its fun to observe them and try to capture the world, and they just sit together and sketch, or they watch each other sketch, and the thing is, both of them draw ONLY FOR THEMSELVES, its not a ‘skill,’ and they don;t want it to be, its just private art for relaxation. Somehow, though, its okay if they share their art with each other. They can just sit in comfortable silence for hours while one of them sketches something and the other watches patiently

And they start to get more comfortable with one of their heads resting on the other’s shoulder as they watch them doodle, and sitting so close their legs press together, and soon enough their hands start brushing against each other’s as they walk next to each other and then all of a sudden they’re casually holding hands whenever they’re not signing because it’s nice

They try to share headphones so Nino can share some of his favorite songs and his compositions with Kagami. But try as she might, Kagami can not handle the sensory of only having one earbud in. Nino knows her tells by that point, and he’s not about to let her suffer for a stupid reason, but she REALLY does want to hear his music. They somehow end up with Kagami putting a pair of headphones around her neck and turning up the volume a little bit so she can hear, while Nino rests his head on her shoulder so he can hear just enough to know where she is in the song

And then he has to sit up and scootch away just enough to see her hands so they can talk about it, and they both pretend not to notice how nice it was to snuggle as they sign. Its fine, though, because now they get the excuse to just look at each other again and sign overdramatically with exaggerated facial expressions, and no one else around can overhear their conversation, and Nino likes to go a little over the top when signing onomatopoeia and acting out particular parts of the song rhythm that he likes, and Kagami laughs, and they both mentally save the image of each other in this moment the same way that they look at reference images for artwork, memorizing the lines of each movement and the things that make each smile unique,

and Nino also shows up at every single one of her fencing tournaments, and he sits as close as he can and signs encouraging messages to her from the crowd whenever she’s not actively competing, (that her blind mom can never catch, which is somewhat of a bonus to Kagami, because every element of their friendship that her mother cant interact with makes this more personal and special and HERS). Every little sign she sends back at him, even a simple thank you, always feels so good and rebellious and free because shes supposed to be focusing on fencing but shes deciding to care more about friendship. And even if she’s expected to leave immediately afterword, she’ll find every excuse possible to find him and give him a hug, which he’ll always accept even though she jokingly warns him shes sweaty and gross

And eventually they are special best friends and it brings them instant joy to see each other and theyre able to interact for no reason other than that they want to and like each other

(And then they kiss)

Hi hello I hope you're doing well and getting read to sn00ze soon, STS! Saturday! Yes! Cause you're an artist and a writer, I was wondering how much the two mediums bleed into each other? Does drawing something out help you visualise it better, or do they not really interact much at all?

hello hi hey there and happy storyteller saturday :D thank you for the question!! I hope ur having a cool day B)

and even though you sent this yesterday you telling me to sn00ze is equally applicable today as it is almost every day of the week so................ yep, I’ll be sure to get onto that at some point. you’re probably going to make a >:c face at me for answering this at 3:06am

anyway! this is an interesting question! and a good one! unfortunately it may not have a very interesting answer?

my initial response was gonna be that they don’t really bleed into each other at all, but then........ nah, they kinda do

(and then about halfway through typing this draft I was like But What About Undertow, and my response became “oh yeah they definitely do”, but I’ll get to that in a bit)

but yeah! I think my writing definitely influences my art! both in the sense that I tend to draw mostly story stuff, ‘cause I like my stories and drawing is fun, but also in terms of like....... inspiration! usually I have a pretty good image of stuff in my head already while I’m writing, n sometimes this image will make me go “hell yeah I vibe with this I wanna draw it”, but the art itself generally turns out nothing like what I envision and usually takes a life of its own ‘cause I’ll just end up drawing whatever looks cool hahahaha

so I get some neat experiments and doodles and weirdness in various art pieces that definitely stemmed from story daydreams, but probably aren’t super related to the story itself in the end :P y’all don’t see much of this stuff ‘cause I mostly just post character drawings lmao

(this is bc I’m most confident with character drawings, and I will fistfight Drawing Backgrounds And Scenes in a wendy’s parking lot any day of the week)

but kinda hopping back up for a sec, one example that IS related to the story is like

drawings I’ve done that are centred in ATDAO’s unreality aren’t actually a super good representation of what the unreality is actually like? or I mean. they could be. they can be! but the drawings are centred around very literal concrete representations of glitchy weirdness

whereas in the story itself (at least to start with) there’s much more a focus on the general looming Hey Something Is Horribly Wrong vibes and, like, the unravelling and bleeding together of senses, the way the narration changes (ie the way your own thought processes slowly start becoming completely foreign to you), n just........ glitchy weirdness, but not glitchy weirdness that you can visually represent, glitchy weirdness that is canonically in the category “you can experience this and have no way to process it because a human mind is not equipped to translate it and your senses have no way of taking it in”

n then I bring the body horror in full force but that’s neither here nor there

existential terror and uncanny valley vibes r hard to draw, y’know? so the drawings mostly just wind up as me having fun with the aesthetic hahaha

but yeah, art stuff stems from story daydreams, it’s very rare that story stuff will stem from art daydreams

character drawings were something I started doing just ‘cause I liked my characters and I was vibin, but they ended up being the one exception in that they DO tend to actively inspire the decisions I make in the story itself, unlike my other art

written descriptions of people are a weak point for me, generally I’ll kinda know at least the key aspects of what folks look like, but the descriptions I come up with on page are always frustratingly vague............. n drawing them out helps me fill in the blanks and give my descriptions a bit more life and personality IMO, ‘cause I mean

there’s little things about people’s appearances that are pretty personal, little quirks or habits they have, etc, that I wouldn’t think of in writing, whereas in art they just crop up naturally

and also sometimes I’ll write a description of a character or have an image of them in my head and I’ll be like Yeah This Is Them but then when I draw them my hands will just make their own decisions

and whatever the hands create is Law and Official Canon as far as I’m concerned, I will always trust the hands over my initial plans when it comes to characters, and they have not failed me so far

and now that I’ve gone on a whole spiel about how (outside of helping me pin down character details) creating art isn’t generally something that inspires a lot of story development or daydreams, it’s time for me to completely contradict that because, like I said earlier: Undertow

this is a WIP that came into existence purely from art inspiration! basically I came up with Aster’s design on the fly because someone was like “it’s genderqueer pride day” and I was like Oh Sick Time To Make A New Genderqueer OC

most of the characters in Undertow were drawn and designed long before I had any clue who they were or what their deal was. the entire premise of Aster as a character was born within like two hours from one silly doodle. then I was like “BUT WHAT IF SHE HAD FRIENDS” so I drew some friends, who ended up being Kit and Meg. n their relationships with each other and the kind of story in which they find themselves all just kind of spiralled out from a series of silly doodles and took on a life of their own :P

I think it’s a different scenario since Undertow exists purely as a vessel for shenanigans and self-indulgent nonsense, so I was feeling a lot less pressure to be grounded and serious, I could just throw things around like “amnesiac clairvoyant delivery driver with an illegal magic crime truck” and “necromancer who doesn’t believe in magic who wants to reanimate a t-rex to honour his dead wife” to see what stuck and I had no need to be like “hm, but is that Realistic, though?”

unrestrained summer fun!

it’s easier for me to let myself daydream in relation to art when there’s none of this pressure, which I think is what separates Undertow from my other projects c:

plus Undertow is the one WIP of mine that I’ve always pictured in a kind of episodic comic format, though I lack the skill set or the patience to pull this off hahaha

as such, most of my development for it comes in the form of messing around with the artistic side of things!! as it should be, I think

You and MJ would have that type of best friend love and if you guys have to be serious, you do it in the funniest way you possibly can- bottom line, you just wanna have fun together. First thing I think of when it comes to you and MJ is that MJ loves to prank you. MJ is a huge jokester, right? He would know how to push all your buttons, and he would also know how to frustrate you enough, and he’ll pick at you too because he’s a little shit. However, you can equally get back at him. Getting payback on MJ isn’t hard, you can easily get him back by scaring him- we all know he’s a scardy cat. Then sometimes, pranks go wrong. I can see you two being very clumsy when you’re together. You both are so into the moment that a lot of the time you lose your balance or you trip over your foot, and the prank is failed because you blew your cover, or one of you accidently tripped and unintentionally ruined the prank. Although the prank was failed, you to are still there laughing your cute little butts off, because you’re such goofs, and literally ANYTHING can make you laugh- failure or success. Moving right along, I thought of this and it made my heart sing. Because you two are so goofy and happy together, your goofiness can rub people the wrong way and they’ll have a negative connotation of you and MJ. And don't you ever worry for a second about people judging you bc boyfriend super hero MJ is gonna come in and shut those haters down and make your heart go uwu. He let’s people know you can be in love and be goofy together. Love is in the eye of the beholder, right? So it’s no one’s business to judge, and MJ will let people know that, and it’s so sweet. A cute little inside joke I can see you and MJ having is height, idk why, but I think it’s sweet. I also can see MJ liking to draw little caricatures of you when you’re not looking- he just likes to doodle. Date nights are always a last minute thing. You both like the surprise of last minute date nights and date nights are always determined by how you feel. PDA and skinship is everything to you and MJ. I seriously believe that both your and MJ’s love language is touch so here we go. Imma talk about his signature moves btw. MJ would LOVE to come up to you from behind and give you back hugs. Lucas is a little shit head, so be prepared for teasing and smart ass Lucas. Of course, he’s not being a complete asshole, that is never his intentions, it’s just playful banter. If anything, Lucas likes to pick at your quirks, such as if you take too long in the bathroom or a specific way you cook your food in the microwave. I want to say this- a big part of your relationship is surrounded by food. We all know that Lucas is a big boy- so needs a lot of fuel to food is always in sight and smell. Something that I think would be super cute if you were to surprise Lucas with food. You’d cook for Lucas so much, cooking out become a second love language. Let’s put cooking on hold for a little bit and let’s talk about why Lucas would be whipped for you. Lucas would be that type of boyfriend that would bend over backwards for you and he would do anything he could to make you happy. I think it would be super cute if Lucas would call you two a team. You and Lucas would be extremely loyal to each other, as a team should be. You and Lucas would always be there for each other, and you two are there for each other when it counts. You’re the shoulder to cry on, your the sunshine on a rainy day, you two have each other and you’re not a team without each other. I also think it would be super cute if Lucas would admire your height. At first, he would think that he would prefer having a shorter girl, to like do cute short things with, but in fact, he was the complete opposite. You would fit perfectly in Lucas’ arms, but he could still look down at you so Mr. Wong is happy. Date night is always about food. This is a continuation about food in your relationship btw. The most difficult parts of your relationship is finding out where to get food for date night. You two would have so many options when it came to restaurants, let alone the next decision as to whether or not you two would order in or actually go out. Normally, you and Lucas would settle the decisions by rock, paper, scissors- which you would win by the way. Lucas would always pout bc he hates to lose lol. PDA wise, Lucas holding you in his arms is one of his favorite things ever. SF9: Jaeyoon

Glow. The first thing I think of with you and Jaeyoon is glow. You two have such bright and shiny personalities, you’re always shining with big ol’ smiles on your faces. I also believe that you two would compliment each other nicely whether it be emotionally or aesthetically. Again, you’re getting another jokester, so you both joke a lot. One big joke that would surround you two would be his butt. As we know, Jaeyoon loves his butt, so you can easily make jokes and poke fun at him. You always take opportunities to be like “ damn, that ass” and smack it. But, Jae would get you back, so like, do not underestimate him. He would easily walk back by you and smack it with a grin on his face like, “damn, that payback.” Moving right along, I believe that Jaeyoon would be that type of boyfriend that would gush about his partner. Jae would be smart about talking about you, he wouldn’t want to get obsessive and annoy anyone, but he always takes the opportunity to talk about you- because he loves you so much. And like, there will be times where Jae will get this little smile on his face and he’ll become the best boyfriend of the year. Wanna know how he becomes the best boyfriend ever? He’ll keep you in his head all day. Then when he’s on his way home, he’ll stop by a little shop, get you some flowers, your favorite food/snack, and he’ll come home to you. Jaeyoon is easily one of the most thoughtful people you’ll ever meet. He’ll always have his mind on you. He’s the type of guy that sends good morning/night texts, and he loves to video call you anytime he gets caught up in work or you’re busy with something and you’re out of town. And Jaeyoon would never admit it, but he loves pillow talk. He loves laying in the dark with your hands together, your back up against his and talking about your day. Talking about your relationship. He loves it so much. You two also have that type of relationship where you two simply enjoy the company of each other. You don’t need big fancy outings or carefully planned date nights to enjoy each others company- you two have each other. This leads me into PDA. So you and Jaeyoon would have casual PDA, but it always packs a punch. The way you two kiss each other easily becomes second nature and sometimes Jae’s kisses leave butterflies in your tummy every time. Jae would also get into these little spirts where he loves having a hold of you. And when I mean having a hold of you, he’ll hold your hand out of habit, or he’ll hold your arm and rub the pad of his thumb on your forearm.

Seventeen: Seungcheol

Okay so, Seungcheol is a whole king and you would be his queen. I can see Coups taking one look at you the first time he’d meet you and he’d want to know more about you. He would have a great amount of interest in your energetic personality, I think that would lure him in the most. I also feel like Coups would like your sense of humor and he’d easily pick up on your quirks. Overall, I think Coups would fall for you very easy, and once he really feel comfortable with you, he’d be in love with you. One characteristic that I like to take in account with Coups would be with protective- and golly gee would he be protective over you. Coups would always tell you that you had a special aura around you- it’s nothing but good vibes and positivity. Coups would never want that light to go out, so like, he will go off on a hoe to keep you happy and defend your honor, you never have to worry about that. Coups would also lean on you for emotional support. Coups is a strong guy, we know he can handle a lot of pressure and emotions, but he’s a human, he has to let out his emotions sometimes. The strongest guys can be the most sensitive, so Coups would always come to you and you’d always offer a shoulder to lean on, or you’d provide humor when he needs it most. Also, Coups would also like be in love spending time with you. Any time that you would come and visit him at work or you’d be home alone together, Coups would have this loving look in his eyes, and he would never want to take his eyes off of you. Coups would also LOVE naps with you. He secretly loves being snuggled during naps, but he just loves naps. Okay, Coups is such a cheesy guy, so like, you’re gonna have couples outfits. They’re grown up couples outfits though, not like the cheesy cheesy neon hoodies like you’d find at the beach, but full out outfits that coordinate with each other. He also loves to post your outfits on Instagram. Then the captions to those pictures are always about you. Whether it’s something silly you’ve said or him saying I love you, they’re always about you. Coups would be the king of date night. Cooking is always a must and baking the dessert is your couples specialty. Cooking the dessert is always messy bc you two are just so clumsy, but the end result is always amazing. Lastly, PDA wise, Coups is also a king at PDA. He would hold you in anyway he can. When Coups would hold you, he’d hold you tightly, but tenderly and he’d always love to tell you how much he loves you. <3

PART TWO: BACKGROUND

millie was born into a wealthy family, but the first thing people noticed about the tully clan was their deep love for each other. she was doted upon, as was her older sister, ruby. her dad was a retired one-hit-wonder, her mother the daughter of one of the biggest businessmen in america. she was raised with both the fun-loving, hippy nature of her dad & the fondness of fashion & luxury from her mother.

it wasn’t until she was ten years old that her whole world came crashing down. ( TRIGGER WARNING ) her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and within a year lost her battle. it took a huge toll on her family - her older sister, once the queen bee around town, turned into a recluse & cut everybody off. her dad lost his smile, and so did millie. taking in her sister’s footsteps she cut everybody off for a while, hid in the shadows, & just GRIEVED for everything she lost.

eventually she picked herself up & threw herself into her studies & friendships , looking after her friends more than she did herself. it was a lot of pressure & she cracked a LOT in private. she started doing things she never would have previously just to feel something , which eventually lead to her secret that i won’t be revealing just yet :~)

nowadays she’s a lot happier though she’s still trying to find herself again. she’s been writing from a young age , her blog is pretty popular & now she’s working on her own novel !!!

(Also, my examples used are for if you wanna start a BTS askblog, but it’s the same general concept if you wanna do something for another fandom) also sorry if this turns into something really long bc I tend to drabble a lot

Picking a member

Are you going to draw only 1 person? Or OT7? Or maybe a particular line? Or a particular ship? Some members/pairings are more popular than others (which can impact your target audience, but I feel like most BTS fans will love whoever you choose lol) This is usually the first step because everything else I’m about to mention starts from choosing your muse!

Ships!

Are you going to ship your muse at all? If so, do you have a main ship? Or are you like my indecisive butt and are open to any ship? (I’m multishipping bc I’m a lazy potato)

Is there an AU you wanna do? What are the other members’ roles in your AU? Creating a backstory for your AU is important because it give a lot of room for character development. Don’t be like me and have a rly vague AU where you don’t even know what’s going on. (Legit idk what I’m doing with my Begin!AU, literally just going with the flow LOL)

Either that or you can change it up! For me personally, I have several AUs that I like to doodle for! (I also have a non!AU for general questions as well!) So it’s really up to you on how you wanna approach things. ;o

Choosing a URL

Idk if this is worth noting, but I feel like choosing a url can impact how memorable you are? For me at least, it’s easier remembering a short url than a long one – it’s also easier to search for (ex. ask-jungshook is a lot easier to remember than ask-the-shook-maknae-jungshook – feel me?) Unfortunately a lot of urls might already be taken, so you gotta be creative

Interactions

I think one of the things that I was guilty of when I ran other askblogs was not interacting enough with my followers and other askblogs (I’m still guilty of the latter because I have like no time ahhhh one of these days I’ll spam you guys with questions, but that’s gonna be after the Newark concert lmfao) But yeah! I highly suggest talking to other askblogs & messaging them! We’re a pretty friendly community and most of us will probably yell about our love for BTS at you so don’t be intimidated or scared to approach us LOL Also it never hurts to ask other blogs if they wanna collab :) Also interact with your followers as well! Like originally, I was really hesitant to like post a bunch of admin spam/memes, because I hate the clutter and messiness of spam lol, but it’s one way to interact with your followers! (Like they get to know more stuff about you and that can lead to a conversation!)

Art

To be frank, I think this is probably what most people are looking for when they’re following an askblog. It’s more or less based off of 1) how you approach questions and 2) your art style. (Or at least from what I’ve seen)

You have to decide are you gonna stick to one picture answers? Or are you gonna do a comic? Are you gonna answer in colored pictures? Or in sketches? Are you going for a more serious approach to questions? Or are you going for a more comedic route? Honestly there’s a lot of options for you to do, I’d suggest doing whatever is most comfortable to you though ;o Tumblr users in general seem to be really picky when it comes to aesthetics in terms of like reblogging stuff, but play around with it and you’ll get a general sense of what people like! :)

Motivation

This probably should have been one of the earlier things listed, but you also gotta understand ask yourself why you wanna create an askblog. It it just for fun? Or are you doing it to improve your art? Or do you just wanna try something different? There are a lot of reasons why people choose to open an askblog, I’d advise when you create one to make a goal as well! And when I say goals, it’s more like “I want to have fun doing this” or “I want to meet more people who like BTS” and not “I want X amount of followers by ____” and “I wanna draw x amount of pictures by ____”.

Like for me, the main reason I started this blog was to experiment with my many styles and draw more people (so BTS fit the bill pretty nicely lol) It also kinda forces me to fill my quota for my new year resolution of cging something every month so there’s that too haha :) I also wanted to make new friends along the way so that was one of my smaller goals lol

That being said, it’s really easy to put pressure on yourself by running an askblog simply because it can be time consuming and you might feel pressured to answer in a certain way (that and there are a lot of us) – just don’t lose sight of your original goals and don’t lose track of what’s important! Art should be something that makes you happy- not about how many followers you have!

Be Patient

Slow and steady is always the motto! None of us started off with a bajillion of asks and followers overnight– so please don’t get discouraged if you see that you’re not growing as fast as other blogs might be. It’s because we all work at different speeds and have different concepts (which cater to different audiences), so I really do stress that you work at your own speed and what’s comfortable for you! But most importantly do whatever makes you happy :)

Also if you ever want me to promo something for you – send me an ask! (Probably the easiest way of getting my attention aside from messaging since I tend to miss a lot of intro posts lol)

Have Fun & Be Healthy!

At the end of the day, we’re all doing this for fun. So don’t worry about how many notes or followers you get. I wrote this previously on my huge wall of text about artists mentality way back when : your art should be for you. Don’t draw for the sake of followers or for the sake of notes because if that’s the case, you’re putting your happiness in other people’s hands and that can lead to a very toxic mental situation if you’re basing your happiness off of popularity over yourself. Instead draw for yourself & draw what makes you happy! Don’t be pressured to draw things you don’t want to – after all this isn’t your job. You’re not getting paid to do it. Take breaks if you feel overwhelmed (or avoid responsibility like I am and do admin asks instead of drawing lmfao) and take care of your well being. And as selfish at it sounds, always put yourself (well or at least your mental health) first! :)

Do you remember anything about it?oh jeez haha i was gonna say bats, and although that was a little more alienating, pokemon actually was my SI before themluckily pokemon made me friends, bats didn’t as much. only gifts i wanted for christmas had to do with pokemon. i remember the one year i was like ‘all i want for christmas is a pokedex’ and my mom lied and said santa got it to me ahead of everyone, but it was a well-intentioned lie. you inputted the pokemon’s number manually and it gave you little facts. i was super into pokemon before i could even read, kindergarten. i can remember my dad reading the episode where all the pokemon are stuck on the island together to me (which was one of my favourite episodes). he hated it. i remember relatives used to tease me when i was 6-7 by saying something like they ‘saw a pikachu’ outside and id run out. relatives still tease me about how obsessed i was w pokemon as a baby, and i cant deny, i was. actually i really only have five memories or so of my grandpa (he died when i was 8), and one of them most vividly is showing him my pokemon collection and telling him all their different names.there was a kid i visited once a year and played pokemon with back in 2000 when my uncle thought he’d try to start a ski lodge or some shit and every year we’d exchange one pokemon toy.when i was… 8? my arm went through my family’s front window. literally painless, if you’ve ever doubted what going into shock feels like. anyway i remember clearly when the ambulance showed up that my last request to my panicking mother was to ‘grab my gengar and lickitung’ (two pokemon small plushie toys id gotten from a canadian tire that i was super attached to and used to ‘fake train’ by throwing around the backyard and giving speeches to)i bought those little silly straws w pokemon attached and id rip the pokemon off them to ‘free them’.i dont talk about it a lot, but i was actually Quite An Obsessed Little Pokemon Fan haha.anyway i was into bats for awhile after that, i read the book silverwing in… what must have been grade two or three? because i vividly remember drawing a bat for my ‘science book’ cover page in gr.3 based directly off its cover. i used to go around parroting bat facts in a little ‘bat fact notebook’ i made that was a little notebook id gotten from halloween with an orange cover and little black bat on the front. gr 3 kid: ‘hey whats ur name’me in gr3: ‘hey did u know they attached bombs to bats in ww2′anyway i remember once a parent on a school trip tried to correct me spouting my bat facts by condescendingly telling me ‘bats lay -eggs-’ and i got so furious w them until the teacher had to awkwardly admit they were wrong(TBC bc im sorry, im rambling)

Twiddle - What was your first stim?i can’t remember? i’ve always been very active apparently, like i ran and bounced around a lot as a kid. i didn’t really encounter the idea of stimming until high school, and i don’t really remember what i did beforehand? i used to doodle a lot before i had fidgets and things, so probably that.
