i know this conversation was already had yesterday but thinking about it, i just dont know what else dteam couldve possibly done in that situation. george apologizes to caiti but floats the idea that her friends influenced her(hes probably right) and twitter freaks out, dream talks about non-verbal consent, a real thing that very much applied here, and twitter freaks out. anyone who pointed out inconsistencies was called a victim blamer and ccs themselves did this. if george tried to point out that caitis story didnt line up in certain parts he wouldve been fucking mauled by twitter. like yeah maybe if he did that it wouldve been worse at first but gotten better eventually but idk i feel like unless someone else spoke up in defense of him ccs and twitter alike wouldve hounded him until he quit.

and i do hate ccs who succumb to twitter pressure but this was a really tough situation and i dont know how they couldve gotten out in a better position than they are now. i feel like they did the best they could even if it wasnt perfect and some parts did make the situation a little worse. george apologizing for what he actually did while reaffirming that he hadnt done it maliciously was the right move imo. also it just shows that hes a kind person at heart because he did understand that even if caiti wasnt truthful she was hurt by him regardless of his intentions or others influence.

idk anyways i hate every single cc who jumped in to attack george for clout or to makes themselves seem like a good person and they made the situation a million times worse. if none of them had opened their mouths i really think things couldve gone differently.

like okay i watched flux (i watched every whittaker episode) but rest assured i have no memory of what it was about or what happened in it

"Why would Elira, Vox and Ike agree to that stream?" because of their contracts, their livelyhoods depend on nijiEN and it's clear that despite everything, there were some good times. not agreeing to it could mean that they get terminated (depending on what their contracts say)

"How could nijisanji think that stream was a good idea?" because they're a company and they chose the three well-liked people of the community, who also were stated in the document that wasn't meant to be seen by anyone else than the lawyers.

Vox, Ike, Elira, the other nijiEN livers weren't meant to see that document, legally they shouldn't have but now they know which will undoubtedly create a rift between Doki and the remaining nijiEN livers--which will benefit nijisanji in the court if the other livers now refuse to side with Doki in court

the fans were already divided, even after Doki herself said that she wants to move on and not to harass or bully the livers, the haters/antis didn't want to stop since this gave them 'a reason' to harass the livers they already hated. and now with nijiEN sharing parts of the document, fans are even more up and arms about this.

i'm not saying that nijisaji is this mastermind/manipulator company, but they're a company nontheless whose main priority is to win this legal battle. and a black company is always willing to sacrifice its employees

when he pulls him out of the gulag, so many of soap’s new behaviours click into place. things that never made sense to him as a natural progression of who soap was, that aren't just a product of walling himself off and turning his heart to stone

his soap never smoked. always complained when ghost lit up about the damage it did to the lungs, how it would slow him down in the long run

that's why seeing him suck on a cigar like it's second nature is so jarring. even more so when he'd only take a few puffs; enough for a taste and to make smoke coil through the air around him. always the same brand, always left to burn down in his fingers

then ghost sees him gift his cigar box to price, something that took pride of place on his desk practically before the man clears medical and seeing the way they both relax as he sets a match to one makes him realise

in an effort to run away from soap, john had tried to mould himself into price

god forbid ghost ever reads soap's journal. he's heard the "what the hell kind of name is soap” story from him, of the first time he'd ever met the captain and if he ever saw his words echoed in john's hand? saw just how far the man had wormed his way, so deep into him that he was speaking with his tongue?

price's monologues, making himself larger than life all in an effort to make this shitstorm feel more grand than just another war they're all trying to live through, acting like he’s being profound when he’s really just dodging anyone that questions him

letting price take roach out from under his wing like soap didn't identify with the kid the second he saw him, all of his self-deprecative habits hitting tenfold as he blames himself for every stray bullet; as if price could've plucked them from the very sky

the way soap steps back without a word of protest to let price command the team he handpicked and price just accepting? like his years of leadership mean nothing, like john means nothing after trying so hard to follow in his footsteps, just to be tossed aside

the rage ghost would feel at his indifference, as if soap’s behaviour is to be expected and not a series of red flags. add the nuke mission and his actions during and after shepherd’s betrayal? ghost would despise him

Yeah we've already talked about how outright stupid the lore n writing for modern Doom is, but tbh I can understand why they had to do something with Doomguy, why they had to make him The Specialest Boy instead of Just Some Guy. Do I like how they did it? No, I would've taken it a different direction. Do I think that hugo could've done it well even if he took it in the direction I would've? No, I have minimal faith in his story writing. But realistically, how many times can a guy singlehandedly accomplish the impossible before you have to acknowledge he's very much not Just Some Guy who happened to be at the right place at the right time? I think that, with how every single other person on the Phobos UAC base were killed in Doom I, doomguy stopped being Just Some Guy the moment he decided to do anything other than just lie down and die.

I want to know how all might reacts to reincarnated afo!aizawa

Like I think All Might would understand that Aizawa doesn't remember his villainous past, and has essentially been reborn, but the fact that afo somehow managed to get away with it (in a matter of speaking at least) must be like one of those forbidden itches from another dimension: forever vexing him

So All Might doesnt find out about this until Aizawa goes to him himself a few months after the worst of it, which is important because the reaction is defintely something that would vary based on when and how he learned it.

As it is, Aizawa goes to Might Tower and is like "Hey, I'm a UA student, Nedzu emailed All Might and said why he needed to see me, if he hasn't checked it tell him its about All For One." and is quickly sent up to talk. All Might is confused about the why- this kid is like, sixteen, AfO could have been dead before he was born.

But then Aizawa sighs, and says "I was born on the day you killed All For One," which means he knows way more information than he should, and All Might listens even when the kid immediately seems to go off topic by explaining that he's always wanted to be a hero, even though erasure is a weak quirk, and he knew he wouldn't be able to be a hero like All Might. Then he gets to the Garvey fight, and very quietly says that when he tried to erase the villain, he stole one of his quirks instead. All Might looks at the boy's palms, and sees.

But he doesn't quite see the truth yet.

"You're All For One's son." He breathes.

Shouta shakes his head. "No. Worse. I was born the day you killed him, right? Well, the hospital I was born at, there was a doctor that worked for AfO. Tried to save his life. Couldn't. So AfO ordered him to grab a baby, and transfered his quirk... to me." All Might relaxes, because that is tragic, but easier to deal with- "And then, I guess, they lost me? Not sure, but um, after Gravey, i went to the hospital and the Doctor kept messing with me. He was giving me more of All For One's quirks... and his memories. And i- it was so stupid, I went in there alone, and now... it's all there. in me."

All Might is no longer relaxed. He stares at the kid. Miserable, Aizawa holds out a hand, and a spike shoots out from it. One All Might remembers going into his chest, and he flinches.

Aizawa puts his hand down.

"I can't figure it out."

"Can't figure what out?" All Might asks.

"I can't figure out if I'm more me or more him now. I mean, I feel like I'm in charge. But he's been alive a lot longer, even if so much of those memories a blur. And, logically, even if he isn't in my head, his memories have to affect me. I mean, i knew going alone was stupid, but all those memories of his power, his pride, i ignored it and went anyway. I can't figure out what it means to know all of this now, who I am or what I should do."

All Might nods. He feels such pity for the boy, such grief he didn't prevent this. caused it, even, really. "And you came to me?"

"Yeah. You're the person alive who's known All For One the longest, except Gran Torino and I didn't know how to find him." The teen shrugs. "You'd be the one to know if he's... you know, if i'm him. You'd be the one to stop him."

All Might stares at him, not moving, not speaking. Aizawa beings to twitch despite himself.

"You trusted me to fix this." He finally says. "Yeah, there's no way in hell All For One's in charge of your brain then. You're safe, kid. You might have the memories, but i take it you hate the guy in them?"

"More than anything. You're sure? It makes sense that i could be influenced-"

"Young Aizawa. You're safe. I am sure. And if that changes, i'll make sure to help you. I am here."

Aizawa goes nearly boneless on the couch. "Thanks."

"No problem. I'm guessing you'd feel better if you were doing something about it, though?"

"Huh?"

"You're a hero. You feel better when you're doing something."

"Yeah. What do you have in mind?"

"Let's see if any of your new old memories can help us weed out anyone else who could be planning something like the Doctor was, and then come up with some plans to use all those quirks in you now for good."

Aizawa smiles for the first time in weeks. It is a terrifying smile, but it is absolutely nothing like All For One's too-calculated smirk. All Might smiles back.

#see the thing is. aizawa does have lot of the memories unlocked after the doc is done with them #not as bad as it couldve been and afo is super not in charge #(since he got afo-quirk as a baby his body kinda overwrote the vestige in the same way the original stockpile vestige got overwrote by ofa) #(and there wasn't enough time to even start transplanting another afo vestige in to take over) #but it is a lot. and aizawa is both a depressed teenager and someone who tries to cope with logic #and what is the difference really between having memories because you did it or because they were planted? #so he's not having a great time #(note: he did not got to garaki alone because of afo influence or anything like that. that was just dumb teen moment and not wanting anyone #else hurt again) #but yeah All Might is going to be very uneasy for a time #not because of shouta specificlly (tho pleeeenttty of guilty feelings there) #but also because it *could* be done. so how does he know there isn't another person it's happening to and afo will really take them over an #be back? #he doesn't #like shouta he'll feel better over actually doing stuff about it #meanwhile shouta is. look he's gunning to dump a lot of those quirks asap he does not do great with ghosts in his head #but they'll figure things out thatll help both of them. have a weird dynamic. closer but also kind bitter. not 'bitter towards each other' #but 'bitter together' ig #anon #pocket talks to people

I do recommend other's to check out the game tho!! atleast if you don't mind the game messing with ur desktop and opening up stuff lol. i think that kinda thing is neat

I've been inching my way though the UK game show TASKMASTER and wondering how well a COMPLETELY live twitch show could work (excluding prerecorded tasks of course!).

Twitch streamers are already fiercely competitive, used to embarrassment, and have little human dignity left so I think they would be prime candidates to be subjected to tasks!! You could probably bring in youtubers and tiktokers in there too I guess

Think about it! A five night special event live on twitch! With a live audience and twitch audience participation! Sure it would probably be bad and clunky and realistically I'll probably despise some of the contestants but I think it could be fun!!

But would I rather see Jerma985 as the taskmaster or a contestant is the question....

its kinda crazy to think about, but i think the anime version of the darkest day arc was the most faithful adaptation to the original game arc? which is crazy because otherwise jn is allergic to doing anything with galar.

#like…. in a way i cant decide if i like the game or the anime version more here #bc the snappier pace and split roles in the anime do wonders for the story- if a little rushed. like the protags get to do things #before the climax #and its nice to see ash and goh do a raid together like this and the evolutions are both done well #but like……… man. this was a hop and swsh protag plot for sure. like theyre the ones w personal connection to leon #and theyre the ones who live by the heroes’ shrine #and its a great cap to hop’s arc throughout the game where he gets to save his brother for once #makes me think about how dirty hop got done in this show #by comparison ash and goh arent as intertwined with galars history and setting. which… again couldve been solved if galar was the hub #but whateverrr #and ik i just praised the faster pacing in the anime but the slowburn in the games also kinda helps more with buildup #also raihan gets done better in the game and sonia gets to do more and- #ok yeah now that i type it out the game version is definitely better idk what im talking about fjfjfjfjjf but the anime’s adaptation is fine #echoed voice #jn lb

there’s genuinely no way that any team of writers, no matter how talented they were, would have been able to take the bum deal the owl house got and turn that final season into anything other than, at best, an anti-climax. there’s absolutely no way it wouldn’t have been rushed. i can only commend dana and the team for giving it their all, and trying their best with the constraints they were given. but the only thing that final episode can do is make me angry: not at the team, but at disney for handicapping one of their best shows for no reason, and leaving it like this. obviously rushed, so many ideas that should have had room to expand but no time, not much for the rest of the cast to do during the episode proper. with how cut short s3 became, it almost makes the prospect of rewatching the series later difficult knowing that it’ll hit a brick wall and just kind of end. i watched a rerun of the disney xd broadcast and it immediately cut before the credits so i only just now saw the extra stuff which im at the very least glad we got (older luz, some answers, more of luz and amity together, hunter and willow confirmed) but....ugh. dana terrace you will always be famous, you and the crew didn’t deserve this

You know for all the praise this show gets for it's sapphic subtext it's actually really bad when it comes to gay characters? You can read Alicent as straight, Rhaenyra's bisexuality doesn't get explored in a meaningful way, Laena gets basically erased from the narrative, they cut out a scene confirming Daemon's bisexuality and even then the intention of that scene is questionable to me, Joffrey was barely a character gets killed off, Qarl barely a character gets shipped off, Laenor barely a character gets shipped off....it's not good. I'm really really hoping their track record improves in future seasons.

Yeah me too. I'm really hoping they do something with stated gay characters like jeyne arryn and sabitha frey for s2.
