Da kämpft man sich ne halbe Stunde über die ergste gravel road und wird mit einem traumhaften Ausblick am Strand belohnt, aber ist umzingelt von Sanflies 😱 Deswegen konnten wir hier leider nicht übernachten 😢

Den kurzen Spaziergang konnten wir trotzdem genießen 😊👣

This afternoon I went for a walk, sometimes it’s so nice to be just by yourself, surrounded by nature in divine tranquility. This walk takes about 1 1/2 hr, goes up pretty steep and declines gradually which I was enjoying till I saw a goat sitting close to the track. I said hello and it just sat there 🧐 so I wondered what was going on, maybe in labour or maybe injured? I saw myself already carrying the goat back home, which was about another 20 min at least and that goat was at least a 20 kg ?..I was calculating 😩Could I first of all catch it but than carry it home too, ..all the way? Hmmmmm I kept staring at it than talked to it and it suddenly stood up! Or what is this? Flick through to see what happens, I would ❤️love to know what your thoughts are on this 🐐!? Xmas in Waiheke Island

Waiheke Island se trouvant seulement à 35 minutes de trajet en ferry d'Auckland, est l'un des bijoux du Golfe de Hauraki. Pour ce qui est des paysages, du mode de vie et de l'expérience, Waiheke est vraiment different du reste de la Nouvelle-Zélande. L'île est remplis d'endroits où déguster les produits frais du pourtour du Pacifique. L'île posséder également plus d'une douzaine de vignobles haut de gamme où l'on peut dégustez les vins locaux tout en admirant les vallées couvertes de vignes avec la mer en arrière-plan. Les plages de sable blanc d'Oneroa, Palm Beach et Onetangi descendent doucement jusqu'au Golfe de Hauraki avec un paysage idillique, parfaite pour un bain de soleil. Nous avons séjourné dans un magnifique Airbnb où la vue à coupé le souffle donne sur les colines de Waiheke avec la mer en arrière-plan. De surcroit notre hôte nous a merveilleusement bien accueilli durant la période de Noël, ce qui nous a permis de nous sentir comme chez nous. - Waiheke Island, at only a 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland is a haven of beautiful vineyards, olive groves and beaches. In landscape, lifestyle and experience, Waiheke is a world away from the rest of New Zealand. There are plenty of places to enjoy a good coffee or a taste of New Zealand's fresh Pacific Rim cuisine. The island also boasts more than a dozen high-quality vineyards, whereyou can enjoy local wine while looking out over vine-covered valleys to the blue sea beyond. The white sandy beaches at Oneroa, Palm Beach and Onetangi slope gently down into the Hauraki Gulf with an idyllic landscape, perfect for sunbathing. We stayed in a beautiful Airbnb where the breathtaking view overlooks the Waiheke Hills and the sea. In addition, our host warmly welcomed us during our Christmas stay, which made us feel at home.
