In the centre of the cave which is the Heart, the one (non-dual) Brahman alone shines directly in the form of Self as ‘I-I’ (or ‘I am I’ ). Enter the Heart (by the mind) sinking scrutinizing Self, or by the mind sinking along with the breath, and be one who abides in Self.

Note: One day in 1915 a devotee named Jagadiswara Sastri started to compose a Sanskrit verse beginning with the words. ‘Hridaya-Kuhara-Madhye’, (In the centre of the Heart cave), but finding that he was unable to proceed any further to express in verse form the idea which he had in mind, he implored Sri Bhagavan to complete the verse for him. Sri Bhagavan accordingly completed the verse and wrote underneath ‘Jagadisan’, thereby indicating that the ideas in the verse were those of Jagadiswara Sastri and not His own. Some years later, at the request of some Tamil devotees who did not know Sanskrit, Sri Bhagavan translated this verse into Tamil, and the Tamil version, which is given above, was later added in the Anubandham.

for her part, I think Elsinanwe probably just spends a lot of time Not thinking about how Tisibet has a century or so of life; I think Tizzy is approx 20-25 when they first meet. Elsinanwe is pretty old herself, probably hitting the edges of three hundred or more, definitely in the elder senior period of her life, and I imagine it works out that they might reasonably expect to spend the rest of their lives together and not die too far apart (if Elsa does not eat her first). Honestly though, Elsa regularly forgets about Tisibet's human needs and traits - this awareness of her mortality is probably another one of those. She is continually baffled about why Tisibet needs to eat and sleep more than she does, and how on earth she's so short and her ears barely move.

As for Sindor, I think he never really thought about it, with Julia. Again, Julia, like Tisibet, is quite young from his perspective, but she is an established adult and surrounded by her own people in an active war zone, I imagine the questions of her lifespan probably didn't come up too much for him; they were all just trying to survive til tomorrow. I doubt he even knows her numerical age. With Brais, he worries about it though. Brais is very conscious they'll die before Calana is much older than a young adult, exactly at the point where she is most vulnerable to the manipulations of the rich and powerful, and Vira has outright said to Brais she can happily just wait until Brais dies to take and indoctrinate Calana into the Thalmor, if she so pleases. Sindor is very conscious that he doesn't have much time before he has to stand alone against his mother to protect his child without the stout bulwark of Brais by his side to support him. I imagine they've spoken about it often, and Brais reassures him to trust not only in himself but in Calana. She has a mind of her own - she will choose the right path, if they teach her the correct values now.

Jogja Pernah Punya Diskotik

Colombo Disco

Era 1970-an hingga menjelang 1990-an, di Yogyakarta banyak bermunculan kelab malam atau yang waktu itu diwujudkan sebagai diskotik. Angkringan? Di Yogya belum sebanyak ini. Yang ada paling tenongan yang jualanya disunggi.

Diskotik ini antara lain ada di Jalan Magelang, di Jalan Mayor Suryotomo (pemiliknya seorang bangsawan), terus di sisi selatan Bioskop Indra, terus di lantai bawah/basement sebuah hotel di Malioboro dan di Jalan Solo.

Di saat yang hampir bersamaa, muncul pula tempat-tempat nongkrong (kalau sekarang mungkin kafe) seperti di Kridosono, di Jalan Pasar Kembang, di Jalan Beji (sisi selatan mepet jembatan) dan sebagainya.

Namun diantara “para disko” ini yang paling banyak dikunjungi adalah Colombo Disco.

Tempatnya di dekat Kolam Renang Colombo. (Ngendi meneh kuiw).

Tempat ini kemudian menjadi deretan satu kompleks sebuah hotel yang awal berdirinya dahulu Bernama Radisson Hotel. Lokasinya di Kompleks Colombo.

Pengunjungnya, rata-rata --- saat itu sebutannya adalah kaum the have atau orang berpunya. Penampilannya? Calana panjang, bagian bawah komprang (ada yang menyebut cutbray ada pula yang menyebut bray-bray), sepatu hak tinggi, baju lengan panjang agak longgar, bagian ujung bawah kancing diikatkan, kancing atas dibuka (dibledhehke) hingga 2-3 kancing. Aksesorinya, ada yang pakai kalung ada yang tidak, pakai gelang akar bahar atau rantai (bisa emas bisa alpaca), Jalannya gruyah-gruyuh karena sepatu.

Rokok, merek kondang jaman itu dan ada pula yang pakai rokok putih (apa ya istilah sekarang untuk rokok putih).

Lagu-lagu yang diputar lewat piringan hitam pun berirama disko, semisal Rasputin, Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, Billi Jean, Funky Town dan sebagainya.

Rata-rata diskotik buka jam 10 malam sampai pagi menjelang subuh.

Motor yang dibawa? Ada CB ada Yamaha Yashi, ada Yamaha RD, ada Suzuki GT, ada Suzuki GP, ada pula beberapa mobil, tapi tak jarang pula yang memakai jasa becak. Ojek? Taksi? belum ada.

Pelan-pelan diskotik itu menghilang dan kemudian kini muncullah kafe-kafe. Tahun 2000an, Sekda DIY Bambang Susetyo Prabowohadi memperkirakan saat itu perputaran uang diberbagai kafe di Yogyakarta itu sudah mencapai ratusan juta rupiah per bulan. Namun, pemajakannya saat itu belum bisa ditangkap oleh Pemda.
