what i find interesting is all of those classic rock musicians who basically already have legendery status are much more supportive of Louis than those nowadays' indie musicians: I'm talking about that Gallagher situation or Green Day adding OOMS to the playlist and even tho I know it's not curated by Arctic Monkeys themselves but both Louis' singles appear on their spotify radio And then there is Sam Fender and Catfish and the bottleman

But the most interesting part is all of those legendary musicians had something real punk to them: Gallaghers against the americanisation of the world, Green Day rocked with American Idiot and Arctic Monkeys doing anything against the music industry rules while doing anti capitalism thing

What do Sam or that little indie band have? Sam is this kind of a person to say 'fuck the rich' but what does he do to fuck them except for getting cash back for his social/political lyrics because I've never seen him using his platform properly (and I say that as a fan of his music), same goes for Catfish and the bottleman

But you know what really punk is? The oldest exmember of a boysband finding his identity after writing some of the best delling pop music, getting organic growth, having sold out tour and a guiness record to his name despite all the blacklisting and disrespect from both mainstream and 'indie' media

And.

Getting back to his roots. Supporting his home town. Encouraging his fans to support the most vulnerable people and hungry children. Condemning greed and excess. Giving to charity himself. Setting a world record for livestream sales and donating all the proceeds. Showing his displeasure with the British class system and the institution of monarchy— not once, but over and over.

Punk is sharing a tour bus with all the band members, traveling together with them for seven months, highlighting them in his concerts, partying with them afterward, taking them on outings, paying for first class hotels and private planes.

Punk is including your make up artist, your photographer, your stylist, and your security guards like they’re your family. Going to events that are milestones for them, like their weddings, as a friend of the family and not a celebrity. Punk is hyping up other musicians that are breaking into music, not asking other famous celebs to plug your music. Punk is sharing tattoos with your crew to make a memory. Punk is getting into the barricade to let fans know that you are human, you are on their level.

Punk is street fashion, the avant-garde, the graffiti inspos, the fashion intellectuals, celebrating international talent, the homage to punk history.

Punk is understanding that principles matter even if you become the establishment, that chasing money and fame should always, in some way, feel uncomfortable.

Louis Tomlinson fans got up close and personal with the One Direction star as he performed in New York this weekend – resulting in his actual clothes being torn to shreds.

As the Kill My Mind hitmaker, 31, took to the stage at Forest Hills Stadium with his Faith in the Future tour, understandably, energy was high.

Louis delighted the thousands-strong crowd with hits from his first and second albums, as well as some 1D tunes and even a Catfish And The Bottleman cover.

During hit song Silver Tongues, the award-winning star takes a moment to jump off stage and head right up to the barricade, basking in the screams and cheers from the audience.

Louis has said previously it’s his favourite moment of every gig, as he truly gets to feel the love from his fans – and his fans in the Big Apple did not hold back.

They got so excited by being that close to their idol, their instant reaction was to, erm, rip his shirt…

Yep, Louis’s black tank top was torn apart, forcing him to perform the rest of the show shirtless after chucking the remains of his top into the pit.

We wonder if that’s up on eBay yet…

Videos of the moment have, of course, been shared thousands of times, as concertgoers captured the moment Louis got absolutely mauled.

Reacting to the raucous point in the show, one fan tweeted: ‘I swear I am not jealous’.

‘Whoever caught the shirt, I hope you held on to it tight cuz there be a lot of feral fans wanting that lol. good luck getting out of there’, another said.

Although, not everyone was so thrilled about the behaviour from fans, as some Twitter users described it as ’embarrassing’ and ‘animalistic’.

Following the show, Louis remained in high spirits, taking to social media to thank his fans as the US leg of his tour draws to a close.

‘Can’t believe it’s the last show of this leg tomorrow. This tour has flown by!’, he began.

‘Tonight was incredible again. Don’t want this tour to end!!!’

Now, this wasn’t the first time fans went wild with questionable behaviour at one of Louis’s shows.

Recently, someone lobbed a bracelet at him while he performed, with Louis joining the club of singers who’ve been hit by flying objects.

Seemingly unimpressed, Louis flipped the middle finger at the culprit, although he carried on with the show in his typical cheeky manner.

The likes of Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, and Kelsea Ballerini have all had scary ordeals on stage so far this year, whether it’s getting hit by a phone to the eye or being slapped by an intruder.

Guys it’s obvious why Van is taking so long 🙄. He’s learning to play all by himself! We’ve just seen a tiny pic of Conversation in which he’s holding a bass so we could guess he’s been learning since 2019. All that there’s left is improve his guitar skills and do the face melting solos (which would be a hard work since he hate them) and learn drums (I think it would be easy bc that man can’t run out of energy) also we’ve seen him shaking his legs and doing the little stomps on thousands of interviews which could be a sign that he’s been learning long time ago even. The record part is easy and for concerts he deffo would use a pedal board like Ed Sheeran and record the snippets of the songs with each instrument. So we have the one man band (Vand?) or Catfish and the Bottleman

tbh I think Van massively exaggerated the whole Australia thing 😂 I don't think he was a baby. If you look up Catfish the Bottleman he didn't start gigging or get his name until 2000, so Van would have had to be at least 7/8 years old, if not older. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a holiday and Van turned it into some big story for the interviews, he's not always been the most reliable storyteller 😂😂😂

Oh really? This is so funny as he always used to tell tall tales in his interviews! I think maybe he got a little bored with being asked the same questions over and over so he decided to have a bit of fun and spice it up a bit by making stuff up 😂 He even said he was actually born in Australia in one interview!
