The scars on her face are from a fight with Emos (however, unlike their 1st encounter, she was prepared & got him back just as well)

They had a good relationship with Ahlf; they felt sorry for him after learning he decided to live alone instead of with his family (his death hit them hard leaving them feeling both guilty & angry 😥)

She's a pescatarian (preferring to avoid non-seafood-based meat) 🐟

Despite starting out as "begrudged allies", Felize bonded with Irus during their travels & became good friends

Her eyes may at first appear to be pitch-black, but in the right lighting, their deep warm brown can easily be seen

After the destruction of Salt Bay, Felize decided to keep a little pouch filled with a sand/dirt/rock mixture on their belt (just in case 🙂)

Her preferred combat style is "combo" (favouring neither offence/defence)

Felize enjoys teasing Oren, but only when others aren't around/are unaware (they don't want to make it/him a spectacle)

She cherishes the new connections with her maternal family (especially Zikar), & will continue fighting to protect them

At 1st Felize was shocked/elated when seeing their mother was alive & well; those feeling quickly soured into betrayal/resentment though when Anu let it slip that Salyra had a "new" family (though they refuse to take that out on Rana since she's just a child) ... besides obviously feeling hurt, Felize doesn't know how to deal with it all (especially the fact that to their knowledge mama NEVER told anyone she WASN'T dead) 😔

After talking with Danzor & Rana, Felize decided that having a relationship with Rana was ALL that she wanted from this new "family" (especially after Danzor vehemently rebuffed her EVERY time she expressed negative emotions towards Salyra 😒)

In their letter to Zikar they decided to inform the family of Salyra's life in Ishari (her mother & brother deserve to know that she'd abandoned them too) 💔

When their divine blessing awoke they resisted it & lost consciousness

When does Noblesse Oblige take place chronologically in relation to Crème de la Crème and Royal Affairs? I've been assuming in-between the two, since that's when it was released, but I'm not certain.

It is indeed between the two - Noblesse Oblige is two years after Creme de la Creme, and Royal Affairs is two years after that.

Hey sorry to bother, but in Crown of Exile could be possible to speed up the nightmare scene in Chapter 2? Like I understand what you are trying to do but having to wait for the slow text to appear actually took me out fo the story. Maybe a choice to toggle between different speeds?

The game is designed for PC so if you're playing on PC, you simply need to hit space bar and it will speed up 😊

SORRY I TOOK AGES GETTING TO THIS i wanted to answer it on my pc for typing reasons. umm i know i havent really talked about any of them but since i went on a dive into looking into my neph lore yesterday ill tell you about her!!! (link is art of her lolz)

so baseline info about the mc server i was going to do with irls because thats where she started; we were all making silly characters to play over i think it was summer break just because we could. basic thing is a lot of things would happen to our character, then something very major, then the next day they would wake up in the mc world. so everyone was from a different universe basically. i think each lineup was like... two were aliens/alien-esk but each from different little worlds <- not super sure, one was more from a modern world, one was from a pjo universe, then neph was from a old time-y royal thang. (100% chose that because i had techno;s crown on my skin and wanted an excuse to keep it also because i was very into royal aus when i made her)

OK so basically her story is like. any royal au you'd ever read inthe world. she grew up with her parents heavily disinterested in her, leaving her teachers to deal with her bc they were like who care we just need you to wear the crown one day and rule so we can chill forever. acted decently the same with her brother who is like 4 years younger than her or something. who cares this is not about him !!

her story is a lot of just being ignored and being both understanding and vaguely spiteful over it whatever, she deals, does her school yada yada. one day she ends up getting pissed off after her birthday is ignored once again so he goes to the royal guard and is like hiii! train me :3 and her being prince he was like. yeah ok ? sure. whatever. uerrmm she trains, shes like awesome really, she gets better than the guard over the time its cool its whatever shes just cool like that. Whhile she's training she meets one of the guards, also in training, her name was evelyn . You already know they fall in love 🔥 but its secret they cant really tell about it because of a lot of reasons ehhh whatever. years pass its pretty cool they also get caught a few times but dont Amen. changes on neph's 21st birthday though, her fuckass dad catches them kissing, drags both of them to the court in front of the queen and is like GUESSS WAHT.!

the king and queen order for evelyn to be beheaded. and she is, in that moment, and neph has to watch it. neph is ordered to be exiled but shes like you literally just killed the love of my life <- does some cool quick thang and yanks a sword from a guards hand and starts demolishing the court room. she doesnt get away unscathed obviously, shes a little fucked up and bloody but she does not care she keeps going 🔥anyways she kills her mum and dad, steals her dads crown, then dips. and then yay wow she wakes up in the mc world !!!!!

theres some other things in-between there, and even more about her after the whole dropping into the mc world but ehhh... u get her baseline lore thats ok. i willll say she does fall in love again and is so sick and twisted over it ❤️Sorry neph

[RECAP] Obsidian Crown: Chapter One

This time, our story begins in the sweltering heat of the Obsidian Empire, in a restless city on the precipice of change, and in the palace of Duke Manuelo de Terceira, where one woman has begun to dream…

The session opens on Amárita (PC, she/her), a young oracle who has recently been plagued with prophetic dreams foretelling war. This dream however, is different; even as she sees the same bloody battlefield she’s dreamed hundreds of times before, this time Amárita is approached by what she can only assume is an angel, who’s taken the guise of Amárita herself. The angel tells her, without speaking aloud, “And this too, will come to pass.” And then Amárita wakes up in her room in the Terceira palace, alone, shivering and covered in sweat. An angel has spoken to her, and promised that war will come. This does Not Bode Well.

Meanwhile, the rest of our party is introduced as everyone heads to breakfast:

Fiore de Valeri (PC, they/them) is the child of Duke Calandros Valeri, who’s been sent to Forlante to hangout and make nice with House Terceira.

Argyle (PC, he/him) is a guard in the service of House Terceira. It also seems that he’s closer to the noble family than is immediately obvious, as he’s received an invitation to join the duke and his court for their breakfast gathering.

Diamantina “Dia” Rentagno (PC, she/her) is an assistant to the duke’s court painter, Alexandre.

Victoria Escarrà Cervantes (PC, she/her) is Sancha Maria’s fencing instructor.

Sofonías Absolon de Reyzende (PC, he/him) is the duke’s cousin and the chancellor of Forlante, in charge of overseeing many of the administrative duties of running the duchy.

The party all comes together at the duke’s breakfast gathering, where conversation continues, and the duke wishes his court a farewell. We’re also introduced to a few of House Terceira’s courtiers and resident NPCs:

Alexandre (NPC, he/him) - the incredibly talented court painter, with a rather unfortunate personality.

Henric Varnhame (NPC, they/he) - an Arysian historian and philosopher, taken in by Duke Manuelo after they had to flee to Terazin.

After breakfast, the household prepares to see Duke Manuelo and his entourage off to the docks, where they’re departing. Argylle asks Duke Manuelo why he was invited to breakfast with the rest of the family/household, and Duke Manuelo explains that he wants Argylle to feel like a member of the family. It seems that Argylle is the illegitimate son of the Duke’s younger brother, Vicente, who died nearly two decades ago.

As the Terceira household waves Duke Manuelo and his entourage goodbye at the docks (including Camelo and Sofonías), the new regent, Sancha Maria de Terceira, is approached by Cosima de Mendoza (NPC, she/her): an extremely wealthy commoner who owns the largest bank in the world, but whose family has historically not been on great terms with House Terceira due to being exiled by the former Duchess, Sabina de Terceira (Manuelo’s mom). Cosima merely wishes Sancha Maria good luck in ruling the duchy in her father’s absence, though the shawl she’s wearing is a carefully embroidered depiction of the assassination of a Terceira ancestor, the conspiracy which would spark the revolt that established the Forlante Republic, which House Mendoza was instrumental in creating (and the reason for their exile).

Cosima turns to leave, but asks to speak with Fiore, as their two families know each other. Fiore politely declines, and the party can only watch as Cosima departs. There is a bad feeling in the air, a sense of foreboding for the future, but there’s nothing left to do but watch as the sails unfurl on Duke Manuelo’s ship and it heads out of the harbor…

As a long-time member of the IF community, thank you for giving us a love triangle which isn't genderlocked. Call me messy but I adore LT and I've probably played the one for TWC a hundred times. Other than that, whenever I see even a mention of a LT, it's always between two men or masculine characters and the PC

"Oh you want a love triangle? Have two men willing to fight over you. What about the women? Don't worry about them, they are too 'mature' to be getting into these kind of feuds." What is that even supposed to mean? Give me feminine folks who are pining over me, give me my daily sapphic dose without the male love interests being the only ones who simultaneously fall for the PC. Why do so many authors always flesh out male characters to make them interesting and appealing and the female characters are written on candy wrappers?

Hearing about Celia and Zoya was such a breath of fresh air because when you mentioned the love triangle, I was sure that it will be a random tall, dark and handsome guy. Not only did you give us two incredibly interesting characters, you also made the twins separate out with particular aspects of their own. I know we're going to break her heart in this book but Zoya has my lesbian heart going giddy and I'm ready to give her all the love in the spinoff

akhfksjfjs okay ouch, do you hate men that much? 😭 alright, jokes aside, this is a lot to unpack. but i gotta say that i actually agree with you, dear bonnie. i don't particularly have a problem when love triangles only involve male LIs but those are the characters that often get very popular in the fandom tho. thankfully, that wasn't the case with TCS since célia is surprisingly popular, probably second to tachibana, and i'm so grateful for that.

majority of the fandom is made up of straight or queer women with a preference for men so it's no surprise that male love interests are actually very popular. it's not something that the author can be blamed for tbh, it just be like that sometimes. however, i do get that it gets really boring and bland when the primary focus is only on men and their character development while female characters get paid with toilet paper from aliexpress.

i'm so happy that zoya is bringing you so much joy 😭 the reception to her and zion's character unveiling as been great and i really did not expect people to simp for the senarath twins so much when they aren't even two of the ROs in this book. while the love triangle arc is more like a one-sided affair on their part, i'm glad to contribute to your messy side because honestly, i love the drama too 😌

31.  Tell me about your current party! - Love this question. I will have to break it down. There are only three of us entirely so our DM had to play a DM-PC to give us a group of three. Unfortunately, she has to play a second one because we adopted an NPC into our group. So, now we have two DM-PCs that we play in combat for her cuz it gets pretty intense. 

Eridonis: I play a Moon Elf Archfey Warlock 16/Bard 1. He’s a prince from an Elven city called Silverwinds. He’s my good good rude boi currently trying to start what one may call a cult to get people to worship his patron. Most of his spells are very field changing instead of damage dealing. He’s got his Eldritch Blast + 7th level spell Crown of Stars to fuck people up with.

Nell: A Mountain Dwarf Swashbuckler Rogue 15/Ranger 2. She is a Strength based Rogue and is such a badass. Close to the beginning of our campaign we killed a wyvern attacking a cart they were supposed to protect. We didn’t know there were wyvern eggs hidden away which we took ourselves. She is the proud Mom of now full grown wyverns named Rough and Tumble. She is also the proud Mom a dire wolf puppy that she can talk to because she has a Ring of Animal Influence which she can use to talk to her. 

Usnavi: A Sylvorc (Half-Orc/Half-Elf) Oath of Devotion Paladin 17. He’s a sweet sun child and a Paladin of Pelor. For a lot of the campaign he had no idea that Pelor gave him his powers. He’s not the brighest bulb, but he certainly tries. He’s all heart and no brains, but we love him.

Grim: A Drow Raven Queen Warlock 14. We met him at level 7 or so and he had his eyes gouged out and tongue cut out. He had a raven that he could use to see and used Minor Illusion to “speak.” Unfortunately, my DM forgot that Eridonis could use the Message cantrip to speak back and forth with him. As time went on and got some money our Rogue spent a lot of gold to get a Cleric to regenerate his eyes and tongues. Fun fact, since only they could talk back and forth before Grim got the Message cantrip as well that’s how they fell in love. 

32.  Most memorable NPC you've encountered in a game you played in. - Savina! A beautiful “Human” Draconic Sorceress that hired us to help start the entire plot. She was the right hand for the king who exiled her as well as us. Much farther down the campaign she was not a Human Draconic Sorceress. She indeed was a Sorceress, but ain’t no human. Bitch was an Ancient Black Dragon. 

At the end of the first main arc the bad guys took over the capital and left the king to rot. We found him, saved him from dying, and he was horrible to them. They knocked him out and planned on leaving him in the courtyard for the people to decide on what to do with him. Only our Rogue saw Eridonis cast Chill Touch on him and kill him (there was a reason) and Eridonis made sure Savina knew about it to purposely leave the throne open for her to take.

34.  Favorite accent to do for characters? - A really shitty southern twang accent. I also love to do an older Jewish woman from New York as well, but that’s what I like to do in my personal life.

Indigo, Phillipa, Rosemary/Lark (it's been so long and I still haven't decided on her name lmao) and Keahi (who is also getting an overhaul real soon!!) are all of my PCs for Dragon Age: Origins! Indigo, Keahi, and Phillipa all end up romancing Alistair bc I just love him too much dbebnskw but both Indigo and Phillipa are more on the cavalier side while Keahi is much more reserved. I also have a worldstate where Keahi romances Leliana! Pippa and Keahi are both bi/pan, while Indigo is ace and Lark is straight. Lark has a very traumatic past lmao but she ends up romancing Zevran I think! I haven't played very much as her yet so nothing is set in stone lol

Laurna is my main DA2 pc! She's super chill (although she has ✨self confidence issues✨ about her body and magic) and loves baking. In my actual playthrough, she ended up in a love SQUARE with Fenris, Anders and Merrill ofjdsk. When she lived in lothing she had a hufe crush on Leliana. Throughout DA2 she's well known for her magenta hair snasdkgf

Hades is my player character for the Mass Effect Trilogy! She's pretty stoic and depressed and she ends up romancing Kaidan!! She's pretty reliable and midway through ME:2-3 she shaves her head lol. She's demi :)

Arabella and Guppy are two of my Dungeons and Dragons characters! I've never once played lmao but I am scheduled to DM a game for some of my friends in a few days so that's fun :) Arabella is a half orc, half-elf cleric who lives with her mom and her mom's side of the family (who are wood elves). Guppy is a triton warlock who used to be a literal fish before being turned into a humanoid by her warlock patron.

Aster, Filigree, Arden, Faye, and Nasrin are all player characters from various interactive fiction games! Namely Body Count, The Exile, and A Tale of Crowns! Aster is actually a lot like Laudna from Critical Role campaign 3! She's very nice and witty, and is always down to make a new friend, despite her sometimes terrifying appearance. Filigree is a very curt, no-nonsense type of person is has issues about guilt lol. She's pretty slow to trust, and lmao she has the slowest slow burn with Vethna (a romancable NPC lol). Arden is my main PC in Body Count, and is lowkey kind of a self insert lmao. She has a Lot of anxiety, and is romancing Charlie (hopefully). Faye was my "everyone else" romance for Body Count, but I ended up sticking with Arthur! Nasrin is the PC I've played the least of (I keep meaning to get back into a Tale of Crowns and then forgetting ugh), but in my head she's your traditional Cinderella type!! In my mind, shes very pretty and a little nervous about suddenly being thrust into a position of power. Nasrin's eyes in game are described as gold, and I mistakenly interpreted that to mean her whole eye (sclera included), but I decided to keep it anyway because it was cool lol.
