Spider-Man by John Romita, Jr., with Inks by John Romita, Sr., and Colors by Jose Villarrubia.

This was published as a Marvel Limited print, and I believe it was used as a poster. It has been published in multiple books as well. Johnny was interviewed by Tom Scioli and Ed Piskor for their cartoonist kayfabe youtube channel, and he mentioned that of all the work he's done over the years, this is the one that he will never sell. It is hanging in his office, next to his drawing desk.

My father died.

For him the second world war and being war-refugee is over and he was so lonely after my mother died two and half years ago. So if anyone has wondered why I have been more off and inconsistent here, that is why.

Tell the important people in your life how much they mean, love and be the best version of you you can be.

I will resume comics, art and half-naked beauties posting at my pace as dying is easy only for the dead.

Me and my Son, yesterday at my father's funeral.

I know. We look exactly like someone really drunk and stoned had been asked to cast Reservoir Dogs remake, a movie whose trailer was all they ever saw but misremembered parts of Big Lebowski, Breaking Bad snd LotR.

People do mourning in various ways.

I decided to go out with my Son and some of his mates. Met t a few friends at the bar too. Saw three live gigs, two out of three bands were good, Dome Runner and Throat. Did not care about one inbetween so not going to mention it.

I needed laughter, music, drinks. What some call love. ( A word Finnish people do not use lightly. Some are scared to admit the existence of the emotion)

Faint buzz of alcohol and loud music. To me that helps to heal.

Hard times did not go away, they are just easter to cope with.

Today I went to see two gigs. The first one was ok too but second gig was better than I hoped. Stonerish Black Sabbath riffs mixed with punky attitude. The band has fairly new singer for past couple of months since their singer quit moving to another end of Finland.

Yes the new singer is my Son.

Play it loud, hard, heavy snd fast.

Life is weird.

While it has been a hard few days... No, longer but, these few have been rough. I know the difference between depression and sorrow. This is sorrow, the first deceptive kind.

But I have not only ways to deal with it, but I have good people around me. Actual dear friends, who check on me ( no, while I am a fan of Robert E Howard I am not suicidal type.) Have talked with the usual suspects and today with my Ireland based friend.

And besides friends and having a dark sense of humor I also have my Son and Her. Yesterday She came because of" I don't want you to be alone when you go to see your father the last time"

I am a textbook toxic masculinity case. To the extent that should a venomous snake bite me, it is more likely the snake would die. But She was right.

And today my Son and me talked and mourned in our way. Empathy, bad jokes and harah metal music. Not everyones choice but for me having carpool karaoke of Mokoma song" Kuollut, Kuolleempi, Kuollein" (= Dead, Deader, Most Dead ) with my Son helps.
