Phantom's hazmat suit doesn't look anything like the one Danny wore before the accident.

Many high-level hazmat suits are made from rubber - which doesn't make sense if Danny died from the electrical shock in the portal. BUT, it turns out that while rubber is a great insulator for electricity, like most things, it's only effective to a certain point. You can still get hit by lightning while wearing rubber. Danny got hit with enough energy to tear a hole between dimensions - which would be way more than his suit could handle, hence why he died. Plus the Fenton's didn't have proper access to ectoplasm until after the accident so they wouldn't have been able to make a suit better suited to withstand any kind of energy from the Zone.

Now, I like to imagine Danny's zap to have been more like a lightning strike than a regular little electrical shock. Lightening produces enough energy that it can even heat the air surrounding it and people who've been hit by it can suffer severe burns - internally and externally.

Rubber shrinks when exposed to heat. I have personally never liked the whole concept of Danny's suit looking the exact same before and after, just with the colours reversed. Like, it's not far-fetched to assume that the Fenton's made their own suits, including Danny's. It would mean that Phantom looks the exact same as their son in his hazmat suit, just with a different colour scheme - which is way too on the nose for me.

So, I propose that the Fenton's hazmat suits look more or less like regular ones, just colour coded and a bit more tailored to their wearer - so not as baggy and a bit more fashionable.

But Phantom's suit is skin tight - shrunken and fused to his skin after the immense heat endured at his death. It doesn't look like the Fenton's design and it doesn't look like your first idea of a hazmat suit.

Phantom's suit is tight enough to be mistaken as his skin - until you get up close and can make out a perplexing hexagonal pattern that's unique to the Fenton design

The soles of Danny's shoes melted from the heat and now Phantom leaves no footprints in his wake.

Phantom's skin has an almost pearlescent glow - not nearly as bright as the other ghosts. Lichtenberg scars are caused by bursting blood vessels and the glow that seeps from beneath his skin is almost enough to conceal the spidery scars that creep along the left side of his face, over his lips and the bridge of his nose, disappearing into his hairline and beneath the collar of his suit.

His suit is the colour of charred soot and ash - a stark contrast to his pristine accessories and colourless hair. When he flies in the dead of night, high above the streets of Amity, he almost looks like a shooting star.

Bnha x dp Headcanons:

Danny absolutely loves to spend time with Tokoyami because he just gets his dead jokes and dark humour (and reminds him of Sam who he misses)

When he takes the entrance exam he's overwhelmed with the need to protect everyone even though he's 80% sure UA wouldn't actually put them in any real danger. His obsession doesn't understand that though.

Midoriya has a field day learning about his 'quirk' and when he's finally revealed to be half dead he has a million questions about ghosts and the zone, Danny really enjoys talking about it because his parents don't listen and he is a scientist too damn it.

He bonds with Todoroki almost immediately because he knows what it's like to hate his power (ghostly wail) and he knows what it's like to not want to end up like someone. He ends up also bonding over some trauma about their home life later on.

He helps Uraraka with the nausea she gets because he's been there.

Eri reminds him of Dani and it caused him to have a breakdown when he was alone, he begged Clockwork to let him go home to see her.

During the first part of the sports festival he could have just created a portal or telported to the finish but he wanted to watch everyone so he flew over them and finished 4th.

Bakugou absolutely hates Danny because there's just something off about him that only HE is seeing apparently, he can feel him holding back in every fight and Bakugou can't help but get pissed off at that. When Danny's halfa status is revealed he loses most animosity he has towards him. (Because ofc Danny was holding back he's op as fuck)

Aizawa hates that his quirk doesn't get rid of any of Danny's and he hates how Danny is the type of hero to sacrifice himself to save the people he's saving (he has his hands full with Midoriya) when it comes up Danny had actually died he feels his blood run cold and Oboro flashes in his head.

When Danny started joking and doing quips in fights he gets mixed reactions but because he does them everyone enjoys watching. (Bakugou took that as a sign he wasn't trying hard enough)

Danny has chronic pain in his arm that touched the portal and has a glowing green lichtenberg figure that runs up to his shoulder. Sometimes he can still feel the electricity and it can send him into a panic attack.

^Kaminari makes an effort to never touch Danny after he found out about that, which makes Danny feel horrible because he knows how touchy the blonde is.

He sometimes just goes to Koda and sits with him in silence because his senses are getting overwhelmed and he has animals he can pet.

When Sato or Bakugou cooked for him the first time he made an off hand remark about how he's glad it didn't come to life and it made everyone freeze.

Mirio is in awe of how Danny can keep his senses and clothes when he's intangible and it made Danny realise how lucky he was. When he made Mirio intangible by touching him it made his day and then multiple people asked him if they can try it.

^He also gets asked if he can make them fly and invisible so they can experience it too.

Danny can make Hagakure visible because double invisibility evens out (idk just think it'll be fun), they tired it because Midoriya was curious of what would happen and it made Hagakure cry.

That man is touch STARVED- please for the love of god, someone give him a hug

He growls behind his words- especially when he’s angry (like Megatron from Michael Bays’ Transformers) It adds to how inhuman he is

That mf purrs and you know it

His ears are emotive and sensitive, give them a good rub and he melts

He sings when he thinks he’s alone and I’m talkin he sounds like David Draiman singing The Sound of Silence (you can’t tell me he wouldn’t have a beautiful singing voice with that baritone)

His forked tongue is long, thick and rough- more like a lizard than a snake

DP AU/HC where Danny just kind of loses interest in space the moment he sees the Ghost Zone

Like the GZ is this giant, endless expanse of portals and infinite realms. There’s so much potential to explore, and it’s all at Danny’s fingertips. All he needs to do is pick a direction and fly. 

It’s also not as empty and lonely as space (at least not in its entirety). There’s life (ironically), ecosystems, people. Entire worlds to visit and learn about, and people there with stories to tell.

I just really like the idea of Danny as a kid being enamored with exploring space-- but then learning there is a place filled with even more wonders, and it’s a place he feels he belongs. Especially once Danny becomes king, and the Ghost Zone becomes not just something to explore and discover, but a responsibility that he takes with pride.

I think it makes for an ironic sort of reversal. Interest in the cold blackness of space before his death-- and interest in a realm teeming with spirits, a “life” of its own, after his death.

Muon

In which the Ghost Portal wasn't just made to be a gateway between realms, but also a biologically engineered ghost trapper made from artificial ectoplasm. Meaning the portal was alive at some point till Danny happened. The Portal still works, of course, it's just that no one knows what happened to the trapper. Wonder where it could be 🤔.

Oh Klahona

A story about one of Vlads master plans going a bit too far causing the permanent destruction of Dannys timeline, forcing said ghost to travel to another universe where he was never meant to be. This however is easier said than done obviously bc this boy isn't allowed to get a break, especially from me. Stuck thousands of years into the past of the Ghost Zone, Danny is frozen in time. Cursed to forever grieve his old family and remain conscious all throughout his punishment. The small Ghost eventually accepts his fate, becoming a legend told by the undead through whispers on how he came to be. Until a certain girl finds his resting place.

Ft Halfa Jazz, title inspired by Oh Klahona by Jack Stauber. More specific this line "Tears falling down at the party, saddest little baby in the room, fears, tell me fears, don't get me started, I get a little gray hair for every scare you share."

Winter Birds

Sister fic to Oh Klahona where Maddie, Vlad, and Jack get hit together while they're in college. Maddie and Jack are of course together while Vlad is a close friend. Brain Cookies decide it's high time they start a family together after years of protecting Amity from ghosts, however because of their half-dead status they're unable to conceive children of their own. Of course, this doesn't stop them from looking for a way, and with some research, and help from the Fruitloop, they discover the Ghost Zone adoption system. Things don't go to plan however when they find two children that look suspiciously like them frozen in time. (Description and finer details still a WIP)

HC/AU where Danny wasn't wearing his hazmat suit when he died during the accident.

His parents' experiments had always had a fifty-fifty chance of whether they worked or not, and this one was just destined to fail. He'd been frustrated and embarrassed when he'd given into Sam's cajoling. He'd been careless and petty when he'd forgone his safety gear.

Now his suit still hangs there in the storage cupboard in the lab, three feet away from the portal that Danny died in.

A ghost's appearance is often a culmination of many things; the lives they lived and the deaths they endured. Their hopes, regrets, burdens and hardships. Those last agonising moments and all those who'd been involved. Oftentimes, ghosts will look somewhat like they did in life. But most ghosts don't remember who they were or how they died.

But Danny remembers who he was and how he died.

He remembers the feeling of his blood vessels bursting and his bone marrow bubbling and his heart struggling to beat.

He remembers every footstep that echoed on the metal floor and the stench of his own burning flesh.

He remembers the feeling of electricity burning his muscles and collapsing his lungs.

He remembers the way something had been drawn tight inside him. Strained and stretched - loosening and unwinding - so close to snapping.

The feeling of burning. The searing pain, bright and hot, every nerve lit up and scorching.

He remembers being consumed from the inside out.

It happened between the span of a single moment and a never-ending eternity.

But then it was cold.

A fleeting moment of relief - the feeling branded into his core.

So cold that for a moment he felt numb, all the way from his charred fingers tips to his blackened toes and melted sneakers.

It had been cold.

So, so cold - like frostbite - like needles piercing his skin and scoring his nerves. So cold he was burning all over again.

God, how he'd wished he'd worn his suit.

Dp x bnha headcanons part 2! Or just weirdly specific things I see happening, idk just my thoughts on stuff.

Tsuyu gets super sleepy around Danny because of his ice powers and almost always struggles with being directly next to him, unlike Todoroki he doesn't have a warm side she can stick to.

Iida almost breaks down when Danny refused to listen to his rules by clicking on his aids (suppression for his sensitive hearing) Bakugou on the other hand finds it hilarious and takes to turning his own aids off when he no longer wants to listen.

Sato invites Danny to his weekly “sugar time” to teach him how to bake as a favour, Danny is surprisingly good at it and eventually him and Sato work together to include ectoplasm into their baking (without it coming to life) so Danny could top up his energy.

^^Bakugou refuses to let Danny near him when he cooks because of that very reason, he'd seen what his ectoplasm can do to food, he does still cook for him on occasion because he's never seen anyone savour his food the way Danny does! It most definitely goes to his head. Danny savours the food because 1. His parents can't cook to save their life. 2. Bakugous food is so much better than any type of take out and 3. He never knows when his next proper meal will be back home and is taking full advantage.

Danny goes to Hatsume for help with making a Fenton thermos (just in case) and she falls in love with the blueprints because what in the world was that layout, it's a mess that she finds thrilling to decipher it. Actually talking to Danny she realizes that no its not a mess he just has ADHD and can't write it down in a way anyone but him understood. (Danny is a genius and you can't convince me otherwise, he just has untreated ADHD 😭)

When Toga drinks Danny's blood her body has trouble with picking what form she changes into and they merge together, eyes changing and flashing in between green and blue and her hair being a mix of black and white. Her face almost looks exactly like Danny but something is off, his eyes are a little too big, his ears are a mix of pointed and normal and his skin has blotches of tan skin and deathly pale. She is fascinated with his green blood though and really wants to taste it, when she finally does get to it burns her tongue and throat and leaves her craving more. (If she separated the ectoplasm from the blood, which is virtually impossible, she'd be able to use the blood for Fenton and ectoplasm for Phantom. Because its the same DNA her quirk registers it as one person when mixed together and that's what causes them to blend)

Stain on the other hand would hate the taste and then finds out his quirk doesn't actually work on him properly, it makes his body heavy and very hard to move but it doesn't paralyze him completely because of the ectoplasm. He also definitely sees the potential Danny has.

Danny info dumps about space to everyone and everything at any chance he can, someone asks a question that shows they have a mild interest in the subject and he's off like a rocket. Izuku joins in with his own info dumping about heroes and their quirks, it somehow merges together and they start talking about space quirks and space themed heros.

Uraraka brings up sending him to space with her quirk halfway through a disagreement and Danny straight up drops it and asks her is she would. "Don't worry I can survive if I'm in my ghost form, it's for science! Hey- No wait don't walk away!" He ends up moping around for a whole week after and when Aizawa asked why he loses 5 years off his life. "Please don't ask your classmates to try and kill you." "But sir I'm already dea-" "get out!"

He duplicates himself so he can hold both of Eris hands to swing her, Eri loves to try and figure out which one is the original and she's surprisingly good at it.

Todoroki uses his fire side to help with Danny's chronic pain, after a while it becomes a habit to hold hands and all their spare time they're glued to eachother, neither of them are complaining.

Dan likes Star Wars- mainly to be different from Danny but also because of the themes of Dark and Light (His fav characters are probably Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Anakin/Vader and maybe even Kylo Ren- Def Anakin and Maul tho)

He adores being Dani’s “older brother” and loves Dani and Jazz dearly. It’d take him a while but I feel he’d warm up to Danny too

When he wants to he can be very intelligent and has a knack for engineering- specifically aerospace- and physics- especially Astrophysics

Dan listens to Metal (I’m talking FFDP and Bad Omens) mainly but also Hard Rock, Punk Rock, Rap Rock and Industrial Metal but his secret pleasure is new age orchestral- like Audiomachine and Two Steps From Hell (and maybe some pop- you can’t tell me he wouldn’t vibe with Lady Gaga)

He cusses- Vlad hates it. So he does it more

Dan picks up playing guitar- specifically electric or bass guitar. And maybe the piano but like hell would he let anyone know about it

He watches Bluey with Dani- it’s healing for the both of them

I think Danny would use the knowledge that we are all made from stars as a source of comfort.

All the basic elements were created by stars exploding, then reforming, then exploding to create new elements. That means ectoplasm would also come from stars.

So even though Danny is no longer completely human, he would still be made of stardust. I think that would comfort him; that at least one thing stayed the same.

How much sense would it make if the fenton parents were ghosts?

Think about it,,,,,with their level of lab safety, death is not that hard to manage. There's literally samples of ectoplasm in their fridge. Right next to the food. The food that they eat that occasionally comes alive due to ecto contamination. Which is harmful to humans.

Also their ghost hate and obsessive biased ghost research really reminds me of ghost obsessions.

Like how ironic would this be?? The ghost hunters are ghosts themselves. But they don't know it. Also their son is a half ghost called phantom. They want to dissect Phantom. They don't know Phantom is their son.

It would definitely make Danny lose sleep because his ghost sense keeps going off whenever he sets foot it the house.

He chalks it up to his parents research stuff triggering it.
