Who else, other than X, was loyal to the law and justice dictated by it over any moral or ethic code?

Who else was portrayed with such single-minded focus on hunting down traitors of the government he served, regardless of what it was?

Who else could know not only Coruscant so well but also identify Rex like they knew each other?

He already was a remarkably successful tracker of traitors, why not make him more efficient by pointing them out for him?

not to make angst out of a fucking gag but also thinking about the silly au rei in the final episode makes me think about how different rei would be if she didn’t have literally the worst dad ever. like, no, she probably wouldn’t have been the upbeat adhd whirlwind in the high school au lmao. but it does just make me think. because while all the pilots lives are incredibly marked by trauma, rei's the only one to have never had access to any sort of normal life. her entire personality and worldview is shaped from being isolated, groomed, and taught to see herself as a tool and not a person. and then i just get so sad that she never had any chance of a normal life where she could discover herself and what she is. she went from being abused and manipulated by gendō (which is made even worse with the implications certain scenes leave about their relationship) to becoming god. she never had any chance of living a normal life. and just like. fuck.

So Kisame's often considered the fourth most powerful Akatsuki member, but the top three are pretty unanimously Obito, Pain and Itachi. And with Kisame's motto being survival of the fittest and MO being taking out the weakest links, it’s fascinating to see him end up as one of the most well connected members of the Akatsuki. And since the top three never openly get to clash, technically speaking, he stays loyal to all of them. He's; 

- Working broadly for Pain, Akatsuki's open leader, who wants to create peace through traumatising the world through a cycle of war

- Working secretly for Obito, Akatsuki's real leader (and by proxy, Madara and Zetsu, Akatsuki's real-real leaders), who wants to create peace through trapping the world in a dream realm

- Working day-to-day for/with Itachi, the Akatsuki's biggest name, most powerful field member, and a secret double agent, who wants to create peace through becoming the most powerful shinobi that's ever lived,  and through using that power 'as much as he wants', 'lead the world to subjugation'

So either Kisame is the ninja equivalent of the minions, or the dojutsu wielding top three of the Akatsuki all looked to him and went 'yup, he's Henchman Shaped'

god minnie, i’m so happy you brought up the burden of being. i’ve been sad bc i’ve missed being caught up in a story the way that the burden of being had me.

but you can rest easy. they do get back together :) i actually don’t imagine osamu gaining back all his memories to be honest. there are some things that come back to him, i think the bavo-kun memory is one of them because it’s one of the most recent ones but for the most part, he does navigate reconnecting with reader and all the members of hyogo ward instinctually.

it’s kind of like when you show up to a family reunion and you have all these aunties and uncles saying they knew you when you were this tall. that kind of thing. like he knows these people have been involved in his life some way or another and that he’s meant to be kind and receptive to their generosity. but truly, he cannot place them in his mind prior to remeeting them again.

osamu initially loves her like it is second nature. he cannot explicitly say why he does. he just knows, deep down, in his heart and soul and body, that he does. he loves her. it does make for difficult courtship in the beginning but they are able to restart their relationship as two absolutely different people. because reader from the beginning of the burden of being is absolutely different than the one from the end. the same, obviously goes for osamu.

osamu also never goes back to cooking for a living! he does enjoy it as a side hobby, but he ends up staying on his pro volleyball path. he does leave msby after his falling out with atsumu and i think he finds himself on a division 2 league. he’s still good but a lot of time had passed since he’d taken a break and part of the reason he got a position of a division 1 team is because of atsumu.

i got like three different compliments from people today on my customer service and im not gonna lie I greatly enjoy feeling like im winning at Restaurant Host

#two from guests one from newly promoted manager #i find it kinda funny when I get props from people for squeezing their reservation in or changing it without complaint or just doing #whatever in order to get them seated/reserved/etc despite whatever circumstances come up just cause like #it comes off as caring customer service which isn’t totally Wrong or anything #but I’m not trying to go above and beyond or anything at all generally. in my brain its just like. #restaraunt tetris. autistic little game in my head where I try to make everyone fit into a floorplan and update things accordingly and take #on new problems to solve and so on #I wish it was busier more often so I could actually Do this more often and like. use my autistic powers like this #cause when it’s not busy I’ve Hardly got anything to do on this front and I either get painfully bored or start stealing other peoples jobs #im. half joking there #anyway excited for thanksgiving cause in addition to 1.5x holiday pay we also hav fucking 90 people booked in the span of three hours #which will be chaotic as hell but hehehehehehe NO BOREDOM FOR ME #now THAT’s restaraunt tetris. i started playing spider-man ps4 in like. 2018. and i didn’t get super far into it but then i just kinda didn’t really use the ps4 until this week, and i’ve gone back to play (and hopefully finish) it, and either i don’t remember 80% of it or i just missed SO much last time lmao

#like i remember one of the last things i did before i didn’t touch it again was the fisk tower and like i was swinging around the outside of #and i haven’t even reached that yet but i have found SO much more #like i think i’m further in percent than i was last time despite being further back in the main story #i don’t think my brain was used to games back then #we had a wii and i had a ds but the games i played were categorically easy kids games because i was definitely not Good #and before i got spider-man the ps4 was mainly used for the lego games #but i’ve got four whole months to finish spiderman :) #then i’ve gotta go back and restart detroit become human #that’s another one that i left behind #i’ve managed to avoid spoilers all these years somehow #also star wars battlefront is the other one i want to finally play #the second one with the solo mission #i used to play it with my dad all the time and we’d play against each other until one of us got motion sick lmao #anyway #i’m excited to have gotten back into the ps4 #mads makes a post
