Now teacher at the Newmoon college, Daria studied at Cloudtower while Icy was a professor there. She had a reputation as the most fashion savvy witch in the school (yes, she adores Stella and her clothing lines) and for rejecting every single Specialist who sought her out. She could not live without the sun and the water, so she was most often found at Lake Roccaluce, either on the beach or on a boat, tanning and studying and keeping up with Solarian gossip.

It is not uncommon to see her use a gravity-altering spell to walk on walls, typically to avoid crowds when in a rush or to avoid specific people. No she won't apologize for that.

Lore checkpoint: witch forms system 🔮

It is parallel to that of fairies, so three base forms plus an undefined number of special forms (where "special form" means an adaptation to a particular situation or environment - you'll notice all fairy forms after season 3 respond to this logic -).

Please note that I don't see witches as inherently evil and immoral persons, but as magic users that choose to use a negative source for their magic.

Base form: like fairies, a witch first transforms after training or due to an extreme situation.

Gloomix: while in the series Darkar gifts it to the Trix, the average witch has to get it like a fairy has to get Charmix. A fairy has to overcome a moral limit and/or character flaw in a positive way, a witch will have to do the same but isn't bound to a positive developement. For example, if a witch is unable to work in group (Bloom's Charmix), she can get her Gloomix by trusting others and doing her part, or by bossing around and giving orders. Some time after its aquisition, the Gloomix jewel can be absorbed into the base form, like Charmix in season 3.

Disenchantix: I would so like to erase it from existence for the look only, but we gotta keep the little canon we have. Disenchantix is obviously the equivalent to Enchantix and it is usually gained through sacrificing something important for a person of the same birth planet, but that belongs to that person, not to the witch. It is rarely gained, but examples are sacrificing someone else's life, body parts, senses or feelings alike. You get to choose how dramatic you want it to be, but remember that the counterpart is Enchantix. Unlike Enchantix, though, this form can also be absorbed into the base form. This is something a witch could do for many reasons, from being uncomfortable in her new form to wanting her opponent to underestimate her powers.

Other witch forms

Dark Sirenix: steal it from a Sirenix fairy if you must, but I am pretty sure there's other water forms for witches. Of course, if your target is the Infinite Ocean, Sirenix is the only chance.

Dark Witch: I headcanoned Dark Witch in two ways.

One: it is powered by the Dragon Flame like Bloomix, so the only way to aquire it is to get a spark of Dragon Flame and focus on its usage (which the Trix wouldn't have done until season 6).

Two: it's aquired when a witch learns and successfully executes the spell to access the Dark Dimension and can thus wield crow dust (the opposite of fairy dust, we see it in 3x22), hence all those crows coming around for the transformation.

Whatever the hybrid form the Trix assume at the end of s7 is, I consider it an unprecedented accident caused by wild magic.

Fantransformations

Shadix: the name comes from "shadow", it's due to the fact that a witch gets this form after absorbing part of the powers of someone with the same powers as her. That makes it a rather rare form, especially considering how exceptionally specific some powers can be (take Aisha: she used to be the fairy of fluids, all fluids, so if a witch with water powers wanted to get Shadix she couldn't do it with Aisha because their powers are similar but don't match). The witch can absorb the other person's powers directly or through a third object (in my story it was a magic carillon that copied the powers of who listened to its music).

Shadix is visually built on two things: flowy/large elements and pyrite details, refined or raw. The first ones are due to the fact that shadows change their size according to the position of the light source and the object that casts the shadows, so the clothes will look one way when still and another when in motion. The second because pyrite is known as the fool's gold, a copy of gold, it's a call back to how Shadix is earned.

Demonix: the name comes from the Greek word "daimon", which means both spirit and demon (also conscience and other things we don't care about). It is aquired when a demon grants a witch its powers, be it because it's forced to or because the witch gives something for that power (again, it's up to you how far you want to push things).

Demonix represents both the witch's personality and world and those of the demon, the stones on clothes and hair symbolize their pact. My OCs' outfits aren't modern era, for the demons they met were from the past.

Heartix: the name comes from heart because this transformation, which is common to fairies and witches, can only be aquired in two ways: you either understand each and every nuance of your powers, which takes years and years of studying, or you accidentally come in direct contact with the very source of your powers (their heart, in a way).

Heartix is an extremely powerful transformation as it grants complete control over one's powers with no restrictions, although it can be unstable when it is first earned. After some time it becomes more stable and less subject to the feelings of the witch or the fairy (meaning they won't risk blowing everything up when they get upset).

Heartix also comes with two forms, one "normal" and one "elemental" (e.g. if Icy had Heartix, in her elemental form she would be made of ice).

When in elemental form everything the witch or fairy touches turns into their power (again, if it were Icy everything whould become ice), so it's really better to use it rarely. The only known exception to this rule is Arcadia, the first fairy, but the reason she can touch anything in the Golden Kingdom while in her elemental form is that the Kingdom itself was created by her powers so she is indeed manipulating everything she touches.

The only outfit rule in this is that it has to express both the powers and personality of who earns it, so go wild. Differentiate as much as you want. You want a character to wear baggy, leaf printed pants and another to wear the periodic table on a tube dress? You want your Heartix fairy to have foldable wings like those of a ladybug or you want them bigger in the lower part and smaller in the upper? Go ahead. You're free. Enjoy the horror vacui.

Binded by shadows -Chapter 1: The shadow witch -Part 1

The trix entered the mostly desolate cave, they’d lost against the winx once more. “Those stupid little fairies are getting more aware.. How are we supposed to do anything?” Stormy asked, sitting down on a rock. “One of us could go in disguise and infiltrate Alfea.” Darcy suggested. Icy scoffed. “That wouldn’t work, Bloom attacked some princess she thought was me in disguise off intuition alone. It can’t be one of us to infiltrate.” The other 2 witches rolled their eyes. “You always reject every idea that we come up with so we have to do it your way, I’m honestly so sick of it.” Darcy said, standing up and starting to approach Icy. “SILENCE!” Valtor shouted, holding the bridge of his nose. “Darcy, I want you to pay attention to your surroundings. Look into the shadows, reach out.” He commanded, fixing his posture on the makeshift throne. “Why?” She questioned. “Just do it.” Valtor commanded. Darcy reached into the shadows and grinned maliciously. Darcy dragged out a disembodied body of shadows with pure white eyes and tossed it onto the floor. The shadows rescinded to reveal the true form of the intruder. The Trix surrounded the intruder. A fair skinned witch around the age of 16 with long chestnut brown coloured hair tied into a ponytail sat on the ground, her green eyes darting around the cave. Suddenly the entire cave went pitch black for a moment. The cave quickly lit up once more as Icy quickly encapsulated the witch into a block of ice. The trix then charged up their magic and prepared to blast her. “Bring the intruder over here. I’ve just come up with a plan.” Valtor commanded, The trix looked at him like he’d gone insane. “Well? You heard me.” The trix grumbled and pushed the block of ice towards him. With a wave of his hand, the block melted into nothing but a puddle, leaving a confused, cold and soaked witch on the ground. “I know you. During the siege on Alfea, you were hiding in the shadows, just watching. Cowardly move in most cases. But I disagree. You can be useful. I need someone on the inside of Alfea, but sending one of these 3 is too much of a risk. It’d draw suspicions if they stand out too much. Your powers are perfect for this. So I’ll give you 2 choices. Swear your undying loyalty to me, have all the power you can imagine..Or you can flee and I’ll destroy everything you care about. Just like I did with Domino. Though I’ll make sure to finish the job on the princess that time.” Valtors eyes bore into her form while he grinned maliciously. She nodded her head hesitantly and kneeled. Valtor grabbed her wrist roughly and placed his mark upon it. Then he let go, leaving a bruise over the mark. She rubbed her wrist and stared at it. “Oh! I almost forgot.” He snapped his fingers, 2 black wrist cuffs with purple gems on each one appeared on her arms, one of them covering the mark. “What are these?” She questioned, admiring their beauty. “Ever heard of a dead man's switch? It's similar to that but only you die. If I sense even a hint of betrayal from you..” The cuff became transparent for a moment as the mark on her wrist started spreading a glowing black substance around her hand. She held it up to her face and stared in terror, her hand had turned dark blue with hints of purple and was transparent. Her hand suddenly reverted to normal as Valtor just stood there, an evil grin plastered on his face. “Do you understand now?” He asked sternly, his gaze fixed on her fearful expression. She nodded nervously. “Good, now go.” And with that she quickly left. “You three, While she’s at Alfea. Follow her, don’t interact with her unless she’s..off track.” The trix groaned. The young woman stood in line, awaiting her turn to be let inside. “Next.” The vice headmistress called out as she approached. “Name?” She asked, glancing at her then back at the list. “Princess Fade of Evonis.” She said, praying she’d enrolled properly. “Go on and get your schedule from the front office and then proceed to the auditorium.” Fade nodded and adjusted her tiara as she walked into the school.

The Trix - Disenchantix

Well, I finally got around to doing my redesigns of Disenchantix, where I did take inspiration from choco__fish's redesigns but gave it my own personal touch. I don't think I'm alone in saying that the Disenchantix from the actual show was an absolute joke. The designs were just raunchy and glorified swimsuits, they really weren't being put on an equal playing field as The Winx, and they lost it at the end of the episode. I feel like Disenchantix should've had better designs, put them at the same level as the Winx Club to make the battles more interesting, they shouldn't have lost it, and it should've been introduced earlier (Like maybe after Stella got her Enchantix) to make their attacks more threatening. Not to mention, give them new hairstyles. So this is an update from their Gloomix form (Which I allowed them to keep and not lose after Darkar was defeated) and in my version of season 5 they will earn their Dark Witch forms. I did give Darcy and Stormy their Dark Witch hairstyles for this form because I have something else in mind for their hairstyles in their Dark Witch forms. What is Disenchantix?

Valtor grants the Trix their second transformation through a simple incantation. This is an Amplified Form, but in 4Kids, it’s also called Disenchantix. The form increases the power of its user and their ability to recover. In this form, witches are dressed in bikini-like outfits with color trims. Each has a jeweled headband or tiara on their head, along with armbands on both biceps and heavy eyeshadow across their faces. The witches also have semi-transparent shawls wrapped around their hips with bands around their left mid-thigh and knee-high boots.

The last member of the male cast to round everything out is Aether! Much like his sister, Aether is a fairy as well and one of the lost royals of Khaenri'ah. And when I say lost, I literally mean lost. No one has a clue as to what happened to him after he allowed Lumine and Dainsleif to flee to safety in Khaenri'ah's destruction.

Unlike Lumine and her friends initially, Aether is an Enchantix level fairy. Though his physical form is trapped in the darkest pits of who knows where, he is still able to contact Lumine through her dreams with the boost in power he found himself with. Aether is determined to guide his sister as best he can until the day that they are reunited and their kingdom is restored to its former glory.

I think the reason why they were in the believix forms in the game is because it was produced in the nick era. once the show got handed to them they promoted the FUCK out of believix so it was everywhere from the websites to the games. it was essentially the face of the nick version of winx club

Disenchantix the form of power

This is a witch form that the trix gain around szn 3 it’s regarded as the equivalent to enchantix as the “final form” and even had power levels equal to it.

To gain this form typically a witch has to do a deed that is so vile that the magic grants them the form typically meaning hurting or injuring people but at worst means killing…most witches don’t even try to get this form because of the crazy requirements but a lot dream of getting it.

In my rewrite the trix would gain it along side the winx getting enchantix so it’s not just a one episode thing but a form they stick with for a while.I was thinking of giving them a fairy dust equivalent maybe like a “vile of curses” of something like that but I don’t know yet.

Winx, The Roxy Chronicles: High Witch Selina

Finally an answer for all those asking about Selina's forms! It's not Gloomix or Disenchantix, but a higher Witch form you can gain naturally (using the design conventions from the Dark Witch forms from Season 6)

Your final witch form is called "High Witch", so Selina would be "High Witch of Wild Magic"

I had to scrap my Enchantix design for her, but I might reuse it as like a party dress or something. Aka I spend too damn long on it to have it go to waste XD

What's your favorite outfits for the Trix?

I love this ask because I am nothing if not obsessive about fashion and the narrative use of fashion in TV. Unfortunately, the trix don't get a big variety of outfits, but I'll work with the few ones we do get.

Darcy's civilian clothes.

This look is just amazing and shaped my fashion sense as a tender seven year old child. Not to mention, the whole look really reflect Darcy as a character, her uniqueness, personality and powers. It's fashionable and modern which makes us realise she cares about how she's perceived and conventional standards (reflecting her vanity), but still have a strong sense of individuality with the witchy 70s influences, mainly the bell bottoms and yellow sunglasses, setting her apart from the crowd. And by the way, while we're on the topic of those damn sunglasses?? They're an endless source of fandom debate because we never really know for sure why she wears them. I personally subscribe to the headcanon that she wears them purely for aesthetics but probably pretends she wears them due to being light sensitive. Whichever the case, both go so well with her personality. The whole look is also very much giving sexy-nerd which is just so real tbh. This is peak character and fashion narrative.

2. Stormy's disguise

There's a good reason the boys at the red fountain started flirting with Stormy when she was in this disguise, she was scandalously hot in it. It might not have a big narrative purpose but it's beautifully mid 2000s. I love that the color scheme is Stormy's regular colors slightly brightened up and with the blue being dominant - a little sneaky hint about who she really is.

3. Icy's disguise

The whole vibe of this outfit is reflective of Icy's personality. It's sporty, fashionable and hot, designed in all blue. I also just adore the platinum blonde hair that went with this look.

4. Darcy's gypsy look.

It's so fun to see the disguises the trix put on. I like this one solely because Darcy looks stunning in it. Lol.

(dis)Honorable mention: Disenchantix

Disenchantix is one of those looks that I can never make up my mind about, because frankly I find it too sexualised. I mean, Valtor putting three young women in lingerie makes me physically cringe when watching it but none the less I can appreciate what the show was attempting with this look. The shawls and skirts bring my mind to the witchy vibes of Stevie Nicks in the 70s and the fashion of witchy and occult communities. However, the overly revealing interpretation of this look very much screams male-fantasy to me. It had so much potential that just went down the drain. If I had even an ounce of drawing skills I would redesign disenchantix in a heartbeat.
