I cleared it first try so I didn't have to strategize that much but imo the name of the game for beating the Amons is DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE

my party was Kiryu (dragon of dojima w/ just level 1 inheritances like burning arrow, trippy flipper ripper and bro-side bbq) Saeko (barmaid with kunoichi and idol skill inheritance particularly scattering flowers, throat slitter, healing voice, and whatever the idol one is that removes status effects from everyone) Seonhee (assassin with housemaid and night queen for scum scraper and candle rush in particular and I think also healing voice from idol) and Zhao (gangster and tbh I can't remember what inheritances he had. prob similar to Kiryu's tbh)

Ichiban and Adachi can both be good party members to bring because of their self revives, I really like Ichiban in desperado and Adachi in linebacker if you have the DLC

the big threat here is that Kiryu does not have a self revive unlike Ichiban so it might be worth putting a sacrifice stone on him. unfortunately for me, I busted mine doing the hawaii haunt EX boss fight lol. really just make sure Kiryu stays up on HP, maybe slap a dragon's binding on him and make sure his armor is as good as you can give him (even if I still have him in the dragon boots.....)

whatever amon you can burst down fastest is your priority target. for me I had a lot of ice damage I could throw at them and was using the dolphin bag on Saeko so whichever one was ice weak is the one I was hammering. bring a paella and as many party fruit cups and teas as you can scrounge up, you can buy fruits around hawaii relatively quick. Zhao was largely on support with homemade dim sum and then his aoe essences

scum scraper is great for knocking off buffs as well as being a grapple. Kiryu will usually do more damage with a proximity bonus regular attack in brawler (assuming you have his...... spirit? high enough to have that attack upgraded) than an ice weak trippy flipper ripper so if you're not snagging multiple guys in it just punch em. if they're really clustered up and you have the upgraded beast proximity attack, hoo boy that will do damage

don't sleep on ceremonial teas they clear status effects for everyone. Saeko's combo action fully heals and clears status effects so use it in a pinch. Seonhee's and Zhao's you can use right off the bat to soften people up, and I used Kiryu's a couple turns in once I had identified whose ass was getting kicked the fastest. they DID revive one amon once and I'm not sure the trigger for it or if it's a one time only thing but I beat him back down pretty quick. burns from candle rush and wok and a hard place are good extra damage

for equipment: eye of the dragon, dragon's binding, transcendent insole, goddess's ikali (sp? the one that ups ice/fire/elec attacks), bracelet of the four devas, any of the max atk/def/will/magic accessories, and I always keep the instant KO/curse nullifier on my party leader. armor is just gonna be whatever the best stuff you have is

if you're still getting your ass kicked it can be worth throwing everyone through the first dozen or so levels of the other jobs just for the stat boosts, usually that's just one or two fights. hopefully something in this wall of texts helps, good luck!!

Drarry Tag Game

When did you get into Drarry and why? Sometime near the middle/end of 2012. I was a Sirry person at first. Not that I didn’t think I’d like Drarry, but as far as writing, I figured everything with the pairing had probably already been written and so it would be arrogant of me to jump in and start writing them myself. (I had weird ideas idk.) I read a little Drarry here and there that year, but it was beta’ing Shelly’s hd_hols fic, Swish and Flick that first got me interested in reading Drarry.

Which Drarry fic hooked you? ignatiustrout’s ( @6balls ) Here’s the Pencil, Make It Work. It made me want to be a Drarry writer, like for real. It made me want to improve my writing in general and take it more seriously and see what I could do if I put more of myself into it. That fic is fucking amazing.

Top three A LOT favorite Drarry fics: This is an evil question. I need at least four because @bixgirl1 is going to get two spots just for herself. So yes, That Old Black Magic and In the Red (Let it be known that I could name eight more easy.) This is where it gets evil. Can I just name everything written by @shealwaysreads and @the-starryknight ?? And also birdsofshore?? Is that cheating? Can I sneak Modern Love by @tackytigerfic in too? And their one with the mpreg because my heart!!! And The Light More Beautiful by @firethesound ? Written on the Heart by who-la-hoop! dirtynumbangelboy by @magpiefngrl ! God, this is torture. Obviously I can’t answer this question properly and more importantly I refuse to.

Okay but…

I love exploring the choices we make, the ones that lead us into places of guilt, anguish, hopelessness, and the ones that lead us out of them. I love the idea that these two people can find each other in the worst of circumstances and be changed by one another.

I think @phoebe-delia mentioned about how she’s come to realize her best is enough through Drarry, and I feel similarly sometimes too.

Also enemies-to-lovers is and will always be SO HOT.

Ideal career for Harry? For Draco? Harry: lay-about. Seriously, I just want him to be enough as-is. But when he’s bored with that, how about teacher, or counselor. I’d love Harry as a Mind Healer. Also doing philanthropy. For Draco: Arithmancer, something super smart and magic-y. I also like philanthropist for him though. Or Muggle stuff, so he gains an appreciation for Muggles.

Harry and Draco are being sent to a desert island for a week with plenty of food and water. Each is allowed to bring three additional items (no wands). What do they bring? Harry: a Snitch, a broom, extra biscuits (he’s afraid ‘plenty of food’ did not include biscuits); Draco: a Wireless, a beach umbrella, and yeah, I really like @kbrick ’s lube answer. Definitely lube.

Favorite non-Drarry HP character? My darling boy, Teddy Lupin.

Hello!

I’m MLys, I’m a 27 years old French simmer and I’ve been sharing maxis match custom content for The Sims 4 for three years.

I’ve discovered the game with The Sims 1 back when I was 9 and I immediately fell in love. I still remember when I’ve unwrapped the base game and Vacation EP at Christmas! Thereafter, I’ve been a huge Sims 2 player (gameplay wise it’s still my favorite of the franchise), skipped The Sims 3, and out of curiosity and nostalgia, came back to the game with The Sims 4 without a lot of expectations. I just wanted to play time to time in my corner, mostly as a builder, and didn’t have any intention to start a blog and create CC.

The need of creating my own custom content quickly came up because I felt frustrated to not find the items I needed to design my builds the way I imagined them. I already downloaded CC as a kid, and was sooo obsessed about it back then! I ingeniously wished I could be able to do the same and run my own sims download website, but it wasn’t easy to find proper tutorials in French (and I most likely wasn’t mature and skilled enough ahah) so I had no idea how all those things worked. I just accepted that it was some computer magic. Several years and more experience later, that sweet memory contributed to make me want to give it a try and take my revenge!

My Exhibition set, specially made for the museum I was building, was the first CC I completed and shared on my blog. The set was very simple, but it was already foreshadowing what I would particularly love to do ever since: trying to expand the lore of the Simverse! As it can be deduced from this set, I was very inspired by the creative @femmeonamission’s Great Art Serie and the principle of only using resources from the game. Simlish fonts weren’t enough, I wanted to embrace the fact that the Sims live in a similar but alternative world to ours, with its own peculiarities and silly historical background.

I’ve started to become a build mode catalog and Sims Wiki nerd, trying to collect Sim cultural references from all the games and brainstorm head canons that I could exploit for my builds backstories and CC design. I just need a consistent universe!!

I loved to imagine swatches for my tucked tee, which illustrates that approach pretty well. The TS4 concept artists have created so many cute and creative little gems in the game that need a second life, like the base game paintings and the movies from the Movie Hangout SP.

An other example is of course my baby Pufferhead Stuff, that was initially supposed to be a tiny set inspired by a base game poster, but that ended up being a liiiiittle bit more ambitious, whoops. I spent an outrageous time working on all the details I could think about to make the pack cohesive and refer to Harry Potter without losing the maxis match spirit. I am so so touched when I see simmers considering some elements from Pufferhead as canon in their game! During the process, I genuinely thought that I spent a useless time on things that most simmers would barely pay attention to, such as the Harnock sorting test, so it was really rewarding to discover that people actually appreciated the effort!

The second part of the Exhibition set that I’ve made with @aroundthesims has a very special spot in my heart. I’ve been a big fan of Sandy’s work since day 1, and downloaded everything she did. When I’ve started to share CC, I needed to fangirl in her DM to tell her how she inspired me. It must sound silly, but when she proposed to collaborate, I felt so crazy happy and proud! If mini-MLys playing sims in her bedroom full of dolphin and HP posters had heard about that, her brain would have been like “Can’t… compute…”

I can’t introduce myself either without talking about my friends from The @Plumbobteasociety!  They’re the first friends I’ve ever made online and I love them (I’ve even met some irl!). Working on Cottage Garden Stuff with them was a blast. There was a real team spirit and it definitely made me progress. Never I would have been able to work by myself on Pufferhead without the Cottage Garden experience and without their support!

There is something very fulfilling in collaborating with someone that got skills that you don’t have, and managing together to create something cool. I had that feeling with those projects, but also with the talented @illogicalsims who accepted to make the render of Pufferhead. It really was out of my current ability and his final render is fully part of the identity of the pack and I’m sure contributed to valorize it, so I can’t thank him enough for that!

…Like for real. I don’t try to be mushy or something. That simblr really helped me at times when I needed it. I definitely have a creative profile, but without a specific goal in mind, I tend to want to do and learn so much things at the same time, that I end up feeling overwhelmed and uninspired, and don’t practice anything. And then I feel frustrated and can’t manage to have a consistent hobby. When I started the blog, I totally underestimated all the various skills it would actually make me work on: 3d modeling, texturing, editing, illustration, storytelling, my English… and even video editing for the Pufferhead trailer! I admit that I haven’t talked about that blog to a lot of my irl friends, because I’m afraid they wouldn’t understand that it’s not “unworthy”. And well, I myself also devalue a lot what I produce in general. I’m working on feeling more confident and share with them all the good memories and touching moments I have from my simming experience! All the adorable support I’ve received here through those last 3 years really really helped for that, and I can’t express how much it means to me <3

i’m mad about corona. i know it’s stupid because no one can do anything about it, but it’s just so frustrating to know that there are people dying from it. of course people die all the time, but like we could’ve all prevented it to some degree by actually staying at home in quarantine. and now everyone is going out and the numbers are spiking again, and i’m supposed to go back to school, which puts my whole family at risk. and like it also feels selfish to want things to go back to normal when, like i said, people are dying. but yeah

when i have the energy to or when the situation presents itself, i do. i feel like if i actually liked my wardrobe i would do it more often, but like i honestly rotate through like 1 pair of jeans and like 3 shirts. if we’re talking about dresses and things like that, i sometimes do. just to remind myself that i’m a badass bitch😌 but overall id say sort of?

Salutations, witches and wizards! Slytherflynn here. I haven’t posted on this account in a long time. My reason? Actually, there are a few. I’ll get to those soon. Today I’m going to give you an introduction to me, discuss why my exodus happened, and what this blog will consist of moving forward. Let’s jump right in!

Who Is Slytherflynn? Who else? My name’s Eden, but my last name is Flynn, hence the username. I am a Slytherin primary, Hufflepuff secondary. My patronus is a dolphin, so that’s pretty cool. I’m mixed, but live the life of a white girl because I look white and don’t care to argue with people about my DNA. I enjoy elevating underrepresented voices, and will go to any length to protect the unprotected. I’d consider myself to be a humanitarian. I know people despise labels, but I believe choosing labels wisely can give others a great insight into who you are as a person, so here are some labels I identify with: Bisexual, Androgynous, BLM Ally, Liberal, Socialist, University Student, Abuse Survivor, ADHD, Excoriation Disorder, OCD, Depression, PTSD, [an] Attachment Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Tacoman, Creator. My Magical Journey I grew up in a dreadfully muggle world. My mother, also a muggle, delighted in Harry Potter, as did my brothers. I was resolutely a Harry Potter hater, and thought they were too fangirly, but when Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out and I saw Louis Cordice portray Blaise Zabini, everything changed. I may or may not have gone off the deep end and started fangirling over him - what? He’s attractive, okay? But I did end up reeling myself in, as having unrealistic fictional crush is one thing, but thirsting for an unattainable person who probably is married with a kid by now is another, and I didn’t want to get to a point where I was fetishizing someone rather than admiring them for their skills and unique perspective on the world. He did notice my thirsting though, and thought it was funny! So no harm, no foul as far as I’m concerned. Absolute win! Anyways, after becoming a fan of him, Tumblr let me know that there was more content about Blaise Zabini in the books than the movies, so what did I do? Commit to reading all seven, because my ADHD said so and would rather do that than homework. Eventually, I started up this side blog so my main blog wouldn’t be so flooded with hp content. I have written quite a few fics, all appropriate, all probably trash because most of them were written in my junior year of high school, all available for you to read. I ought to make a masterlist for my work, now that I think about it. Anyways, you can find that content and other fun stuff under the tag #slytherflynn so check that out for some light, probably shitty reading!

Why I Left At some point, I decided not to post as much, and went from 100 to 0, real quick. I have a bunch of unfinished writing in my drafts, and I’m not really sure how to start up everything again, but I know I want to, because writing and creating is such a passion of mine, and so is Harry Potter. Part of the reason I left was because I’m a perfectionist and felt this need to make every post perfect, my feed perfectly curated, everything perfectly on time, and I ended up holding myself to a standard that I just can’t meet - no human could, not even Hermione Granger, as evidenced in Prisoner of Azkaban. It took a long time to come back to this blog because I burnt myself out, truth be told. That perfectionism carries over into every aspect of my life - I did mention I want to do everything, after all - and I ended up piling so much up that I couldn’t get all of it done. I felt guilty every time I thought about this blog, because I had so many faithful followers that I essentially abandoned without warning, and I know feeling abandoned isn’t a good feeling. That, and I still couldn’t shake the shame surrounding the fact that I wasn’t posting content every week despite my want to. I even considered deleting this blog! Sorry to anyone who was waiting for me to post hp content on my main account ( @id-rather-be-an-outsider ), I got too anxious to do that, even.

Seeing the Future I’m not skilled at Divination, but I can confirm that I will be making an official return to this blog - complete with Witch Weekly articles whenever I have updates to give! I have at least one short fic finished that I’d like to create a moodboard for and post on here sometime soon. This time around, I’m only going to be posting when I really want to so I’m not putting any pressure on myself, and I’m going to open up asks for you guys to request writing for pairings (note that I do not write smut), as well as giving you guys the opportunity to submit stories - my goal for submissions is to elevate PoC and other voices the masses don’t usually hear, and I encourage those who do submit to always self-promote in their author’s note! You can find the guidelines for post submissions on my submission section :)

Goodbyes Since we are reaching the end of this article, I’m going to be officially saying goodbye to: negativity, destructively high and unrealistic expectations, anxiety, writer’s block, artist’s block, fear of under 10 notes (notes shouldn’t matter, but yakno, there’s still gonna be that part of me that knows bad writing probably won’t be getting 10 notes so it’s still... scary), fear of unfair criticisms, defensiveness... and hello to: creativity, letting our hair down, wearing our glasses, posts on the witching hour, going to bed early instead of staying up late to force out a piece, perfectly imperfect writing, pretty moodboards, and making mistakes!  1. Do you make your bed? Lol no. I drag my blanket with me everywhere.

2. What’s your favorite number? 3

3. What’s your job? By day; support worker for teens and kids with Autism. By night; freelance editor working with indie authors, publishers and private anthologies. 

4. If you could, would you go back to school? God no, if I can avoid it.i have 6 tertiary qualifications, including a post-grad degree, and I'm still struggling to find a job. I don't want to go back and retrain Again

5. Can you parallel park? To my absolute shock, yes.

6. A job you had which would surprise people? Idk, my jobs are pretty boring and standard. Maybe my internships with publishers? I was a bartender for ages...

7. Do you think aliens are real? I think it's highly unlikely were the only sentient beings in the entire universe, but I don't imagine they'll be visiting us. I wouldn't visit us, we suck 

8. Can you drive a manual car? God no.

9. What’s your guilty pleasure? Barbie movies and really bad shifter romance novels

10. Tattoos? Yes, 3 so far and more to come. I have a symbol for each HP book on my thigh, a antique start chart glyph on my shoulder and upper arm, and the start of a book-themed half sleeve on my forearm. I want so many more!

13. Any Phobias? I have Generalised Anxiety Disorder so it's hard for me to distinguish between phobias and fears. And gosh j have a lot of fears. The dark, small spaces, the ocean, death, failure...

14. Favorite childhood sport? Chronic asthmatic meant I never did any sport.
