Happy Patrick's Day!
Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated on March 17 and is the Day of Ireland and Irish Culture. Anyway, here are pictures from the Duckverse of our favorite green-suited, Irish-related characters and leprechauns and four-leaf clovers. May all the luck follow you!
Happy Ireland Day everyone! Feel free to like and reblog this if you're a fan of these characters in green!

Donald, Daisy and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck celebrate St. Patrick's Day - Donald Duck, Gladstone Gander and Fethry Duck celebrate St. Patrick's Day - Duckverse
March 17th is celebrated as the National Day of Ireland since that day is also St. Patrick's Day which is celebrated by both Catholics and Orthodox and St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. On that day, people in Ireland dress en masse in green and wear partly a Leprechaun suit (a lucky little elf) and carry four-leaf clovers as symbols of good luck. Admittedly, even though I'm late, I definitely drew something related to that day and to wish everyone a happy St. Patrick's Day and may luck follow you!
The first drawing shows Donald and Daisy Duck along with Donald's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck wearing green clothes and a four leaf clover and I drew them in a classic version in my own way. And don't worry, it's not the three Louies, they just wore the same color of clothes. With the fact that Louie wears a backwards cap so you can distinguish a little better. And they are all in fields with four-leaf clovers.
Another drawing shows Donald Duck celebrating St. Patrick's Day with Gladstone and Fethry Duck also in green with Donald and Gladstone Gander wearing leprechaun hats and toasting with ale (Irish beer) and all wearing four leaf clovers. By the way, Gladstone is typical of this, since he is a lucky duck-goose and is constantly pestering Donald because Donald has bad luck. But not this time and so Donald and Gladstone are reconciled and celebrate the holiday together. And then there is Fethry Duck and I mostly drew in my own style combining comics and Ducktales style in 2017. Admittedly, this is an old drawing from two years ago, although I didn't finish it until now, so I haven't used that style in a long time, since I changed it a long time ago.
I hope you like these drawings and I wish everyone a belated Happy St. Patrick's Day and a Happy Ireland Day and good luck! Feel free to like and reblog this, but please don't use my same ideas without crediting me! Thank you!

Since the presidential elections for the US are happening this year, I’d like to give just a little reminder.
Not everyone on here is from the US. It’s so aggravating to be harassed with messages and anons of people demanding to know why you’re not posting about it, or reblogging info, or making it known who you’re voting for… no one… I’m not from and have never been to the US.
And you wouldn’t think this would have to be said, but only people with US citizenship can vote in your elections. So no, people in Ireland, etc. don’t vote for your politicians.
I’m not even joking when I say tourists come here and ask who you’re voting for/ encourage you to vote for ___. I’ve seen Americans write “vote Trump” in the dust in cars. They walk around in their MAGA merch and insist on talking to you about American politics like you are involved. And idk maybe that’s just a symptom of dumbass trumpies, but I’ve had democrats say the same to me.
You also get the asks that acknowledge that it’s not your country’s election, but still think you should be posting to “raise awareness”… girl everyone in the fucking world knows every bit of info about your elections. It is shoved in our face constantly. Because the internet/ media operates as if America is the entire world.
It’s insane. Like people in our own country will know more about American politics than our own! Americans don’t post or even acknowledge other country’s elections, so why are we obligated to do so for yours?

Yeah, you came here when the world was exploding too (has been for decades) but you hid in your golf club like a chickenshit…just like Georgie W.
You also went to Russia while the world was exploding…and China…and, not to North Korea, but you met the guy. Gladhanding with tyrants coz you wanted to be them, while Joe went to support a treaty the US is a guarantor of, and to visit a country that’s the US’s closest ally in, and its gateway to, the EU now the Brits shot themselves in the foot.
Fuck Joe Biden. Fuck the Democrats. Fuck the US. It fucks up the world no matter who’s in charge.
But come on. Pretending the Oompa Loompa was better at statesmanship?
Even the dictatorial régimes he buddied up to knew he was an incompetent moron.
Fuck both sides of the US political aisle but at least one does it out of maliciousness alone instead of malicious incompetence.

One actor, Cillian Murphy, is related to the most powerful politician in Ireland. Rustin, on Netflix, one of many Queer stories out, this year and being considered for Oscars, was produced by the former President, Barack Obama, and I don't care who he is. This is elitist bullshit.
Malia Obama was one of the producers on the ill-fated and toxic, SWARM, produced by Donald Glover, who told the lead actress to pretend she was a Dog. WTF is wrong with these people?
(I mean, I know what it is. I just wonder if others are figuring it out)

Contrast: The Kidnapping of Jean Lundegaard (Fargo) vs. The Kidnapping of Dot Lyon (Fargo season 5)
I've juxtaposed the two kidnappings so you can see what's similar and what's different.
Initial entry:
What's the same: In both cases, one criminal breaks in through the back while the other comes in through the front door. In the film, Carl breaks in through the back while Gaear breaks in through the front door. In the show, Munch comes in through the back, Ireland enters through the front door.
Point of divergence:
Film: Jean just gawks at Carl like a complete idiot and doesn't react until he breaks the window. Gaear then manages to almost subdue her when he comes in, but she manages to bite his wrist and runs upstairs, intending to hide in the bathroom and try to use the phone to call 911. The kidnappers then follow her upstairs (and also so Gaear can look for ointment).
Show: Dot immediately races upstairs, and hides in the bathroom to lie in wait for the kidnappers. She even uses the yarn she was knitting with as bait to draw them to the bedroom.
Victim getting caught in the bathroom:
What's the same: In both cases, the kidnappers realize that their target is hiding in the bathroom. Upon being found, the victim tries to flee, but ends up falling down the stairs.
What's different:
Film: Jean hides in the bathroom and tries to call 911 before the phone cradle and receiver are yanked away from her. Gaear and Carl break down the door. They enter, and Carl leaves to check other rooms after initially thinking Jean escaped out the window. Gaear raids the cabinets looking for ointment. As he finds what he's looking for, he realizes that Jean is hiding in the shower. At this, Jean tries to flee, but gets the shower curtain caught around her. Unable to see, she ends up missing a step, tumbles down the stairs and gets knocked out.
Show: Dot lies in wait for her kidnappers. When Ireland opens the door upon realizing where she might be, she immediately burns his face with an improvised flamethrower made from hairspray and a lighter, in other words, giving Ireland the "Harry from Home Alone blowtorch special". 😉 She then similarly brandishes her flamethrower on Munch to keep him at bay while she tries to run, only to trip on a laundry basket and tumble down the stairs.
Subduing victim for good:
What's the same: The two kidnappers come downstairs and check on their unconscious victim.
What's different:
Film: With Jean unconscious, it's easy for Gaear and Carl to grab her and put her in their Cierra to drive off.
Show: Dot was not knocked unconscious by the fall. She plays possum until the kidnappers come downstairs to check on her. As Munch grabs her by the legs, she suddenly grabs one of Scotty's ice skates and uses it to slash Munch's left cheek and taking off part of his left ear as well. The two manage to corner her in the kitchen, and Dot surrenders only now as it's clear she no longer has the upper hand.
Real TLDR of this whole thing: Well, I'll let Munch describe it best. "You say housewife, so I bring one guy. You say tiger... that's a different guy. Cost you three times."

Bill Maher Compares “National Divorce” Concept To Ireland’s Partition On ‘Real Time’
Last night on HBO‘s Real Time with Bill Maher, the host celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by comparing America’s “national divorce” concept, promoted by the likes of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, to Ireland’s partition in the 1920’s. He noted the parallels between the religious hatred that ignited politics in Ireland prior to its divide and the conflict between Democrats and Republicans in…
