Best historical forts of Rajasthan

Bravery, war stories and remarkable mansions are some of the synonyms often intended for Rajasthan, celebrated for its tour sites. . Rajasthan remains exquisite with its wonder, despite staying at the disadvantage of a waterless state with minimal greenery and widespread sand.

The spread of Desert is more substantial compared to the availability of greens. . • Kumbhalgarh fort- Udaipur-

Travelling to Rajasthan and experiencing the spectacular kumbhalgarh fort is the keynote for every tourist. Standing at subsequent position after The Great Wall of china, the fortifications is 36 kms long.

Providing inspiration to architects today the fort is imbibed with shrines, temples, greens and much more. This heritage has witnessed battles since its built in 15th century by Rana Kumbha.

• Nahargarh Fort- Jaipur-

The fort is located at the distance of 6kms from the Jaipur city, at the edge of Aravalli hills. . The Fort is an eye treat to all the tourists, providing the most breathtaking It incorporates few restaurants in its dwelling, where tourists typically sit and relish the sunset.

The naming of this fort is a whole story alone as several believes, it’s the soul of Rathore Nahar Singh, named after. There is a connected route to Jaigarh fort from the Nahargarh fort via the expansion of fort walls. Reaching the gates of fort is a tough and tiresome chore in itself though the epitome of natural elegance one goes to experience is worth it.

• Junagarh fort- Bikaner-

Besides all the tasty food Bikaner serves, it’s the proud owner of the Junagarh fort. It’s a living example of two remarkable civilizations that ruled during 15th century, Mughals and Rajputs. It was built in 1571 A.D. The phool mahal, Chandra mahal inside the fort are some of the major eye-candy to tourists.

• Amer fort-Jaipur-

Titled after the city Amer, the fort is located 11 kms outside of the Jaipur. Engineered on the hills of Cheel ka teela, is adjacent to Maoti Lake. One can choose to walk to the entrance of fort or utilize the conveyance. Built by one of the main navratans of Akbar, Rajaman singh, the resulting structures is no less than a gem to India.

• Jaigarh fort-Jaipur-

Primarily built by Maharaja Jai singh to guard Amber and Jaipur city, the fort resulted in one of the most beautiful artistic representations. It comprises Museums, residential, temples, gardens and also the world’s largest cannon is a property here. Built in 18th century, the charm of the fort yet endures and has not faded over time.

• Jaislamer fort-jaislamer-

Holding the title of Sonar Quila , Jaislamer fort is the second most significant fort of Rajasthan. Its architecture was completed in 1156 by Rawal jaisal. The use of yellow sandstone's and presence of yellow sand in the city makes it the Golden city of India.

It's made its name to the listing of World Heritage sites by UNESCO.

• Mehrangarh Fort-Jodhpur-

The fort lies in the heart of city and is constructed in the region of 5kms.. The beauty was initiated in 1438 by Rao Jodha. The fort was chosen for the filming of a scene of Hollywood movie The Dark Knight Rises. Multitude of eagles assemble here every day between 3:30-4 p.m. to be fed by the fort authorities.
